This wasn't going well. The last few people he'd had to explain things to had taken things remarkably well. He'd begun to think that, perhaps, he was actually decent at explaining this. So much for that. If there's one thing he'd learned about being a Tamer, it was that every time he felt half decent, life intervened and proved otherwise. Maybe he should try and take this slower, let her calm down. He was just conserned that if they took too long, someone would come by and see them. That wouldn't be good.
"I'm sorry, but I don't have a good answer to that. As far as I can tell, it happens completely at random." He gave Kuro a look, since she occasionally corrected him on things like this, but she just looked back silently. Looks like he wasn't getting a free pass this time.

Lana moved further back pressing herself up to the nearby wall, looking up into the sky – which was clothed in a deep purple mist except for the tiny stars which flicked begin the clouds. Taking several calming breaths, she pinched her arm hard and let out a yelp of pain. “Yus, real,” she said to herself softly. “I hope, I dreaming again,”
She looked back across to the three of them, the guy looking at her with a concerned expression and then at the two...'Digimon'. They seemed pretty tame and friendly, at least to Kai, so far they hadn't given that impression to her.
“So, I wonder...are dey different?” Her question came out of nowhere, just the first thing, she came up with in an attempt to keep the conversation going and so she wouldn't have to be alone. She pointed at the egg clutched in her arms, gently rubbing the hard shell. “Like do they all look like, dat?” This time moving her finger from the egg to the two Digimon with Kai.

The white cat on the ground chuckled. "Oh you. Dreams are for when you're sleeping, silly!" Kai had to stop himself from rolling his eyes. Kuro did roll her eyes, but given that her eyes were solid black orbs, it was not exactly visible. Her brother had absolutely no capacity to read the mood.
"Sorry about him. I know this isn't easy to take in, and Shiro's not helping. As to your question, no, they don't all look like that." He took a moment to consider all the Digimon he'd seen thus far. "I've seen a few that look like dogs, or bunnies, called Lopmon and Terriermon. There's these two, of course KoKuromon and KoShiromon," He indicated Kuro and Shiro, "And I've seen quite a few that looked like big two-legged lizards, called Agumon. That one in particular, I've seen quite a few variations of, like BigAgumon, and BlackAgumon. That's only a small portion of the ones I've seen."
"Also, Digimon change quite drastically over the course of their lifetime. These two, until a few weeks ago, were a lot smaller. I've seen an angelic Digimon named Lucemon change into a massive armored bird. It seems that they generally have a preferred form that they revert back to eventually, though."

Lana's mind began to boggle from all the information, she had been given tonight. So much for her to take in, consider and learn. Her face saddened slightly, around the corners of her mouth, unsure if she was suitable for all of this or if the odd device and the egg were given to her by mistake.
After a few more minutes of silence, she asked another question, “When you got ya egg or device-y thing, was you scared?” She tried to make it sound less stupid than it sounded in her head and was attempting to hide the worry in her voice.
“It a big thing, though,” she said – looking from Kai, across to Shiro and then to Kuro. She clutched her digivice in her left and and her egg under her right and after a few moments, she stood up with an attempt at a resolute smile planted on her face. “O-okay, I can do 'dis”, although with a accidental stutter to her voice.

Had he been scared when Kuro and Shiro showed up? He furrowed his brow as he tried to remember how he'd felt. "Afraid? I guess not. Confused, probably. Like I was going insane, definitely. But not really scared. I guess I was too surprised by the talking hamsters on my desk to even consider being scared of them. I never met them in the egg form, unlike you." He hadn't really had the time to be scared, what with Shiro demanding food and all. Hopefully once the egg hatched, this girl would feel better about all this.
Speaking of once the egg hatched, and fear... He needed to warn her about letting normal people see Digimon. He just didn't want to scare her too badly while he did so. "Good to hear. Just remember, you'll need to be careful. How scared you were, that's what normal people will feel if they see Digimon. Don't let people see it, okay?" He'd thought that Paige was hard to deal with, but it seemed that the girl had taken things quite maturely compared with this girl who couldn't be much older.

She started to look around, instinctively as soon as he finished his sentence. “I no let them see,” cradling the egg with a tight grip. “I'll look afta' you, dun worry,” she muttered softly under her breath to the egg, for her own benefit, rather than for anyone else.
“Should we go?” she looked up at Kai and then across to his two partners. Actually, she meant to ask him, if it was common for Digimon to come in pairs and how much more difficult; it was to care for the two over a singular partner. Although for now, she decided to keep quiet as to not bombard him with too many questions at once, especially since they were standing in the open, in a park.
By now, the sky above them had turned a deep shade of navy blue and the stars which dotted the surface had become more clear and vibrant over the backdrop. “I go home, soon,” she said loudly and with a confident resolution back in her voice, finally noticing how late it was.
Hopefully, nothing else would happen – at least not tonight.

It was getting late, indeed. He needed to get some food for Kuro and Shiro, anyways. "Yeah, it's getting late. You should get home before your parents start to worry." She knew that the egg needed to be kept secret. Hopefully, it wouldn't hatch at an inopportune time. Oh, why was he the one who had to explain the way of the Digital World to all of these new Tamers? He was so completely and utterly unqualified for this! Why hadn't Yui, or Shi, or literally anyone else been the one here right now!?
He parted ways with the girl, and headed off in search of a meal for his partners.

After, several goodbyes with Kai, Shiro and Kuro– the two of them parted ways. Lana taking the first left down the busy high street and then up the road to the residential districts, she lived in a large apartment on the very top of one of the newer complexes built in the past year.
She tried to keep out of peoples line of vision, also, having an egg clutched to your chest is something that may spark a few questions from any onlookers. Fortunately she made it back to her apartment, without being seen by anyone. As soon as she got in, thankfully, she was alone, as usual . She removed her coat, wandered into her bedroom and placed the egg onto the table, safely propping it up as to make sure it didn't roll off and collapsed onto her bed, face-down and fell asleep immediately – mentally drained after this, the most confusing evening.
