Not an Excuse to Blow Stuff up, We swear! (Dante, Marshal)

Aloha! Summer is finally here, and Tamers and Digimon alike are flocking to the beach for some fun in the sun. Dante and Wormmon are ready to kick back after their last mission. They've even convinced Dante's sister Judith to tag along, seeing as how they are going on a fun beach trip, rather than somewhere dangerous. And she fills out her yellow and black bikini nicely. Dante lays some towels down on the beach and lays back. He takes off his shirt to soak up some rays. Judith comes walking over from the beach bar with some lemonades. She hands one to her brother.

Wormmon is wearing sunglasses, with sun screen all over his face, and a super tiny black speedo on his abdomen. He grabs a shovel and pail out of the bag and starts digging in the sand. "Oh ya, time to build the biggest, bestest sandcastle on the beach! Hoo haa!" Wormmon starts digging around frantically, kicking up sand at Dante and Judith while they are drinking their lemonade. "Hey! Watch it." "Can't you do that somewhere else?" "But I wanna build a mini mansion. Craptoe le Worm King." Judith and Dante both look at each other, realizing that Wormmon didn't quite get that name right.

Yes, it was a good time of year. The never ending winter is finally finished, and Dante's excited for all sorts of things this summer. Even if Wormmon would rather just sit on the couch and play video games for 3 months straight. Dante grabs his cigarettes out of the bag and lights one up. "Do you have to blow smoke right in my face?" "What? We're on the beach. Who cares?" "I doubt anyone else appreciates your smoke." More and more beach goers are arriving. "Fine, I'll just go for a walk. Nag nag nag..." Dante walks around the beach, puffing his cigarette with one hand and drinking mlemonade with the other. Suddenly he recognizes a familiar face. He sees Timothy sitting underneath a palm tree, and walks over to talk to him. "Hey, Timothy!"

Dante walks over to talk to Timothy and Faluo. It has been a while since their previous adventures. The twins had proven to be quite formidable even at lower levels, and now they had gotten even stronger. "Oh, you know. Just out here to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Maybe even see some beautiful ladies. Plus it's good for Wormmon to get out of the house once in a while." Dante takes a big gulp of lemonade. "Have you guys been over to the snack bar yet? I bet Wormmon's going to break my budget once he finds out they have pizza."


Judith continues laying there in the sun. Wormmon is working on his sand structures. For such a little hellraiser he's actually pretty creative when he puts his mind to it. He crawls down to the water with his bucket and brings back water for his little lake. Upon completion, he crawls on top of a little sand throne to appreciate his work. "Ahh, hail to the king! Wha ha haa!" Wormmon looks around at the other sandcastles, thinking that his is so much better. "This is pretty fun, but I think destruction and mayhem would be even more fun!"

Judith does her best to ignore the little psycho. She releases the tension in her muscles and relaxes until her arms and legs feel like jelly. (Thinking) "Now this is a good reason to come to the digital world. No battles, plenty of food, nothing to do but kick back." Wormmon continues to cackle maniacally and plot his hostile takeover of the other sandcastles. "Would you knock it off? I'm trying to unwind." "What? You're winded up? Here I'll help you feel better." Wormmon jumps off his throne and lands on Judith's belly. The Worm King bounces up and down. "Stop that! You're gonna give me indigestion." "Incantation?" Judith grabs Wormmon and sticks him under her head, using him as a pillow. "Ah no! The great and powerful Worm King is not a pillow! I am not amused!"

Dante continued catching up with Timothy and the twins. Apparently they had come to the beach before the big rush. Dante imagines what it would be like to have the whole beach to themselves. Nothing but sand, water, and sunshine for miles. Still, Dante can't help but shake the feeling that they are being watched. Little did he know, but a pack (Herd? School? Gang? Team?) of wild Seadramon were lurking off in the water, plotting their ensuing destruction. Dante asks to try one of the berries. "Mmm, that's actually really good! I wonder if we could make berry smoothies."

Judith continues to lay in the sun. She's getting some good color, and decides to check out what else there is to do on the beach. She sits up and picks up a half deflated Wormmon. "Oww... my butt hurts. Need food." "We'll find something to eat, Wormmon. Let's check out the rest of the beach. I hope there's some totally hot hunks." "Is that all you think about is guys?" "Well what else is there to think about?" "Girls, violence, mayhem, food, explosions, video games, and world peace." Judith is caught off guard by that last one. "World peace, eh? So there is a side of you that wants the world to get along." "Oh no, I feel threatened by world peace. I don't need a bunch of pushovers interfering with my symphony of destruction!"

Judith walks along the beach carrying the little bug eyed future dictator. She sees Dante and walks over. Wormmon's eyes bug out when he sees the twins. "Oh my Goddess! Hey you guys!" "Ah Wormmon, I'm glad you are here." Dante takes a closer look. "What's the matter, buddy?" Wormmon is starting to turn red from all the exposure to the sun. "Oh nothing. I'm just feeling a little itchy." "At least your face has all that sunscreen. Why don't you put it on the rest of your body before you become completely roasted?" "There's no time for that. We haven't seen Timothy and the twins in a while. Gotta catch up on the good times!"

Dante puts his hands on his hips and shakes his head. "Sorry, but I don't want you complaining the whole ride home." Judith starts putting sunscreen on Wormmon. "Ah no! Stop what you're doing! You're embarrassing me in front of my buds!" "Oh hush up you big baby." Wormmon wiggles and flaps around trying to squirm away. He crawls up Judith's arm and onto her back. "Deal with my newest move, Super Flash Attack!" Wormmon pulls the strand on the back of Judith's bikini top and takes it off. Judith quickly covers her chest. "You little bug bastard!" Wormmon jumps off and starts crawling across the sand with Judith's top. Dante averts his eyes and tries to stop himself from gagging in disgust. "Ha ha ha! No breast is safe from the Worm King. Let that be a lesson to respect my authority!"

Once again, Wormmon was stirring up trouble. First refusing to put on sunscreen like a spoiled child, and then causing a wardrobe malfunction. Dante chases Wormmon out into the water. They wrestle and splash around, Wormmon trying to get away, and Dante trying to get Judith's top back. Finally Wormmon lets go of the bikini and wriggles away. He kicks and kicks, trying to stay afloat in the water. He drifts too far out, and sees dark shadows looming off in the distance. "Oh crap crap crap crap!" Wormmon backtracks as fast as he can, swimming back to the shore and taking cover behind a sunbathing Shellmon.

Meanwhile Judith goes and procures a towel from one of the beach huts. Dante goes over to Wormmon and picks him up. "You're in big trouble this time, big trouble!" Wormmon shakes and shivers, partly because he is afraid of the lurking shadows, but also because the water is kind of cold. "D-Dant-t-taaaaay! B-b-b-big scary shadows!" "That's enough! You're coming with me." Dante walks back over to the gang. He hands Judith her top back. "You obnoxious little pervert! I'm gonna punt him into the ocean!" "NOOO! Not the ocean!" "Alright, let's get things situated and get back on track. I believe we were about to find a blender to make smoothies."

Dante and Judith grab their things and bring everything over to where Timothy and the twins are at. Judith's got her top back on, but she still has a towel wrapped around, and is feeling real nervous and jumpy because of earlier. Dante borrows a cat carrier from a beach going Beastmon, and locks up Wormmon inside. "There. Consider this a time out. Now you won't cause any more trouble, and you won't burn up in the sun." "But Dante!!! Let me out of here! The scary shadows!" " Just calm down for a while and I'll let you out. Then you can apologize to everyone and put on some sun screen." (Thinking) "Haha, Wormmon in a cat carrier. We should have thought of this years ago."

Wormmon frowns with his sideways mouth. Dante doesn't believe him about the shadows in the water. (Thinking) "Stupid Dante and Judith! First she uses me as a pillow, and now they are embarrassing me in front of Faluo and Bibi. And Dante won't listen to me about the scary shadows in the ocean! Oh mon... I hate the beach!" Dante turns his attention back to Timothy. He rubs the back of his head in nervousness. "Ha ha, sorry about all that. You know how Wormmon gets." Dante glances over at Judith, who gives him the stink eye. "Well, that's enough shenanigans. Let's get back to having fun!"

Wormmon's temporary incarceration didn't detract from the mood. Everyone's ready to make this a great day at the beach. "Ya, there's a lot of Digimon at the beach, but not many Tamers. Let's hope Digimon are not as rude as most people." Judith looks over at Dante. "Must your pessimism always shine through?" "Relax, sis. We're gonna get these berry smoothies started, and then I'm grilling up hamburgers and hot dogs." Dante pulls out a portable grill and takes some meat out of the ice chest.

Yes, things were looking up for the gang. However, even the best laid plans can go awry, as danger lurks on the horizon. Wormmon's warning had fallen on deaf ears, save Faluo, who began watching the waters. Bibi thinks the Worm King is making it up, and tells him he will have to try better. Wormmon just looks at Bibi through the tiny little bars on the cat carrier with sadness in his eyes. Like a little wet puppy dog. (Thinking) "Why don't they believe me? I hope Dante cooks those burgers soon."

With Wormmon detained, Judith feels comfortable enough to take the towel off. She lays down in the sun to soak up more rays. Dante is busy prepping the burgers and smoothies. "Hey Judith, can you help me with the lettuce?" Judith isn't paying attention. She takes out her phone and some headphones to listen to music. "Judith? Wow you're being so rude. Haven't you been laying in the sun enough? You're gonna be orange soon." "I don't roast as fast as you, Dante. For my skin, sunlight isn't a foreign element." "Easy now, I get plenty of sunlight." "Ya, when you stop playing video games long enough to smoke a cigarette." "What is with you? Just help with the burgers, please."

Wormmon is still cooped up in the cat carrier. Minutes feel like hours. Dante throws some patties on the grill, and Wormmon smells the aroma of sizzling burgers. (Thinking) "Mmm, so good. You guys better let me out of here soon. I bet you're gonna let me out right... now! No, now! Okay, and... now! Dang... this is so boring! How dare Dante put the Worm King on time out?!" Wormmon grabs the bars and starts shaking the door. "Bah, let me oooooout!!!" "Just a few more minutes, Wormmon. Believe me, I don't like seeing you this stressed out, but you just need to simmer down once in a while." (Thinking) "Stupid Dante... I bet Timothy doesn't put the twins through this garbage."

Dante and Timothy catch up with each other. "Ya, I haven't been playing Shirou's game much lately. We really need to go back in there and fix things. I mean, sure, you have to keep introducing stronger in game gear to keep people playing, but once you've already grinded hard to get the best gear several times, when you're back down to the bottom again it really highlights the futility." Perhaps their next adventure together would be going back in the game and taking down the new management.

The smoothies and burgers are all ready. Right as they are about to drink, Faluo sounds the alarm. Suddenly an armada of Seadramon rise up from the ocean, and unleash a massive surprise attack on the beach. Tidal waves crashing down at different areas, shacks being blown to pieces. Dante looks up at the Seadramon, awestruck by their presence. "Oh my Goddess! We need to take cover!" Dante lifts Judith up over his shoulder, grabs the cat carrier with his free hand and takes off away from the ocean. "Ah Dante what are you doing?! Put me down!" "No, save the burgers!"

The gang regroups further away from the shore. Dante sets Judith down and opens up the carrier. Wormmon jumps out and kisses the sand. "Sweet lady freedom!" "Now's not the time. We've got a big problem on our hands. I see at least four Mega level Digimon. There's a lot of Digimon on this beach, but most are lower level. How are we going to organize a defense against so many Seadramon?" "They are just a bunch of fish. We can fry em up!" "Those look more like sea monsters!" "Hey Dante, what if this is the time? What if I can finally go Mega?"

 Dante takes a look at his digivice. "It has been a long time since you've unlocked a higher stage. Maybe four Megas attacking will bring it out of you." Wormmon reaching Mega had been a touchy subject. Giving Wormmon's previous life before he was reborn, Dante was warned about his Mega form returning. However, against these odds that was the last thing on Dante's mind. Dante turns to Timothy. "Alright, we've gotta come out swinging. Focus on one place and divide their ranks." Wormmon forms a cocoon out of silk thread and digivolves to Stingmon. "Are you sure we will be safe here?" "Not for long. Just stick together and away from fighting."
