Hideaki folded his arms as he looked around the city streets. This part of the town seemed less populated than the rest. Likely as an indirect result of this, the buildings in this part of the city were more lackluster and less developed. He could only describe it as a "shady" part of the town. The city already had an air about it that already made him feel uneasy; especially considering he had yet to see another human here besides Riya, the girl he had originally discovered the portal with in the first place. They had explored the city together the previous couple of days, their two new Digimon partners showing them around as best as they could with their extremely limited knowledge...when they weren't arguing with the other.
He swore, if it wasn't which one of them would be the stronger "Rookie" when they Digivolved again, it was something as arbitrary as something one of them liked that the other didn't. Thankfully, passing Digimon were usually fine with giving them some much-needed directions or some advice on which places to visit and which to avoid.
Koromon was bouncing ahead of him, looking around to see if there was anything of interest in the nearby area. He wasn't sure what would be here, if anything. At this point, he was almost as much a visitor to the city as Hide and Riya were, not that he'd ever admit to being clueless in front of Pagumon, Riya's partner. In fact, Hide had a sneaking suspicion that he actually knew a little bit more about the city than he did now, thanks to him actually retaining the information he'd gathered over the last couple of days.
The first day of their arrival had mostly been spent wandering aimlessly, looking around for however they were supposed to get home. Eventually they had ended up back at where they'd started: the "Trailmon terminal." And from there, they had been able to return home. Koromon had decided to come with him back to his home, where he had been forced to hide the little guy from his family. After all, they would never let him have a pet, distracting as they'd be; let alone one he couldn't explain logically. He was definitely going to have to work out a better solution soon. Especially if Koromon got any bigger. Hide had also spent the rest of the day figuring out the second device he'd been handed. He'd figured out the name of it, the Digital Terminal or "D-Terminal" for short. He'd also figured that it functioned similarly to an e-mail or text messaging system. As long as he knew the target, he could send messages to them wirelessly. He still needed to conduct tests later to see if they could still send messages between the two worlds, but he hypothesized that they would.
Afterward, the two had met up again at the Shibuya Train Terminal, where the Trailmon Terminal let them off, and they'd returned here together with their digimon partners. They had then spent the entirety of that uneventful day learning the layout of the city and where the most important buildings were located. Hide wasn't sure if Riya had retained it all, but he certainly had. After a long day of exploring and stopping their Digimon from beating on each other, they had returned back to their home once again via the Trailmon.
And now, here they were again. This time, Koromon had claimed that he knew a shortcut somewhere and had wandered off. Hide had followed him...and now here they were.
"...Ummm..." Koromon murmured, coming to a stop and looking around in a confused state. "Maybe I was supposed to go straight instead of to the right back there...?"

The last couple of days weren't exactly a picnic for Riya, and today looked liked it wasn't going to be any different. After finally finding there way home, the brand new tamer was now met with the challenge of keeping Pagumon a secret, made even more difficult thanks to his naughty and stubborn behavior. The mischievous digimon was nearly discovered on several occasions, and it left Riya wondering if maybe Pagumon would be better off waiting in the digital world instead of coming home with her. But in the end it seemed wrong to even consider such a thing. And besides, if he caused this much trouble at home with her. just imagine how much trouble he'd get into by himself here.
She quietly followed behind Hide, watching as both there partners bounced ahead, one trying to still outdo the other of course. She couldn't help but feel uneasy when they ventured to a rundown area of town, and and felt even more concerned when Koromon stopped and started mumbling to himself. Not because they could be potentially lost, but because she knew Pagumon would make a cheeky comment, and the bickering would begin all over again.
"Just what kind of directions were you following?" Pagumon jeered, dramatically flailing his ears.. "I told you guys to follow me! But noooo....Lets follow mister pinky here and get lost forever!"

"Hey!" Koromon snapped, glaring over at Pagumon when he was made fun of. "A real Digimon doesn't need any directions, I can find my way around this place with my eyes shut if I wanted to! I know this place like the back of my hand!" The small, pink blob had inadvertently used an idiom that didn't quite fit as well as he thought it did. He'd only heard Hide say it in the last couple of days and had decided to say it himself...despite his distinctive lack of limbs.
Hide opened his mouth as if to correct Koromon's mistake, but then simply let out a small sigh. He was always annoyed with how quickly Koromon jumped to using new words or phrases that Hide accidentally let slip for him. He used them incorrectly about half of the time in an attempt to sound smarter than he actually was. Thankfully, though, once it was pointed out to him, he would go back to his usual speech. Or at least, that's what had happened so far.
The boy turned to look at Riya, who had been accompanying them thus far. "So Riya," Hide asked, feeling a bit less nervous around her since they'd been travelling around this place for the last two days together. "How have these last couple of days been treating you?" he asked her, more as a way to distract them from Koromon and Pagumon's argumentative antics.

"What? You don't even have any hands! Unless you're counting these ribbons on your head!" Pagumon remarked, tugging slightly on Koromon's ears. "Jeez no wonder you got us lost pinky! Learn to use your brain for once."
Riya sighed right along with Hide as the two small digimon started up there bickering again. She wondered if they were going to act this childish forever. She shook her head and then turned to answer Hide's question. "Well...This little troublemaker hasn't been making it easy, but I suppose over all it hasn't been too bad." She smiled. "Pretty interesting if nothing else. How about you? Has Koromon been behaving?"

When that realization struck him, Koromon couldn't help but blush slightly in embarrassment. He had somehow not even thought about that. Still, that wasn't going to stop him from "fighting" back if he could. "Hey!" he growled, immediately trying to yank his ears away from Pagumon's reach. The last thing he wanted was him to be tugging on him. At the same time, he tried to angle himself so that Pagumon couldn't see his blush. "We are NOT lost! I'm just...not exactly sure I'm one hundred percent confident that I know where we are!"
Koromon then paused, allowing himself a moment to get over his embarrassment before glaring back at Pagumon again. "Besides, if you think you're so smart, then why don't you take us somewhere interesting, huh? I bet you can't!"
Hide, intentionally blocking out Koromon and Pagumon's bickering, chuckled slightly at Riya. "I can see that," he commented. "Yeah, Koromon here hasn't been much better. Though probably more unintentionally. He just can't seem to sit still for long and is so active. And that's probably pretty hard on him since I just spend a lot of my time at home just studying." He then let out a slight sigh. "I honestly wish I could come to this place more often. He's been practically dying to do some exploring. And him getting some of that energy burnt out would be helpful too."

Pagumon smirked. "That's called being lost genius. And I don't think I'm smart. I KNOW I'm smart!" To be honest, he had just as much knowledge about this place as Koromon. But this wasn't going to stop him from acting like he did. He hopped in front of pink digimon and shook his behind mockingly at him. "Follow me! I know somewhere really fun we could go!"
"Same here. But getting here as often I have now has been hard enough, with my singing lessons and all..." She then paused for a moment and thought to herself before speaking again. "Now that I think about it, that's probably the only time I haven't seen Pagumon try to get into any trouble. He's been asleep almost every single time I've finished up my lessons."

Koromon growled slightly, but said nothing in response to Pagumon's jeers. He had no more room to talk. After all, he knew good and well that the Virus Digimon was completely correct. He blushed slightly once again when Pagumon began to shake at him, but he tried his best not to seem bothered by him. He knew getting worked up and shown up was exactly what this punk wanted from him. "F-fine then!" he muttered. He would have crossed his arms had he possessed any. Instead, he huffed slightly and hopped to the side, to stop himself from staring at Pagumon's back directly.
Hide nodded knowingly at Riya's response. Still, though, he couldn't help but find the fact that Pagumon apparently slept through her singing lessons rather amusing. "Heh...I suppose that does sound like him. I wish Koromon was like that. It's all I can do to keep him quiet in my room at home while I study. I don't know if my dad will keep buying that my books keep dropping from the shelf for too long."

Pagumon bounced along with pride. He felt he had one-upped Koromon for good this time, and happily hummed as he led the group down what could only be described as a dark, grimy and shady alleyway.
Riya couldn't help but chuckle at that last part. "Guess that is a problem. Maybe we could find some way to keep them entertained whenever we're home. Not quiet sure how or with what though..." She then looked around the area and slightly frowned, slowly getting a bad feeling about where they were. It didn't seem like the type of place anyone would come to on purpose. "Um, Pagumon. Where exactly are you leading us to again?"

WARNING! A CHALLENGER APPROACHES! A pair of golden eyes snapped open, their slits narrowing. "Pyro Sphere!" An exploding fireball would land hit the ground in front of the group. A warning shot. Their attacker then jumped off a nearby roof before landing near them, revealing himself to be a Guilmon X. "You're on my turf now. You'll leave if you know what's good for you," he warned.

Before Pagumon could reply to Riya, a blast of fire landed right in front of the group, shocking and knocking both tamer and partner to the ground. Pagumon quickly rolled right back up and bounced in front of the attacking Guilmon X, growling. "Ha! I told ya something fun would be here. But you're gonna pay for that sneak attack you jerk! Poison Bubble Blow! The small creature began blowing bubbles aggressively, but this time they seemed to be green in color. Riya, who was still in slight shock from the assault, called out to her partner.
"Pagumon stop! What do you think you're doing?! Get out of there!"

Koromon just glared at Pagumon as he followed behind him. He was tempted to open his mouth and say something about them being led right down what looked like an even worse place. But before he could even bring something like that up, there was a sudden explosion, as though a bomb had been detonated right in front of them! "WAH!" Koromon exclaimed as he and his human partner, Hide were knocked backward and thrown onto the ground.
Koromon did not stay there for long, however. He quickly hopped back upright once more and glared at Guilmon X. But then, Pagumon exclaimed something and his attention turned toward him insead. "...Hmph," he murmured. He had to admit it; Pagumon had a point. He then looked at Guilmon X and smirked slightly. "Oh forget that little runt." He then gestured at Pagumon. I'm Koromon, and you'd better remember it since I'm going to be the strongest Digimon in the world one day! So you can forget about me turning tail!" And then, without hesitation, he lunged forward again. "Acid Bubble!" he called out, launching a steady, aggressive stream of bubbles. "Yeah! How d'you like that!" he called out as soon as he was finished, automatically assuming his attack would work.
"K-Koromon, you too! You don't stand a chance, so just come back!" Hide suddenly called out, quickly trying to stagger back to his feet again.

"Hmph. That was a warning shot. Don't think I'll miss on purpose again," the Guilmon X said as flames began to lick his lips from inside his mouth. "Pyro Sphere!" he spat another one of his explosive fireballs through the cloud of bubbles, causing them to burst as it went toward Pagumon. "You would do well to listen to your tamers, kids! Pyro Sphere!" He repeated his attack on Koromon, clearing away his attack in the same manner as Pagumon's in the process.

"Whoa!" Pagumon exclaimed, narrowly escaping the blast and flailing his ears around. "Hot! Hot hot HOT! I think you singed my ears!" As the grey digimon flailed about, he realized there was no way his bubbles were going to reach him from where he was. He also wasn't going to let that little pink punk outdo him. Ignoring Riya's cries, he leaped forward, attempting to tackle the red monster in the chest. Riya struggled back up to her feet and cried out for Pagumon to come back once more.
"Pagumon please! You're gonna get yourself hurt!" She couldn't believe her partner was trying to pick a fight with someone who could possibly kill him.

Koromon's reflexes were not quite as sharp as Pagumon's. "GWAH!" he cried out in pain as the Guilmon's fireball collided directly with his body. The blast had been too fast for him to evade! His light body was thrown backward from the force of the blast. He fell to the ground in a heap, having very clearly felt that blast. "Urngh..." he groaned as he attempted to use his ears to push himself back upright. He quickly realized that Pagumon had not only managed to avoid the attack but also went onto the offensive himself. "Darn it...you're not beating me!" he called out defiantly, rushing forward as well.
"Koromon, WAIT!" Hide exclaimed, suddenly reaching out and grabbing the pink blob from behind before he could move forward. "You can't fight him, he's bigger, stronger, and looks ready to kill you!"
"I don't care!" Koromon exclaimed, pulling himself free from Hide's grip easily enough. One of his ands were clutching that Digivice of his, so it wasn't like he had a solid grip from the start. "He's asking for it, and I'm not gonna let Pagumon have the last hit! I'll beat him anyway!"
"But that doesn't make any sense!" Hide called, but it was too late. Koromon had already turned his back to him, eyeing the condition of both Pagumon and Guilmon X, looking to see if he could get in closer. "Koromon, I-!" he started, but then paused. He looked down at the Digivice in his hands. The screen lit up for a moment before an image was displayed before his eyes. The image bore a picture of Guilmon X. He had toyed with the Digivice over the last couple of days and had found the scanning feature. If they couldn't convince Koromon and Pagumon to back off, maybe they could help in another way....

Guilmon X simply stood his ground and blocked the tackle with his thick forearms. He was hardly trying. "You're not very good at listening, are you?" he asked. "Rock Breaker!" He swung, attempting to use his sturdy claws to send Pagumon flying into his Tamer in the process. Smoke rose from his nostrils as he let out a contemptuous snort. "Last chance. Easy way, or hard way?" he growled.
