Shiro was gone. Now, Kuro was not a Digimon prone to panicking, but Shiro, on his own, was just asking for trouble. Sure, Kai was gone too, but why would he take Shiro anywhere without her? Kai never could reign Shiro in! Heck, even Kuro couldn't keep her brother out of trouble! How had Shiro gotten out, anyways? Kai was always so careful to keep them in! She needed to find a way out, find her idiot of a brother, and sneak him back in, before Kai got back from wherever he'd gone.
She had The Digimon had no way of knowing that her partner and brother were in the middle of a tournament in the Digital World. Shiro hadn't bothered telling her, and Kai hadn't known.
Kuro looked around. There weren't many ways out of the room. One window, and the door. She could hear footsteps downstairs, Kai's parents were home. Sneaking out the front was risky. Window it was. The lithe Digimon worked her way up to it. Opening the glass part was easy, it was meant to be open. The mesh behind it was decidedly less so, but she refused to just bite through it. Shiro caused enough problems without her adding to them.
Somehow, she managed to worm the mesh insert out of the frame. This wasn't how Shiro had escaped, she was sure. He would have just torn through the mesh, if he had. The Digimon climbed out onto the roof. She looked back. She really should close the window behind her... But she had no idea how. She left it. It would give her and Shiro an entrance... When she found him.
Kuro made her way off of the roof. If she were Shiro, where would she go? Everywhere! Shiro would just go wherever had the shiniest object at the time! This was hopeless! But she had to try, for all three of their sakes. She wouldn't let her brother be caught out on his own. She slipped into an alley, dark and empty. She'd never find Shiro if she was caught first.
