"This... this can't be..."
This... this was pathetic! Just a few moments ago, both Iko and Luke were certain that they had this under control, and that this island was holding some sort of secret to what was happening above. That was a bit naive, perhaps, but did it have to come to this end? Trapped in a tight cage, created by the spare attention of whatever foe was above them? Worse yet, it didn't look like Iko was able to break the dang thing. He was reduced to staring hopelessly at his partner, only two arm-lengths away, swearing at his blades repeatedly snapping against the cage. Just what would happen next?
"Get down, stranger-san!"
"Ah!"
Thank god! With a bright flash of light from above, a powerful-looking dragon was diving towards Luke's cage, that girl from before on its back! Without hesitating, Luke crouched down, covering the back of his head with his hands, as the sword careened forth towards the cage. Mana was lucky that her mount decided to use an excess of force: anything less probably wouldn't have made these bars budge. In fact, they still didn't crumble from the impact of the blade: rather, they snapped at their joints, causing the entire structure to fall apart like a load of bricks. It was rough: tumbling out on the earth in a bruised heap, fiercely clutching his right arm with his left hand, he was freed from his prison.
"Ow..." Wincing, he closed his eyes, which earned the immediate scolding of his partner: "Luke, you don't have time, get up! Young girl, please get Luke on your partner's back, befor-"
Iko didn't even have time to finish his sentence, before the still in-tact cage shot straight up into the air! The sudden jolt caused the wolf-man to buckle, before falling flat backwards, careening straight upwards! Seeing the island become smaller below, he desperately called out below: "Luke!"
"Iko!" S***, this was bad! Haphazardly getting back up on his feet, he ran a few steps forward towards where Iko had taken off...
... Just in time for the island to disintegrate under him. Luke felt his footing give away, the torrent of stones beginning to form...
Okay, this wasn't their day!
_______________________________
"Luke! Luke!"
Damn it, just what was he supposed to do?! Now stuck far above the fight, he looked on below, as the island below became a mess of stone and shrapnel. This... this couldn't be happening, could it? Looking down below, all the wolf could see was a maelstrom of stones and shrapnel: hell, if he was left down there in the cage, he wouldn't have survived.
So what chance did Luke and that girl have, if they were at the center of it!
"Damn it..." Iko clenched his fists, and began wildly swinging at the bars once more. "Damn it!"

Well, who could say that that many unexpected things could happen that fast. The first one was Azramon leaving the scene on a rather quick fashion. Ayaka hadn't expected that, but she couldn't permit herself the luxury of thinking about it. Maybe Azramon was right, but she just couldn't spawn a portal and get away from this. If she wanted to exit this seemingly impossible fight, she had to find an opening and get her and her partner out of harm's way, but even as a mega, that proved to be a difficult task.
And to make things even more difficult, now the entire island had been literally converted into a whirlwind of pointy rocks. This was bad; really really bad, but at least it'd give them an opening to get out of this place. Quickly focusing on Penny and herself, she made two hand gestures and produced two bursts of energy, enveloping herself and her partner. Fully knowing that she would kill her momentum at a moments noticed, she dived to the ground's direction in an attempt to escape the attack without suffering too much damage. Hopefully Mana would be alright...
The girl in question was faring not that badly, to be honest. They had got the unknown boy out of the cage on a rather rough fashion, but the time to apologize was another. She attentively heard what his digimon was talking about until... the very ground began to desintegrate. She yelped with surprise, but quickly tugged at Penny, because if the ground was undoing itself, the boy would probably be in trouble.
Recovering her focus, the Hisyarumon caught the boy with a swift movement before he could accelerate into what would probably be his demise. However, they weren't out of harm's way by any means. The tornado was forming around them, and if Penny didn't do anything soon, they'd probably end like a portion of gruyère cheese.
"Hold fast! This is going to be rough!" she called urgently as her serpentine body coiled around the two humans, surrounding it as a sort of shield. She felt Ayaka's incantation filling her body, but she couldn't take chances. Her armor began to emanate a black glow as it enveloped her body making it still and hard as she slowly descended out of harm's way. She could only hope that her armor would resist the onslaught that she was currently suffering or... things wouldn't be good.
Mana, on her stead, would make sure that the boy's grip on the dragon's body was tight, just in case he wouldn't be able to think or react properly due to the shock.

Ayaka is using Omamori: Yama no Un on herself and Penny boosted with both its bonuses: Raises the target's awareness, defense and reflexes until it suffers an attack. Tranquility [1]: The buff lasts 2 attacks and it's potency is increased even further. Both its duration and effect stack. Refuge [2]: affects an additional target
Penny is using Kyuukyoku no Bouei Kai: Penny's armor shimmers with a radiant black glow, protecting all her body. For the duration of the post in which this technique it's used, she becomes immobile and unable to act, but also becomes almost impervious to most forms of damage (done by digimon of her level, otherwise it only provides a moderate amount of protection), being pushed by external forces and status effects. 3-post cooldown.
Eien no Haru remaining duration: 5 posts.

Dorugoramon growled loudly when he saw that Zephyrus actually ignored him, but he wouldn't have enough time to worry about that, since the problems had only begun. The goat-like creature just slammed the ground, releasing power into it, and it would soon start cracking into pieces. The Kazan beheld the sight with horror as the soil beneath his feet steadily disintegrated. Taking a look at his surroundings, he realized something that Patch had told him back at the Spartan Training Grounds: Patch couldn't fly in that form.
-Dorugoramon! You've gotta help Avery, now! -he yelled as the tornado began forming around them. With a simple nod, the Mega would quickly fly towards the Italian Tamer, attempting to grab her and put her to safety along with her partner in one of his giant hands. -Gotcha! Now, we need to get out of here... Still, he hadn't forgotten about his Tamer, of course. As Tatsuya began falling, he moved his arms and legs in surprise, before turning down in an attempt to lower his speed by offering the most resistance to the air he could. The silver dragon roared, forcing his wings to the limits and extending its free arm, effectively catching the eighteen year old male.
Now in the safe haven provided by his partner, the male sighed, looking at him with a half-grin. -I was enjoying a little parachuting... without the parachute. Thanks, pal... Ave, are you okay?! -he questioned, worried about the girl. However, a whirling sound caught the duo's attention... a furious tornado, originated from Zephyrus's power and the remainings of the islands combined was raging in front of them. There was no way they could escape it, unless they did something.
Dorugoramon made a 'tch'-like sound, which was more like a gutural grunt in his Mega form. Looking at Mana and Ayaka making their eescape in another dragon, he thought that he could put them to good use. -Hey, Ayaka... CATCH! -he yelled, throwing the two humans and the Digimon towards them. He'd have to trust the girl to take care of both of them, since the attack he was about to use was potentially dangerous to all allies as well.
-Dorumon! What the hell are you doing?! -Tatsuya asked, crossing the air as he attempted to grab the Cipriano so they wouldn't get separated and were easier to catch. -Everyone, get out of here as fast as possible! I'm going to destroy that thing! -the dragon said, plunging into the tornado again. He felt the wind tossing him aside, but his Chrome Digizoid body allowed him to stay in control of his trajectory, albeit the rocks were colliding and dealing damage. As the dragon managed to reach near Zephyrus, a silver aura covered his entire body as it roared.
-METAL BUUUURST!!!! -the X-Antibody carrier roared, releasing an explosion that quickly expanded in all directions, coming from his body. The area that would be covered would be a mile bigger than the island's previous size, and the attack was bound to stop the tornado, and hopefully, the goat-man Digimon as well. Or was it...? The only thing the dragon knew was that he'd just bet everything on that move.
-DORUMON! -Tatsuya called out, very worried about his partner.
OOC:
Metal Burst: this is Dorugoramon's strongest attack. He will first concentrate his energy on himself, adotping a charging gesture (typical DBZ). After charging, Dorugoramon may keep the stored energy and release it when he pleases. Upon doing so, he will create a massive, spherical blast that emanates from himself and grows, up to having a radius of 3 miles, to which the attack will begin fading. This leaves Dorugoramon exhausted, not able to attack the following turn. 6 posts cooldown.
It had already been charged before.

It seemed nomatter what they did, the goat digimon always was able to counter their moves. It was frustrating to say the least, but Chrinmon would not stop now, he needed to help finish this so he could find Cosmodramon and get put out of that ruined land as soon as possible.
It wouldn't easy, however. The enemie's ability to control the land was increasing by the looks of it. Firstly, the stone cage shot up, and Chrinmon dodged them, as well as he could. Some of them passed extremly close, one only missing by a couple inches. Most of the allies seemed to involved in an escaped mission, either trying to run away mounted on digimon or simply leaving, as the super-mega did. One would say it was hopeless, that giving up was the best they could do. Chrinmon looked up to the sky, remembering the visions the stars gave him. I He couldn't fall to despair. Hr needed faith.
The Aegischosmon's next move truly shocked him: he cracked the ground, a maelstrom of rocks swirling around violently. Upon this, Chrinmon finnaly spotted Cosmodramon, trapped in one of those cages of the land-breaker.Chrinmon quickly flied up, dodging rocks as he could.
"Celestial Horn;" He shouted, charging on the cage to break it. Successful, Chrinmon approached Cosmodramon. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah, I...Look out!" She screamed pointing behind Chrinmon. The flying digimon turned, too late to move away from the boulder that hit him, knocking him out.

The world was spinning, his world was spinning. The pace of the rocks rotation provided a nice edge of Zephyrus, the fact that large chunks of rock where able to be used both offensively and defensibly was quite good for him. He increased the pace of the rocks, spinning them faster to form a decent wall/shredder. Now all he would have to do is move it around a little, bash up his foes a little bit.
Then things began to get a little bit more rocky, attacks peppering the wall of rocks, and one particularly suicidal digimon flying right at the tornado. The rocks spun, some adjusting their trajectory to intercept the digimon. Chances where it would be near impossible for him to actually break through the tornado, and better yet, he’d probably he sent flying helplessly through the air. Hehe.
And then there was the battery from the Dorugoramon, an attack shattering several large chunks of the rock. Zephyrus turns his terrain, assembling the rocks to buffet the blast, rocks shredding and rejoining the back of the barrier. The Aegiochusmon turned to face the digimon, the rocks flying to the sides, taking in the majority of the blast, taking a knee on his platform.
”T-t-take this!” He roared, firing the entire of his rocks in on the location of the Dorugoramon.

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. The next thing she knew, Patch was soaring above her and landing in front of her. He quickly grabbed her by his mouth and swung her up onto his back. She let out a "umph" sound as she landed on the slick Digizoid, but clung on for dear life as Patch began his dance again around the pillars, barely missing a few.
Patch made his way to the edge of the floating island, panting slightly, but a growl rippled through him as rocks began to break away and spin around them.
His cannon's on his back cocked and he fired around, making sure a few of the rocks didn't come close, yet he wasn't fast enough. AJ winced as a few of the flying shards bit into her skin.
-Dorugoramon! You've gotta help Avery, now! -
The Italian teen opened one eye and glanced up to see Dorugoramon making his way towards them. She blinked as both her and Patch were picked up like a ragdoll by the Mega-level. She peered over the giant dinosaur's hands to see Tatsuya falling. She gasped, but Dorugoramon was able to grab his tamer just in time.
When the older teen asked if she was okay, she nodded, but was visibly shaken by her harsh breathing and shuddering.
She blinked when she caught the tail end of the Mega's shout, saying something about catching....
Wind whipped around her small body as she let out a loud yell. Tatsuya's voice brushed by her ears, but the wind carried it away. She was vaguely aware of a warmth in her hand. "Patch!" she screamed as they were tossed through the air.
Of course, if Ayaka didn't catch them, Patch could easily land with his cat-like reflexes and he could also grab Tatsuya and AJ, but what would happen?

"Gah!"
Jeez, just what did Iko have to do to get a break around here? Feeling his attack snap against the cage one last time, the champion-level Digimon finally took a step back to catch his breath. And wow, did he use a lot of energy: drawing deep breaths, he leaned back against the other end of the cage, analyzing the damage before shaking his head. He looked down for a moment, to see the girl's apparent partner shielding the other two from the tempest.
Okay then... he's safe... let's figure out what to do over here.
Calming himself somewhat, the wolf Digimon stepped forward again, taking the battered bars of the cage in his hand. They were still firm, and didn't seem to have a lot of give to them. Besides, it wasn't like he could simply leap out a mile over the stone-storm, right? No, he had to think this through carefully: charging up a blade from his wrist one more time, instead of wildly slashing below, Iko took the formed blade, and held it against the upper joint of one of the bars. If he focused there, he could weaken it enough so he could kick it out at will, and-
Hm?
Oh, the hell with this! In an instant, the area below them was filled with an explosion from DexDorumon's attack... seriously? Friendly fire? And with its range:
"... Heh."
Downright livid at this point, Iko simply braced himself against the floor of the cage. It was the only way to deal with the force: quickly, bars were torn from his prison, the platform itself crumbling, Iko's fur singing in the wake of the attack...
Hold... hold!
"Gah!"
Too much was happening at once for Luke to comprehend! The moment his footing disappeared, he found himself in the coils of this unfamiliar allied Digimon. He didn't have much of a choice in movement, and as directed, simply brought his arms around the dragon as best he could, preparing to brace himself from whatever was happening around them. Not that Luke had much of a clue of what it was, but...
"Tch... I'm tired of being useless right now! Gritting his teeth, good hand digging a bit into the ultimate's scales, Luke's digivice began to glow a fierce white at his hip... Huh?!
That... that would work! Feeling a new power well up around him, Iko gave a grin, briefly bringing a hand to his forehead. With a quick 'pulse', the crescent moon faded, and was replaced with a half-moon, the green 'lines' originating from his wrist growing out from his elbow, up to his shoulder. A moment later, his legs, arms, and torso were covered in an armor of Digital gold, a similar helmet and visor covering his head.
It wasn't as dramatic of an evolution as the others, but Iko immediately felt better control of every bit of shadow around him. Kicking away from the platform, darkness hidden in the debris formed behind him, into wings made out of the same darkness energy as his blades. Furling them open, he coasted the outer range of the explosion, now even further above from the battle as before.
Fine by him: Iko had to figure just how this new body worked, anyway!

Ayaka was rendered speechless at Dorugoramon's actions. He had just thrown two humans to their impeding demises and was just trusting them to be caught by her? That was definitely something... interesting to behold, to say the least. Killing her momentum instantly, she launched herself to where the two humans were, neatly catching them in between her arms. It was something really irresponsible to do, but then she quickly remembered who had done it... so she wasn't really surprised. However, now said metallic dragon digimon was in trouble, clearly evidenced by the new attack that the goat guy was throwing at him. Setting the two humans to the ground, she disposed herself to help the surely-to-be injured dragon before it'd sustain too much damage. Setting the two humans on the ground, she concentrated on Dorugoramon, joined her palms, and let the energy flow from her to him. He'dbe able to navigate through the attack more easily, and hopefully that way he'd evade the brunt of it.
Back with Mana and Penny, it seemed that her defense was good enough to mitigate most of the damage received. As the gigantic blast advanced towards them, the dragon began to fly further away from the fray and into the ground. Having escaped most of the explosion's destructivity, she was now floating nearby the groud, at a really far distance from the fight.
Mana had noted the intense glow that had emanated from the boy's digivice, and could only hope that his partner would be alright. This fight was more intense than anything she had presenced in her life.
OOC: T: 9 R: 8 Ayaka is using Omamori: Umi on Un on Dorugoramon: Raises the target's speed, power and precision until the end of its next turn.

Looks like everything didn't go well. First, Nadeshiko was sucked into the vortex, along with Ryoko and Yuuki, and they spun in the fierce tornado! Though, she held to the tight, to make sure no one got separated. Not to mention there were shards of rock, and Ryusei had to catch them, fast! "Kyaaaaaaaa~h!" Nadeshiko screamed in fear as she, Ryoko, and Yuuki were dragged along into the tornado.
"Hang on gaiz! I'mm take ya- gah!" Ryusei was about to dash at them to take those poor guys, but the force of tornado was so strong, and the rocks intercepted him from reaching the trio. Instead, the tornado blew Ryusei and the trio of poor victims away, through the air. Nadeshiko was still holding Ryoko and Yuuki tight while they were sent flying by the weird tornado, although she managed to regain her balance after sent several meters away from the tornado midair.
As for Ryusei, he was still struggling on it! Oh, maybe he could fight air with air. If he couldn't blow it up, maybe he could interfere it with the same air current. So, he changed the module on his left leg back to Aero Jet. After sucking in air from the twister, he then blew the tornado, attempting to blow away the rocks, so he could get out of it. If it fails, he would let the tornado blew him away.

OOC: Many apologises for the lateness of this, coursework/Christmas hit hard. This’ll be the last Zephy post of the thread. If you have any feedbacks on how things are progressing I’d quite like to hear them, since I’ve never ran a plot before.
I’m also missing some key posts, so I’m going to improvise a little bit on what happened.
The rocks chunked at the intended location, pelting his foe, but suspiciously ineffective. His eyes narrowed, brown tensed, and the digimon was clearly slightly infuriated at the whole thing. Too many distractions for him to actually concentrate on what he wanted done. He’d deal with these fools later, his actual agenda was far too important for him.
Rocks began to reclump, building a sort of cocoon around him. He’s just get out of here, regroup himself, and then exercise his plans out again. All it was going to take him was a little bit of time. And he wasn’t going to get that here, with all these distractions so intent on breaking his precious little toys.
The final stone nested it’s way into the cocoon, and with a blink the entire thing vanished. The plains where damaged beyond belief, a large craterous mound being left where Zephyrous had sheared the ground up.

To their surprise, the tornado died, and Ryusei wasn't flung away, like he should be. Wow, the fight ended this fast? It would be boring, really. But still, what was that kind of power? To manipulate this whole land... he wasn't an ordinary Aegiochusmon after all.
But at least, everyone were safe. Ryoko and Yuuki were secured in Nadeshiko's arms, while Ryusei was confused as his attack seemed... not affect the rocks, but it retracted by itself. Oh, that goatman was reforming the rocks, before they enveloped him in rock cocoon of some sort. Wait, he just bailed out?
At least it was relief, but the damage he made was massive. Just look at the ground. It was a HUGE crater, with the grounds missing. It was Zephyrus' work, obviously, but how could they reform again? Maybe they could find a way to restore Network Plains into how it was. Damn. All the hard work and everything was blown into smithereens.
"Did he juz ran away?!" Ryusei gawked, not noticing the signs of Zephyrus anymore. Both Ryusei and Nadeshiko then landed to the ground, while the latter dropped Ryoko and Yuuki. Man, looks like they were having great headache this time. Ryoko sighed in relief, while she was hoping that she could have accessed the final Astro Module, they would have gained upper hand.
