What was K honestly going to do with her chefs? They had failed to inform her that they had run low on several if not almost all types of meats and noodles. They had plenty of fresh fruit and what not; and all sorts of spices.. But what sort of inn would they be if they didn't have the primary source of their income ready? So she was more or less forced to go to terminus to put in some orders. It'd take a few days and they'd likely lose out on some customers because of it but at least in the long standing she'd have things ready.
Finding herself boarding an outgoing trailmon around midnight the renamon took her time going over the expenses that she had incurred with all the orders. Not really paying attention to her surroundings all too much. The piece of paper in her hands was well worn by the time she took her seat; she always struggled with finances before Canton helped her out with them.
As the train started moving she took a few moments to take in her compartment, her half lidded eyes seeming rather bored. The day had been rather long and dealing with merchants always was tiring. She was a soldier damnit; she wasn't cut out for talks with penny pinchers. Sighing softly she'd stash the paper away and look out the window. She frowned slightly as she didn't recognize the location they were going through.
Just as she was about to inquire as to where they were the entire train abruptly bounced and shifted. Eyes widened and the inner workings of trailmon started to shift around crazily. It felt like the train was bucking and writhing with how it was shfiting. She didn't want to stand up and instead made sure to hold onto one of the bars that was nearest to her.
Snarling in irritation as the whole train seemed to go airborne she could only guess what happened next. A jarring impact that seemed much further ahead rippled throughout the entire train and the digimon was flung from her seat, though rather than slam against the wall and injure herself badly she spun about and landed gracefully against it. The entire train jinking and slamming into the ground over and over again. Eventually the trailmon ceased it's writhing and shifting settling in with a heavy shudder.
Something obviously was wrong and she didn't even know where to start. Checking herself over for a few moments before climbing up to one of the windows that seemed to gaze into the sky... She'd firmly plant a foot against it and then kick. The first one didn't do anything and the second didn't either. It was only after using both feet with a wind up was she able to kick the window open. Trailmon were very powerful after all and would be incredibly durable. Climbing out of the poor creature she'd look around, the unfamiliar landscape of the jungle silently greeting her; a frown graced her lips and she shook her head.
"Where in two hells am I?"

It was certainly a long trip back to Terminus. The digital world was indeed vast, perhaps even bigger than the human world. Eva wasn't entirely sure. What she did know though, was that walking all that distance back to the city from her latest adventure was just not worth the effort. Good thing public transport existed out here! Even if they were rather strange. She hadn't entirely gotten over the fact that these trains -talk-. And are seemingly sentient. In fact, there were a lot of things about the digital world that just straight didn't add up. It seemed that in many cases this world very much flew in the face of any established laws of physics she knew of. Not that she was a scientist or anything, but, surely anyone could tell that there were many things that just should not be.
Nonetheless, Eva had settled down for the long trip, kicking her feet up and relaxing. However, something else the digital world seemed to be very good at was about to happen. That was throwing a rock at proceedings just when things are seeming almost normal and safe. If it wasn't some big scary monstrosity trying to bite your head off, it was the environment itself trying to kill you.
JUDDER JUDDER
What the heck was that? Eva shook it off at first, just putting it down to some sort of irregularity in the track and nothing at all to be concerned about, however, the juddering didn't stop, instead, ramping up more and more until it turned into an uncontrollable writhing, the huge monstrosity of steel and Victorian era engineering made sentient swayed to and fro, buckling and creaking, lights flickering until...
SNAP!
The locomotive lurched again, this time coming completely clear of it's rails and soaring upwards in an arc before slamming down hard. Eva's HUD quickly switched modes from it's regular blue, to orange, considering the violent impacts certainly enough to flick the safeties off and ready the combat systems, the protective "shades" visor clicking into place over her eyes automatically from their recessed and hidden positions within her skull as the train was still in mid air.
THREAT DETECTED. COMBAT SYSTEMS ENGAGED.
HIGH VELOCITY DEBRIS WARNING.
ADDITIONAL IMPACTS IMMINENT.
STORMSHIELD EM BARRIER ONLINE. CAPACITORS 100%.
Eva quickly raised her left arm, underneath her clothing a carbon fibre panel popped open on the otherwise smooth and sleek human like limb, emitting a high pitched electric whine before an arcing crackling filled the air, the barrier forming in front of her as she flinched, razor sharp fragments of twisted steel and shattered glass, no doubt more than capable of cutting her to ribbons, smashed into the barrier, sparking and bursting into flames before the train finally came to a rest.
The renamon took a deep breath, dropping down from her seat which she had been gripping on for dear life and onto the "floor", which until recently was very much one of the walls, and not covered in shards of glass and jagged metal.
"Hokay... This is why I need to get a Land Rover or something. Damn."
She shook her head, carefully avoiding the various pointy things that had been littered around the cabin due to the crash, and tried the door release. Nothing. Again? Nothing, apart from a few sparks from a broken light fixture. She looked around for another option, and fortunately, one quickly presented itself, a huge jagged tear in the metal structure, barely big enough for her to climb through.
It was hardly comfortable, and she had to be very careful not to cut herself open on it, but, she was finally outside, standing on top of the train as the reality of the situation started to hit home. She had no idea whatsoever where she was.
"Well... sh*t."

K looked around a little bit more; slowly frownign as she could tell there was some gashes on the side of the train cars. It looked as though something large had attacked the Trailmon; something strong enough to cause severe damage and... Well. This particular digimon was likely going to start digitising very soon. She was tempted to take a seat and wait for somethign to come by but that something could be the thing that caused this trailmon to derail. She'd frown and hop off of the trailmon's 'body' and take in the area again; it was still dead silent for good reason. She could hear the wheezing of the trailmon further ahead; the smoke from it's stack raising in agitated puffs. Should she try to see if she could help it? She looked down at her hands and found herself frowning.
"I don't think I can heal this..."
She'd shake her head and then perk up as she heard what amounted to a voice not too far away. Though it was muffled from what she guessed was inside the trailmon; she found herself going towards it only to see something she hadn't in a very long time. Another renamon, or at least what she thought to be another renamon. They looked very odd to her and K found herself staring much longer than she should. Shaking her head rapidly realizing she was probrably being rude she'd clear her throat before adressing the other.
"Any idea what happened? Are you hurt?"
She'd eye the particular car that the other was standing on; unsure how she should really approach them. She felt oddly on edge with this whole happening; unsure what she should be doing or going at this point. Right now her focal point should be to find other survivors if any and if there are figuring out where the hell they should go from here.
"I don't suppose there's anyone else in that car?"
She'd cross her arms, tail flicking back and forth. Something here just screamed wrong but it wasn't the other renamon and it certainly wasn't her...

Eva checked herself over, her HUD lighting up with a diagnostic screen. Fortunately, no big red flashing warning signs, her timely activation of the barrier took the worst of it, leaving her with just a few cuts and bruises. She took a moment to compose herself, before looking around at the scene of destruction surrounding her, trying to mentally retrace what happened. The train juddered at first, that was for sure. Was it a break in the track? A weapon impact? She hopped down, flicking between multiple vision modes as she attempted to ascertain what happened. She wasn't seeing anything on thermal, but, even with the extra clarity afforded by night vision, there didn't look to be any break in the tracks that she could see. That said, it would probably be a ways back.
It was at this point when her train of thought was interrupted by a voice, asking if she had any idea what was going on, and if she was hurt. A no to both, certainly. "Not a damn clue. And I'm fine, just a few scrapes.". The British accented digimon retracted her shades. the need for the additional eye protection had seemingly passed, at least, for the time being.
Eva had seemingly similar ideas in regards to seeking out survivors though, as she did a systematic sweep around of the local area, both trying to mentally map out the place and to peek in each carriage to see if there was anyone still alive in there.
"Clear. No signs of anyone at all. The carriage I was in was empty too. I felt a judder before the train derailed. Could have been a break in the track, but these rails tend to be kept in pretty damn good condition. Something doesn't seem right about this."
All business, all concentration. Eva was certainly guarded and on full alert right now.

K sighed softly and shook her head, running a hand over one of her ears; idly checking them over. With how she felt at the moment she wasn't sure if she had escaped all damage, if anything she would find out later as she came down from this "high". Gritting her teeth she ran a hand along the car's underbelly, there was a few indents from the juddering and the shifting. It made sense. She was more surprised that her car had escaped relatively undamaged. Or perhaps she was just int he right place that she didn't notice it?
"All right that makes two of us then. I can heal if something happens, but it's not rated for larger wounds past a quick suture."
She sounded rather bitter about that but what could she honestly do? There was so much damage along the train that it would take her ages just to do so. It might be better to try to go get help for the large digimon rather than staying. She'd follow after the other renamon, not bothering to ask a name as it wasn't important at the moment. She'd keep an eye behind the two of them, keeping up with Eva as the other was fairly systematic.
"Clear, Nothing over here either."
It had been a very long time since she had been part of some form of military group; but she could feel that slow but firm thought process work it's way back into the forefront. She'd shake her head and keep scanning the area, sharing the sentiment of being on full alert and guarded without actually communicating it.
"There's a high chance that we were the only ones on the Train. No one else was in my car either, I think that judder was the trailmon trying to stay on the tracks from some kind of impact."
She'd gesture down the way towards the front of the train; a stern but somewhat thoughtful expression on her face.
"If the trailmon is still conscious we can ask what happened, if not maybe I can heal it's fore section enough to where it can speak. I feel like something attacked it; which is going to be a problem for other trailmon's if left unattended."

It didn't take them too long to search the area, and find that they were indeed the only passengers what with the two of them looking around. It wasn't like this was a massive several mile long freight train after all. Eva kept checking the area through her cybernetic eyes' thermal vision modes, seeing nothing but the empty, lonely woodland around them, the only heat signatures for now being the skittering of the various smaller creatures calling this area home.
"Agreed. You talk to the train..." Eva couldn't believe she just said that. Crazy world, right? "...and I'll provide overwatch to make sure no hostiles sneak up on us. In fact, I have something for this."
With that, there was something akin to a digivolution. Almost. It was far more subtle that was for sure, but then again the train smashing through the thick jungle growth was more understated than plenty of digivolutions what with the flashiness and often times shouting.
TACTICAL LOADOUT SELECTED
DEPLOYING NANOCONSTRUCTORS
ARMAMENT SELECTED: KKSBR
CONSTRUCTING...
PATTERN ESTABLISHED
SENSORS ONLINE
WEAPONS ONLINE
ALL SYSTEMS, NOMINAL.
Instead with this? First an outline was formed around Eva, a 3D wireframe, quickly filling in until what was standing there wasn't just a cybernetic Renamon in a hoodie and jeans, it was a cybernetic Renamon in full body armour holding an assault rifle. The whole design looked very human, the armour, the weapon, all what you might expect to see a human world special forces infantryman wearing into a combat scenario. British, to be more specific, judging by the Union Jack flag on the shoulder. That said, it had a few "near future" looking touches to it, the rifle especially.
She reached into her backpack, and pulled out what appeared to be a small quadcopter drone. Again, it looked human in design just like the weaponry and armour. "Deploying drone." With that, it took off vertically, quickly reaching a high altitude as it started scanning the area.

Finding that they were the only two that seemed to of been on the train made K feel slightly better; not everyone could of come out of the crash of the trailmon unscathed. K would find herself frowning slightly as the other spoke; she couldn't place the accent but they made more and more sense than she intially was expecting. She'd raise her eyebrows ever so slightly as the other seemed to think they had something for this.
"Sounds good. I don't think anything I'd have would be suited for that."
She didn't like admitting her faults; but there was no point in lying to the stranger. She wasn't looking at eva when the subtle change happened. K was keeping her eyes elsewhere. She didn't feel one hundred percent comfortable with the stranger quite yet, but there was that innate sense of trust that they wouldn't stab her in the back. Maybe it was just the way the other was talking or perhaps it was just the fact she could tell they were a soldier once? Or still were? She'd glance back at the other after a few moments, her expression changing to that of surprise as she noted what the other was carrying. She had seen digimon digivolve and have something very simular; but the combat armor and everythign else? It seemed incredibly foreign.
"Interesting..."
Tearing her eyes away from the other to keep moving forward; as they were coming up the trailmon's front. The stack of smoke stil coming out; but it seemed a little more strained than before. One ear flicked back as the other spoke, but it seemed more informitive than anything. Relative to a drone? She wasn't sure the term; but perhaps that was the thing that was supposed to help the other provide overwatch? She was horribly out of the loop it seemed. Coming around the front of the trailmon she'd shake her head slightly; the large gashes along it's sides and deep in the face of the poor digimon stuck out. There was no healing this at her current level; she'd grimace a bit and look for the easiest to heal out of them; her medical training coming to fruition and the smaller digimon put her hands near where one smaller gash was nearest the "temple" of the digital train. She'd mumble gently and shook her head again.
"Aura. It'll take a little bit for me to heal this much damage. Are we still clear or Am I just wasting energy?"
She'd flick her ears back her frown deepening as she could feel her energy flowing out into the wound. The warped metal of the wound shuddering and flexing; slowly sliding together as the curative properties took hold. Though it didn't seem to do much for the other wounds past the one her hand was on. The stack of smoke from the trailmon seemed to become less strained; but it was still sputtering...
"At this rate I'll be tending to this guy for a few weeks..."

"Do what you can, but I think we're going to need to call in someone more specialised in this sort of thing to do any more than just stabili- Wait one. Skyeye drone is picking up movement. One hundred meters north." She squinted, despite doing that being rather pointless. After all, the video feed from the drone's camera was being displayed right on her artificial retina anyway. "Can't tell what they are. Too much tree cove- contacts have opened fire!
Two missile traces streaked out from the thick canopy, the first nailing the drone, the large anti armour missile making short work of it, the second arced down and impacted the trailmon which quickly burst into flames, detonating in a shower of jagged metal and raw data. Eva didn't waste a second, rolling into cover behind a rise in the terrain and opening up with a burst from her rifle. These creatures had very little chance to hide, being clearly picked out in Eva's vision, glowing like christmas trees on thermal.
The magnetically accelerated slugs sailed true to the target, punching holes clean through one of the strange, hazmat suit wearing figures yet seemingly doing very little apart from blasting in one side and out the other. The hostiles returned in kind with a hail of heavy automatic gunfire tearing through the brush forcing Eva to duck back down.
Two more of them walked up under the cover provided by their comrades who were seemingly wielding some sort of minigun type weapon. They were wearing large tanks on their backs, walking forward seemingly without a care in the world as they begun shooting gouts of flame, the napalm quickly setting the surrounding jungle landscape ablaze.

"This is probrably the best tha-"
Just like that K was on her feet, whirling around to fac ethe same direction that eva was. The other had said there were contacts almost a good hundred meters to their north. She was given the lovely view of the drone getting blown to bits. The other missile arking in such a way that if the renamon didn't move she'd get hit by the shrapnel and raw data. She'd growl in irration as the missile slammed into the trailmon next to her. But rather than slice through her, it simply sliced through the air that she was in a moment before.
"Displacement."
Her teleportation had saved her life multiple times before, but it didn't always work. If that shrapnel area had been any larger she'd likely of been injured badly. Taking the chance She'd peer around the side of a tree to where the renamon had picked as her cover for the moment. Seeing a pair advancing with gouts of flames and the others giving them cover with what looked to be some form of automatic projectile weapon. The ones spouting the flames were the most dangerous out of the group; they'd run out of cover fast if not addressed and a fire could ruin a huge part of the jungle.
She'd frown just a little bit and glance over at eva as they opened fire with the strange weapon they were wielding. She didn't have the sort of range for this; and anything she had would be more of a slow lob. Gesturing to gain the attention of the other renamon, she'd jerk a thumb towards the other digimon and then pat her back. Hoping they got the idea of shooting to hit those strange backpacks the digimon wore. She had worked with mechanical digimon once or twice and they were always really protective of their batteries or supplies. Would these ones be any different?
Exhaling softly; the renamon would hold her hands out and three orbs of fire would appear. She couldn't throw them right at this moment; displacement took a lot to use and making an attack right after would put her one foot in the grave.

Eva certainly had problems of her own what with being pinned down by multiple heavy weapons, but nonetheless she saw the gesture. She wasn't entirely sure that would be a good idea though, who knows what sort of pressure those packs were under. Nonetheless, with those things getting closer she didn't exactly have many other options. She could only snap off a couple of shots, but, several of them nonetheless tore right through one of the creatures, rupturing the tank in a violent fireball.
Eva ducked back into cover, those gunners weren't giving up for a damn second but it had seemed that even the explosion hadn't finished off that creature, which was still marching ahead engulfed in flames and torn full of holes, yet nonetheless not slowing up in the slightest. However, it was certainly less of a threat now, what with its main weapon being knocked out. The other one though was very much still in play, letting off a burst of fire directly at K!
It seemed that the missile launchers had reloaded though, as two more missiles soared through the air, leaving a trail of fire and fury in the air as they arced towards their targets, one after Eva, the other flying straight for the other renamon. Eva barely managed to evade, shoulder rolling just out of the blast radius in time. That said, this put her momentarily in the path of the chainguns, and while they weren't exactly accurate, one round still struck her square in the chest, knocking her to the floor. Luckily, the armour took the brunt of the impact, the plate in the carrier shattering. She grumbled, pulling the few armour chunks that were left out. All they were at this point were dead weight after that hit.

Seeing the other renamon snap around and take some shots again, this time at the strange digimon with tanks on their backs. One of them was consumed by a violent fireball; at least she intially had thought that. Though it emerged still on fire a moment later. But it was no longer spouting fire from the mentioned weapon. It'd likely have other attacks but with the flamer knocked out the fire was more likely to die out with people not very well adding to it.
K was not safe from the other fire spitter, the flames hungerily trying to eat at her. She had to jump back to avoid the gout of flame, much of her frontal fur catching light, the fire orbs that hovered not a few inches from her dominant hand seethed with anger. Using her left hand she'd grab one of the fire orbs and hurly it point blank at the other creature, though since it's attention was turned to her sh ehad less of an angle to hit it's tank and didn't have the punch through needed. So instead she aimed for the mouth of the flame weapon even at it licked at her with more flame. There had to be some element that helped it breathe fire out at that junction right?
She didn't get the chance to see her handywork if it did anything and noted that eva had a missile not even a few feet from them. They were already on the move but the issue was that there were two missile launchers. The other no doubt was aimed at her; most likely the same amount of distance. Displacement was still not an option, she had just used it to avoid the earlier one. She had to try something incredibly stupid, if they were the same size she could feasibly kick along the midsection of the missile to adjust it's trajectory into the creature in front of her.
It was the closest she would get to even dodging it and even if she succeded she'd be close enough the to detonation... There was no time to think and her body simply acted on it's own at this point. Spinning sharply on one foot, the other came up and around. She felt her foot make contact with somethign hard and was rewarded with maybe a few seconds later to see a missile streak past her muzzle. The force she had was not enough to adjust the trajectory like she had hoped but thankfully the projectile detonated away from the two of them.
The creature in front of her was still up and going, though the flamer seemed to be sputtering; the gouts of flame no where near intense but they were still coming out. The chainguns were heavily focused on the other, even managing to pepper them a few times. At this point the fire orbs had sputtered out unfortunately and she was left with her bare hands and the flamer digimon in front of her certainly didn't look happy.
Taking a chance she'd use her right hand; the points of her claws glowing in anger an idea springing to mind. How long had it been since she had been in a fight like this? Where there was a chance of digitization? Too long. But she was getting lucky far too often and didn't like that. Her claws made firm contact with the digimon in front of her as another gout of flame engulfed her front. Her hand punched through the chest of the digimon and into it's back setting the two of them in a rolling ball of fire. Though at the end of it K was the one standing out of the two of them... barely.
Fox-Fire: Summoning up three orbs of fire, this digimon may target up to three opponents. Each fox fire deals a decent amount of damage and can ignite flammable objects.
K-Slash: Using their claws, this digimon may make an slashing attack towards a target dealing heavy damage. Knockback may occur..

Well, that was one of the flamer units well and truly defeated, and the other attempting to re-ignite the pilot light which had been knocked out of whack by the fireball disabling the flamethrower for at least the time being. However, seeing the threat from the other Renamon, one of the gunners opened fire on K, the heavy weapon's barrel glowing red hot as it almost barked with a barely contained fury, spitting lead at a terrifying rate of fire. However with only one gunner baring down on her, this was an opportunity for Eva to level out the numbers a little bit.
Her HUD lit up, displaying targeting data on each hostile. Of course, it couldn't hope to actually identify these creatures to give accurate threat assessments, after all, the designers of the Sentinel Optics Package that her eyeballs were replaced with never could have known that its potential future users might be up such creatures. She just had to wait her moment. With the barrels of those weapons glowing like that, it seemed to her as though those things would eventually overheat and jam, however, the cyborg was only half right, the weapon seeming to automatically slow its rate of fire to prevent that dangerous eventuality.
Nonetheless, she knew she wouldn't get another chance. The digimon quickly engaged her cloak, disappearing from view and leaving the Troopmon firing at empty cover still believing that she was behind it rather than moving to flank, the cloak working near perfectly in the busy jungle environment even through all the carnage of combat.
After a little bit of re-positioning, she sprung the trap, a blade deploying from her wrist and spearing the hazmat suit wearing gunner through the head, destroying it instantly. Unfortunately, such an action knocked the cloak offline, the light bending technology not able to react quickly enough to the deployed blade, however, she instantly let out a burst with her rifle to keep the other gunner off balance and unable to bring its weaponry to bear.

K winced as she took a brief moment to look down at her hand after the flamer unit had basically been taken out. The fur was gone and it looked charred from the intense flames. She couldn't feel anythign from it which was a bad sign; too much more of this and she'd be forced to flee. Her aura would take a least a dozen or so attempts to just get the hand back to normal. She heard the sound of the gunfire at her; knew that she wasn't in the best position. She felt at least three rounds nail her; one to the shoulder and the other two to her already injured arm. The impact spun her and she collided with a tree; a few seconds later and she was flat on her back the bullets from the gunner streaming over her head. She could feel a fleeting sense of pain in her back; no doubt she had gotten hit there too.
Seeing the other renamon vanish gave K a little bit of a jostle; She wasn't sure if the other could teleport or what. But a few moments later... She re-appeared while spearing one of the remaining gunners; The other of which had immediately come under fire from the other renamon. One of her arms refused to respond while the other was shaking slightly. She still had the other flamer unit to deal with; that fire orb from earlier still causing the damn thing to sputter. Snarling as it got closer; fully intending on finishing the job on the injured renamon the pilot light for it's flamer flickering on.
Intent on not letting it get too much closer K lept forward knee first, her mainly uninjured hand pulling back the light from earlier shining intensely. Though they weren't alone; as the fireorbs sprung to life along side it each of her claws having one gently hovering just in front of the point.
Seeing the danger the creature tried to block her hand, only to get a knee into the center of it's chest. She wasn't going to attack the tank on it's back again, she learned that the hard way. She really hated things that played so well with fire, in such a nice and peaceful spot. The firm image of eva spearing the gunner through the head in mind. They were like zombie digimon it seemed, destroy the head and the rest of them are.. well. Toast so to speak.
The flamer leveled inch by agonizing inch; the world seemed to slow to a halt. But thankfully with the momentum from the early leap the renamon's fire orb lead slash impacted the side of the creatures head. The three orbs exploded and made way for the claws which cut through what was the neck of the creature with ease. These things weren't exactly tough but if you didn't hit them in the right places they'd take forever to go down.
The body in front of her went limp and the other renamon winced as she hadn't seen what the creature's other hand had been doing. The both of them collapsed and K rolled off of the "dead" flamer unit. her uninjured hand coming to her stomach where a quartet of bullet holes sat with a seething anger. At this point moving too much would probably end up getting her digitized; so K had to hope that the other renamon could finish off the remaining gunner. She couldn't even think about fighting the missile wielding ones that they still hadn't seen...

Eva quickly loaded another mag into her rifle, quickly cambering the first round and tossing the empty magazine away onto the ground where it quickly disintegrated into nothing. The motion was smooth, precise, and quick, as though she had done that a million times before. In truth, what with the combat sims she probably had done just that. The missile armed hostiles were seemingly having problems aiming, their projectiles being eluded by the fire and heat of the burning jungle, locking on to false signatures and slamming into the ground, further adding to the scene of devastation with their heavy high explosive yields.
The remaining gunner, seeing that K was seemingly incapacitated on the ground and that Eva was on the other hand still very much a threat, lowered its gun in her direction. The cybernetic digimon barely managed to shoulder roll out of the way, avoiding the worst of it yet still taking a hefty hit to her left arm, the heavy caliber round smashing through the carbon fibre titanium weave alloy material as though it was nothing but black opaque glass, sending jagged fragments flying onto the forest floor and an irregular, shattered mess of her bicep the critical damage running the length of a soda can.

She barely made it into cover behind a large boulder, rock dust and fragments spraying everywhere from the relentless torrent of firepower threatening to chew through it and by extension her. She looked down at her arm, wincing as a small plume of smoke from the burnt electronics rose from it. In truth the pain wasn't too bad, part due to the adrenaline rushing through her body, the rest of it being the artificial nerve endings failing or being shut off to avoid the agony of her injury causing distraction in a critical combat situation.
She knew that rock wasn't going to last forever, and getting a clear shot right now at this target would have been next to impossible right now even if her arm was in perfect working order what with the hail of lead flying her way. Instead, she pulled a frag grenade from her tactical webbing and yanked out the pin with her teeth. It was likely this creature would be so distracted by the combat, plus with its seeming lack of intelligence, it wouldn't even notice the little ball of fragmentary death but nonetheless she waited for the countdown to be at just the right moment before blindly tossing it backwards at the direction of the incoming fire.
The grenade detonated with an earsplitting crack, sending a storm of metal death in all directions. The creature that was easily within the five meter lethal radius was shredded instantly, its right arm and right leg flying off and its head split in twain. Eva knew her job wasn't over yet though. She peeked out, scanning the area for any sign of those missile troopers. Nothing. Smoke was no problem, thermal vision could pick through that without an issue, the real complication here was the heat and fire. These creatures weren't exactly kicking out much heat, and were easily concealed behind the mass of searing white hot flames. They would have to get this over with fast. Those things had gas masks, Eva had augmented cybernetic lungs, but, even they wouldn't be able to deal with all this for much longer, their filters would no doubt become clogged causing her to asphyxiate, not to mention K, someone who didn't have any of these advantages.
She deployed the only functional nanoblade she had left, the weapon deploying from its hiding spot with a solid and satisfying metallic SNIKT sound, as she used the enemy's tricks against them, hiding in the smoke and behind the flames to elude their sensors as she closed in on the position those missile tracks came from. They had powerful weapons for sure, but, shoulder fired AT missile launchers like she was sure that they were utilising weren't exactly known to be too effective against infantry. Sure, if they hit it was massive overkill but tracking and accurately eliminating a small target, especially a relatively quickly moving one which they couldn't lock onto? That was another matter, especially as she was sure these weapons were something akin to the FGM-148 Javelin, flying skywards before dropping upon their targets to penetrate the thinnest protection on an armoured vehicle, the top of the turret or engine deck.
It didn't take her long to flank and put them in her rifle's ACOG sights, locating them a good distance away from the combat acting akin to artillery, like a very short ranged cut price version of the British MLRS rocket artillery unit. She lined them up in her sights, bracing the weapon upon the terrain and with what little movement and strength she had in her left arm and prepared to take the shot.

What did she hear? Now that she was on the ground; breath staggering in and one of her hands weakly holding onto where the last creature had fired into. She could feel her aura mending that location the best it could. Her charred hand still didn't hurt but she needed to focus on the things that did immediately. It would take a couple uses to even get it working again. She could hear more firing from the gunner; but it wasn't at her. It was at the other; she'd grit her teeth and hope that they were all right or at least were out of immediate danger of that fire. She could feel herself spacing out a little bit; which in the midst of a fight was a very bad sign
After a few moments of gunfire she heard the explosion from the other's grenade which forced the renamon to shift her head to look. Seeing eva in cover and the spread out pieces of the digital attacker made the innkeep sigh in relief. If Eva had gone down K was fairly certain that she'd be digitized shortly. The bits of metal getting pushed out by the rushed healing that aura provided. She'd have some absolutely nasty scars after this if she survived.
With the flamers and gunners down all that was left was the missile wielding ones. But the question is where they were hiding; they had the range to make up for the fact of the slow charge they had. Or perhaps reloading was a factor? She didn't know all the details and this was slightly frustrating. It wasn't a surprise that she couldn't see where they were immediately.
Hit the train, it stumbled, they shot twice both from that direction...
She had no doubt that eva was thinking the same thing; but as of right now the best thing that K could do was to try to heal herself and if needed would go over to assist eva. She firmly doubted her ability to do so but if called upon she'd get up and rush as quickly as she could over to whatever position they had been in. What was she really supposed to do? She grimaced and accepted the cold reality.
Just lay here and wait.
