Timothy was on his way down the road when his new bike started making some not-normal sounds. It might've been obtained in the Digital World, but it still worked just like a human one. It also looked a million and a half times cooler. He parked at a parking space and pulled out his phone, looking for a nearby shop that could possibly help out. He eventually spotted a mechanic's store not too far away. Bibi and Faluo were still in their new little hiding place Timothy called his Digivice, it really made it easy to travel in. He put his phone away and drove towards the mechanic's shop.
Upon arriving, he drove up to the parking space, still getting that bad sound that made him worry and parked. He knocked on the front door, saying, "Hello? I need a bike repaired." He made sure to tuck in his Digivice into his jacket sleeve and hopefully the bike would be kept relatively secret. Mekanorimon sure gave him a cruddy ride...

It had been a long time since he had actually done any hard work on anything in the human world. Not many customers had been coming by and he was in a bit of a bind as far as funding went. He was sitting idly in his shop when a knocking at his shop door brought his attention forward.
Why wouldn't they just come in? Were they being polite or something? Well he wasn't really one to argue with any potential customers or question their ways of introducing themselves. All he really could do was just... deal with the strange ones as they came. Getting up from his seat he'd come to the entry of his shop; idly running hands along his counter-tops. Opening the door he'd raise his eyebrows upon seeing the youth.
"A bike repaired? What sort of bike? Motorized or pedal...?"
He wasn't really going to turn away either type of bike; he had the tools to fix both and the experience to do so.

Timothy looked to the man and said, "Motorized, got it about a month ago and don't really know what I'm doing yet and I think something broke because about... Three miles away? Really bad sounds came and I was thinking 'Oh no, that sounds bad.' Soooo Yeah... I have no clue what the problem is and I need help." That was the single most awkward explanation he had ever done... He really needs to hang out with more people than just Katsura on an active basis...
He pointed to the really high tech-looking bike behind him and said, "That's the one." It would look waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too nice for a teenager. He totally knew that this was gonna look suspicious, but digital bikes that look really cool need to be fixed and he had to get it done... He should've just gone to Mekanorimon, would've been a lot less suspicious then...

Kan tilted his head slightly during the explanation; so the bike was new. The person driving it didn't really know what they were doing... and in short something now was wrong. The story of many a break down and another reason why kan didn't really like vehicles as mode of transport compared to your wings or ability to levitate was never really in question. Though in the human world.. It'd have to do for the most part.
"Sounds like you were shifting incorrectly; but I'd need to take a look at it..."
He'd follow the teenagers finger to where the bike was parked; eyebrows shot up as the rather nice motorized bike was not what he was expecting. He was expecting something low tier, easy replace. But here... Sat something he hadn't seen before; he wasn't up to date on many a vehicle. Was this a new prototype that maybe was released recently? Or was this something else?
"Parents rich or something?"
He'd ask curiously; going over to the bike. It was obvious that he was curious; he tilted his head again glancing back at the teenager.
"We'll have to bring it inside; I don't charge to just look at what's wrong. It'll be the fix it portion that'll likely cost more. If you're okay with that at least.
He was itching to take a look at this bike; something was off. He was curious and there was likely to be a good amount of money made from just repairing this thing once. Though he wasn't the sort to needlessly charge someone for complicated machinery. This was a repair job and it was his job to simply make the fix. He wasn't like most service stations; or any repair person on the face of the human world.

Timothy nodded, he knew he was probably doing something wrong, and that made sense. He saw the man's eyebrows raise a little, then answered the question, "Nah, I bought it myself. I'm... Really good at math, and economics and financing are too far off from that... So I used my Dad to play the stock market, with his help on getting started." It wasn't a complete lie, he was good a math, but he never played the stock market, nor did he ever do any economic or financing stuff, ever.
He nodded to the man and went over to the bike, rolling it into the garage. He already liked this guy more than most businesses, his wallet was only loaded recently because for almost the past year, he's been doing Digimon stuff rather than normal person stuff, he was a walking encyclopedia now. Once inside, he nodded to the man, saying, "Thanks. By the way."

"Smart way of doing things then. You'll make a good impact when you're older if you keep that up."
He'd eye the bike curiously; watching the youth go over to it. Even going so far to roll it into his garage. It made dealing with the vehicle easy, you never knew how much the owner would be comfortable with the mechanics doing to their rides. Even if they were the ones taking care of it or fixing it.. They often didn't want them to drive them even that short distance.
He'd move to close the garage door; flipping the neon sign that was to the side of it to signify that this space was taken. He didn't get many vehicle requests but sometimes they did come around the same time. He'd start getting all the diagnostic equipment set up, kneeling next to the bike with a flat expression looking at the build so he could perhaps start figuring out what was actually wrong rather than guesswork.
"No problem."
I don't recognize this type of build, it's got to be something new.
"I suppose it'd be ill manners for me not to introduce myself, Kan's the name."
He started by checking the gauges of the diagnostic equipment, getting low readings here and there but that was to be expected with the vehicle not actually on...

Timothy gave a friendly smile, honestly, playing stocks probably wasn't too hard, he could get away with it if he felt like it. He began to watch the man work, curiously, but never forgetting to respond, "Thanks. I try." He leaned back, continuing to watch the man work, not intruding at all because he'd have no knowledge and would get in the way.
When Kan introduced himself, Timothy realized he had yet to and felt a little silly. He probably should've done that earlier. He calmly responded, "I'm Timothy. Nice to meet you.

With a small snort he'd hook the bike into the stand he had for them. It would allow the bike to run and stay in place even if you were to try to drive it off. A mix of a safety measure and payment measure as releasing it could potentially damage the bike if done improperly.
"Might have to take some classes in high school or college if you want to keep that up."
He'd start to check zone by zone of the bike, starting from the front wheel all the way to the back wheel. Looking for anything that might be stuck or perhaps something that was misaligned that was obvious. He didn't see anything immediately which made him frown slightly. Though his frown turned upwards as the youth responded with his name.
"A pleasure I'm sure. Doesn't look like anything is directly out of place, nothing seems to be jammed on the outside. So I'm going to have to crack the case open. But first could you please start the vehicle so I can hear this sound? That way I can identify where it's coming from."
Something still bothered him though; where had the youth gotten this bike? He was still going over things in his head and something just seemed odd. Figuring it wouldn't hurt to ask...
"If you don't mind me asking where did you get this bike? It's already unlike anything I've ever seen."

Timothy calmly handed Kan the keys, then continued observing. He had no clue what any of this stuff meant and had to just go off of what he said. He nodded at the prospect of taking a class in the near future, "That would be a good idea..."
When Kan asked where Timothy got the bike from, he slipped up a moment, saying, "Oh I got it from Mekanori... Co. They're a newer company with really nice bikes, yeah." Maybe he looked like a fool for buying from newer company, but that was better than revealing the Digital World to a stranger. That was waaay too close as is, he really should've just gone to Mekanorimon about the issue...

"Of course high school classes don't really amount to the same as college.. but that's because you're actually paying for them.."
He'd snort a little bit and accept the keys; moving to turn on the bike. He would have to wait to hear the sound now; if it wasn't during the idly phases he'd have to shift the bike up in order to get anywhere.
Maybe i can look up the...
He'd pause for a moment swearing he was about to hear something that he shouldn't have. Mekanori Co? That sounded suspicious as all hell. He'd frown slightly and shake his head; the chances of bumping into yet another digital world goer was unlikely. There couldn't be that many around here really.
That sounds so close to a digimon that it's uncanny.
Shifting the bike into a higher gear the mechanic waited; it wasn't apparent in lower gears... But maybe it was in higher gears that the problem lay? Shifting further he'd let out a snort as there was a problem between gears. It'd have to be in the gearbox that his problem lay; which in itself would take a little bit of time. He'd of course make sure of the problem in itself; by shifting between the two gear. He'd turn the bike off and shake his head.
".....Looks like it's a problem with your gearbox, that just means we'll need to replace the gears. But when one goes it's likely the others will. I'd rather not have to replace the whole box, so hopefully the problem lay in the gears on the inside. Considering it's a newer model parts should still be in rotation. So it should be easy to get; that and if they don't have them it's not like I couldn't find something that'd be a close match."
He'd shake his head again; taking a gamble. If they knew of the digital world they'd recognize the name; if they didn't they'd get really confused and he'd just pass it off as a mispronunciation.
"I wouldn't of trusted Mekanori Co; even if they were newer. I would of Gone with Hiandro Co myself; expensive but certainly worth it.

Timothy nods to Kan as he mentions how college classes are better, though he is only looking for the basics. A high school class should be able to give that. He was still lost as to what was going on, but it did seem to go down to the mechanisms down below. With time, Kan mentioned it being the gearbox.
Soon after though, Kan mentioned a HiAndro Co... Timothy caught on quick and smirked a little, looks like this person knew about Digimon too. He needed to be safe though, Hagurumon would stick to their theme, if he caught onto this one, then he definitely knew about Digimon. Timothy would calmly say, "I looked at Hiandro Co, but Haguru Inc was the next on my list of places to check if Mekanori Co didn't have what I want."

"Though to be fair I won't know if it is actually the gearbox till I take a look. It could always be something else; but that's what my job is all about. Finding what's wrong and making it right."
He wasted little time getting the appropriate tools to pull the cover of where he figured the gearbox was. Judging by the sounds and what not that had come from the general area. He was quickly rewarded with the view of the box along with everything else that went hand in hand with it.
"But now you're just downgrading, they'd barely be able to do anything this nice.
I mean they don't even have hands, how'd they be able to even make something like this?
"I would of taken Guardro Inc over them, at least they're consistent."
He'd shake his head, setting the cover to the gearbox and the cover to the bike itself to the side. It was obvious he was being incredibly careful; though that was more than likely part of just how he handled his job. He'd take a moment and inspect the gears, slowly taking the two rods out; the mass of gears interlocking making it fairly easy to do so.
"This design is incredibly streamlined, normal construction would have it catching all over the darn place. I'll be checking each of the gears and inside the 'box'."
He'd of course eye the gears, taking a long moment going over the first few. Like he thought it wasn't the early gears that would be the problem. Looking down the line a bit, he could see the gradual wear and tear; whomever used this bike before either drove it incredibly fast or never expected the person purchasing it to do so.
"did you purchase this used or brand new?"

Timothy smirked, he now knew that Kan knew about Digimon and was certain of it. He was glad that the person he found just so happened to be another person who knew. He calmly heard through all of Kan's comments before replying, "Heh, got me there, though I bet Machinedra Corp would make some good equipment, they're basically war machines as is." At this point, it was a game to him.
He then heard the next question, used or new? He took a moment to think, but then said, "I got it ever so slightly used from Mekanorimon at Terminus." He wasn't gonna bother pretending that the other person didn't know still. He chuckled to himself, thinking to himself at the coincidences and odds of this happening.

"Means anything they'd sell you would be very durable. Though nothing as fancy as this I'd imagine."
He'd snort again placing the gears down on one of the trays nearby; he'd have to check if he had anything similar to them. It wouldn't take too much to do. Even if he didn't have anything he could order the parts from somewhere. But the issue did lay if nothing was similar he might have to take a trip to the digital world... just to see if someone had a part there. He wasn't anticipating not finding something similar though.
"The gears seem very worn out; like that it was only driven at high speeds. Since all the lower gears were basically untouched. I don't know where it came from before that, or what it was doing but it wasn't exactly... what I was expecting. It'd explain the issues you were having. The sound was likely from it trying to stay in gear but... it kept sliding over."
He'd brush his hands off on a towel; going over to the computer he had in the garage. It was basically only there for him to look up parts and what not. It also had a list of parts that he had on the base of the computer for easy reference.
"So what do you do? Tamer? Spirit? Dare I say a digimon in hiding?"

Timothy nodded, pretending to understand what any of that gear stuff meant. He really needed some lessons on this stuff... He looked at the gears being removed and could kinda understand how the thing functioned. It went up and down the gears based on what gear he was on, and it sounded like they were worn... That'll probably happen again with how he was going to be driving this thing at times, he wasn't ever really safe.
Then the question came, the "what are you?" question. Timothy held out his left arm and showed the little watch on his wrist. He then said, "Tamer, I have twins. A Biyomon and a Falcomon. One's silly and the other's a heavy planner. Got them hiding in my digivice right here." An 8-bit Biyomon and Falcomon wander the tiny screen, easily staying hidden from sight due to looking like a mere toy.
