Well at least this wasn't to much of a change, feli could work with this but things were going to get a lot harder from here on out. Immediately feli darted up and collected a few chocolate chip waffles, he quickly walked back to his station he set the waffles down on the plate and continued his work.
Feli then removed the bowl from the saucepan and set it in icy water, while he waited for the bowl to cool a little he took the frozen waffles and put them in a nearby toaster to bake. He then quickly walked back to his bowl and began to mix the foam until it started to become a sticky custard.
Feli then took a rubber spatula and folded the custard with in the mascarpone and mixed until it became smooth. He set the bowl aside and rushed over to the waffles who are now ready, he quickly took them and put them back on the plate.
next he combined the espresso and brandy in a shallow bowl.

Jimmy looked up as Lily grabbed his attention. It seemed that it was time for the secret ingredient to be announced. He quickly put lids on the simmering pots before he walked up with the others. It was then he found out that the secret ingredient is... Waffles.
The teen didn't knew what to really expect for the secret ingredient this time around, but it definitely wasn't that. He was kind of hoping that it was something he could make into a glaze. Still not all hope was lost. He may just have a use for his newly obtained ingredient after all.
Jimmy grabbed a few of each type of waffle before heading back. He wasn't quite sure how many of them he truly needed, but he guessed he took more then enough. The desert he was crafting wasn't all that big to begin with. So over all he wouldn't really need all that many. At least that's what he hoped.
Once he had returned to his cooking station, he began the process of cooking up the waffles. He then went back over to the saucepans to see how his glazes were doing. A small smile grew on his face as it appeared to him that they were all about done. That was good seeing how the cake layers themselves should be done any moment now. He took the fruit glazes off the heat and went to check on the cake.
It appeared to him that the cake layers were done. So he quickly took them out of the oven and onto the counter to cool. He then pulled out a pan big enough to hold of the cakes he had made. It wasn't all that hard though. An average sized cake pan proved to be large. With the telltale ring of the timer telling him that the waffles were done, he grabbed his last ingredient, and prepared for what could prove to be the hardest step.
Carefully he began setting the first layers of the cake down. Placing the circular piece on top with the rectangular piece on the bottom. He then carefully sculpted with the two pieces with a knife by removing some unneeded pieces so that they would fit better together. Then he began applying the glazes semi-randomly on top, making sure to switch the flavors he used whenever he felt like he was using to much of one. That way the flavors were spread out across the whole first layer.
He followed this up by cutting off pieces of waffle and placing them ontop of the glaze he had just made. Much like the glaze, the waffles were laid out semi-randomly, making sure none of the types took favoritism over any of the others. He then placed glaze on top of the waffles much like he did for the first layer.
He repeated this whole process once more before putting the top layer on top. The whole thing proved to take him alot longer then he would of liked, especially seeing how he basically had to do two additional layers thanks to the waffles, but the base cake was now done. Now was the time to add those finishing touches that would push him in the lead. And with time ever counting downward, he had to be quick about it.

Nova blinked when he heard the mystery ingredient. Seriously? Frozen waffles? That wasn't what he was hoping for, but he could easily adapt his plan. Instead of doughnuts, why not stuffed doughnut holes? He had already finished mixing the juice in with the next batch when buzzer went off. He grabbed some of each, plain, blueberry, and chocolate chip, before returning to his station. He began breaking up the blueberry waffles and dropping them into the bowl that once held the dry mixture.
Then he wrapped chunks of the waffles in globs of dough from the first batch before rolling them into balls. Next, he set them off to the side. Then, he floured the counter again before breaking up the chocolate chip waffles, reusing the same bowl, as he eyed the rest of the collection of ingredients. Now what would go well with passion fruit? His gaze stopped on dark chocolate. Perhaps a little bitterness would help.
He had to admit, he was doing more experimenting than he planned. He wanted to wait until next round to use chocolate at all, but here he was with chocolate chip waffles already. The fact that Lilly made the waffles herself gave him more comfort. He knew Lilly, Takara, and Jimmy, but didn't want to tell the audience or the other competitors, otherwise it could seem rigged. Anyway....
He began wrapping the pieces of waffle with globs of the other plain batch and rolling them into balls as before. His goal would appear to be making them as indistinguishable as possible. Once those were finished, he began breaking up the plain waffles into the same bowl as the other waffles had been, then grabbed the dark chocolate and began doing the same into the bowl that he had just emptied of dough.
As soon as he was done, he put a frying pan on the burner and filled it with a quart of oil and turned the burner on. Next he mixed together some cinnamon and sugar and set it off to the side. Next he wrapped globs of the passion fruit dough around pieces of waffle, stopping halfway, then wrapping it around chunks of dark chocolate, rolling them into balls as he went. He would be cutting it fairly close, but he was working quickly already.
He dropped a small piece of dough into the oil, and it floated to the top, indicating the oil was hot. He then began frying his doughnut holes, hoping he had just enough time, and hoping they turn out well even more, as he got a tray out. About two minutes later, he was already removing some from the pan with tongs and coating them in cinnamon and sugar before plating them and putting more doughnut holes in the pan to take their place.

Lilly came back to the center stage, sniffing the air. It was always such a good smell.
"Well, I'm just coming up here to remind everyone that you have 5 minutes left! So shape up and ship out those desserts! Once the time runs out, you have to stop what you're doing and bring your desserts up here. No pressure."

What!? Five minutes!? But he was... Oh, no, wait, he was almost done. He just had to figure out what to do with the waffles. And what was mysterious about it. Of course... The whole thing was a mystery to anyone who wasn't named Takara Kureha. Whatever he was making had morphed into a light brown, flecked with what was probably specks of seed. Oh well no time for being fancy. He poured the thick, gooey mixture of fruits from his mixing bowl into a rather large pot. It wouldn't fit into the pans, after all. And, of course, for the finishing touch- He casually tossed the stack off waffles he had grabbed over it. Most went in. Held up by the thickness of the glooey goop, the frozen waffles made a thick layer of baked goods to top... Whatever it was he had made.
Eh, he'd BS some reason to call it a mystery later. For now, he took the whole pot and jammed it in the oven. Five minutes wasn't a lot of time... So of course he just had to run the heat higher! As high as it went! So high he nearly would catch fire just by standing near it! Silly Takara, you're supposed to close the oven door when you cook! But with all the stuff he actually had to do done, it was just a matter of watching that timer tick down. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Okay, so he couldn't actually see the timer. Does that really matter?
Oh boy, oh boy! Here it comes! Time was almost out! With a flourish, and only minimal burning, Takara whipped his Street Style Masterpiece out of the oven. Huh. It was slightly blacker on top than he remembered, the waffles seemingly fused with the upper layer of fruit to form a solid black crust. That was unexpected... But he could work with that. One last touch before time was called. A splash of a light brown liquid which, unbeknownst to him, was maple syrup. It was complete! No time to serve... Besides, he had an idea.

Alright! Almost there, Tomomi thought as he heard the five minute warning. Everything was shaping up just fine. Except he had forgotten one thing. Tomomi had no idea where the syringes were! Two out of the precious five minutes were taken looking for the syringe, but thankfully he found it!
Injecting the concoction into the dango was easy, almost as easy as placing three pieces of dango onto the bamboo sticks. Tomomi had created nine dango balls, so three bamboo sticks of three dango balls were more than enough. He took a deep breath, and brought the dango up to the judges.

"Kids, doughnut fry this at home," Nova said jokingly as he continued his process of frying and plating. He managed to get it done with seconds to spare. He had been so busy he had lost track of which doughnut holes were which. Perfect! They were a mystery to even him now. He grabbed one and tossed into his mouth. It was one of the ones made with Passion Fruit that was filled with dark chocolate.
Mmm. Chocolate.
Then the timer went off. Of course his nervousness was setting in again, but he wasn't about to let it show. Hopefully next round would actually be easier. He had no idea how the waffle stuffed doughnut holes turned out, but he hoped their crunchy center turned out perfectly. Or at least not uncooked. He was curious how Lilly thought of them. That is if Takara didn't make her sick first.
He and Tomomi didn't even wait for her to ask them to present their desserts yet.

Feli was working as fast as he could after hearing lily's warning, he was slightly panicking on the inside. Feli wiped some sweat off with the back of this hand and rewashed his hands again. He ran over to the bowl and the instruments, he quickly began to arrange and add the custard on to the dessert.
Once he was finished with that he took the plate of waffles and began to cut them up into small shapes, he was careful especially when he was cutting the smallest pieces. Once he finished doing that, he took some chocolate and used it as a type of glue and began to glue the pieces together. It took him awhile but he managed to finish putting it together he took his dessert and put it in a freezer hopefully it would be ready by the time the timer went off.

Jimmy let out a sigh of relief as the timer buzz. He had spent the last five minutes of the round frantically frosting his cake. Trying his best to get his cake to resemble a magnifying cake. Admittedly it didn't turn out as well as he had hoped, but he thought he did pretty well considering.
A worry of his was that the cake itself wasn't all that big. Probably smaller then most cakes. Yet that was to be expected given everything he had to do to get it done. Quality over quantity and all that. Here's just hoping there was enough for everyone her to have a slice.

Once the time ran out, there was a buzzer. The round was over, and the contestants had to bring their desserts up.
"Alright, everyone bring up your desserts! I hope everyone had fun trying to come up with something. I certainly all the delectable smells. I'm so close to drooling right now!"
Once everyone brought up their desserts, Lilly would continue.
"And now is time for the contestants to show off what they've done! They not only need to make a good, thoughtful dessert, they also need to sell the idea! What baker is incomplete without the ability to make their creations just beg to be eaten!"
(((So, each one needs to display their desserts, and describe them as best as you can. Also explain to her how the dessert fits into the "mystery" theme and try to sell her on the idea. )))

Plopping his dish down before the judges, Takara began to explain. "Now, may I present to you, the glorious dish which I call, " He took a look at his dish. Such a masterpiece required an equally masterful name. Hmm. "The Cauldron Chest of Indomitable Treasure!" He had no idea what half of that meant. But it was in a pot, so cauldron... And the rest, well, "Like an old treasure chest, it looks old and dirty on the outside... But inside, golden treasure is hid!" As for indomitable? It just sounded cool. Yeah, Takara's naming sense is almost as bad as his sense of taste. He does regret not getting to try some before passing it on... But that would reveal that there was no golden treasure inside!
Little did he know, that wasn't exactly true. Because of his rushed and ridiculous cooking method, only the outside of the... His name is too long, just call it gloop... Well, only the outside had been cooked. Underneath that slightly charred crust of un-frozen waffles and fruit sugars, lay a soft light bed of uncooked, though slightly warm, gloop. Now to see if the judge's sense of taste was anything like that of the mad chef, the treasure hunter himself, Takara Kureha.

Placing a plate on each spot, Tomomi gracefully presented the dango very simply. It was literally a white ball of dough with a bamboo stick running through it, connecting three balls. The outside looked extremely simple, which was the point. The mystery was the content!
"Ladies and gentlemen, I have prepared for you Mystery Inverse Dango! This is a variation of my sister's Anko Dango. Very differently from how you normally see Dango prepared, the sauce is on the inside. The ingredients are of course a mystery until you bite in!" Tomomi ever graciously bows before his peers, "Please enjoy."
Sweat drops flowed down Tomomi's face as he watched the judges look down his work. Hopefully they enjoy it! If only Scout or Emiko were there, he'd feel way more comfortable.

Jimmy took a deep breath. It appeared to be his turn to present his dessert. He's been thinking about his speech while he was preparing his dessert, but now he was having second thoughts about it. Would it be good enough? Perhaps he should just wing it?
No no. That would be a terrible idea. Jimmy thought as he brought up his cake, I just needed to put on an aura of confidence and everything will be alright. Right?
"Everybody may I present to you my Cake of Mystery. As you all may see this cake is shaped like a magnifying glass. For what's a better symbol of mystery and detectives then the this age old tool. Of course that isn't all this cake has to offer. Each bite you take may very well have a completely different flavor then the last.
That's because... Ehh ehh ehh... What am I doing? I shouldn't tell you. That would ruin the mystery, and I believe it would be more for you all to try to figure it out together." Jimmy gave a curt bow as he backed away.
The cake itself resembled a magnifying glass much like Jimmy said. Different colors of icing having been used to help differentiate the different parts. Inside one would discover that the cake had three different layers of normal yellow cake. However one would also discover that there are at least four different types of fruit glazes used in between the layers. Each of them were spread carefully so that no one flavor completely dominates any part of the cake. They might also discover pieces of waffles in between the layers as well, with each type of waffle having at least some type of representation through out the cake.

Nova watched Jimmy's presentation as he waited for his turn. Then he brought up his platter of doughnut holes to Lilly as he walked over. "Life is like a box of chocolates, or in this case, a platter of doughnut holes. You never know what you'll get. This round, I put my own spin on one of the sweets I used to eat when I eight years younger, as they are all stuffed. Back where I come from, your stereotypical cop could be seen eating one.
Each one could very well have a slightly different filling than the last, or a comnpletely different one entirely. Some also had an extra ingredient mixed into the dough. Not even I can tell which ones are which, because I lost track in between frying and plating all of them," he said as he presented his dish. Nova mimicked Jimmy's bow as he took his place with the others. He hoped round 2 would be much easier.

Feli smiled once Nova finished his presentation he prepared to present his own, he presented his dessert on a silver platter. The dish itself looked elegant, the dessert itself had three levels with delicious looking cream in the middle, the levels were separated by evenly cut waffles, on the top was what seemed to be a ballerina made from waffles, details were decorated on her with dark chocolate. Around the dessert were waffle flowers delecatly cut and pieced together using chocolate as a glue "for the dessert I have chosen to make is called Tiramisu a very elegant dessert in my homeland its name translates to pick me up~" he said with a smile. " but even so I slightly modified it to fit with the waffles, Now with in this treat is the perfect blend of cream, milk and powdered coco~ its creamy texture will send you and your taste buds on a trip to paradise~" he said as he finished with his introduction of his dish. He turned to the judges and bowed "I hope you enjoy my treat thank you for your time~" he chirped cutely and joined the other competitors.
(sorry guys im back stuff kinda came up for me XD)
