--- Kyoko enters.
The entire last few days had been a blur for Kyoko as a whole. First, her father announces he's going overseas, leaves the next morning, and her mother then announces she's got work in Okinawa. Left alone, Kyoko found herself much more at ease then anything since her parents were gone. She could finally let her hair down and be a bit more aware of her surroundings.
That being said, a thunderstorm had hit, and her computer had been acting rather odd. What had happened next was something she was still questioning. The computer displayed small creatures on the screen before short-circuiting and spitting out two objects.
An egg, and a device. She had scrambled to catch the egg before it broke and had been hit in the head with the device all at once. Needless to say, she had spent the entire few days questioning the whole thing but had come up with nothing as a result.
Deciding to head off to the library and she if she could find something on the subject, the girl held her bag close to her which carried the small egg and the device.
Hopefully no one would actively question her about it just yet.

Sometimes Nikumo forgot just how... normal the real world was. While the tall girl had only been travelling in the Digital World for about... a little less than two weeks, there was a rather fresh respite from the weirdness back here in the Entertainment District in Shibuya. As she walked across the sidewalk towards the library, a duffel bag on her shoulder, she glanced behind her towards a white-haired girl in a black jacket. "How's the... well... holosuit doing ya Yvonne?" The tall Nikumo would ask The white-haired girl had on her face a apathetic stare, she occasionally glancing at the unfamiliar surroundings around her. It was her first real look at downtown Shibuya while not being stuck in a duffel bag like her sister... and she had to admit, it was an exotic appearence compared to say Terminus City. "Quaint, but not terrible. It will do fine though for purposes like these." Yvonne would muse, she still trying to get used to her human-like visage... a very different feel compared to that of her Rookie form. Inside the duffel bag that Nikumo was carrying around, a BlackKudamon pouted, wishing that she could be outside with her tamer and sister. It sucked only having enough money for one holosuit... "Wish I could look hooman-y too..."As both Tamer and disguised Digimon finally arrived at the library in question, Yvonne took a brief moment to take a deep breath. While her face look bored and uninterested, there was actually a bit of excitement deep down in her. There were not many things that actually interested the Digimon, but literature was one of them. "I've never been to a library, least here. I presume there is a very different selection of books here, no?""Mmmhmm. I used to go here all the time as a kid... half of the time to read like informative books, the other reading mangas. Course now I just read the stuff online." Nikumo would comment as both she and Yvonne walked up the stone steps before entering the large building. Finally inside, Nikumo walked to an empty table, she pulling a seat for herself. "How bout ya go and try and find something? There's bound to be SOMETHING a grump like you would be interested in."Yvonne rolled her eyes, a slight smirk on her face. Hehe. She supposed she WAS a grump. She silently nodded towards the girl before walking off to one of the aisles, trying to find anything interesting.
(OOC: I haven't updated my prof yet with it, but I just bought a holosuit for Yvvy.)

Kyoko found herself in the library's interior, going about looking for various bird-care guides -- thinking it might be an overgrown chicken egg of some kind. Needless to say, it wasn't long before she came face to face with the chatting duo(?).
Pausing, the stoic girl offers a dip of her head in greeting before going about looking for care guides.
The egg was slightly visible from within her bag, though only just barely.
She stops however, briefly looking over at the rather odd looking holosuit the digimon was disguised behind. She wasn't sure what to make of seeing such an odd-looking person in plain daylight, but she supposed that times were changing quickly.
"... Your style is unique." She comments quietly, a shy expression taking over.

Now separated from Nikumo, Yvonne was browsing the halls of the library, attempting to find anything of interest. Seemed she was in a aisle for instrutorial literature... judging from the book she pulled out of curiosity was for caring for pet goats. As she briefly stared at the cover, she noticed that standing somewhat nearby was a girl about her height with pale ivory-tinged hair. Yvonne could almost taste the meekness coming off this new girl... Regardless, she gently stared back at the girl's compliment of her attire.
"Thank you I suppose. I am not one for fashion honestly, so I will take any compliments I get." It honestly was true... Yvonne didn't care for fashion. Then again, the attire that she was currently wearing came with the look Nikumo had the holosuit programmed with... so it had not been really her own fashion choice. Politely, the disguised Digimon paused and gave a courteous nod towards the young girl. "Yvonne Takara. Pleased to meet you." She'd say, borrowing her tamer's last name for the sake of blending in.
It was only then that Yvonne noticed something particularly curious sticking out of the girl's bag, enough to actually cause the normally calm individual's eyebrows to raise from curiosity. It was an egg... a large one at that. It didn't take a genius to put two plus two together to figure out what it was. She didn't know how the girl got the Digiegg, but there was doubt in Yvonne's mind that this was a fledgeling tamer. "That's a... mighty large egg you have there." She'd comment, attempting to try and ease This girl likely had no idea what she had even gotten herself into... She sighed slightly.
Oh THIS was going to be fun...

The girl gave a once over of the girl, blinking. "Well... maybe... matching colors... and usually black or white... goes well with things..." She had pauses in between her words, speaking slowly and softly.
It was when the egg was noticed that she visibly froze. Despite her tired expression, she looked troubled as well. "... I'm not even sure what it is..." She began. "That's why I came here... to do research... and try to find out..." Given by the girl's expression, she must know something about it. "Do you... know what this egg is by any chance? What bird its from... maybe?"

"It's a.. Mmphmurglemahgai" Shiro, the white Digimon bearing a striking resemblance to a cat, was not about to let the hand clamping his mouth shut keep him from talking! It might keep him from talking in a comprehensible manner, but not from talking! Meanwhile, his tamer, Kai, was desperately hoping that the KoShiromon had not been heard. Well, by the stares he was getting, that wasn't the case. But, based on the fact that bags don't talk, and his arm being in his bag... Maybe they just thought it was some new ringtone? In any case, they seemed more annoyed about the loud noise being made in the library.
If Kai had had a choice, he would not have brought Shiro with him. But the white creature was an absolute master at sneaking into Kai's bag whenever the teenager looked away. An absolute master. And somehow, he usually managed to drag his sister, Kuro a black, ferret-esque creature, with him. But... Shiro was so disruptive, like this, that he wished that the Digimon wouldn't. All Kai had wanted was a chance to catch up on his studies somewhere quiet!? Was that too much to ask?
Interrupting his thoughts was another soft voice from inside the bag. Kuro. A shame Kai didn't have two hands to quiet her, as well- His other arm was currently slung in a cast, after being on the wrong end of a Digimon's teeth. Fortunately, she was the sensible one, and spoke so quietly as to not be heard. "Kai... I would recommend hearing him out on this one. It is important. Shiro, do be quiet. Do you desire to be taken away by the Digital Accidental Tactics Squad?" Neither Kuro nor Kai actually believed that would happen... But it made a very convenient threat.
Sorry... But Kai! There's a Digi-egg! Right here!" "What!?" Oh, now Kai was the one being loud. "Ah- Sorry. Don't mind me." he called to the other patrons. Whoops. After all that telling Shiro to be careful, too. "Where... is it?" Kai whispered to his bag. The response was a nod in the direction of two girls. In one of the girls' bag... It could be a Digi-egg? He couldn't see well enough to be sure. But Shiro did have an uncanny sense for these things. Well then, this was awkward. Was he just supposed to... approach them?
Well, on the one hand- Weird guy with a broken arm randomly comes up and says hi. Then points out that you have a monster egg in your bag. And quite probably has a talking cat, well, talk. On the other hand... The egg could hatch at any moment, and it would be better if she knew what she was getting into. And if she was aware that the library was definitely not the ideal place for a freshly-hatched Digimon. He'd just have to suck it up and go talk to them. Hopefully he wouldn't be confused for someone trying to pick up chicks in the library.
"Err... Excuse me... I couldn't help but notice that... Egg, in your bag..." Kai began tentatively, awkwardly. Up close, yep, that was definitely a Digi-egg. Thankfully, Shiro hadn't burst out with anycomments... Though, that would be a good ice-breaker. "Yeah. I have a talking cat. And just maybe, you do too!" Please, no.

So the girl was clueless as to what she carried. Well, perhaps that could make her job easier... They would need to take this slow and steady though... wouldn't want for her to star freaking out after all. "Yes... as a matter of fact, I do have a bit of an idea as to what that egg is. One thing I can say is that I doubt any bird that lives here in Japan could lay such an egg considering how big it is."
As she debated on what to say next, the disguised Digimon cocked her head towards yet another unfamiliar individual... a young man with brown hair who had a pair of glasses on his face. Notably one of his arms was slung in a cast, meaning that it was likely broken at the time being. Yvonne couldn't help but awkwardly stare at the young man, curious to see yet another individual approach them. However, it seemed that he also had taken interest in the Digiegg in the girl's bag. It suddenly hit her... perhaps was he a actually a Digidestined or something?
"Yes... it is a rather interesting egg, don't you agree?" She'd pass off her surprise towards the young man, bring back into question the very strange egg. She of course knew what it was, but she didn't want to just go and raise any suspicions if this man wasn't actually a Digidestined... "Do you perhaps recognize it too? Eggs like those... well, I've read about them on the internet. They don't come by very often." She'd ask, her own subtle way of trying to let him know that she was related to the Digital World. Perhaps maybe they can try and convince the girl to find a more private location to explain this sorta thing? It would be better to do the finishing blows to this girl's normal life in a more controlled environment...

Not only had her question been answered in a way, but the fact was another person had shown up. Unfazed by it all in the end, Kyoko observes the group gathering in question before pulling the spotted egg from her bag and holding it close.
"I see..."
While Kyoko was no mind reader, something was amiss enough that she could tell this was not a good place to talk. "There are... private reading rooms here... We can use one of those." That being said, she walks off without another word, expecting them to follow.
That being said, it's clear to see Kyoko comes here a bit to much as she knows her way around here fairly well.
Stepping into the room, she waits until it's shut before turning to eye them with the same calm expression she had been using before. "It came out of my computer... and a device hit me in the head... soon afterward." Judging by her deadpan expression, Kyoko was a bit to out of sorts. In fact, she could be called a bit strange.
"I take it... you three know... where these eggs come from?..." Clear blue eyes observing them both, she pulls the egg closer, questioning in the back of her mind if perhaps it was better she relinquish the egg to people who could properly care for it.
But the warmth radiating from it... it was comforting, and in a way, she liked it. To think of giving this up would come with resistance on Kyoko's end.

The other girl... The one who didn't have the egg... Was she involved? She hinted that she knew what the egg was... But without directly saying it... Kai couldn't be sure. "Yes. I recognize it. But we should-" No, wait, they were already on it. Kai followed the two girls to a secluded room- A perfect place for Digimon to stay out of the public eye.
"Right. First things first- I'm Kai Haimura. Nice to mee-" He was rudely interrupted by his bag flying open, a white lump leaping from it to land on a table. "And I'm Shiro! Hiya!" The white cat declared, beaming! Kai... Was just thankful that the Digimon had waited for them to be in private before announcing himself. "Kuro, c'mon out here and say hello!" Deep in Kai's bag, Kuro was not amused. Shiro ran on his own pace, never thinking about anyone else. Still, she deigned to remove herself from Kai's bag, curling herself about his neck. "Please, do not be alarmed. All will be explained, in time."

A private reading room... That was absolutely perfect for this type of situation. Best to avoid any potential mishaps with talking about this sorta situation. She realized that she probably could drop the disguise by then, but she felt it to be safer to keep it up for the time being... if just so she doesn't cause the girl to panic. "Yes... that will do nicely. This sort of stuff is something that should be kept a bit more private for all of our sakes." She'd say, following the girl's direction towards a room, entering it with her and the young man.
Before they could really make any actual progress about answering her questions, a white cat-like Digimon popped out of the bag, rudely interrupting his tamer's attempt to answer her questions. Additionally coming out after being gestured out by her sibling, a pitch-black ferret-like Digimon came out, curling herself around the young man's neck. Two Digimon she's never really seen before... but guess that was somewhat normal. As far as she knew, she was herself the only Digimon of her kind too. Yvonne couldn't help but sigh at the white cat-like Digimon, an almost disgusting amount of cheer coming from them. Reminded her of someone who was equally lacking grace. "Couldn't just wait to introduce yourself, could you?" She'd chide on the male of the pair of Digimon, annoyed by how impromptu his appearance was. If it weren't that they were in one of these private reading rooms, that could have ended rather badly. Least the female of the pair was calm and more reasonable it seemed, same with the tamer. "So you ARE one? Figured that was the case, but the last thing I'd want to just go and say out aloud "Hey! Are you a Digidestined or something?!" Because I bloody well know that my sister would do such a thing if she were in my situation."
So the good news was that her suspicions were confirmed... this girl was definitely a new tamer. "So the egg and device came out of a computer... That's normal. At least normal for this. You seem like a bright girl... so I am sure you caught on that something is amiss here." Yvonne would respond towards the girl's question, admiring how calm she was acting. It must have been quite frightening for such a thing to happen... perhaps that was why she was here at the library? To look up info? Smart idea if it weren't for that she doubted this library had anything on the subject of Digimon. Better to take this slow and steady. "Would you rather that we try and explain things by ourselves or would you rather ask questions by yourself?" She'd gently ask the girl beforen then glancing at the young man who called himself Kai Haimura. "I am sure that either of us can likely answer any of your questions. Take your time dear."

They were nice. All of them. Even as the digimon appeared one by one, Kyoko felt at ease. While most people would have been afraid, Kyoko looked as if she wanted nothing more then to pet each of them and give them affection, but she resisted for the time being, feeling this might be the only chance for a while she would get to ask questions.
Holding the egg with one arm, she pulls out the device, showing it to them. "So... I take it that... you guys have... this as well?" She asks, soon pulling it back after they were given a good look and slipped it back into her bag.
"... I take it... these creatures you have here... come from this egg?" Kyoko was not as slow as people might think. Putting two and two together, that is. Given, anyone could do that, but still... "What are... these creatures called... ? And... when will this egg hatch...?" If these cute creatures all came from eggs like this... did this mean that she was chosen to receive one...?
"Who... chooses who receives these eggs...? Is it a daily occurrence to... find eggs popping out of... your computer...?"

Oh. He was the only one who had introduced. Now that was awkward. What was he supposed to call them? And what the one mean when she said, 'Digidestined?' That was a term Kai had never heard before. Tamers, Spirit users, an a third group he hadn't heard a name for. Tamers had Digivices, Spirits had D-Scanners, and the third group had Loaders. They were also by far the rarest, in his experience, having only met two so far. Neither of which explained very much about what it meant. Anyways, the Digivice the girl soon took out clearly marked her as a Tamer. Well, he could be confused later. For now, he would try to answer her questions as best he could.
"Yes." Kai said simply, withdrawing his own black-and-white Digivice. "This is called a Digivice." Err... He couldn't really explain what the Digivice did without explaining the rest. "And yes. These creatures are known as Digimon- Short for Digital Monster. What you have is a Digi-egg, an egg from which a Digimon hatches. They are not all alike, as you can easily see from looking at Kuro and Shiro." "That's right! I'm one of a kind!" Shiro interrupted, beaming. But a glare from Kuro quieted him down so Kai could speak.
"As for when it hatches- It could be weeks... Or it could be seconds. I've only run into a few... But when they hatch, it seems entirely random. Same with who gets them- I haven't been able to find a pattern. Not that I've been looking for long. I myself have only had these two for a few months. I feel as though I'm still learning new things daily. Do you have anything to add?" Kai asked, looking to the other girl. Certainly, anyone but him would be a good choice for explaining these things! It would be good to hear an explanation from someone with a better grasp of Digimon.

"You covered most of it for the most part, but there is a few things to note." Yvonne would reply to the young man. He honestly did alot of the work for her... least the girl seemed to be taking this all fairly well. Now it was her time to patch the holes. "First off... the origin of Digimon is an alternate dimension called the Digital World. This city is more than a bit odd... the borders between both worlds are blurred at times... leading to cases like you."
She pointed at the girl's Digiegg... there was no telling what it would be once it hatched, but this was still the cause of the girl's current situation. This was the very reason she was a Tamer now. "Perhaps you were just someone who was in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or perhaps you could call it destiny? Either way... you now an oppurtunity that very few humans have. That egg and Digivice you have are your badges... the badges that qualify you as a Tamer. From that egg, one or maybe two Digimon will hatch... and from there, you will become partners. For better or worse."
The holosuit-donning Digimon glanced at Kai, she politely bowing to him. "You... Kai Haimura you called yourself? I am sorry I have yet to introduce myself. My name is Yvonne..." Suddenly, the image of the black jacket-donning girl started to flicker, her form almost seeming to break apart. In a instance, standing in her place was an almost rabbit-like Digimon, a soft cottony wool wrapped around her neck. On the Rookie level's forehead was a bright red ruby, it softly glowing. "... One of two partners of the Tamer, Nikumo Takara." She'd solemnly say.

Throughout all of it, she remained quiet, but it was when the image of the girl began to flicker that it startled her momentarily. Being that today's technology wasn't exactly that advanced, to find something like that was... odd.
Blinking, she takes a moment to gain her bearings before she processes the information given to her. "Partners..." She couldn't quite understand what this all meant at the moment, but no doubt she would in time.
"Ah... my apologies... my name is Kyoko Takezuki." The fact that these digimon looked so happy with their partners brought a faint smile to her features. Would she be able to make her digimon that happy?
Clutching the egg tighter to her, another question came to mind. "... what is the digital world... exactly? I assume... it remains in a digital space... like a computer because... of the word 'digital' but..."

Why was Kai the only one shocked right now!? A human had just turned into a Digimon! Okay, so he had seen this before... It didn't make it any less unexpected! And Kyoko, as she introduced herself, had only just learned about them! Was Kai the one in the wrong here!? Was he the one mentally unsuitable for the nonsense that came with being a Tamer!? It would make sense. He already knew he was completely and utterly unsuited for being one. What was one more reason to add to a growing list?
He'd... Come to terms with his own inadequacy later. "Yes, the Digital World exists parallel to our own. And, as Yvonne said, occasionally holes between the worlds open up. Some more permanently than others. For now... Don't worry about it too much. The Digital World can be very dangerous for the unprepared... As can Digimon." Kai said, with a quick glance at his arm. Broken, along with several ribs, when he was attacked by a Digimon. It had happened in the real world... But he was warning Kyoko, not trying to scare her. "As for the details of what the Digital World is and how it came to be... I can't answer that."
