OOC: in more elaboration, no battle unless I said yes.
Another day, another life---eh, I mean, another day at school. Currently it's the lunch break, and like most of the boys generally, Kenji gone to the cafeteria for his lunch break. His sister actually already packed a bento for him, but for some reason, the youngest of the Itou siblings just preferred to eat in the cafeteria... of course good ol' yakisoba bread and whatnots are really delicious! For today, he's again alone... but that's because he has sneaked out the class first right when the class ended. The cafeteria's yakisoba bread is very popular, so it ran out really quick.
...Right when he entered the cafeteria, it's already looking like scenery of hell, despite it's just a small queue on the place where they usually can buy the yakisoba. He's here early, so he's sure he can buy several... still, something caught his attention.
Special today: Yakisoba for 100 yen.
...Generally it's 150. Like a hungry wolf, the brown haired boy tossed himself to that hell and planning to buy 5.

Off in some other corner of the cafeteria sat a 16 year old, dark skinned girl. She was alone, and seemed to have spaced out a bit.
First off, she was never quite used to these uniforms. Most of the things she heard about these were just... fetishy and... icky and... super icky. Plus she wasn't fond of skirts. She really hoped no one looked at her weird. Well, not in that way. She gotten enough looks in the past for being that dark skinned American (which seemed to stand out more despite having her roots in Britain) with an eye covered and daydreamed a lot.
She also kinda preferred to be alone, if only so she could daydream a bit. It's been a while since she became a spirit user, but she was not one just drop everything just for adventure. Especially her family. Yes, she still remembered her first chance to go to the digiworld and turning it down.
But, really, she was just dwelling on today's events, and hoping her older sister was doing fine. Her lunch, which was packed, was simply a rice and veggie dish. Nothing too special, but she was used to it, and it satisfied her.

Five breads are secured... with this he have enough for two days! Kenji happily walked to the nearest vending machine and bought a can of apple juice. The boy was about to sit somewhere secluded, happily nomming his bread (well, if his friends saw what he bought, most likely they'll try to get some for themselves (as in, thieving it from him)), the boy saw his D-3 suddenly sets off the moment he passed a girl's table. Garp, just... perfect.
"Uh, oh... urk... sorry, uh... Sorry!" the brown haired boy apologized, not sure how to word it... well, she looks like a foreigner, so noticing his blunder, he quickly switched to English. "U-uh, I don't know what set it off, really! But... errr, I'll get out of your hair very soon, so sorry!"
Kenji fiddled with his D-3 for a moment and found a function that temporarily disables 'other Digivice nearby' alert, so to say. Still, luckily it was rather short time, so he's not causing any major scene... but he wondered if the girl or someone nearby is a Tamer? He's not sure, but there was quite a number of tamers here...
"Uh, hope I didn't bother you, Miss. Sorry about just now."
And the boy sat somewhere nearby, but secluded enough to be eating alone.

(((...super sorry, I completely forgot about this thread...)))
Callie was keeping relatively to herself when this boy passed. And when he did, she heard a beeping from something he had. He got all flustered and embarrassed over it. Apologizing, she shook her head. "No, it's fine..." she said in a kind of low tone.
He sat nearby, and Callie wondered what was the deal with that guy. Oh well, it was nothing worth worrying over, that was her older sister's job. Probably just a phone or something.
She got back to her food, going back to thoughts of today's events and random daydreaming. While she had her digivice in a bag at her feet, it was not set to alert others.
A quick glance revealed that boy was still nearby, also sitting relatively alone. Perhaps she would go over there and talk with him... but not today. Her head was too in the clouds at the moment and, well, she was not often one to approach people. She felt like the mere act would get her too many glances. Perhaps she was getting paranoid...
Wow, her sister was starting to rub off on her after all...

Souji looks up, at the slight commotion, from where he is purchasing food. There iss a quiet beep from his satchel, which paints a smirk with his lips.
Seems like he can't go anyway, this week, without tripping over Digivice users. In this case, ones he's already encountered before. He collects his modest lunch, and glances around, before heading over towards Kenji, since they didn't really have much of a chance to talk, last time they met.
...Plus, Souji had been an ass. As usual.
"Kenji-Kun. I didn't realise you attended school here," he doesn't sit, just...looms a little. As best as a skinny fifteen year old can, at least, "it's nice to see you again,"
Another pair of quiet beeps from his bag. He's really going to have to see if there's a 'silent' switch.

"...Souji," was only the greeting the boy gave to his senior. "...Sorry, that was supposed to be Ikeda-sempai, doesn't it?" To be fully honest, the boy isn't too fond on the other boy's assy attitude... but to think it again, he's also acting assy toward him... so they're even in that kind of case, isn't it? The boy opened the Yakisoba plastic and nommed the content. It's a rather uneventful one.
"...So you also attend the school here, I see..."
It was rather awkward. While it's not distrusting or anything, Kenji is on edge of 'I'm not sure if I'll be fond of this strangers' last time they met. Deciding to make a small talk, the boy took a sip of his apple juice before addressing his senior.
"So you bought them with you? I don't know if it's wise, but... well, I guess it's better than leaving them in house... How are you doing, though?"

Enough worry, Callie had to get back to lunch. She was getting through her rice, with another glance over to that other boy revealed that he was talking with someone else who came over.
Callie would not know who were involved with digimon. She knew there were kids here with digimon, but she never sought them out. As much as she would like to meet one, she was too preoccupied. Studying, homework, being with her family, training... she remembered a while back meeting someone her older sister knew, Terra Berkan, who said she had to drop out of high school. She said she had her reasons and that she needed to do that, but she didn't give details.
She finished her food and, seeing as she had no one to talk to here at the moment, (she had friends, just not many really good friends) she decided to leave, heading past the two with her tray and bag to throw away a few things before wondering what else she could do. Maybe give her parents a call?

Souji shrugs. He's never been particularly big on formality directed towards him, "Souji is fine, don't worry about it,"
And with that, he sits down plucking out his Digivice and making sure it's set to silent, before setting it next to his lunch. Not the most subtle, however he's completely unaware of how many Tamers there are at this school. Or spirit-users, another group he recently learned are...a thing.
"Yeah. Sorry, I guess I hadn't noticed you attended the same school as me," he seems a little...less rude than the other day, at least. Almost friendly, in fact!
Souji offers a rare smile.
"They're still small enough that they can fit in my satchel. If they get any bigger, then I'll have to leave them at home, yes. Or...hm. I guess just keeping them in the house could be a problem, if they get as big as some of the others I've seen,"
He falls silent in thought. Dorumon and Commandramon were both fairly large, at least the size of a human child, if not larger. Not exactly easy to hide, compared to the MetalKoromon, who could literally fit inside of his pockets...

"Is that so?" he asked rather disinterestedly. However, just like Souji, he's trying to maintain some semblance of friendliness. Being too assy is not good afterall... While he doesn't see Souji as a (potential) friend (at least for now), he's still inclined on acting more polite to him. "Well, putting them on somewhere that couldn't be easily seen is good enough..."
Speaking of which, his are so totally on his bag back in the class...
"...I heard leaving them is unwise, though. My brother still not willing to talk to me, but a friend of mine... she said that if you're a tamer or a chosen, being attacked out of blue is something you should anticipate. Digimons are magnet to another, she said. However, whether that's a baseless rumor or not, I have no idea---"
Their conversation cut short again when his Digivice beeped again when the previous girl passed them. What the heck with it? But just like yesterday, it's seem to tell him about the sign of new tamers. However... the thing is... it doesn't react to his friends'? Karin, Ryouta, his doesn't react around them... Maybe, this is some threads?
"Um, 'xcuse me, Miss!" he called the girl from before. "Err... May I have a word with you?"

Callie was about to go off and into her own business when that boy from a little while ago called out to her. He seemed to want to talk to her and she was hoping it wasn't a date. Not that anyone asked her out much. There was that one time but she turned him down rather quickly.
However, she did take note of the beeping before she was called over, assuming it was a phone again. But it was not, it seemed, seeing Kenji's digivice on the table, in plain view. And the puzzle pieces fell into place. Apparently these two guys also had experience with digimon. Well she was assuming.
She laughed nervously a bit, scratching her head. "Ah, I get it... your digivices are reacting to mine, right? I guess I really need to talk to more people... anyway, I'm Callie. I'm a spirit user."
Despite her nervous tone she was quite open. She wanted to not make a bad first impression for these two guys.

"Hm. Not only someone else involved with Digimon, but a Spirit User? You're the second I've met, recently, although hopefully much more pleasant than the first," he offers a smile.
Souji isn't dense. He could feel the forced civility from Kenji. Still, they were both connected to Digimon in some way, and Souji didn't really have many people he hung around with anyway. It had made sense to try and extend a hand of...well, not friendship. Not yet. Hand of Acquaintances. Yeah.
He picks up his own Digivice, and stuffs it into his pocket.
"Are there a lot of kids here connected to Digimon in some way?" he asks quietly, looking around.
It'd make sense. So far everyone he's met has been roughly his age, or a few years older. Maybe they're more easily drawn towards kids?

"A spirit user?" Kenji parroted, not sure what is this spirit user business is. However, it's apparent that he's alone in this, because Souji already knows what it is. Kenji sighed, scratching his head. However, it's seem that while she's not a tamer, maybe she could explain more about Digimons to him.
"I see, so you're not a Tamer... or that how it was called? I'm just sort of lost beginner... it's almost seem that my egg refused to hatch, so I'm asking peoples if they know about it... but that's fine. Well, then, uh... would you prefer to talk somewhere better?" he just hoped that doesn't sound like invitation for a date, because he certainly not in need and never in need for another girlfriend.
"Ah, I mean, I don't know, but it's supposed to be secret? This whole Digimon stuffs, I mean..." he whispered.

Well, so far so good. These boys did know about digimon. And one was, by his own admission, fairly new to this. However she seemed to be the only spirit user of the three, which is fine. From their responses it seemed that spirit users were rarer than tamers.
She turned to Souji to answer his question. "I don't know how many others here have involvement with digimon. I've had my spirit for a while and you're the first tamers I ran into. But I... don't really socalize much, so I guess by chance it wasn't until now that I actually ran into one."
She shrugged, giving a nervous chuckle. Kenji then asked about help for his eggs, although she might admit to initially seeing it as asking her out. But he clarified himself pretty quickly.
"Sorry... I don't know much about how tamers work... the only other person I really knew with involvement with digimon was a Xros user.
And, uh... I'm meeting with my older sister later... so I couldn't come later."

"You might be coming on a little strong, asking someone to meet you in private, right after meeting them, Kenji-Kun," he points out.
He considers the girl. These spirit users certainly seem to have an advantage in the fact that they're able to defend themselves against creatures that could obliterate a normal human with a glance. ...So what's the downside? There has to be something to balance out Tamers and Spirit users, after all.
"...A what? Xros? Oh. Sorry, I'm being rude. Souji Ikeda," he introduces himself with a nod.
There's beeping from his satchel as the MetalKoromon try to introduce themselves, but Souji just nudges the bag. If he ever gets thrown out of school, he'd rather it wasn't for 'sneaking artificial lifeforms onto the premises during school hours'.

Post by Yuzuki Koizumi on Dec 19, 2014 19:06:26 GMT
The lunch break seemed to be never ending. Yuzuki only just barely managed to crawl herself out of bed today, having been awake for most of the prior night in a hopeless attempt at preparing for the winter testing (IE: Coming up with new ways to do her nails, taking thousands of pictures for no reason at all, y'know, studying). As she practically slogged her way through her rice dish, she found herself nodding off every few seconds.
Managing to keep her head up for longer than a second, Yuzu caught sound of a conversation occurring a table or so away from her. Figuring listening to a couple of younger students chat about sweet nothings was better than passing out face first into a bowl of rice, she tuned her ears into the conversation the best she could.
What she heard though, was actually rather strange. The words Digimon, spirit, and tamers were really what caught her. What in the world were they? Probably some sort of new children's TV show that these three in the higher years couldn't quite let go. Yeah, that was probably it. Though they were talking about it as if it was as real as the cellphone in her pocket. Hm, well, if this was the only way to pass the time she guessed she could keep listening.
Pulling out her cell, she opened up her twitter page, pretending to be doing anything that wasn't listening in on a private conversation. With a perfected usage of teenager side eye (Usually exclusively saved for her dad), Yuzu took a look at who the kids were. The two boys she didn't really recognize at all, she figured her assumption that they were younger students was correct. Though the girl she thought she recognized. Yuzu was pretty sure that she was in the same year as her, what'd she go by in class? Callie was it?
Returning her eyes to her phone, Yuzu waited for the conversation to continue, interest in the other student's strange chat keeping her from falling asleep.
