Coolmon felt like she had been in this place before.
A sense of deja vu, if you would.
Here she was, smack dab in the middle of the metropolis that was Terminus City, with people going to and fro near her, and she, as usual, could not remember how she got there.
And it was weird, because she remembered walking and stopping to take a nap in the middle of the plains...But she didn't recall going all the way to TERMINUS! Something just didn't add up! Plus, it was like...Noon when she napped! It's seven in the darn morning right now!
...That, and she had to watch out before she bumped into any weird people. Which was...bound to happen eventually.
"Oh gee...Oooooh gee." She mumbled. That weird feeling you get every time you come here was especially present now, too. Maybe she was in for a bad morning...Or...
...Maybe she has a bad sleepwalking habit? Who knows?

incoming famalam bumping into you, right about now. hope I didn't break the time-space continuum ___
He'd finally made it. Terminus City, the main hub of the Digital World. The place was absolutely sprawling with scraping towers, dark alleys and the bustling murmur of different digimon. It reminded him of the human world's city, the one he'd accidentally visited instead of Terminus. That had been embarrassing.
And yet, this city held a sense of familiarity to him, despite having never visited it before. The... deja vu, was pretty intense. Still, there were places to see and things to do. Even for a shy digimon such as himself. He'd promised himself that he'd eventually see more of the world, after all.
The scuttle of bright yellow legs down the busy streets was now distinct from the padding footsteps of other digimon. Every now and then, Rinji couldn't help but to stop and stare at the huge steel buildings, or into the shop windows of various businesses.
It wasn't his fault, however, when a huge MetalMeramon bustled straight past him, knocking him out of the way like a pinball. Straight into poor ol' Coolmon. "H-hey! Owww..." The MetalMeramon was gone now, and Rinji looked up, dazed, to see Coolmon. "Ah! I'm so sorry!" The shock of seeing her familiar rabbit-y features went overlooked by his concern. He sincerely hoped that bumping into her with his hard exoskeleton hadn't hurt her in any way.

When you're in a cityful of Digimon of all kinds, you tend to see people of many sizes. Coolmon was taking care to keep out of the way and watching some of the passersby go by. "Woah..." She uttered to herself. Of course, this staring would not last long, for soon enough, something bumped into her like getting rear-ended on the freeway.
Soooomething familiar. See, when Coolmon regained her balance, footing, and awareness of the world around her, she was faced with a big red centipede. Wait...
That's no centipede.
That's just Rinji. Coolmon smoothed out her fur and shook her head. "No need! I'm fine." She explained, hoping to dissuade concerns. "What hit you? Are you hurt?"

"Well, that's good," he winced a little. At least Coolmon wasn't hurt.
"I think I'm alright," he admitted, still stuck on his back like a stranded turtle. He was lucky he had his armour. "It was..." he stretched, trying to find the digimon that had so rudely shunted him aside. "Nevermind..." In this position, all he could see was the sky, and quite frankly, his own butt.
"Um, let me just try and get up," he said, aware of Coolmon still watching him. He started by rocking the length of his body left and right until enough momentum built up - allowing him to finally roll back onto his front. "Sorry about that... I really didn't mean to bump into you like that," although he was quite glad to see a familiar face. Coolmon seemed to be doing that a lot quite recently.
Rinji rubbed the back of his head awkwardly; the slate-grey of his face was blushing pink from exasperation. That had been really embarrassing. Why was he so... uncool?
"So, umm, what brings you here?" He asked, hoping to change the subject. After all, it was pretty weird to see Coolmon in Terminus City. Was she going shopping or something? Or did she live here? When Rinji thought about it, he didn't know much about Coolmon at all.

"Oh, oh! Lemme help!" Coolmon chirped (even if she wasn't a bird,) the pink lapine-mon shuffling over to aid the Scolomon in getting up. This involved...uh. Rocking him back and forth. Yep. Even when the Scolomon was already up and at 'em, Coolmon tried dusting him off.
"There. Uh. It's alright. Accidents happen sometimes." Coolmon nodnodded. She really didn't feel any animosity from the gesture. Wait, WHY'S HIS FACE PINK? Coolmon's face ended up turning a bright red. "Uhhh...I took a walk and I wound up here and I'm...trying to figure out if I wanna go shopping or get some food or see if there's anything cool going on."
She really didn't know what she was doing here. But shopping did sound nice. Maybe she could go grab a holosuit like Luke and Bellamy told her about. Or...Uh. Maybe something for Rinji? She was pretty sure she could do that.
...Decisions are hard, man. "Hey, what about you? I didn't think you were someone that...frequented the city. Or are you just as...eh...lost as I am?"
Coolmon was pretty sure that question hit things on the nose.

Ahhh! Now Coolmon was blushing!? Wait, was it because he blushed first!? Shaking his head from embarrassment, he tried his best to listen to Coolmon instead of think about... that.
So she had gotten lost? There again, from what he knew, that didn't seem to be too out of character for her. She was a bit of a wanderer, judging from how she always had the ability to pop up in the most unexpected of places - such as now. It didn't seem very suspicious or strange for her to somehow end up in Terminus.
Well, Coolmon was right about him not being much of a city digimon. So what was he doing in the city? "Oh, I've never visited Terminal City before, and the first time I tried, I kind of got lost. So I thought I'd do it for real this time." He explained, thinking back to the time when he'd gotten the timetables wrong and ended up in the human world... better not mention that.
"We could do all of those, if you have the time? It could be like a day out," he offered, it was the reason he'd visited in the first place, and if Coolmon was there.... they might as well go together, right? It would definitely be more fun than doing it all alone.

This cycle of mutual blushing had created a strange feeling in the air. Tension. Something the Cutemon was by no means a stranger towards, but...this felt different. What's it called when two people are, like, super flustered outta embarrassment?
Coolmon was still not sure why Rinji was blushing. How did this bug...click...? "So....You're exploring? On an adventure? I think either's an alright reason to show up to the city...But that's just me." Coolmon shrugged. She really hoped it was the 2nd one. Coolmon liked adventures! Even if some others didn't really agree with that notion. "Man, I went on an adventure once! I think! ...I kinda forgot what I was doing but somehow I ended up at a train station in another world. Then I met some cool dudes." She nodded, like this was sort of the wisest thing she had ever said.
Now, Rinji's offer was a very tempting one. A day out...Coolmon had never had one of these before. But. Counterpoint. There's a first time for everything. Counterpoint number two. Variety is the spice of life. "I do got plenty of time. So...Yeah! Let's do that. Besides, you seem like a cool person to hang out with! So...uh...I'd kind of enjoy it lots." Coolmon nodded, feeling herself blush more.
...How was this embarrassing? It's not like she got asked out or anything weird...
"Uhhh...So, where should we head to first?"

That did sound like an adventure... wait! "You ended up in another world?" Could it be? "That.... that's exactly what happened to me too! How did you get back?" Wait, he was going to keep his mouth shut, wasn't he? But he couldn't just ignore a coincidence like that - not many digimon really went to the human world, did they? Even if he did it by accident and Coolmon did it on purpose. Well, he didn't know if she was really talking about the human world, though. The Digital World was varied enough to call its different regions 'other worlds' if someone really wanted to.
Rinji visibly perked up a little when Coolmon accepted his offer. He couldn't help it, she even called him cool. Wait, why was she blushing again!? Oh no... How was it even possible when she was already pink anyway? Would this cycle of blushing ever end?
So what should they do first? Oh! He'd gotten so wrapped in their conversation that he forgot to think about it. "Umm, let's see, let me get my map out." Originally, he had just been window shopping, but aimlessly dragging Coolmon around the city didn't sound like a very well thought-out plan. It was one thing to do that alone, but with someone else... you had to have a plan, right?
Fumbling under the crevices beneath his armour, he finally pulled out a leaflet. Then he unfolded it, carefully smoothing out the crinkles with his claws to reveal a huge map. All of the main streets and routes were marked in bold colours, and the biggest go-to tourist sites were carefully illustrated.
"So if I'm right, I think we're here," he said, holding the map in a way so that Coolmon could see, and pointed to the purple route. "The rest of the way up the route are shops, and then it connects to the... city centre, yeah, that's got to be it." Rinji squinted at the map, turning it a little, as if it would make the small lettering any larger.
"I think that's where the Mall is as well, so we could always visit that first." Anyway, Terminus was famous for its mall, to not visit it on a trip to the city was unheard of. "And a 'Leomon Memorial'? Never heard of that before... It's an outdoor memorial by the looks of it, and we'll probably see it on the way there." It must've been pretty impressive, if it was listed on the leaflet... but still, Coolmon didn't seem like the history-buff type.
Either way, visiting the mall first wasn't a bad idea, and if Coolmon wanted to visit somewhere else, there were plenty of other attractions listed on the map. She only had to point them out.

"Yeah, it was the human world, I think! Uh, thankfully we were near one of those train stations that like...took us back to the Digital World. I met some pretty nice people, too. This kid named Colin, an Impmon named Bellamy, an Elecmon named Luke and this really funny bear guy named Gryz. And a kid named Tetsu." She nodded. Cool people, they were! The lapine digimon smiled when the centipede perked up.
Seems like she did something good. Even if this cycle of blushing was as endless as an infinite staircase in a haunted mansion. Coolmon stepped on over towards Rinji and looked over the leaflet he pulled out. She nodded. "...There might be a sign with a map on it that says where we are if we're uncertain, but I think we're here too."
The Mall...! That's what she wanted to visit! Maybe that's probably why she came here. Who knows. "I kinda wanna hit the mall up. I heard I could get something called a holosuit there and that'd be nice for if I get lost in the other world again." Coolmon nodded very sagely. "...Oh! I think I heard a little about that. I'm not sure what it's a memorial for, but...Given it's a memorial to a Digimon that's called the Noble Hero...It's worth giving it a look. Plus, it sounds cool!"
Oh, and there was a McBurgermon's on the way there, too. "Plus we can get some lunch here. Sound like a plan?" Coolmon gestured to a spot along the route towards the mall and the memorial. She had a positively giddy expression on her face! Whether it was from the excitement of planning this out or the fact she was going on an outing with someone in the Cool Books (TM) was a mystery. "...Oh, oh! Are there any shops you want to visit? Maybe we could stop by one of those too!" Coolmon squeaked, looking at Rinji with big beady eyes!
This rabbit was getting really hyped.

Wow, she had met so many new people! The amount paled in comparison to the band of four that had been required for him to get back home. Sadly, he didn't recognise any of their names, but he nodded to Coolmon in acknowledgement. "That's a lot of people. At least you got back safely," he added, always eager to see safety first. Going to other worlds could be dangerous, as he'd learned. Even if humans tended to be more scared of you than you are of them.
With both of them looking at the map, the chances that they were wrong about their own location were pretty slim. He listened intently to all the locations Coolmon wanted to hit up, sorting them into his own mental checklist. He never knew that Leomon was called the Noble Hero. Coolmon must've become quite knowledgeable for all the travelling that she did.
"Definitely," he replied happily to her plans as she wrapped it all up with McBurgermon's for lunch. He'd at least heard of that place before. He was sort of looking forwards to trying it out with Coolmon.
He looked back down from the map to Coolmon, as he was somewhat awkwardly taller than her, to see her positively beaming. She just looked so happy, that he couldn't help but grin when he saw her face. Happiness is contagious, you know. Especially when it's coming from small, adorable rabbits.
"Oh! I know that there was an electronics shop along here!" He added excitedly, thinking back to all the cool gadgets he'd seen in the human world. Of course electricity fascinated him. "I was hoping to buy one of those 'mobile phones' that the humans like to use? I know it sounds kind of silly, but it'd be nice to be able to keep in contact with them," Rinji explained. "And I'm pretty sure they sell other human world devices too." In fact, the store that Rinji was talking about specialised in human technology and brands. Mobile phones, movies, music, games and gadgets could all be found there. And it was only a very short walk down the road.
"I'm not sure about any other stores... so if we see any interesting ones, we can just go in when we walk past?" He suggested. Of course, there were lots of other interesting small stores, such as trinket shops, bakeries and the like. They would likely pale in comparison to the Mall, though.
With their plans set in tow, Rinji gently folded the map back up, stuffing it neatly beneath his carapace again. Just before he started walking, he looked to the rabbit digimon inquisitively, and asked innocently, "wait, what's a holosuit?"

"Yeah...I was kind of scared at first but they were headed back to this world, so...Like...It kind of evened out." Coolmon nodded. She hadn't really felt much fear back then after she and the guys had gotten acquainted.
Somehow, seeing the big centipede grin kind of made Coolmon squeak! How was a giant centipede so adorable to her? Moreover, what's a mobile phone...? Coolmon looked up, curiously. "That doesn't sound very silly...It's pretty thoughtful, though. Maybe I should get one too. So I can keep in contact with the humans I know." The more astute of hearing might note that Coolmon very sneakily said, "And you."
...Probably because Rinji would also have a phone. "...Oh! Yeah, we could do that. I've got a lot of funds to spare." She nodded. "And..." Coolmon inhaled and began explaining. "A holo-suit's a device that can disguise you as a human. I'm trying to get one so if I end up in the human world again for some reason, I'd be safer. Uh...Do you wanna get one too?"

Rinji found himself having to suppress a giggle when he heard Coolmon squeak, and settled on a smile instead. It was just so charming and sweet. Why did she have to be the very depiction of an adorable bunny rabbit? At this rate, he didn't stand a chance.
"Awesome, we can both get one then!" He was glad Coolmon didn't think using a human phone sounded silly, and the idea of both of them buying phones together to keep in touch with their human friends just had such a happy feel to it. Wait... did Coolmon say something else afterwards? Nah... he must've been hearing something else. The city was a noisy place.
But if he had heard right... then maybe he should ask for her number when they both got phones? There wasn't anything weird about asking someone for their number, right?
Coolmon's explanation of a holosuit baffled Rinji. "It disguises you as a human?" He questioned in disbelief. It wasn't that he didn't believe Coolmon, far from it, but because of how outlandish the idea was. "That's amazing." Technology in the Digital World must be getting incredibly advanced. "I'd definitely want one! It can be pretty hard to visit the human world," but this 'holosuit' would fix everything! Maybe they could even visit it together if they both managed to get one?
"I wonder how it works?" Rinji briefly asked himself, but loud enough for Coolmon to hear anyway. Maybe she knew? She did seem to have a knack for these things. It wasn't a big deal if she didn't, though. He was sure he'd find out soon enough once they got to the mall.
Rinji briefly checked to see that he had all of his possessions, especially his money, and looked to Coolmon eagerly. "So, we're all ready to start shopping then?" He was genuinely, very much looking forward to starting this adventure, especially since Coolmon was here now.
All in all, he was ready whenever she was.
(If Coolmon starts walking, assume Rinji's following alongside her already. Let's get this ship sailing ball rolling!)

Perhaps a deal existed where two people buy two phones for a discounted price...Nah, probably not. But Coolmon found herself entertaining the idea of getting a phone. It was likely a useful option in case she found herself within the Human World once more...
...Rinji didn't seem to hear her. Coolmon was unsure whether to be relieved. Hm. She'll give him her number when she got the phone. Yes. A perfect keikaku. Keikaku meant plan. She was 99% sure of it. "Yup! The people I met in the Human World told me about it. I thought it sounded weird too so I wanna see if it's real before I possibly get something that's...not as good as it sounds." ...What a grim possibility that the legendary holosuit could be a waste of funds.
It would not be that way, though. Coolmon was certain of it. "I don't really know how it works. But...We'll figure that out when we get there, alright?" She smiled at Rinji. "It's gonna be interesting either way. Like...an adventure for two people!" Wait, wasn't that just a date? Coolmon's eyes widened a little and she felt another blush coming on. Good grief, what was with her today?
Now then. She felt ready as one could be. Like she was about to pull off a miracle.
Coolmon grabbed Rinji by one of the many centipede creepy crawlie things (she was pretty sure she was grabbing his hand) and began to walk. "So...Electronics first, then memorial, then lunch, yeah?" She was 95% sure that that was the plan. She didn't know. Her memory was not that eidetic. "...I kinda wanna see how I'd look as a human. And you. Actually, I wanna see this whole thing in general!"
FURTHERMORE. HER CHEEKS FELT REALLY HOT.

So the humans had told Coolmon about the holosuits? Thinking about it, it made sense. Not many digimon seemed to use them. "Well, I'm sure they'll let us demo them," he added optimistically. He really did want them to be worth it.
Rinji was taken by surprise when Coolmon grabbed onto one of his claws. Her paws felt really warm. "Y-yeah, an adventure for two people!" He exclaimed happily, not yet realising the weight of the sentence.
It was only when the pair had started walking, still holding hands (if they could be called that), that he saw the slight blush on her face. "Uh," Rinji blushed and quickly looked away while Coolmon was still going over their plans in case she saw him.
"Yep," he replied, when she asked him if she'd remembered it all. He hadn't even noticed that she hadn't mentioned the mall, but they were obviously going to go there anyway. It was the main destination!
He looked back at her, hoping she hadn't seen him blush too. He'd never felt this way about going out somewhere with a friend. It was weird.
"I can't wait to see what they're like too." Coolmon's musings about how they'd look as humans made him think. "I bet you'd look pretty cu... uh, cool as a human. Maybe you'd have pink hair?" He hurriedly covered his verbal slip-up, trying to focus on something else. Little did he realise, that he was turning a slightly darker shade of crimson.
Was it him, or was it really warm today?
"Hey, I think that's the store," he pointed across the street with one of his free forelegs. It was medium-sized, with the logo of a gramophone and a Labramon above the doorway. The text 'HTV' was also printed next to the logo. "Oh, I remember now! It was called HTV; it stands for 'His Tamer's Voice' apparently." He said, referencing the dog digimon listening to the speaker on the gramophone.
It was a fairly quirky yet modern shop, and certainly looked promising. He inwardly hoped that Coolmon would like it.

The walk there was really...heavy on Coolmon. A lot heavier than one might think but for all the reasons that one might also NOT think. Like, wow, this felt REALLY nice! Super happy! It also went without saying but...Coolmon also felt warm. "...Darn right I'd look cool! I'm Coolmon!" She exclaimed with a triumphant sort of backing to her voice.
Though she knew in her heart she was just one Cutemon, so she was probably cute and cool at the same time. Coolmon did note that Rinji somehow got redder...Hm. This was concerning. "Hey, how come you're so red right now...? Is it something I said? Um...I think you'd look really handsome in a holosuit. Maybe. Um...I dunno how they work." She nodded before looking at the Labramon store. Oh.
Wow! Coolmon heard the idea that this was the store they were searching for and decided to lead Rinji in there like the gentlerabbit she was. "Well, neither of us are tamers so...I vote we call it Coolmon and Rinji's Jamming Jives."
...It didn't look too busy, truth be told. And there was all sorts of hardware useful for all kinds of Digimon allover the place. Coolmon actually felt overwhelmed!
