Name:
Mukaido, Nanami
Alias:
None
Age:
17
Gender: Female
Height:
169 cm
Weight:
57 kg
Alignment: Good
Birth Date:
10th February
Birth Place:
USA
Western Horoscope:
Aquarius
Skills/Talents:
+ Singing talent (subjective, so let's not go through detail. She have wide range, but not enough to be an opera singer)
+ Strong memorizing ability
+ Karate (never really joined any dojo, just for self defense and she refused to practice in open anyway)
+ Bilingual
- Very bad at house cleaning chores
- Tends to be rather careless at times
Personality:
An aloof-looking girl that loves nothing more than to talk back at something she dislikes. Nanami might felt like an uncaring girl at first, but that's only because it's her nature. She would tell people who bothered by it that it's not their fault she's that aloof, it's just her natural way of carrying herself. She's not the type that easily impressed nor surprised at sudden turn of event. Toss her to unexpected situation, she'll think a way out. If she cannot get a normal mean of exit, she'll make it. It's as simple as that to her. However, should she impressed by someone, she'll try to approach them boldly and try to make a good friend out of them.
While generally aloof, she's actually pretty nice and willing to help those that she felt need her help, as long as it's within her ability (and not clashing with her view or her schedule). She simply thinks she have no reason to not to help if it's within her ability. Those who get closer to her over time would find a slightly warmer Nanami, yet at the same time, still snarky and loves to tease. While she normally calm, she hate to be forgotten (as in, completely forgotten) and it's noted as her berserk switch. Nanami also incredibly stubborn, hardly willing to change her opinion of something. However, she thinks everyone got their own opinion, and they're free to express themselves. She loves plurality, but hates those who forces their opinion on her. To those kind of people, it's like she'll lose her temper anytime...
NB: She tends to say something really random or really hard to understand when making her points.
Appearance:
Nanami is not tall by western's standard, only about 169 cm and weights rather averagely. She's rather slim and sports light colored skin. Originating her white heritage, her eyes are blue. Originally, her shoulder length hair are black, but she colored it into deep blue which looks more to black than it's blue. Her hair styled in where her bangs divided on the middle, showing her forehead. She tied her hair on side ponytail, usually securing it with sea-themed hair accessory.
Preferring simplicity and decency, Nanami generally wears two layers of clothing which consist of warm clothing on top of blouse for cold days or long sleeved shirt with simple thin cardigan for normal days. For hot days, she prefers to wear something more airy. In all of her attire, Nanami wears a pendant from her childhood, in shape pianissimo sign with very small aquamarine gem on it. The silver part already clouded from age, but she still wear it nevertheless.
Personal History:
Her father is an American with great interest in Japanese culture and gone number of times to the country of sakura. Her mother, meanwhile, was something along the line of someone who raised to be yamato nadeshiko, mastering numbers of japanese traditions. It's sort of unspecified how they met (more like Nanami herself is disinterested on that stuff), but in the end, they married (with her father married into her mother's family and thus taking their surname) and blessed with three sons and a daughter. Her family lives in Florida for the most of her childhood days, with her father opening a karate dojo.
Living with three older brothers and surrounded by martial artists of various age doesn't really make Nanami became blatantly tomboyish, but she got their fair share of roughness (in term of personality). While she's taught how to defend herself, she never really joined the other kids in the dojo and would only occasionally come to the dojo to pass some drinking water or snacks made by her mother. When she's 10, she took interest in music and start taking vocal lesson.
At 15, her maternal grandparents profess that they wanted her to at least attend school in Japan (she suspected it's because they're lonely), and she accepted. Although at first struggling to fit, now she's fine and able to study normally.
