Zack smiled as he looked down at the little thing next to him. Barely going up past his waist if that she was the only one who wanted to do THIS on her day with her official event chaperone. At least one girl in that class has some taste.
"You hear what I hear, Marin?" He said as the crowd became thicker on one section of the sidewalk. Children zoomed around at his knee level almost whipping past Marin's face in a sugar rush excitement. The area was blocked off with fences draped with shimmering colored tarps that alternated Red, Blue, Black, Yellow, Purple and White. Zack couldn't help but let an excited little buzz into his own steps as he followed along beside Marin, keeping his hand down toward her level so she could grab onto his hand of his sleeve if the current of the crowd got too much for her or started sweeping her in the wrong direction.

The theme music was loud from here, coming up on the first chorus of the year's theme song that was drawing cheers and howls of excitement from the crowd. It was a good mix of ages, about half to maybe a little more were children and families of kids around Marin's age and older. Some people were adult fans like Zack, wearing custom ordered cosplay jackets from their favorite Sentai or other tokusatsu franchises.
"Ooo, let's see if we can guess the "special guests" He said, pausing with Marin next to one of the massive man sized posters that showed the Kingohger in battle stance with a looming villain behind them. At the margins, between the villain's grasping fingertips were silhouetted figures, black save for a white question mark on each face, about five in all. "Let's see that..." He pointed two gloved fingers at the poster. "Those are the Goraiger brothers from Shinpu Sentai Hurricanger! See the shape of the horns and the staffs, and they're standing back to back with their arms crossed." He said, placing his fingertip on the poster to trace out his evidence on sight. He looked down at her, still three Sentai heroes to identify. He watched her big, expressive eyes search both the image in front of them and the mind behind them.
He had to admit he was silently gauging her, just a little. he wasn't going to gate keep! Especially not a little kid, but identifying silhouettes in production material was a tokusatsu skill set that had been passed down through the ages. Why, if she didn't know how it was his duty as her tokusatsu senpai to teach her!
"Look around the outside details, the stuff you can see even when the center is blacked out. The helmet, the shoulders, the shape of gauntlets or other armor." He said, directing her eye over the three unrevealed figures, keeping on eye on the line to their left to make sure that it didn't move on without them, silently confirming the tickets were still where he left them in his jacket pocket.
