"I was speaking... metaphorically... *sigh*."
It seemed Celeste had moved on already, probably already realizing that she wasn't actually dead, although for someone who has gotten out of a coma not even a half hour ago she seems... chipper. Not at all like Mel. And while Lezard had no personal ills from Mel, he was rather... would he call it anti social?
Celeste even started to quiz Mel for... some reason. At this point Sanoske started to speak up to Crystal.
^Hey, honey, I... would like to discuss something with you in private. It is important.^
Sanoske got on all fours, prompting her to get on his back (as well as making a staircase). He didn't want Mel or Celeste to hear what he had to say, and since Mel had his (well, Pure's) ears Sanoske figured he'd have to take her some distance away.

"Huh?" Crystal voiced as she turned her attention to Sanoske, "Well uhh..."
A sigh left Celeste's (Cuttah's) lips. "Fine then. Well compromise. I'll only ask you let see uhh... Around ten questions. That should do."
"Sure Sanoske." Crystal answered with obvious hesitation in her voice. She didn't just want to leave her brother, especially during a time like this, but Sanoske said it was important. So she climbed onto her back prepared to be taken to wherever Sanoske had planned.
"Alright then. I'll play your little game. What do you want to know?" Mel answered. He really wished his sister didn't force him to go through all these loops. It was obvious what she really wanted to know from this quiz.
"What is my favorite color?" She asked with a devilish grin. This was going to be Mel's whole day, wasn't it?

Once Crystal got on, he turned around, briefly looking at Lezard. The Wizardmon variant crossed his arms, shaking his head a bit. "Don't worry about me, I'll stick around. I admit, I am curious about this little quiz.
Figures that Mel's sister would be an eccentric... or at least this type of eccentric."
Hearing that, Sanoske walked off briskly, not wanting to take up too much of her time at the moment.
He spent a bit over half a minute walking before stopping. Then a slightly transparent half dome slowly formed behind them. Something to lower whatever sounds that could come from them. Still, the Gazimon had spoke in a low growl.
^Please believe me when I say that I did not wish to bring this up... but I am sure this needs to be discussed.
At some point Rippah is going to be back with Tab, and Celeste will be given her own body. Of course, the same cannot be said about Mel. I do not know if Mel will offer details, but if there was anything these recent events have told me, it is that siblings will try to stick together.
Regardless of what happens, Celeste is a part of the group now. Although I am sure you have already figured his out... you are not stupid, after all. But I just wanted confirmation and wanted to know your thoughts.^

"Excuse me. I prefer the term 'Creatively Minded' thank you very much." Celeste made sure to point out to the Wizardmon after overhearing his comment. Though fortunately it didn't look like she was being all that serious about that what so ever.
"You don't have one." Mel then commented.
"What?"
"You don't have a favorite color. Actually it would probably more accurate to say that your favorite colors changes every week."
"Isn't that technically two completely different answers."
Mel gave a small shrug, "Perhaps, but your not saying I'm wrong either." He made sure to point out.
"Fine then. We'll just go to my next question. Why in the world would you decide to use the body of a terriermon of all things? Knowing you. I would have thought you would have chosen a form that was more... What's the word I'm looking for? Big?"
"What is that suppose to mean?" Mel asked as he got all defensive.
"Well let's face facts. It was no secret you revelled in your forms that looked powerful. All because you were embarrassed by your name. Heck I even remember this one time back when we were kids you practically bullied everyone around into calling you 'M'. I'm kind of shocked that you didn't try that here."
"Heh heh yeeeaaaahhhhh..." A tinge of red appeared on Mel's (Pure's) cheeks as he was reminded of his more embarrassing endeavors.
Crystal lied down ontop of Sanoske's back as he began. "I should have known this is what you wanted to talk about." She said with a sigh as she tried to gather her thoughts together.
"You already said it. She's more likely coming with us then not. So why even try to fight it? The more the merrier I say."
There was a clear lack of enthusiasm in her voice as she said this. Her eyes all the while gazing upon the sky through the dome around them as she tried in vain to strain her voice to hear what was going on with Celeste and Mel. Only able to barely make out there voices, but nothing of what they are saying. Fortunately that meant Mel was on the same boat for her and Sanoske.

"Creatively minded? Well, whatever floats your proverbial boat."
Lezard also replied in a not serious matter, standing still as Celeste practically interrogated him it was strange seeing this sort of bickering... and also a bit familiar. It's not altogether that different from conversations... the bantering he has seen between Terra and Elec.
He also knew the jist of why Mel was in Pure's body, so he spoke up... although he chose his words to be more general.
"If I remember correctly, you Hylden cannot survive long here without a host... which is why you're in my friend's body, Celeste.
For all I know he probably just took over the first vulnerable digimon he could. Sometimes you just cannot be picky with the hand you're dealt.
That being said... to be quite frank, Mel, I'm starting to understand more and more why no one likes you. You should be extra thankful you have the chance of having Celeste embarrass you, rather than you and her being lost. Maybe be a little nicer to other people and maybe, just maybe, mitigate that list of people that had tried to kill you.
Just saying." ----
Sanoske growled, feeling Crystal shift a bit.
^I just do not want any more issues with newcomers... are you trying to listen to them?^
Sanoske then chuckled a bit. ^You can just ask Lezard. Maybe Cuttah or Pure. I also had something else to mention...
... where should *we* go after all of this?^

"Who asked you?" Pure told Lezard annoyed. The Hylden didn't need a lecture about his attitude. "Geez... Anyways. As he said. This Terriermon just happened to be most convenient host at the time."
I'm still here you know. You could at least call me by name.
"Ended up pretty lucky too as his more timid nature allowed me to take over without him fighting back."
"I see that. It seems you were able to prove that theory true. To bad it doesn't matter much now." Cuttah replied with a thoughtful nod.
Theory? What does she mean by theory? Are you telling me you weren't sure that I wouldn't be mutated if I didn't fight back? Pure asked with a mix of worry and anger.
Don't sweat the details. It worked, didn't it? Besides it's not like I can mutate you now anyways.
Crystal thought about it for a bit. "I... I don't know. I haven't actually given it much thought. After all this is finally over, we don't have anything else urgent that needs to be done. At least I hope not." Crystal gave a nervous chuckle, really hoping she didn't just jinx them by saying that.
A thought then occurred to her. She honestly couldn't believe she hadn't thought about it before.
"Do you have anywhere you want to go Sanoske? I feel kind of guilty dragging you along with me during all this chaos."

Lezard chuckled out loud at Mel's response to him. Figured he'd say something like that. Still, he was curious about Celeste's response.
"Well, Mel... I'll at least say I'd rather 'hang out' with Cuttah over you. The both of you can be mean but at least Cuttah shows regret, hahaha.
Anyway, Celeste, what do you mean it doesn't matter much, now? Am I missing something?" -----
The Gazimon growled, going in thought about potential locations he could take her. But he was drawing a blank.
^I do not know. And, well... I do like being dragged around by you. Gives me purpose. And since you are the 'leader' of 'Team Crystal' I figured you would have a better idea. But, failing that...I could always fabricate a place. ^

"It's nothing you need to worry all that much about. I've just lost interest in that project a good while ago. Plus I have no intentions on reporting the proof the this theory to any of my past higher ups. They lost all privileges to my research after I was fired." Celeste answered with a nonchalant shrug.
"By the way Mel. That reminds me. What happened to all my research after the incident?"
"If I were to guess. Our righteous leader probably has it."
A frown formed on Cuttah's face. "Oh..." The frown was short lived however as she just shrugged again, "Oh well. I got everything I need up here." She said tapping Cuttah's forehead.
"I wish you would stop calling me that. We both know that I'm the least fit person to be the leader of our little group. Your much more level-headed and mature then me." Crystal mentioned as she just lied there, one of her hands subconsciously petting Sanoske's fur, "Still. Thank you. Honestly I wouldn't know what I would do with out either you or Pure."

"Theory, eh?"
Lezard was curious as to what the theory was. It certainly seemed like it would be interestng. At least, that's what he thought as he rubbed his chin, looking off to the side for a few moments.
"Well... I admit... I'm intrigued as to what your theory was. Granted, you Hylden are a curious breed. If it weren't for the fact that it's hazardous to normal digimon I'd find myself going there for research. "
---------
Sanoske chuckled a bit hearing Crystal tell him to stop referring to her as leader.
^Qualifications or not, you are the glue that kept us together. And you do give me a purpose. I told Pure this before, but I find it exceedingly hard to remember anything before we met.
I wonder, had I not met you two, if I would remained as I was then, spending long periods of time unaware of my surroundings.
Of course, I am quite glad we met. Although I hardly would qualify myself as a leader. I just... like to support you.^

"So he hasn't told you all yet?" Celeste exclaimed as she gave a dark look at her brother. Which who either didn't notice the look, or just chose to ignore it.
Once it bacame clear that her brother wasn't going to say anything, Celeste decided to continue, "Whenever us Hylden take over a body of another digimon, we end up mutating it to resemble one of our own. Theory was that this was caused when we enforced our will on another. Subconsciously transforming our hosts body to one better suited to us as we fight to keep control. If this proved to be true however, this also meant that if we Hylden were somehow able to take over another's body without them fighting back, then we'd be able to control with minimal mutation, if at all.
"Of course the problem with this theory was that there was little we could do to prove it. As you already know, we have little time when we are in this world, and no one in there right mind would so easily hand their body to another. In fact I suspect that Mel there is the first one to successfully accomplish such a feat." She told Lezard as she looked over at Mel once more, "And I wouldn't be surprised to learn that I'm the second."
"You hardly remember anything after we met?" Crystal moreso repeated then asked as she had an idea, "Was that when we met up north, or when we had met back at Lily's?"

Lezard nodded, rubbing his chin. "I understand. Although... and this is mere hypothesis as I have no real proof otherwise... Mel there might be the second, not the first.
There was one other who aided in retrieving your body named Vetina. Her, Pure and Crystal, and Cuttah's brother Rippah were the party that went in the Hylden area. However, I do recall that both Pure and Vetina, having some Hylden influence in them, were more or less safe from the hazardous effects of the area.
But I am unsure what Vetina's situation is. Something tells me that it isn't as simple as her merely taking over a body. I do know that the Hylden were specifically after her for a time. "
Of course, Celeste wouldn't know which Hylden Vetina was.
"But you can ask her at some point. I'm sure you'll run into her. She'll... stand out."
"Listening to her talk gave me a headache." Cuttah mentally chimed in. It seems Cuttah was ready to speak a bit.
----------- (((Before, not after}}}
Sanoske nodded. ^Before we met in the mountains. I was more... reactive then. I was practically unaware for most of my existence up to that point. And a bit after up to when we met again.
It is weird, though... it is not quite like forgetting. It is like... You are fairly certain you went somewhere, but you have absolutely know recollection of the place, nor any reason to believe you went to the place. But you probably did go there at some point.
All I remember otherwise is the odd meeting every once and a while. And drinking. I remember the drinking I had done in the past. ^

"Vetina huh? That name does sound familiar? Where have I heard it before?" Celeste wondered aloud trying to see if she remembered anyone by that name.
"That's right. Magna mentioned something about you being the one who harvested data from her for analysis. Though I'm pretty sure that he is just full of s***." Mel stated.
"Is that so?" Celeste thought about it harder for a bit more before. She now wished she could just remember why that name sounded familiar. This Vetina digimon had Mel and even Cuttah talking about her. Sadly, "Nope. Can't say I remember anyone by the name Vetina."
"So he was lying." Mel scowled, "That little conniving scum bag. He f***ing lied in hopes that Vetina would fight against us."
"He might not have?"
"Huh?"
"He might not have. I was in-between so many projects at one time that it's hard for me to keep all the details straight. So it's completely possible that I was involved harvesting data from her and I just don't remember doing it." She answered with a small shrug.
"Is that so? Just do me a favor, and not tell her that."
"Why not?"
"Let's just say that data harvesting event essentially became your classic revenge story. And if she believes that not only were you involved, but had also forgotten all about it, she may flip out." Mel warned.
"Alright then. I think I have our plan." Crystal said with a snap of her fingers as she sat up, "Before we met you, while I still didn't have my memories, Pure and I travelled around the world to jog my memories. I propose we do the same thing for you."
She quickly shifted herself so that she was now closer to Sanoske's head. All excited about her plan.
"You mentioned you have faint memories of where you've gone. So we can use those to navigate to where you've been and create new memories. The type you won't forget." She held her hands out and looked through a square she made with them. If only she were bigger, then she could show this off to Sanoske as well. "Plus who knows how many cool sights you could have missed while you were in your autonomous robot mode. What do you say?"

"I wouldn't worry too much about it." Lezard said after Mel warned her about it.
"Well... not saying to not worry, just not worry too much. Rippah told me what happened... that there was some... question about whether or not Vetina would have destroyed you."[/close]
Of course, Rippah didn't tell Lezard and Cuttah that Mel left them the way he did. Thee was more than enough tension going around.
"But, to be fair, I probably wouldn't want to be probed and extracted from. Maybe not enough to destroy someone but, well, Vetina's quite the curious one. --- Sanoske seemed to automatically smile when hearing Crystal get excited. Her plan seemed quite interesting as well.
^I admit, I have no desire to jog old memories. But that does sound fun, making new memories. It would not be too hard to figure that I missed out on a lot. So, yes, I would indeed be up for that, honey.^

"It was worse then that apparently. The result of that data extraction was what gave us the amalgamate we know as Vetina today." Pure explained, deciding to not give any specifics, "Trust me when I say that she has more then enough reason to seek revenge on the one who caused her so much pain."
"Is that so?" Celeste asked as she seemed to get more somber. The mood quickly past however as she then calmly stated, "Oh well. Nothing we can do about it now. If she truly wanted to kill me, I doubt there's anything I could say or do to convince her otherwise."
"Are you serious ri..."
"Besides she had the opportunity to kill me before and didn't, right? So either she isn't certain yet that I'm the one who she's truly after, or she's not the cold-blooded psychopath that Mel here thinks everyone is? My bet is a combination of the two." She exclaimed with a small shrug.
"But just to be clear. You weren't actually involved, were you?"
"I already told you Mel. I don't remember. My memory is still pretty fuzzy on a lot of things. Though I think that's to be expected as I only just woke up from... How long have I been out for?"
"Uhh... A few months at least." Mel answered, obviously uncertain if that was true or not.
"You weren't... Ugh... Look who I'm talking to. Of course you didn't keep track." She let loose a tired sigh. She should have expected as much.
"Hey. Don't you dare play that card on me. You know as damn well as I do how difficult it is to keep track of time when I have several projects that all needed to be done as soon as possible."
"Fantastic. Then now all we got to do is get Pure's feedback on the idea and we can head on our way." Crystal stated in a cheerful tone. Notably not mentioning anything about bringing this up with Mel or Celeste as well.
"There you go Sanoske. You wanted to know where we're heading next, and now you have your answer. Now we just have to figure out one little thing. Where exactly should we start this journey of ours? Any ideas?"

"Amalgamate? Hmm..."
Lezard thought back on Vetina. He did note that her appearance was strange. Not only strange, but she also looked like some combination of a Palmon and Gabumon, or something like that. So while she was a Hylden, she was, indeed, a different sort of Hylden. That info solved one question and made a few others in Lezard's mind.
However, Lezard also had a few more choice words for Mel.
"You know, I get that, as we are all a bunch of nerds... except Cuttah, we can tend to lose track of time for a period due to research and whatnot. But, really, for someone who was dead set on rescuing your sister one of the last things I'd hope you not forget is keeping track of time. I thought time would be the foremost thing on your mind.
You need to work on time management and keeping track of said time.
As for Vetina, whether or not Celeste did... whatever she did to Vetina, she knows about it, and she had the chance to kill you but didn't. At this point there's no need to worry about it... I'm pretty certain Vetina could take out all of us if she chose to."
-----
Sanoske had thought about the first place they could go to. However, he had paid little mind as to where he was in relation to the entire Digital world. But he did have an idea...
^Well... The only clue I can come up with off the top of my head are... places with lots of beer.
...I drank a lot as a coping mechanism. Probably got a few... unpaid tabs to my name as well. I just... if we need to go back to a bar I will try not to... uh... fall back into drinking.
I... probably drunk far more than you might think back then...^
All this talk of booze was uncovering old urges, and Sanoske was a bit nervous because of that.
