Trapped in Dark Area [Alicia/Invite]

Post by yuuki on Jun 13, 2017 10:32:00 GMT
It was morning. Yuuki is sleeping inside a Trailmon, having yet slept since yesterday. He wasn't feeling at all good, mainly after trying to look for base for his Organization. He haven't counted just how many trap he purposely tripped to see the security.. how many attempt he done to not caught up to it. Well, with HIkaru able to access Alphamon form, it gets easier, but... It's still annoying.
The train momentarily stopped at Terminus, then they'll go to the Binary Archipelago. Since this morning, there are news that the portals leading to Digital World and Real World is bit askew, so the only way of transportation would be through the Trailmon. Fortunately, it only happened at Digital Core. However, Yuuki was completely zoned out.. He didn't listen to the news at all.
He saw people slowly boarding the Trailmon that he boarded. Beside him, Hikaru is sleeping in his Dodomon form. Ah, well, let's hope that the journey would be pleasant!
...Little did he know, though, that it'd be some last time when he saw some people in this train.

“This. Is. Ridiculous.” Alicia spat with obvious frustration as she boarded the Trailmon. “I mean come on, I just finally get a hold of another option and then we have trouble shutting portals down? I want to be done with Trailmon rides one of these days! Ha...” Clearly the poor red head was upset as she took a seat and lounged back, closing her eyes.
Her dragon spirit adviser appeared and leaned his back against her, eyes closed. ”We’d managed to test it regardless. It back fired pretty badly so we would’ve run into trouble regardless. Kisara and I will need to see what we can do to patch the issue. I know this doesn’t exactly help you on that front but… Well pretty soon it’ll all be work ways again?” Sol offered off hand with a sigh.
Alicia still scowled a bit and hung her head, brooding angrily.

....this is interesting... So far he have seen many type of Digimon partnered human, but he have never seen anyone who got ghostlike Digimon hovering about them... From his appearance too that he's not exactly a ghost. It's almost like she's something else altogether. However, he heard what she had to say... apparently the portals were closed? That's... something, he doesn't understand what caused that fluctuation... at first he didn't care and returned back to his sleep.
The Trailmon soon noticed that everyone has gone aboard and started moving. They soon starting to leave Terminus and gone to the Network Rail Plains. However, at that moment, several Digimons that already feeling something was wrong immediately felt an intense killing intent. Hikaru immediately snapped out of his sleep tossed himself outside the window. Yuuki who felt the dread immediately reached out for his digivice and...
"DORUMON, WARP SHINKA!!"
Figure of black knight appeared beside the train. Hikaru, now an Alphamon immediately spread his shield at the incoming attack. Blast of thunder suddenly passed his shield. The Trailmon was not strong enough to go against it!
The attack immediately gouged the back portion where some people are. A Doumon judged that the attack could pierce shield and immediately casted some form of protective sigil that reflected it, but some wasn't lucky. Some of that attack missed and send debris everywhere, including chunk of earth that hit a boy and immediately made him unconscious, head bleeding.
"HIKARU!"
"I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE ATTACK COMING FROM!" the Alphamon replied. Unfortunately, a huge explosion soon follow. The Trailmon, derailed, quickly freefalling to the abyss of the Dark Area...

”Wh- ALICIA!” Sol howled a split second faster then Hikaru had noticed whatever it was that was coming. Shocked to awareness, her D-Scanner was in hand and she was already evolving, forgoing the chant for speed. Unfortunately, her evolution was slower then Hikaru’s, so she was only primed to take the brunt of whatever was coming at them head on with Metalumindramon’s heavily armored form. The Alphamon’s shield hadn’t done much to say the least, but that seemed to be a property of the hidden assailant’s attack of choice then any problem on Hikaru’s part.
Fortunately, it was only some debris that actually went her way. Which was a godsend frankly. She’d already been run through one too many times for her tastes and she’d rather not need another hospital visit. There was only so much you could wave off with a story after all. Her current form shrugged the debris off easily enough and had room to move thanks to the roof above her being sheared off.
The explosion, on the other hand? She didn’t deal with that quite so well, yelping a bit as she suddenly felt weightless. On instinct she beat her four wings and managed to arrest her fall quickly enough, but that didn’t help much for the falling train. A curse bitten in half on her lips, the Metalumindramon twisted and dove, now letting her heavy, armored body and the beat of her wings aid gravity and get her underneath the falling wreck and brace it up.
She wasn’t exactly strong enough to lift an entire train though, but if she could at least slow its fall and, thus, lessen the impact? It might save a few more lives then if it had just slammed into the ground at full speed. So as she beat her wings and struggled against the inevitable, the steel dragon snarled to herself. She’d never admit it, but she couldn’t help but make a frankly irrelevant note as they plummeted.
This was the last time she’d ever ride a Trailmon by choice. If her stupid Digiport didn’t work she was just going to resolve to not go to the Digital World that day. And if an emergency was involved, well it would’ve already been too late anyways. Trailmon seemed loathe to break schedule for anyone. On a more relevant note, it wouldn’t be all that much longer before they touched down, to put it lightly...

Hikaru quickly dived to the rescue, only quickly interrupted by some attacks coming from unknown direction. Without much choices, the Alphamon shoots wide area laser attack to his attacker. He hoped that at least the Digimons inside that Trailmon could help it... However, they're now in even worse danger than he thought. Despite Alicia's help, the train descended faster and faster to the ground as it slowly disintegrated into data. The life force of the poor being is about to fade.
Yuuki saw in horror some people falling to their death, their Digimon having yet able to evolve to the form that let them to fly. Almost as if they only cared about the Alphamon, the attacker relentlessly attacked him without caring for the Trailmon. Finally fed up, Hikaru suddenly teleported and protected Yuuki and the wounded boy who got hit by the debris. The impact from the train was near nonexistent, but the carcass from the what supposed to be Trailmon has protected about four extra survivor beside Yuuki and Alicia.
First, a girl partnered with a Lilymon A boy who looked like a spirit user, unconscious from the impact Another girl who partnered with Doumon who helped them and lastly, a boy who gotten unconscious but protected by Hikaru's barrier, and what's worse he's partnered with a child stage Digimon, a Picodevimon who looked really worried for his partner

Alicia groaned softly, and metal groaned as she shoved the chunk of train she’d been under off of her after hearing from her spirits that it was empty. At least… of any still alive that is. Her heart sank a bit at that, but with so little warning there was little anyone could’ve done. The fact that there were any survivors beyond herself and the tamer with the Alphamon was impressive enough though, as she took a moment to survey her surroundings, growling a bit at her own inability to do more then ensure her own survival.
“Well… this is a right mess we’ve gotten into...” She began, shaking her head. “Hey, you. First, name please so I can actually call you by it later? Second, any idea who that was? The guy seemed particularly interested in you and/or your partner there...” With a sigh, she shook her head. “Never mind, I guess its not relevant now that things are said and done. Surviving is more important...”
With that said, the dragon appeared once more and looked at those assembled. ”If anyone has medical experience or abilities, please come forward so that we can tend to the those who are unconscious. There may be more internal injuries that are more serious as this was a terrible fall.”
”Anybody also have idea where in the Dark Area we are? Could help us narrow down which direction we should go in order to extricate ourselves from this tragedy...” Kisara asked softly as she appeared as well beside Sol, the two hanging to Alicia’s right flank.
“We can worry about transportation in a bit, the sooner we stabilize, the better shape we’ll be in.” Alicia finished, before sighing to herself. “This kind of crap happens to me too much...”

"Can the introduction wait for a moment?" Yuuki questioned "Sorry, let me just attend to this, for a bit.." He gently put down the boy that Hikaru protected along with him on the ground, making sure that it's flat. The Alphamon descended and quickly gave a heal that seem to bring the boy back to health. However, he's still unconscious.
"I'm sorry, but I have no idea," the younger girl with Lilymon answered. "My Lilymon have healing power though," she pointed at the Lilymon that's now tending the unknown teen spirit user.
"Neither I do sadly," the girl with Doumon answered. She's seem to be the eldest on the group of four. "But I am indeed very interested in why that you're seem to be targeted by whatever attacker that was."
"...Hell if I know," Yuuki muttered. Why does someone immediately pointed that sort of thing at him? It seriously made him felt like he's the one that's wrong in here! However, he know that this is not something that any of his enemy would do... if it's the Arbiters, this is way too messy. Arbiters won't kill Trailmon unless they really have some crime, so that option is out... which mean, it's something independent?
"Most likely it's because he's the strongest...?" the Doumon offered an answer. "But before that, let's get to the greetings now that we're out of most life threatening situation."
"Fair. I'm Yamamoto Maki. That one is Yeul," the bespectacled girl introduced. From the way that she was shaking, Yuuki can tell that she's acting brave.
"U-um...Okitsu... Fumika... that one is Lily," the younger girl introduced herself. "T-that one is my classmate Usugi Ren," she pointed at the spirit user boy who's groaning from pain.
"I-I'm Valt," the Picodevimon introduced himself "M-my Tamer is Raku... I... don't know his surname."
"Itou Yuuki. That one is Hikaru. Sorry we can't protect you that well."
"From what I see back then however, it's almost like they're prepared for shields..." Yeul commented. "They're not prepared for reflect however. Which means, you're perhaps really targeted somehow?"
"I can't deny that possibility, but for now I don't even know who attacked us. Their MO is too messy compared to some that I know."

“Alicia Westfield. My, how to say, advisors here are Sol and Kisara. Don’t mind them too much, please?” the Metalumindramon finished with her own greeting once the others were done, before sighing to herself. “And yeah, that seemed too well built to counter what… Hikaru, was it, could do from what little I’ve seen. It’s rough but those of us who remain will just need to find a way to survive. At least we’re not at risk of freezing to death like the last time I was in a situation like this...”
Turning to one of the two sheer rock walls of the valley the Trailmon had been crossing when they’d come under attack, the Steel Spirit Wielder huffed. “Slide Evolution!” With that, she shimmered a bit, solid armor losing detail and turning fluid as Metalumindramon shifted to a state of similar level, not quite as strong but more useful for the current scenario. “Mercurialdramon!”
”Be careful you don’t cause a land slide.” Sol commented with a serious glance towards his host. The Mercurialdramon twisted her head around to smile back.
“I deal with more precise problems in my day-to-day job. A little digging isn’t going to be all that hard. Can you and Kisara keep a look out while I’m busy?” Alicia answered back with a smirk.
”Well, Sol’s a better look out then I am, but I suppose two sets of eyes are better then one.” Kisara quipped and the two spirits moved to take up watches, putting the primary group between them.
With that done, Alicia shifted her mass into her arms and claws, shaping them into huge, bladed shoveling limbs much like a massively over sized mole. With several careful prods of the rocky wall before her, the liquid dragon slammed a claw in and began to tunnel into the side of the valley to create some kind of shelter. She was going to assume the worst, so the less they needed to jostle the injured, the better.
”Yuuki, forgive me for bringing up the possibility...” Sol began, not taking his eyes off his half of the watch as he addressed the tamer. ”… but if you do indeed have enemies, is it possible they hired someone who doesn’t follow their normal status quo on operations as an attempt to eliminate you with minimal chance of being pinpointed as the culprits behind this disaster?”
The dragon spirit did raise a frighteningly good point. One he was fairly certain was wrong, but a confirmation one way or another would be welcome.

"I'm not sure we can freeze to death at the moment,"Hikaru commented, "but we sure cannot get out from here no matter how good we are at flying, not with that," he pointed at the sky of the dark area. Thunderstorm are brewing outside, which leads to portal unable to be used. He sighed. "Well, there's nothing we can do now except to wait... I'll stay in this form for a while."
Yuuki honestly was grateful of Alicia and her quick thinking, but at the same time he's wondering how to get out from here. If they hitch another Trailmon, there are huge chance that they'll get attacked again. There are also huge chance that they'll have more causalities than this. He looks frustrated, really frustrated. Though, Sol seem to be bringing another sore point.
"............I don't think it's any of those people. They're... very picky with their method. They won't harm Trailmons, although it might be them, but instead of following the orders, these bastards just decided that they don't want to take risk and just attack us anyway.... I never thought that it'll go like this, though."
"So basically, we got assassins after us, is it? Bravo, been in lot of situations, dangers related, but this is the first in my a year career as a Tamer," Maki commented. "...I know better than to blame someone though, especially in survival situation."

”It could’ve been worse.” Kisara suddenly quipped. ”These could’ve been traditional assassins that actually sneak around and can’t be detected until they slip the dagger into their gut. As it is? Frankly these guys are sloppy. You should’ve seen the real pieces of work back in mine and Sol’s days.” That likely didn’t help things at all, but the attempt was at least there.
”Kisara, please refrain from further mentions about how things were more difficult eons ago. It makes you sound like an irritable old grandma.” The dragon growled out with a sigh. ”I realize you’re just trying to raise hopes by implying experience in such dangerous situations but really, it never helps.”
”A gal’s gotta try something at the very least though, right?” the ice maiden shot back. Sol deigned to not respond this time and just shook his head. ”Okay fine, yeah that was a flop… Hey, Lily, how’s Ren doing?” Seemed the ice maiden had had enough of getting poked at already.
“Well, at least we know who ever is after us likely doesn’t have the backing of a huge group of mysterious assassins.” Alicia’s voice echoed out from within the small cave she’d already managed to tunnel out, the rubble building up on the sides of the hole as she was quickly tearing into the earth. It wouldn’t be too much longer until she had a large enough place hollowed out for them to hide in. Not bad for a Beast Fraction...

"Yeeep, not helping," Yuuki muttered as the rest looks quite shocked. Let's not go on about how the old age is harder than the present. He really don't want to remember the battlefield or how many human he killed. Just remembering that made him sick to the stomach and just want to barf. "...But I guess it's true that they're doing really sloppy job. So sloppy that I was surprised at their brazenness," he muttered under his breath.
Luckily Kisara managed to backreel a bit and asked Lily how the guy's doing. The Lilymon just nodded. "I think it's fine to move him now. But we need to move him. I'm not exactly strong though," she pointed at her arms, that certainly quite frail. "Plus Ren is really heavy."
"Well, don't really seem that we need to lift him far, so I can do it. Can you lift Raku instead?" Yuuki asked.
"That's easier. Thank you very much."
Meanwhile, he still wondered if there will be anyone who's going to ask him more about this... Because this is sure awkward as heck. Already in his head he's starting to kick himself. He never knew that there are assassins this brazen and doesn't care about stealthiness. This is more like terrorism instead...

Sol, confirming for the moment there were no incoming enemies, took a glance at the young man with the Alphamon partner. Whether or not Yuuki noticed his gaze was irrelevant, he merely realized the extent of what kind of skeletons the young tamer had in his closet. Knowing all too well about having such skeletons, the dragon then returned to his vigil and decided against inquiring further. That was a story either for another day or not at all.
Fortunately, he had something to consider, as the tunneling seems to have stopped almost on cue. ”All finished in there, Alicia?” the dragon spirit inquired with a quirked eyebrow. Mercurialdramon was an ever useful and surprisingly efficient form, given that it could put the vast majority of it’s bulk into whatever task was required at the time, effectively getting more power per pound then most other digimon could manage at the cost of requiring time to reshape itself should it need to accomplish a new task.
“Done enough for a temporary shelter!” Alicia answered back. As she came lumbering out. Her form had already shifted back to its ‘default’ state as she did, looking around. “So who needs a lift?”
”He does, from what Lily tells us. Pixies… aren’t known for their physical strength, unfortunately. If you’d be so kind.” Kisara answered back, smiling. The liquid dragon nodded, compressing a hand down and sliding it out and around Ren. Carefully, she picked the recovering boy up, her larger frame’s power coming into play again.
“This is the worst indeed...Well, lets get ourselves into cover now. Anyone else need a pick up?” Alicia offered. She figured it would be unnecessary, but the sooner they could get everyone sheltered, the better. Only making one trip would be best for that, and Mercurialdramon could transport multiple people at a time if need be.

...He noticed, and he glanced back. Gaze at the abyss and it'll stare back at you, huh? That's the kind of feeling he's getting from the dragon. Slightly unnatural red eyes just kept returning the glance until one of them break up their stare. Nobody bothered... they're too preoccupied with their problems. The Alphamon suddenly clapped armored hands. He has done several adjustment to their shelter and now it looked more spacious, but still very well hid. No, better say... he made the light made it almost like there are nothing on the surface. It's a stealthy move for sure. He manipulated light to make sure that their small hole is covered in illusion.
"Alright, let's stop there. Why don't we... sit?" he snapped his finger, to which several transparent chairs appeared out of thin air. Of course Yuuki sat on one of them without any care in the world whether it's transparent or not. A huge table appeared on the center of the shelter. Kind out of nowhere, Hikaru pulled several teacups... but the content isn't tea. There are dessert there... specifically, it smells of apple. Yuuki for some reason immediately facepalmed.
"This better good and not diabetes inducing."
"Don't worry, I've clearly reduced the sugar content. Now, matcha as usual?"
Hikaru gave Yuuki something like a japanese teacup instead of the usual teacup. There is also dessert there, and Yuuki honestly just take it and used the spoon to eat whatever dessert there is.. and when he's thirsty, he just drink from that teacup.... That's right. Apparently, Hikaru made this teacup with layer of dessert on the top and tea on the bottom. What a strange presentation. Even Maki who noticed become wide-eyed.
"...This is way to break tension for sure," she muttered. Fumika still nursing Ren, but overall she seem to be in calmer mood. The boy Raku seem to waking up and looking slightly sluggish... but overall, they're slowly recovering.
