OVERVIEW
Long ago whispered upon halls and spaces in multiple dimensions of the Digital World there was one word. One word that hung in the hearts and minds of the residence of a place normally of peace, of solitude, a place not without violence and competition, but a grand place. A remarkable place. This one word, from the expansive open blue spaces of the glistening Empyrean Skies to the glistening red waves of the blood seas in the Dark Area was not a word to be used lightly; not a word to be joked around. This one word could change the mood of a room depending upon where in the universe you were. Beyond the hallowed yet metaphysical barriers to the real world, it meant nothing; it would garner you stares as if you were nothing more than a madman, a village idiot. But within... in any place of repute, in any place that wished to stand as it continued, uttering this word would cause a blanket of silence to descend upon the patrons of whatever store, bar, or restaurant you so happened upon. And what was this word?
Hakainushi.
The Hakanushi begun as something simple; something pointless. They were young boys; two Tamers and Digimon who began something from a couple of mischievous crimes. Hotwiring motorcycles; the odd spot of theft, of grifting, the tricks and the cons. Sure; before there had been bands of Digimon thieves in the World and bands of even human thieves - a rarity as they were - but not with the synergy of energies both organic and synthetic had there ever been a group with the potential for such... evil. In a few short years they advanced from simple teenagers to tyrants of the Digital World, with a monopoly over each area in the region of the dataverse as we know it. Seven commanders; each possessing one of seven sins. And at the top of it all was Greed; Alastor Gorgon, the chief of Hakainushi.
Within their schemes and their plots the Hakainushi had for their commanders amassed great and terrible power. Some days they chose only to be hired thugs; hitmen and assassins of legendary repute, who changed the tide of a battle from friendly and driven to sweeping whistles and crickets across a desolated battlefield after a single technique. On others, they were villains of the worst and terrible calibre; plotting and scheming, some say, for the destruction of all that good citizens hold right. This is Hakainushi's reputation. Only the members will ever know the innermost workings of its past self. And with every growing day, there are fewer and fewer of they remaining.
With Alastor's death, the strings that bound and tied the Hakainushi together were severed with a single fell swoop; some tried to hold their ragtag band of thieves and killers together, but before long, men, women, and Digimon that had controlled the entire Digital World with a spindly floating hand manipulating its people through fear, wrath, and greed had split apart. Some left; never to be seen again. Others defected; to take on pursuits of their own, immeasurably marked by Hakainushi with a yearning for wealth and power. A few remained. Their numbers were dwindling; and the organisation soon died. They lost their power; their territory; and worst of all, their reputation.
But there are still whispers on the wind. And beneath and above it all, over the past couple of months, one word has begun to echo once more, reverberating and resonating around the Digital World high and low...

RULES
Hakainushi are not an orthodox adventuring organisation; we're not a bunch of happy-go-lucky Digital backpackers getting in a few scuffles every now and then. As such, we have a few simple rules (both in-character and out) to maintain membership.
Being part of Hakainushi grants you one base ability.
For Lieutenants, there are two abilities. One can be triggered at any point by a lower-tier member of Hakainushi with the approval of one Lieutenant.
Finally, the Leader of Hakainushi gets one exclusive ability:
BASES
The official Hakainushi base of operations is the Mansion of Tears, located in the Eastern Timberlands. If you come in here guns blazing, please don't expect to be doing so for very long. We will find you and treat the situation accordingly. However, additionally, the three Hakainushi Lieutenants and the Leader have "specific" home turf forums which grant them either the Pale Horse or Deadly Triumvirate abilities exclusive to that location. Also however, not all of these are won by default, most areas must be conquered by posting an open thread doing so IC. If ten days pass and nobody opposes or if nobody but the Hakainushi team stands the area is considered conquered. Some of these are:
VIRA KUMO/OTTO [Leader || DEATH] - The Mansion of Tears [CONQUERED]
GIYGAS [Lieutenant || THE DEVIL] - Network Plains [IN PROGRESS]
AKARI TAKAHASHI/ZEROMON [Lieutenant || THE EMPRESS] - The Cliffs of Chaos [CONQUERED]
DAICHI KUMO/BARRIGAN [Lieutenant || THE TOWER] - The Valley of Dragons [IN PROGRESS]
All Hakainushi members will be welcomed on these turfs in specific bases of operations, gaining the hospitality of their lieutenants or leader (given there's no internal problems with them). The default base of operations for all Hakainushi members is still the Mansion of Tears, unless recruited otherwise for another turf.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership for Hakainushi is exclusive, as shown above. We have limited spaces - which we will document below - and you are welcome to request one of the specific titles, but chances are, we won't reply in this thread. Post vowing your allegiance and state what you have to offer; we will consider you a candidate appropriately. If we think that you're fit for Hakainushi: we'll contact you. And begging OOC in the cbox, via PM, or otherwise, will be detrimental to your chances.

1] Joining Hakainushi is a permanent affair. Once you have been IC initiated and are confirmed to have joined, leaving will not be easy. If you work out a truce and some form of tribute with the lieutenants and leader, a safe leave may be agreed upon as a form of exile from the organisation. Randomly leaving or going rogue, however, will be punished with death. Hakainushi officially reserves the right to terminate any rogue members and will do so. By joining, you completely agree to this non-negotiable policy.ABILITIES
2] Hakainushi classified information divulged to its members is kept on a need-to-know basis. You do not for any reason divulge Hakainushi information to non-Hakainushi members, in character or otherwise. Doing so will be considered a violation of the pacts each Hakainushi member makes upon joining the organisation, and you will be treated as a rogue member. See above for our punishment for that.
3] Hakainushi membership is exclusive. IC disrespect towards higher-level members will be punished accordingly; but disputes between lower-level members or members of the same rank may be settled as the members see fit.

[ THE GRANT ] - All Hakainushi members are privy to this. In-battle, The Grant gives a 25% boost to all and any attacks' damage with a non-physical part (any special damage) for every enemy visible when multiple enemies are visible (starting with the second enemy) stackable up to the fourth enemy, granting Hakainushi members the ability to fight on any turf alone with multiple enemies as a guerrilla, terrorist-type organisation. The Grant does not function individually against enemies of a lower level than the user.
For Lieutenants, there are two abilities. One can be triggered at any point by a lower-tier member of Hakainushi with the approval of one Lieutenant.
[ VENDETTA ] - When this is triggered, it is essentially a call to arms. Placing a target on vendetta provides a legitimate reason for all and any Hakainushi members to chase and enter any thread they may be in and challenge them to battle. Vendetta must be approved by a Lieutenant.
[ DEADLY TRIUMVIRATE ] - The three Hakainushi Lieutenants are granted, when on their home turf (explained below), a +1 stage boost to their combat abilities. This means that whilst fighting in Champion, they will have the strength of an Ultimate, whilst fighting in Ultimate, they will have the strength of a Mega. This is only applicable on THEIR turf. This does not apply at Super Mega, however; there is no stage above Super Mega. Instead, at this level, the lieutenant receives a 50% boost to attack power. Additionally, any threads taking place on a Hakainushi Lieutenant's conquered turf may be entered at any time by said Hakainushi Lieutenant.
Finally, the Leader of Hakainushi gets one exclusive ability:
[ PALE HORSE ] - The Hakainushi Leader is granted, when on their home turf (explained below), a +2 stage boost to their combat abilities.
