Nova sat at a creek holding a makeshift fishing pole. "Are you sure you can catch anything with that?" Sparks questioned. "No, but if I do, then it'll be worth the experiment," Nova answered. "Got any 3's?" Angie asked. "Go fish," Hope replied. The aforementioned Kyupimons were playing cards with their brothers, Pit and Icarus. Lucy on the other hand was flying overhead, scouting the area for danger, like the Metal Kabuterimon Nova and Sparks fought not too long ago, or the Metal Tyrannomon they fought yesterday. Their supplies were some what lacking, so if Nova could catch a fish, it would increase their survival rate.
...Actually, Nova could load the Kyupimons into the Fusion Loader and have Sparks carry him while running at high speeds, or even combine all six Digimon and fly to make travelling easier. That still wouldn't change the lack of funds after buying dinner for three tamers and their Digimon as well as two mercs. Nova would have to find work again if he hoped to feed six mouths instead of just one. Nova sighed. Sure it was good to have a few extra hands, but he didn't want five more Digimon at once. Another one would be fine provided he/she/it had some supplies of his/her/its own. "Why must everything get so complicated all the time," he muttered.

Jimmy looked around the forest as he and his Falcomon companion Shin walked through the forest. They've been travelling through the forest for a few days now, and Jimmy was starting to grow worry. Their rations were starting to run low and there was still no sign of their destination. It wouldn't be long before they end up in real trouble.
"Shin? Are you sure we're not lost?" The teen asked with signs of worry in his voice.
"For the last time, I'm sure we're not lost." Shin answered, obviously annoyed by the lack of trust.
"Okay. It's just that we packed for what was expected to be a five day journey, and it's now been over a week."
"Don't worry. We're heading in the right direction. The journey is just taking us longer then I originally suspected." The Falcomon explained.
"Okay." Jimmy sighed. Just then his stomach began to groan as it begged to be fed. "Hey Shin. Do you mind if we stop somewhere to eat?"
"And you wonder why we haven't reached the village yet?" Shin pointed out with a condescending tone.
"Hey! It's not my fault. It's hard to fill a stomach with just nuts and berries." Jimmy countered.
"Fine. There should be a lake up ahead. We can stop there and take a quick food break. Maybe even catch us some fish while we are at it."
"...fish..." Jimmy looked downtrodden at the prospect. He wasn't exactly the biggest fan of fish.

"I'm sensing a Digimon coming this way. I think he's with a Tamer," Sparks stated. "The drinker and the ugly teddy?" Nova asked, earning a snicker from Sparks. "Nah, it's someone else," Sparks answered. Sparks signalled Lucy by forming a rod of condensed electricity and pointing it in the direction they were coming from. Seeing the signal, Lucy flew off in that direction.Nova frowned. "I just realized I have nothing to clean the fish with if I catch one," he stated. "Well maybe the Tamer and his Digimon will take care of it," Sparks suggested.
After a few moments, Lucy returned and landed next to Nova. Nova handed his fishing rod to Sparkmon before pulling his laptop out of his bag and booting it up. Taking the SD card from Lucy's glasses and putting in his laptop, Nova pulled up some footage of a boy and a Digimon walking through the woods. "Sparks, you recognize the Digimon?" Nova asked. "It's a Falcomon, a Rookie level. Think they're friendlies?" Sparks replied. "As long as they don't cause us any trouble, I don't care," Nova stated as he closed his laptop and gave Lucy back her SD card. He took his fishing rod back from Sparks.
"Fair enough. I suppose we've had more than our fair share of trouble," Sparks agreed.

Jimmy was trying to do all he could to figure out a way to not have to eat fish today. Then the thought occured to him. Maybe if I can find us a fruit tree. We don't need to try to fish. His eyes then glanced upward, hopeful that he would find something. Yet all the trees he could see proved barren.
Then, out of nowhere, Jimmy noticed what looked like a line of lightning in the far distance. "Shin did you see that?" He asked his companion. Judging from the fact that there was hardly a cloud in the sky, and the odd angle the lightning seemed to have appeared, he guessed it was probably an attack of some kind.
"See what?" Shin responded, slightly annoyed.
"I could of sworn I saw an electrical attack up ahead."
"Is that so?" They both just paused their for a second as they looked into the distance, "There doesn't seem to be a fight going on."
"So what do you think it was for then?"
"Probably just a 'mon trying to show off. We should be wary though. If what you say is true, and it did came from ahead of us, then that means the one who caused the attack is at the lake. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's a popular resting spot for travelers." Shin explained.
Jimmy nodded before he glanced upward again. He wanted to see if he could catch sight of another electrical attack. This time however he only caught a glimpse of... something flying off quickly towards the lake in the corner of his eye.
"Seems they know we're here. So long to the element of surprise. Let's just hope that whoever is their is friendly." Shin stated, apparently seeing more then the teen had.
"Yeah." With that, they continued moving.
The pair eventually made it to the lake a few minutes later, and sure enough, it seemed there was a small traveling party already there. Jimmy kept a hand in his pocket where he kept his D-tector as he called out, "Excuse me. Are you friendly?" to the group.
The Falcomon rolled his eyes at Jimmy's plan. "If they weren't friendly, why would they tell us?" Shin criticized, trying to resist the urge to facepalm in the process.

"If we weren't, wouldn't I at least have a Champion level waiting for you? Because otherwise I'm awfully under prepared to be an enemy considering I don't even know how strong you really are," Nova criticized without turning around. "Ignore him. He's just grumpy because he didn't sleep well last night," Sparks stated. "To be fair, there are some pretty small Champions," Lucy pointed out. "Name one," Nova told her. Then he remembered J.J.. "Name three," he caught himself. J.J.'s Champion form was the same size as his Rookie Form, with the only difference being that the former had a cape, which was even smaller than Sparks.
"However, since you actually bothered to ask, my answer is yes, as you probably guessed by now. Unless you give me a reason to believe otherwise of course," Nova answered. Sparks got up and stretched. "While you're fishing, I think I'll got scout the area. We wouldn't another metal menace showing up and attacking us, now would we?" he questioned. He was just about to jog pass Nova when the General grabbed him by the tail. "Hold it, knucklehead. I can't let you get in over your head when you might get into trouble," Nova stated. "If you were able to Digivolve on your own, that would be a different story."

((I'm sorry for the constantly delayed responses. I'm having some technical difficulties -_- Why does it feel like rl is trying to do everything it can to stop me from posting on this site?))
Jimmy shrugged at Nova's critique. From past experiences, he's been attacked by a group of rookies before. It didn't seem to matter all that much if they were powerful or not. If they are desperate, or mean-spirited enough, they'll attack people no matter what. Especially when it's just a single human and rookie digimon they're going up against.
Then Sparks mentioned something that struck Jimmy as interesting. "Metal menace?" He asked as he looked over at the group. If there is a digimon going around attacking people, he would like to know. As Shin always told him, if they are to survive travelling this world, then they best be prepared to learn about any local threats they can.

"Yeah, we can't seem to go anywhere without a machine or cyborg type Digimon attacking us. Fortunately every time after the first time we've had some back up coming to our rescue even if they're complete strangers," Nova explained. "Yeah, when Nova here first came to the Digital World he was attacked by a Hagurumon, which Digivolve into a Guardromon, and a Solarmon. A couple days later, it was a Metal Kabuterimon, then after a while a War Growlmon, and then yesterday's Metal Tyrannomon, which Digivolved to Rust Tyrannomon," Sparks agreed. "Which is why I need to go ahead and scout the area," he told Nova.
"Sparks, if I let you go and you get yourself deleted, you'll never recover your lost memories especially if you get absorbed by another Digimon. If that happens, I would be breaking my promise to help you," Nova pointed out. "Fine, but what else am I supposed to do?" Sparks asked. "You could ask my siblings to deal you into their card game," Lucy suggested. "Not quite what I meant," Sparks stated. "While it's true you make a better scout for me than Lucy, you're supposed to wait here and have Lucy here scout whatever you manage to detect," Nova stated. Sparks gave an impatient sigh and returned to his previous position next to Nova.

Jimmy crossed his arms as he thought about what Nova and Spark had explained to him. So they were seemingly being constantly attacked by machine type digimon. Well at least that didn't necessarily mean they was a machine type digimon haunting the woods.
While Jimmy was thinking about this, he felt Shin nudge his slightly on the side. The teen looked over at his Falcomon companion to see him nudging over to the others. Huh? Oh... That's right. I can't believe I forgot. Jimmy thought as he suddenly remembered that he for got to do something important.
"Oh... Well seeing how we're all friendly here. I'm Jimmy and my friend here is Shin. It's nice to meet you two." Jimmy said as he extended his hand towards the group with a nervous laugh. It's a little embarrassing asking others about their problems without even introducing himself first.
Shin meanwhile was thinking about what the group had said. "Hey Jimmy. Why don't you scout the place out for everyone? I'll try to see if I can't catuch us some grub in the mean time." Shin suggested.
"Uhh... Sure... I guess." Jimmy wasn't exactly to sure about scouting out the area by himself, but he did seem to be the most capable of defending himself out of all of them. At least judging from what everyone was saying.

"So you're the Spirit Wielder Ryoko, AJ, and Mana told us about yesterday," Nova guessed as he shook Jimmy's hand. "Talk about a small world, huh?" Sparks agreed. "As you know, my name's Nova. The walking battery here is Sparkmon and the Kyupimon is Lucy. The other Kyupimons playing cards are Angie, Pit, Hope, and Icarus," Nova told them. Shin seemed like he was going to fish too while Jimmy scouted the area. Well maybe with two people fishing they would finally manage to catch something. "Well if Jimmy's going, then so am I. At least this way I won't be alone," Sparks stated as he stood up. "Fine, but keep in touch," Nova stated. Sparks nodded.
The vents in his glove opened up, allowing a tendril of condensed electricity to escape each glove. He aimed the tendrils at a nearby tree branch and wrapped them around it. They then snaked their way back into his gloves, effectively pulling him up to the branch. By doing a flip, he positioned himself atop the branch. His current position would help him stay hidden from any would be aggressors. "I'll be following you from up here in the trees," Sparks told Jimmy. Lucy then walked over to her siblings and sat down. "Deal me in."

So Ryoko, AJ, and Mana had mentioned him before. Huh? He didn't knew he had that much of an impact on any of them. Though he guessed being a Spirit Wielder among Tamers did make him pretty unusual. He himself hasn't met many others that were Spirit Wielders, and the few that he did usually ran off soon after meeting them. Well... Except for one.
Jimmy then watched as the digimon pulled himself up onto the trees as if his electricity was a hookshot of some kind. It was a pretty amazing ability. Makes the teen wish he had something like that. It'd be pretty awesome to be able to hookshot around like that as if he was Link.
"Alright then." With that, he went into the forest with Sparks. While he had originally planned on flying around as Bucchiemon, he figured that it would be pretty difficult to see anything though the treetops. And with Sparks scouting from the treetops, it seemed pretty unneeded.
Shin sighed as he saw Jimmy walk off without Spirit evolving. "Don't get yourself killed out there." He shouted out to the human.
"Don't worry. I won't." Jimmy responded as he gave one final wave to Shin before disappearing into the woods.
"I really hope not." With that, Shin began searching for the materials to make a rudimentary fishing rod.

"I'll admit, I kind of envy Jimmy for being a Spirit Wielder," Nova told Shin after Jimmy was out of earshot. "Being able to turn into a Digimon must be fun. It would be nice if I could fight as one instead of watching from the sidelines all of the time," he stated. Now Nova, be careful what you wish for. Ohwait. He can't hear me. Oh well. Nova ighed "Then again, if I were a Spirit Wielder I probably would never have met Sparks, and he probably would be deleted if that never happened," he decided, reminiscing about the time he saved Sparks.
Sparks leapt from branch to branch, easily keeping up with Jimmy. "So Jimmy, what's it like being able to turn into a Digimon? Does it feel weird or painful?" he queried. "I just know Nova's bound to ask eventually, so I may as well ask," he stated. Of course neither Sparks nor Nova knew that Mythismon was the first Spirit Wielder they met. Then Sparks began to sense something. Or rather four somethings. "I'm picking up four Digimon headed this way, and they're moving fast," Sparks warned. He then began relaying the message to Nova. So much for peace, huh?

Shin paused at his work when Nova talked to him. "Your probably better off the way you are. I've been travelling with Jimmy for awhile now, and have seen that being a Spirit Wielder has caused him to put a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. So much so that I fear he's on the brink of collapse any day now." Shin explained as he tied a string to a suitable stick, "Stupid kid and his movie and video games. It's gonna kill him one of these days." He added under his breath.
"Uhh... Well... I guess..." Jimmy tried to answer. However, before he could, Sparks warned him that their were four digimon up ahead coming their way. Jimmy cursed under his breath as he quickly found a hiding spot behind a tree and pulled out his D-tector. In the back of his mind, he tried to remind himself that just because there's a group of digimon coming this way, doesn't mean they're hostile. Yet could that just be wishful thinking on his part.
((Just telling you now. Unless you have any objections, I'm planning on having Jimmy's new spirit being from another Spirit Wielder that's chasing/fighting the antagonist of this thread.))

"Yeah, I probably wouldn't be sitting here today if it weren't for Sparks. I've been taking on a lot of responsibility before I even ended up here, but I've taking even more just to babysit these Kyupimons. I guess that part wouldn't change if I were a Spirit Wielder," Nova explained. "Perhaps things would be easier if I were a Tamer, but then again Sparks' Digivolution is probably locked by his missing memories," he stated. "Nova, I'm picking up four Digimon headed your way," Sparks warned. Nova visibly jumped. "I'll never get used to this link between me and Sparks," he sighed. "Just check it out and keep me posted," he thought back.
Sparks watched silently from the treetops until the Digimon came into view. There was a lone Stingmon being chase by three Bakemon. "Isn't that..." Sparks stared at the Stingmon for a second. The vents in his gloves opened up again, causing electricity to leak out. Electrokinetic Technique Number 5: Electric Fence! Sparks conjured a wire fence made of condensed electricity right behind the Stingmon. Unable to stop in time, the Bakemon all ran into it and received quite a shock. The Stingmon turned around in the air to see what happened.
"My, it certainly has been a while, Spikes."
Sparks dropped down from the treetops between him and the Bakemon. "This isn't any of your concern, squirt," the first Bakemon stated. "Actually, it kind of is," Sparks disagreed. The second Bakemon frowned. "Wait a second, I know that lizard freak. He's the one that freed all the Digimon we captured!" he realized. "Yeah, that kid he was with had a gold Digivice!" the third remembered. "I thought you jerks looked familiar. It really IS a small world," Sparks stated as he took a fighting stance.
OOC: Just remember to change accounts. Also, Sparkmon's electricity is at 85%.

((Thanks for the reminder. I completely forgot.))
Shin jumped up into a fighting position when he notice Nova jumping, using his newly made fishing rod as a makeshift weapon. Were they under attack? Did the human notice something he didn't? Shin couldn't quite tell as he scanned the area around the lake. Yet it appeared to all have been a false alarm of sorts as Nova told him that he was linked with Sparks.
"Please don't scare me like that. You made me think that we were under attack." Shin complained as he relaxed slightly. Once he sat back down, he began fishing and looked back over at Nova. "So, for curiosity sake, what exactly is this link your partner there?"
Jimmy stayed hidden as he noticed Sparks throw up an electrical fence in front of the group. Well... Most of the group as he allowed the lone Stingmon to go past before stopping the Bakemon that appeared to be chasing it. From what Jimmy could tell, it seemed that Sparks, the Stingmon, and the Bakemon all have some history together. A history that includes Sparks freeing digimon the Bakemon have saw fit to capture. That made things simple.
Okay. I made my choice. Now I just need to make my grand entrance as cool as possible. Jimmy thought to himself as he planned his next move. While he wasn't one for violence, after his personal experience with those that like to kidnap people, Jimmy had no plans on making things easy for Bakemon by a long shot.
"So I guess these aren't one of the 'Mechanical Menaces' you mentioned before Sparks. Still, I can't ahh..." Yet, as he stepped out from his hiding place, he found himself unable to finish his speech as he tripped on a root. Falling face first into the cold, hard ground. To make matters worse, the fall caused him to lose his grip on his D-tector, and have it slid a few feet away from him.
Ouch... Well that didn't go as I planned.

"Ah yes," Nova began. "You see, a while before we fought Metal Tyrannomon alongside those three Tamers, Sparks and I had a nasty run in with a Devimon. The jerk took an important part of Sparky's data and left a virus in its place. I had to rush him to the Springs of Life to save him only to find out that virus was in so deep that removing it would mean Sparkmon's deletion. There were only two other options. The first was to somehow find another Sparkmon to make a data patch for mine, which would be near impossible given that Sparks is quite possibly the last of his kind, and the other was the link we now have between us.
I didn't have time to listen to the details of that very link, but it essentially allows us to communicate telepathically. Heck, we may even move and speak in perfect sync. However, if one of us gets hurt, we both feel pain," he explained. He sighed. "Sometimes I worry if I made the right decision that day," he stated.
"That could've gone better," Sparks sighed. "You should've kept your old partner," Bakemon 2 stated. "Wait a second, the kid dropped a D-Tector! He's a Spirit Wielder!" Bakemon 1 warned. "Dark Claw!" Bakemon 3 extended a decaying hand in the hopes of breaking Jimmy's D-Tector. This however did not happen as it was carried away by an orange blur. "Where'd it go?" Bakemon 3 asked.
"Looking for something?"
The three Bakemon turned to see Sparks nonchalantly tossing the D-Tector into the air and catching it. "Why you little..." "Jimmy, heads up!" Sparks warned as he tossed the D-Tector to its owner. "Dark Claw!" this time it was Bakemon 2 that shot a hand out at the D-Tector. "Moon Shooter!" Stingmon shot a blast of energy from one of the spikes in his wrists. The Bakemon angrily withdrew his injured hand. "Spikes, you should run into my friends if you keep going straight. We'll hold them off," Sparks told the Stingmon. "After all, I certainly can keep them busy for quite a while by myself," he stated as the Stingmon flew away.
