A Veedramon hefted up a box, filled with delicate silverware, handed down to a Monodramon, who took it and marched into a building, and lightly plopped it down onto the counter of the apparent kitchen. He emerged, expecting a new box from his work partner, the two had worked together for a few years now, and built up a mutual respect for each other, Veedramon's muscle was undoubtedly more useful than Monodramon, though Monodramon showed intense passion for completing these tasks, that Veedramon couldn't help but admire, and voluntarily stuck with him through thick and thin. The bulky Dramon dropped a box filled with disassembled wooden chairs, before grunting, "Hey," Monodramon glanced up, wavering under the weight, "yeah?" He replied, quickly and getting to the point, "You hear about that Elecmon?" Veedramon asked, gruffly, as he followed Monodramon, until his body couldn't fit through the doorway, "The crazy one with a death wish?" Monodramon asked, as he clunked the box down, walking back out, rotating his arms, relieving the stress from his wireframe, "yeah, that's the one." Veedramon replied, reaching into the house, dropping another box into his friend's arms, as Monodramon walked upstairs with a deconstructed bed, "What about him?" he called from above, "from what I hear, he's still alive, fightin' that monster in Byte cave." The champion level explained, struggling to pull his head from the doorway, his horns getting caught. "You serious?" The rookie asked, not bothering with an answer before continuing, "Is that bounty really worth it? He's only a rookie!"
Veedramon nodded, as Monodramon reached up his horn, dislodging him, casually, "I know, but I hear he's still alive, never thought a rookie could put up such a fight." Some might have been offended by this, but Monodramon understood his point, "that's crazy, man. Even YOU wouldn't last that long against that THING." Monodramon muttered, shaking his head, in disbelief, as they continued unloading.

So this town was something else, Dust had never paid a visit to this place, the area itself was never that good for the Beelzemon since he normally didn't care that much for the hot desert air, that and the fact he almost got blown up set things up for a not so fun time in the desert. Though that wasn't why he was hear today, he had come into town looking for Luna, who herself got lost somehow on the way to Terminus city, how in the digital world she managed to do that, the amnesiac had no answers. Eventually he tracked her down and she was now they were just waiting for one more person, but even so this did little to help the Beelzemon's nerves.
Though from his position he accidentally overheard someone talking, he wasn't paying that much attention until he heard bounty and rookie. Though Dust simply scoffed at this wondering who would do such a thing as a rookie, sure you might seem great if you can manage but it'd most likely end in one thing, your death. Dust was going to ignore it till he noticed his partner in crime going near the place, she seemed worried at this. The Dianamon looked at the two near the building. "Uhh excuse me, where exactly is this Byte cave?" Though that alone Dust could easily tell it was her. "Luna what are you doing?" He mumbled to himself but didn't go interrupt, for all he knew they wouldn't tell her.

The two glanced towards the voice, before they gaped, Monodramon almost dropping the box of glassware, Veedramon stepped into what he assumed was the safe distance from her scythe, what would a mega-level be doing in a dump like this? Veedramon was the first to speak, "Ah... you after the bounty?" He asked, eyeing her weaponry, undoubtedly, she was ultimate level or even higher. Monodramon stepped up, "From what I hear, it's just a rumor, no one actually wants to pay to get rid of the thing, cause it rarely leaves it's cave, alright? It'd be a waste of time, for someone 'strong as you." He explained, noticing the Beelzemon just nearby. They needed to be careful, two virus mega levels? They might just level the town if they so choosed.

Luna shook her head. "No, if that rookie is in trouble I got to go help, he could end up hurt or worse." Luna exclaimed, Dust sighed before walking over to Luna giving a small shrug. "Never been interested in doing things for cash anyway, just tell us where it is." Despite his gruff voice and looks he sounded quite calm, trying to not come across as a threat as he normally does. "Aww thanks Dust, but you don't have to help me." Dust shook his head at Luna. "You'd get lost along the way to the place, then I'd have to find you. It just saves time." He pointed out.
"When someone's life might be on the line I can do anything and you know it." Luna then remembered she was talking to them. "Oh, so yeah where is it. Even if they rarely leave it'd be bad if they did, so much easier just to deal with the problem now, right?" Two virus types willing to help without getting paid? Was the world being turned upside down.

The two glanced at each other, before shrugging, "alright, if you're that dedicated, just head towards those mountains, the cave entrance is on the other side, on that third ridge," Monodramon pointed, as Veedramon lifted him up to their level, pointing at a small, but incredibly angular mountain range, "Honestly, it's a miracle this guy managed to get there to begin with." Veedramon muttered, looking at the treacherous cliffs, one massively clawed paw stroking his lower jaw. Monodramon hopped off his friend's paw, hopping off of his broad shoulders to the ground, thinking about how rare this kind of experience was, shaking his head, "Though, if possible, try keeping the mountains intact, they're a pretty important landmark, all right?" Monodramon requested, raising his arms, to accentuate the shape of the mountains, "yeah, And in this kind of climate, even landmarks are important" Veedramon concurred.

Dust looked over at the mountain range, he questioned exactly how the rookie went up there but he supposed when he was a Impmon he went to impossible places also. "Alright then, thanks for the information." Dust said walking over to the middle of the street, with a wave of his hand his bike appeared before him as he got on, making sure the road was clear. "Don't worry, we ain't gonna blow it up, got a good record of managing with the least amount of damage possible." Dust pointed out before he started driving away. Luna watched before waving. "Yeah no worries, see ya later." Luna said floating off the ground before she quickly went flying after Dust.
Dust and Luna would head over to the area as fast as they could, with Luna carrying Dust up to where the cave would be on the mountain, since he couldn't fly, and it was much easier then walking or driving up the side of a friggen mountain.

the two resumed work, just staring at each other, awkwardly, as the two moved at almost impossible speed towards the mountain. Just outside of the cavern, a small campfire burned, as a lone elecmon sat, one of his forepaws wrapped in a hastily made sling, and his right ear crooked and bent in an awkward direction, this didn't seem to bother him too much as he cooked a small bit of soup over the fire, "Tomorrow." he muttered to himself, nodding, before his working ear quirked up, as he noticed something coming. He stood, awaiting the arrival, When the two arrived, he stood, on his back legs as he waddled towards the two mega levels. He showed next to no worry from their appearance, "What do you want?" He asked, staring them directly in the eyes, showing no fear or hesitation in addressing them.

Luna was the first to go up, holding the Beelzemon in her arms as she went near the ledge, and dropped him on the ground. "Jeez thanks for that Luna." Dust said standing up and dusting his jacket off. "I couldn't help it, you're heavy Dust." She complained landing gracefully next to him. Dust looked the Elecmon in the eyes as well crossing his arms. "So, you must be the rookie they mentioned, we heard that someone came up this mountain for a bounty of sorts, so my companion wanted to come assist that person, in case they were in over their head." Dust explained, and since this was the only rookie around he kinda assumed this was the digimon in question.
Luna walked near the digimon noticing the crooked ear and forepaws wrapped up. "Are you ok? I can heal you if you want." Luna offered holding her hand out collecting some power within her open palm. "It takes a second for me to gather the strength but it'll get you back to a hundred percent in a second or two." Luna told him already focusing the power.
Dust also looked over the Elecmon, with the sling and ear it seemed like he had been through some stuff. "Did you already encounter the so called 'Monster' We heard about." Dust asked calmly looking a quick view around, he couldn't go by anything but what he heard so he seemed a bit indifferent about calling it a monster, after all there were more then a few who thought the same of him.

"Bounty?" He spat, shaking his head, "Speculation of townspeople." He explained, dismissively. HE seemed entirely dismissive of the two, until Luna offered to heal him, he turned, "restoring my health would be appreciated." He nodded, seeing worth in only that gesture, his fur was matted and scratched, as well, he listened to Dust, "Key word in that sentence being 'So-called'," he stated, politely, "I have this under control, I'm making good progress without help." He explained, walking over to the Dianamon, "I request your assistance in restoring my body. Nothing more, is that fair?" He asked, again, nodding his head in respect.

"Figured it wouldn't be anything like that." After all even when he heard that Dust didn't think a rookie would go through the trouble of finding and destroying a monster. Luna nodded gathering more energy in her hand before expelling it all at once. "Final Heal." She said as the energy went through the Elecmon, her and Dust all at once, but Dust and her wouldn't be effected by the skill. However the rookie would have all his wounds at once vanish, like nothing had hit him before.
Dust heard what he said. "So you're saying the townspeople have blown this out of proportion? Or are you saying you're helping the So-called beast calm themselves." Dust asked obviously not about to back down from this. "I ain't going to sit by, specially after walking in on you like this, not in my nature." Dust said with conviction, but noticeable he wasn't talking about the monster themselves.
Luna let her hand down after using the skill before nodding. "If you're making good progress in, whatever it is you're doing. Then you'll make even better progress with our help, three is better then one after all." It was a, simple way of understanding the situation but one all the same. "Plus if you got messed up I can heal you again, pretty easy to do so I'm quite good at it." That was another reason, can't help anyone if you're dead.

After receiving the energy, he withdrew his arm from his sling, then taking it off from around his shoulder, before placing one of his paws on his shoulder, tilting his head as a powerful crack could be heard, he then cracked his newly healed arm back into comfort, and turned, "It's a far more delicate task than you two can comprehend. Put simply, I only have use in your healing capabilities. Do not follow me." he ordered, returning to his four-legged stance as he padded back into the cave, his feathered tail completely down, his confidence was either incredibly brave or laughably foolish, either way, he has indeed survived this far. In almost no time, he vanished from view. A minute later, a monstrous roar could be heard as the cavern entrance rumbled and shook, as the sounds of stone scraping against metal roared from the entrance into the mountain.

Dust watched as he walked away, before turning around and walking the other direction with a shrug. Luna looked back at Dust then over at the area and back at him. "Dust, where are you going?" She questioned walking after him. With a light shrug Dust simply looked back at her. "If he wants to do this it's his choice, aside from that he insulted me and while I don't care much for his opinion of me, It isn't exactly the thing that makes me want to rush to his aid." Dust continued walking before Luna grabbed his arm. "But Dust he might get hurt, or worse." Luna said before tugging him towards the cave. "If you love me you'll follow him." Dust sighed as he was dragged by the Dianamon towards the cave.
"Thanks for forcing me into a Ultimatum Luna, real great." Dust said sarcastically. "But this is another piece of evidence you really love me." She pointed out while walking into the cave. Dust stopped her though before walking towards it. "Stay here for a second Luna." Dust silently made his way through the cave, quiet enough not to be heard. While also some strange part of him prevented him from being sensed from enemies or allies alike, using this hidden ability to his advantage he sneaked through the cave in order to observe what was going on.

The Elecmon somehow evaded the assaults of the Goliath Blackwargrowlmon, who swiped it's metal claws and whiplike extension, as the rookie was actually predicting where it would strike from it's movements, and evaded the assault the moment the movement started, coupling that with the thing's wrath and blind fury, it made evading it possible for even a digimon who was inferior in every physical way. The Elecmon shouted, drowned out by the grinding stone and roars of the beast, as it could barely register his small size, much less strike him, and he always stayed within too close a range for it to fire it's Atomic Blaster. His voice almost indiscernible, as he was obviously shouting himself hoarse. Oddly enough, his fur held no hint of electric charge, and his tail stayed flattened down, and he showed no signs of aggression, just evading the monster's ferocious attacks.

Dust kept his position hidden and watched the battle between the massive Ultimate and the small rookie, with the former being a wild and feral beast while the latter was organized and seemed to predict the things wild fury it was a bad match up, even so Elecmon showed no signs of attacking, which is he did he would most likely be done within seconds, it would be able to tank anything Elecmon could throw at him. Dust sighed knowing exactly what the Elecmon was doing, he was trying to talk him down and get him back to his senses. Though considering the knowledge that he showed the digimon must know that if it was defeated in battle it would be reborn, but that was something Dust knew might backfire, and the rookie must of known also.
With a sigh Dust simply walked out in the open of the battle ground, hands empty without his weapons. "So that's what you're up too, well if you think you can do it then." Dust said tossing his guns away on the ground nearby. "Guess I'm doing this, you owe me for this Luna."
"Get back, I'll distract him. You talk him down." Like Elecmon Dust showed no signs of being aggressive to the digimon, but being bigger Dust was another target for the WarGrowlmon, a better target even. "If you think you can do this, I'll trust you." Dust shrugged prepared to block and dodge the massive digimon.

"..." Elecmon stopped yelling, and the monster stopped, too, it examined the newcomer, stepping further into the cavern, it's pupils contracted incredibly tightly, it stopped it's roaring, replacing it with a gutteral growling, the Elecmon landed, breathing heavily, glancing towards the mega level, before slowly making his way to his side. He dropped to all fours, approaching the beast silently, sitting down, at a range of around 20 metres away. He spoke in a firm, yet soothing voice. "You. You are frightened. And alone." he stated, which made the monster flinch, but not attack. Elecmon stepped forward, continuing, slowly and clearly. "I imagine that's how it has been your entire life, hasn't it?" he asked, before finally his steely gaze fell away, and he glanced at the ground, again recalling the major flaw he runs into on every one of these missions, "I cannot begin to imagine what you have struggled through. I have had comrades, close friends supporting me. You have only ever had yourself, haven't you? All your life you've been feared and tossed aside, even though the only thing you have done is be born into this world. For all of this, I am truly sorry." The ultimate level digimon blinked, still defensive, though it peered around, still looking for something it could understand; something to kill, something to struggle against. It found none. And, for the first time, it stared at the newcomer, getting a look at his expression, something unlike anything he has ever seen before. "But." Elecmon stated, standing onto his hind legs, "This doesn't need to be the case. I have met countless like yourself, and I can help you. Now, take off that monstrous form. Show me who you really are." he ordered. The digimon blinked a few times, now visibly uncomfortable, as it glowed, the reduced to it's champion state, when it did so, Elecmon gave a broad smile, "almost there, you can do it." he assured the virus, nodding his head, as it glowed again, and changed into a BlackGuilmon, and walked up to him, sniffing him. Elwcmon raised a paw, and said, "congratulations. You are strong enough to trust something, despite the countless pains you have faced. Now, it is customaru for friends to shake hands." he explained, his voice barely disguising his own mirth. The now shivering rookie level took his paw, before being dragged into a hug. He stiffened, but soon realized this wasn't a hostile movement, and relaxed.
