Thankfully for Timothy, Wizardmon still kept a strong hand on the tamer's arm - though, really, the fact that he seemed to be aloof was enough to cause the sorcerer some alarm. Was he so easily distracted? "You feeling alright, there? Hold yourself together, kid."
The tone was direct, and a bit harsh, but justified. After all, with the lot of them heading out into the heart of the beast, one couldn't let their guard down for an instant. Isaac, it seemed, knew this better than anyone. "Don't hesitate to get some distance if you feel pressed." The sorcerer gave a nod to Faluo. "It'll be a slog, but we don't have a choice but to get through it."
Well, wasn't that a boat of confidence?
Thankfully, the small reprieve was enough for the group to somewhat re-orient themselves for the threat at hand. Each of the gunners would keep up a continuous stream of fire, the constant barrage of red bullets hammering through and arcing towards each assailant. Though Isaac may have been able to weave his heads through, the Orochimon's main body would remain his gunner's prime target - meaning it would be quite difficult to fully dodge the assault. Each sway was met with the arms of the Bubbles assailing him to track close enough to his center mass to remain a threat.
That said, the gunner didn't make much effort to move out of the way of Isaac's assault. Rather, the Bubbles simply slipped down, half-submerging itself within the field, concealing the cable underneath. The coil wouldn't catch around the cable, but rather around the center of that Bubbles' body - allowing its cannon to prime and aim directly for the neck of the main head! If Isaac didn't act quick...
Bibi, however, decided to respond far more directly. Once more, those fiery winds carried over the D-Reaper's field, aimed right towards that nest of Bubbles. Hunched so close to the ground and their cables not extended outward, it didn't seem like a bad plan: the fire easily washed over the other two - and at this rate, probably over half of Isaac's body - forcing those two to recede into the field as well. For those two Bubbles, the skin would start to boil and burn, quickly taking the shape of a red, half-deformed mess. Beneath them, however, the cables would start to work on regenerating themselves. It seemed that these particular gunners would have to be uprooted from the ground before they could be taken out for good!
The 'Wolf', cut off by Faluo, gave a harsh growl towards the Crowmon. The wind blades of 'Cross Cutter' met cleanly with that fiery blade in midair, cancelling each-other out in a blast of wind and flame. The beast didn't lose a beat, though: tearing straight for his new target. Just ten feet away, the beast would stand astride on all fours, the tail flickering behind, a quick vibration making it a blur to the eye.
The only hint that something happened would be the last tongues of flame vanishing in the air between himself and the Ultimate - but a moment later, should Crowmon remain still, he'd feel a cutting gale across himself, a powerful and silent wind threatening to tear him asunder with a myriad of small scythes of wind! Should he realize it and try and fly off, well, Bibi and Timothy would be right in the line of fire!
Log:
Upon being attacked, all three 'Bubbles' agents recede into the field, concealing their regenerative cables beneath the surface. Two are damaged by flames, their regeneration stalled by the flames in the area. The third, in Isaac's grip, aims its Decay Cannon at close range towards Isaac's main neck.
Agent-Wolf's fire attack is countered by Crosscutter. The beast takes a stance, and makes a silent wind-based attack, firing it in a straight line towards Crowmon and Garudamon. Upon striking a target, a harrowing gale of sharp winds would begin to tear into their feathers!

Isaac simply smiled at Timothy as he spoke, using at least one of his eight puppet heads to do so. Frankly, it was a little eerie having an unblinking puppet head continuing a conversation while the main body was trying to weave around bullets, but Orochimon had a tendency to enjoy extreme multitasking like that. "I can tell," he said, his voice far more of a hollow whisper without the other eight heads backing it up. "And not half bad so far, either. Just keep it up, because if you turn your back on them for a second . . ."
He didn't need to scar Timothy with the details. Yet.
It wasn't easy for Isaac to dodge the full assault, true, but the flexible body of a snake was still quite the asset in his favor. Bullets still impacted his sides just from the sheer destiny of the stream, but he had done quite the heroic effort of avoiding most of the blows. The impacts that did occur, however, were quite noticeable even if the actual attacks were meager. Red welts started to pop up on Orochimon's sides wherever the Bubbles' attacks had impacted. A slight sizzle sounded out from the area of impact, but Isaac simply grit his teeth and kept pushing on through. Once he had the Bubbles wrestled down, it'd all be worth it.
At least, it would have been if Isaac actually hit his mark. His tail wrapped around the Bubbles' body, Isaac's eyes widening in shock as he realized that he had the wrong location pegged. Fortunately, having eight extra heads meant that his awareness was marginally approved, even if their senses were far diminished compared to the real deal. Isaac quickly dropped and slid back as the Bubbles' cannon moved for his head, allowing Isaac to gracefully slide away from the opened fire.
And promptly slide into the fire that Bibi had unleashed, instead. Isaac's back had skidded right into the extent of Bibi's flaming winds, the Orochimon letting out a sudden, unexpected hiss of pain. He tried to scuttle away from the winds, but if he wanted to keep his grip on the Bubbles he really couldn't get too far away. His lightly-singed back was still too close to comfort to the hot winds, and convection alone was making persisting quite painful.
Isaac could only hope it'd be painful for the Bubble, too. Fortunately, Isaac already had a hold on it, and he wasn't about to let it go. He promptly started lunging to sink the fangs of his other heads into the Bubbles, one by one, putting in as much force as he possibly could to start changing the direction of the grapple. He was already keeping the Bubbles' body above ground with the gripping force of his tail. By adding more force, he hoped to send the Bubbles hurting right into the fiery whirlwind in his stead.
Combat Log: Isaac takes several glancing blows from the Bubbles. It isn't much now, but more intense attacks being aimed to these red welted areas could have repercussions . . . Isaac ducks under the Bubbles' attack, but in the process slides right into the flaming tornado. His back is singed quite painfully, making the Bubbles' sudden counterattack more impactful than either party likely figured. With a grapple already assumed last post, Isaac tries to outmuscle the Bubbles and shove it into the flaming whirlwind. If he can reduce this thing to ashes, cord and all, he'll be all too happy to.

Faluo was about to move, but then realized that what would happen if he did... Damn... His only real strategy here was to take the hit and hope he survives. That wasn't a great choice... But it's what he had... He got in a defensive stance and shut his eyes, he would need a miracle now.
Unluckly for the trio, Timothy didn't have any miracle to help Faluo with... He barely would even have time to react. The attack was way too quick for him to really notice it at all. This was really bad.
Bibi flew down to the ground to assist in the the removal of the bubbles so they may burn. She avoided looking to Faluo, not wanting to see what that attack may ensue. She knew she had to use every once of Faluo's protection to win. She took hold of two of the bubbles and pulled up with all her might in hopes of ripping them out of the ground. As she did this, the tornado would flow across the lower half and go through all three bubbles on more time, hopefully this time, taking them down.

The Bubbles
Despite the fact that the Bubbles were among the D-Reaper's weaker agents, both Bibi and Isaac would quickly be reminded that these were, well, still agents of the D-Reaper. Upon their direct contact, Isaac with his several sets of fangs and Bibi with her claws or talons, they would find themselves rather badly burned at the point of impact - like a chemical burn, one that would easily leave a singe, even on the otherwise inflammable Garudamon. And despite the grip, each of the agents would continue to fire their 'Decay Cannon' - admittedly at a lesser interval than before - as the cords below desperately tried to keep them held within the field.
This would make them feel like very irritating weeds, and the effort to pull them up would take several seconds. But, eventually, each of the three would finally snap from their cords, and be thrust into the flames, where they would turn to a charred black mass of ash. Although...
The Wolf
... Not everyone in the group had a few seconds to spare. Faluo, having taken the full brunt of two of the Agent - Wolf's attacks in a row, would find the last attack quite problematic. If he were a grounded fighter, Faluo may had been able to force his way out of the gale through sheer muscle, with comparatively minimal damage - but trapped in midair? The heavy gusts under his wings would have been like taking wind from his sails. He would have found it very difficult to move...
... And while the other two were still pulling those 'weeds', the wolf's metal tail once more gave a brilliant blue glow. Once more pivoting on his front foot, he turned his blade and gave a heavy slash, sending out a wide arc of blue fire - similar to the first blast - intent on cutting straight through Faluo once more...
Log:
The Bubbles' cords manage to hold for several seconds. In the interval they are still alive, they aim 'Decay cannon' towards the targets attempting to pull them free. With enough effort, they are thrown into the fire!
Faluo is left suspended in a cutting gale! Agent Wolf uses ? ? ? on the suspended target!

A few stray shots from a Bubbles could be shrugged off, but sustained shots? That was a recipe for disaster. Isaac tried to interpose any of his puppet heads in between the Bubbles' stream and his main head, but none of them were really in a very good position to run blocking duty at the moment. With Isaac unfortunately forced to hold his position or risk the grapple being lost, that meant he had to take a few seconds of Bubbles' fire aimed directly at him. Even as he tried to writhe his snakelike head out of the line of fire, a few battered him in the neck, chin, and even cheek.
At least he wouldn't be bearing the pain alone for long. He flicked his tail to his mouth, cutting off his pained hiss as he crunched down on the last of his three demon pills.
Even this precaution was likely taken too slowly. As green fire started to swirl around Isaac, he could faintly make out a blast of blue flame launching towards Faluo. The poor bird was stunned, and with how intensely the flame burned Isaac could tell it wouldn't be pretty. He tried so desperately to force himself to move, but he couldn't. The Digivolution had set in, and his body was paralyzed as the data making it up started to break apart. All he could do was wait for the veil of green flame spread across his body, hoping by the time he recovered he would be able to properly protect Faluo.
As soon as he felt his body solidify, Isaac cut through the cocoon of Digivolution. Where a puppet head once was, now a large, jagged blade had sliced through the flame. Samudramon came roaring out of the sphere of green flame, his jump jets flaring up as he made a beeline rush right for the Wolf. Perhaps it wasn't his smartest decision, but he could barely focus on tactics right now. He just needed to correct this indignity while the agent was hopefully still reeling from its attack.
Combat Log: Orochimon endures some hits from the Bubbles, thankfully peeling it away before the damage could mount up too intensely. Orochimon Digivolves into Samudramon, using its third and final demon pill to do so. Samudramon rushes at Wolf with an Imp-Act in a blind furor. Imp-act: Samudramon lowers down shoulder-first, focusing all of his weight onto a blade-edged shoulder tackle. Potentially Relevant Passive - Ronin’s Revenge: Samudramon cast aside his own honor to better avenge those he cares about. When fighting for personal reasons his speed and attack are boosted, directly tied to how much emotional investment he feels about this particular struggle. Harming loved ones is very ill-advised. Magnitude: 50% boost to attack power and speed if fighting for personal grudges.

Faluo couldn't move! No matter what he did, he just couldn't break free, the wound across his chest earlier was wearing him down and the winds held him still. He stared towards the harbinger of his fate with no ounce of fear in his eyes, however. He wasn't gonna go down fearful, he was gonna fight to the very last breath. That last breath had just so happen to come. With the powerful slash milliseconds away from collision.
Was this the end? Is this what death will feel like? A brilliant ending to one's very thoughts, the deletion of one's body? The bleeding of one's data? It felt so... Empty. Like there was no possible chance of going on. Everything seemed to have stopped, every moment from his past year and a half of living flashed before his eyes. His birth, the time he chomped into a giant robot bunny, the shenanigans they got into, the photos, the games, the adventures with Katsura, Dante, Marshal, Nyao, Wormmon, Coronamon, and everyone else. He saw it all. So was this very moment the time for his story to end?
No. It wasn't. Not without taking at least one more foe with him! Faluo's body glowed a blindingly bright white, bright enough for the entirety of the region to see his glow plain as day. It lit the darkened battlefield of the Forsaken Wasteland. Upon Timothy's wrist, held his Digivice, it glowed a second, smaller star, though just as brightly.
The fire of the slash would collide with the glow and disapate around it as the flames tried to go through their foe. He just needed a few more minutes. That's all Faluo said to himself as the light disipated, the flames vanishing as there was no longer a Crowmon. In his place was a Ravemon, the slash across his chest and the data still bleeding.
Faluo, now a Ravemon, simply stared at the Wolf and growled. He flew in at the Wolf and drew his blade. "Fierce Charge!" He drew his blade and approached The Wolf at lightning fast speeds, going for a single slash across it's facial area. He landed behind the wolf, turned towards it, then got in a defensive stance. "Come fight me, if you dare."
Timothy stared at what had happened to Faluo, this was unbelieveable, Faluo had just about died. In fact, he was still dying as they spoke, he just... Wasn't dead? Okay... Take what you can get. Hope for the best... He was still so worried though. Faluo had to have died to that.
Bibi turned to the Wolf, after what it did to her brother. She was filled with rage. No one beats him up or ruins him other than her! She looked to the Wolf, "Wing Blade!" She shot off a giant vacuum blade at the Wolf.
Once all the attacks went off to the Wolf, if it was still standing, Faluo would be ready. Right as the dust cleared, he'd charge the Wolf and started slashing away. He had to keep the damage going. He also had to buy time. "All of you go! I'll finish off this one. I'm only slowing you all down now." With that, he went back to slashing away at the Wolf to keep it on its toes. Constantly slashing at it's escapes.
Faluo: Fierce Charge: Moves up to the opponent at an incredible rate and slashes with his blade.
Bibi: Wing Blade: Launches Vacuum Blade at Super Speed at the foe.

Oh? It seemed that in driving Faluo into a corner, perhaps the Agent-Wolf had brought along quite an unexpected force. Despite that flaming blue flame etching deep against Faluo's chest, he managed to remain airborne - and in a burst of light, even ascended into his mega form, Ravemon! Observing from the same distance, the beast gave a growl. In the group's panic for their partner's condition, all three quickly brought their attention to the Agent.
Bibi attacked with a Vacuum Blade from behind, the silent attack whistling through the air. Samudramon made his charge, intent on driving straight towards the fight. And Faluo struck, first from the front, and then moved to keep a constant stream of attacks towards the Agent. For the first two, it was all the beast could do to keep himself standing: he ducked low, stepping off to the left as that blade seemed to clip 'something', a hard, ceramic piece falling from its face and breaking against the ground. In this awkward movement, Bibi's 'Wing Blade' sank right through the cable, severing the agent from the D-Reaper's mass...
...
... But it didn't stop. Whereas others would have stopped and gasped for breath, Agent-Wolf didn't seem affected by the separation at all: as Faluo continued his charge, the Agent matched with his own, the metal of his claws and tail glowing with a fierce blue aura. Empowered, these claws clashed with Ravemon's blade head-on: in each exchange, he'd use one set of his front claws to try and 'catch' the blade to push it off to the side, using the other arm to try and slash into Faluo's side! Injured as the Ravemon was, Faluo might find this war of attrition harder and harder to win. Any effort to simply slash at his side would be met with a turn, the bladed tail easily bringing the blade to a draw.
"Ravemon..." The Wizardmon groaned at Faluo's suggestion - did they really have time? It was frustrating, but the Ravemon had a point:
The Optimizer was not going to remain passive, forever! Sensing the appearance of two megas within relative striking distance of the core, the Optimizer started to loom over, harsh electricity pulsing throughout its entire frame!
"Damn it!" The scientist gave an additional swear under his breath! "Now that its tracking us, we can't stay at this range... we'll just get picked off unless we contest that beast directly!"
Agent-Wolf uses K--ise- N--l, bringing himself in a bladed duel with the Ravemon. The cord was severed by Bibi. Something fell from the beast's face with Faluo's first strike. Neither occurrence seems to have slowed the Agent down.
Optimizer is charging!

Isaac let out a small snarl as his attack did its job. It wasn't the satisfying feeling of his bladed shoulder splitting through the agent's flesh, but his displacement of the beast set up perfectly for a wind blade to slice through its cable. It was over! Now they could finally focus on the Organizer!
That would've been great to say. A shame the Wolf hadn't agreed. Even despite its core being severed, the agent seemed perfectly fine. The situation was all too familiar to Isaac, and he found himself muttering a single hated name as he glared at the wolf.
"D-Evidramon."
He wanted so badly to target this wolf, a parody of another Digimon much like the parody of his own form. Everything he couldn't do to D-Evidramon, he wanted to do to it. He wanted to slice it. Sear it. Reduce it to little more than the goo it came forth from. However, another presence snapped Isaac out of his thoughts of revenge. The Organizer had arrived, and it was charging up something massive. Isaac's bloodthirst had to take a backseat to the fact that, if it went unopposed, he'd kill the now-Ravemon that he had been trying to keep safe. For now he'd have to just trust in Bibi and Faluo, even if he worried for their safety.
He sighed and turned to the Organizer, crossing his two blades together to form a bow. "Oh no you don't," he hissed, turning the bow in search for a better angle as he leaped up at the beast. His jump jets flared to life so that he could start orbiting around the Reaper's mightiest agent, aiming precisely between its skin-like shielding to try and singe its cord with arrows of green fire. Much like the Bubbles he had fought earlier, an arrow or two wouldn't do much on its own. In aggregate, however, perhaps the damage could start opening the door for a powerful slash to end it.
Samudramon breaks from the fight to instead target the Organizer, floating around it to fire at the gaps in its cord's shielding. Phosphorous Bow: Samudramon holds his blades like a bow, launching arrows of burning atmospheric energy.

Faluo was easily deflecting each and every hit while switching back into offense in this battle of exactly how fast once could strike each other. Well, that's what we would be saying if he was at one-hundred percent, or even well... A few moments ago. As the fight drew on, the claws slowly started getting through. He was gonna lose if he kept this up. None of them were particularly hard hits, but they were seeping through, and that was bad enough.
Bibi began to approach and get ready to assist Faluo when he shouted again, "Bibi, I swear upon Yggdrasil's data, if you come any closer, I'll tear you apart!" This had definitely put a stop in the Garudamon's tracks. What could he mean by that? She was currently at a loss of words for why he'd say that.
"Go, kill the big one, they're guarding it. If it doesn't work, we're all dead anyways, and who knows, it may take this one that I'm holding off with me." As Faluo spoke, he only seemed slightly distracted from the clash, just enough for the hits to start seeping in until he took the opportunity to try and catch both the claws, for just a moment. He was holding the back of the blade with his free hand, pushing up against the claws to keep them from dropping on him. He took this opportunity to look back at Bibi and her two passengers, his data bleeding up into the heavens occasionally blocking his face. "Get out of here and save us all. I'll hold this mutt off... I better get a statue for this." As he spoke the last sentence, he was already turning back to his foe. Those few seconds were still too much time for him to be open and now was the time for him to act.
Bibi simply nodded, flying off after Isaac. She was oddly serious now. She knew what she had to do. She started picking up speed until she was right by Isaac's side, "Let's stop this thing, now."
Faluo now released his guard on the mutt and leaped back with the intention of switching to offense. The second his back pedal had made it's course, he instantly went back in, now on his terms. He decided that since flying down low might present him with an opening to the foe's belly, it'd also make him wide open to any sort of pounce, his best opportunity would be from above where he can utilize his mobility to it's fullest. First, the smokescreen. "Blast Wing!" As he passed over the wolf, he'd unleash a barrage of explosive feathers to not only damage the wolf, but to collide with the area around the wolf to pick up a large cloud of sand and create a makeshift smokescreen for himself. After that, he'd start making loops around his foe to help randomize his attack pattern and provide him more openings.
Timothy stared back at the fight as they flew away and towards the Core. The two forces there were clearly clashing in an all out battle now. He just hoped Faluo could win. The red data particles were still floating up above the battlefield, it made a small column and it's own small flare of where the location of this battle was being held. He took a breath and refocused himself, looking back towards the core. "Come on Faluo..."
Bibi began making evasive maneuvers once they were certainly close enough to the Optimizer to get hit. She instantly went with the very unoriginal solution of dealing with these cords. "Fire Hurricane!" She shot a third tornado of fire towards the Organizer's cord. The flames should be able to get around most of the armor, unless there was some sort of different shielding method. He only other worry was that it might not even stop it, but make it mobile or something.
Faluo holds the claws off to give an extra sentence of speech, then flies over the Wolf, using blast wing to damage and/or blind the Wolf and then circles the wolf to get evasive and to randomize his next approach.
Blast Wing: Shoots explosive feathers from his left wing towards his opponent.
Bibi: Flies towards the Optimizer and begins flying in an evasive pattern during her approach. Afterwards, she fires off another fire hurricane (I forgot to measure the cooldown, but it should be ready now)
Fire Hurricane (1/2): Throws a massive tornado of fire at the opponent that will last two turns, then has a turn cooldown afterwards.

The Optimizer
Well, it seemed the two groups had picked their holes: the imposing Optimizer would be handled by Bibi and Isaac, Timothy and Wizardmon in tow on the Garudamon's shoulder. Isaac had the forethought to take to the skies, and start to orbit around the larger creature. In a way, it made sense - such a moving target would be harder to hit, right?
"Damn it, he's rushing," Wizardmon swore. "Staying airborne like that is the worst thing you can do against an electrical opponent. If he's struck in the sky, his armor won't be able to discharge the electricity in the floor. He'll simply be baked alive." Actually, that was also a fault with Bibi's plan, but any sort of electrical hit would likely only affect the area the strike hit - not to mention that Wizardmon could create the occasional barrier to shield the three of them.
That said, they had committed to their plan: Bibi let forth a powerful, blazing tornado towards the strong cord beneath the Optimizer, whereas Isaac strafed and attempted to skirt around the powerful guardian. The Organizer reached full charge, however, both of its hands sparking with powerful energy. The left claw swiped forward, the hand slipping right into the center of that fiery maelstrom. With a single 'crack', the energy in that left hand discharged, a powerful electrical burst disrupting the wind and sending the flames into a fiery gust.
The right hand, however, cared not for those Phosphorous Arrows. They would sink right into the core - indeed, damaging the cables - but the Optimizer, groaning with pain, was not slowed down. His right hand shot out, intent to grasp Isaac right in his grasp, tracking his movement while doing so. However, merely dodging the hand was not enough: should the hand come within even ten feet of Isaac, the electricity inside would discharge out towards the metallic Digimon in a single static burst, like a powerful Tesla Coil!
Agent-Wolf
Agent-Wolf seemed to have the upper hand for those few moments, scoring an occasional hit on Faluo's flanks. None were decisive enough to end the fight outright, but that wound from before would be joined with these scratches, as well as the red plaque that would continue to burn and eat away at his sides. The monster didn't let up, taking full advantage of those words as he spoke.
Eventually, Ravemon was forced to backpedal - he intended to use his advantage of wings to try and pick the opponent from a distance. So, a projectile based attack? The Wolf's eyes leveled in focus on Faluo, a tempest of unseen wind already surrounding his tail. Just as that wing would beat, the beast pivoted, letting out his torrent of cutting blades up once more - this time, right into that mass of explosive feathers! Caught in the gale, the winds would send these scattering in all directions, some landing around and singing the Wolf, others even thrown right back towards the Ravemon! The intended smokescreen wouldn't be dense enough for either to lose sight of the other - and now the beast was chasing after the Ravemon, fangs gritted tight.
At the very least, he'd be leading the wolf away from the fight...
The Optimizer uses 'Hand of Mjolnir'! Fire Hurricane dissipated with little effect. Phosphorous Arrow lands, as the Optimizer intends to electrocute Isaac on the spot!
Agent-Wolf uses a cutting wind attack to scatter Blast Wing! Damage to Agent-Wolf is reduced, and a few feathers skip back towards the Ravemon. Both maintain full sight of the other fighter.

Those groans of pain that the Optimizer made were so satisfying. This behemoth was the last thing standing in between the Isaac and the core, and each shot of his was clearly ringing its bell. It wasn't even attacking yet! It was just slowly clenching its hands, as if taking forever to even react to Isaac's presence. If he could keep up this pace, maybe he would bring it to its knees before it even had a chance to strike. If he couldn't, at least he'd be able to take his sweet time hurting it. All of the fury and sorrow that the D-Reaper had foisted onto him was now being seared away in bursts of green fire, and while Samudramon's mask may have obscured all facial expression he could feel a grin spreading ear-to-ear.
Then he saw the electricity spark to life in the Optimizer's hands. He saw it first grasp Bibi's hurricane, dispelling it effortlessly with just a single pop of discharged energy. Then he saw the next hand shoot out towards him, its crimson fingertips practically crackling with electricity. In the air like this, Isaac knew it was no question. He'd be fried beyond repair if he even risked approach. And with how fast the hand shot out, approach was nearly inevitable.
Even at a distance like this, the air was practically filled with static. Isaac's silver hair stood on end, as if he was in a state of shock. Maybe that wasn't entirely inaccurate, as Isaac aimed his rocket pack in the other direction and hurtled away from the hand at all of his might. He tried to wave back and forth, but the Reaper calculated with all the unfeeling precision of a computer. Even motion was echoed, every feint was ignored, and no matter how he tried to move the Reaper was hot on his heels. The Optimizer's arms were long and his swipe as fast, and even as Isaac pushed forward at full speed ahead he could feel himself losing ground fast. Fifty feet . . . forty feet . . . thirty feet . . . twenty feet . . . Even now electricity was jolting at him, not the attack's full payload but little bursts of static that sent shivers down his spine. His black armor was sooty and singled in parts, and if this was enough to hurt him he didn't even want to think about what the full extent of this attack could do.
He looked at one of his blades, sighing as he realized the inevitable. If he was going to make it out of this alive, he'd need to make some sort of discharge. That was why he took the sword in his less-dominant hand and flung it right by the Optimizer's hand. It was the sword of a Mega level Digimon, tested in countless fights as a Combat Species. However, the Optimizer's hand was larger than Isaac's entire body, even in this form. He had no idea whether such power would obliterate one of his weapons of choice, but there was no time for regrets. Once the hand's energy was spent, Isaac would need to move.
He rocketed back towards the Optimizer, weaving unpredictably to try and throw off its trail. All he would need to do is take advantage of the time between it's powerful attacks to make a direct Imp-act with its cable, ideally right on one of the spots that he had already singed . ..
Samudramon backs up from the Optimizer's attack, static electricity battering and bruising him all the while. Fearing the attack's inevitable approach, Isaac throws one of his blades right into the attack's kill range to force the Optimizer to discharge its energy into a single ungrounded object. Once the Hand's power is spent, Isaac rockets forward, aiming to slip between the Optimizer's flesh ribbons and hit its connection cables with an Imp-act. Imp-act: Samudramon lowers down shoulder-first, focusing all of his weight onto a blade-edged shoulder tackle.

Great, so the tornado of fire didn't work. That plan was a flop, what sort of plan B is there? Well for started, it will involve Bibi holding herself in place while all the counter wind coming her way. She also had to shield Timothy and Wizardmon.
Once that was done, she still had to deal with the next problem. Actually harming this thing. She looked out and hoped that Isaac could deal with distracting the monstrosity. "Wing Blade!" She shot out a vacuum blade towards the cord in hopes of damaging that cord. She wasn't counting on much though.
Timothy was definitely glad for Bibi's protective nature. It was warm, but he needed to stay alive so he can help her when she needs it. He next plan looked hopeful at least.
Faluo was in the usual state of dying. It wasn't the best state, but at least the wolf was distracted. He had another strategy to try though now. As he made his way away, he took a step, and did an about face and turned towards the wolf to jump at it as it approached in hopes of getting the jump on it. "Fiery Slash!"
His blade caught ablaze and he went to slash at Wolf's eyes. Afterwards, he made a lot of sudden, quick movements to try to maintain an evasive series of movements and hopefully back away from a counter attack.

The Optimizer
'Twenty feet'.
That was about the range that Isaac was forced to use his counter, and in a way, it was a clever trick: by forcing the discharge with a clump of metal, Isaac could have effectively disabled the Optimizer's main mode of attack, until it was able to charge up its electricity once more. It would offer both Bibi and the Samudramon time to get in close, and deal severe damage to this key D-Reaper unit. Heck, it was doubtful that there was anything else this powerful hiding in the field.
But, at this time, Isaac may have wanted to remember a bit of what his brother told him of Thrall: the closer he was to his opponent, the less good it was going to do to try and smother the current. Isaac would likely regret his action a moment later, just as the electricity arced off of the Optimizer's claw, pulsing heavily through the powerful metal blade... before repeating, and arcing out straight towards Isaac in a sickening display of chain lightning! The damage was definitely less than what it could have been should have he taken the blast directly, but more than what he would have taken had his boots been on the ground. As it was, the electricity would likely pulse right through the mega's armor, damaging and potentially seizing the muscles of the Digimon underneath.
Bibi would find marginally more success: as the Wing Blade soared through, the Optimizer lowered its opposite arm to block, its fingers severing clean from the 'knuckle'. It seemed that it was concerned about more damage to the cord - should Isaac somehow manage to hold it together, perhaps he'd be able to get a fair bit of damage in!
Agent-Wolf
Faluo's next strategy was decidedly more reckless than his last - or perhaps he thought there was simply no chance if he stayed entirely on the defensive. However, this did not mean that Agent-Wolf was going to slow his approach nor back down from an opportunity. The moment he could manage, the agent already coated his tail with a fierce, azure flame, one that even reflected its color off of the crimson surface below.
The Ravemon made his stand, turning to slash right towards the agent's face.
The agent, in turn, ducked his head low and to the left, letting that searing blade cut through the top of his shoulder, and down his right flank. Rather than having the feel of the D-Reaper's mass, Ravemon would feel like he had cut through actual flesh and bone - well, could he have even told the difference. For the Agent, it mattered not: by being reckless, he would try and make his approach, pivoting on his front foot to swing his blazing tail around once more.
His intent? To swing that flaming tail counter-clockwise, aimed to slice right above the Ravemon's hip - and if possible, slice straight through his body.
Indecipherable static would fill his ears: "✡︎□︎◆︎ ♌︎♋︎⬧︎⧫︎♋︎❒︎♎︎📬︎📬︎📬︎ ■︎□︎⬥︎ ♓︎ ■︎♏︎♏︎♎︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎❒︎ ♎︎♋︎⧫︎♋︎ ⧫︎□︎ ♒︎♏︎♋︎●︎." Log:
Isaac's effort to throw the blade has half-backfired: the electricity arcs to the blade, then towards the Samudramon's main body!
Bibi's attack strikes through the fingers of the Optimizer!
Faluo's attack has struck Agent-Wolf - who grits his teeth and, instead of blocking, tries to force through to an opening to attack with his own flaming blade!

Isaac cheered as he realized that his plan had succeeded. The lightning had been swallowed up entirely by his sword, only a few sparking remnants at the end of his blade remaining. He dropped his guard, jump pack roaring to life as he prepared to blow right past the sword and towards the Optimizer's most vulnerable region.
If only he had more than a basic understanding of physics. Then he would know that lightning didn't just stop at one target. The conduit had simply changed from the Optimizer's hand to Samudramon's sword, which was now chock full of ions and perfectly in range of Samudramon's very, very metallic body. It practically hung in the air from all of the static surrounding it, only to rotate towards Isaac and unleash him with a horrific blast of energy right to the back.
Isaac let out a scream of pain, the voice of the boy and the voice of the dragon blending into each other in perfect concert. It was the first time Isaac had heard his own voice since he had been stuck in Digimon form god knows how long ago. Pixels of data started peeling from his back where the attack had hit, forming a small trail behind him as he continued hovering airborne. His legs and arms seized up, leaving him almost folded into the shape of a bullet. He could feel tears of pain stinging at the corner of his eyes, and his rocket pack was starting to sputter as it tried to leave him airborne. He was in grievous pain. He couldn't attack, or even bring himself to move. And he was a sitting duck for whatever the Optimizer would try and do next. However, there was one thing that neither Isaac or the Optimizer could've taken into account.
Where Isaac was going, he didn't need limbs.
His rocket pack flickered a few more times, then sparked back to life. His shoulder, already lowered, and elbow, rigidly jutted forward, continued to point dangerously towards the weakest looking spot on the Optimizer's cord. His eyes narrowed hatefully, then squeezed shut as he braced for impact. With what energy he could bring into his body he wrenched his mouth open, roaring hatefully at the top of his lungs. As he roared, so too did his rocket pack roar, the green atmospheric energy fueling his approach causing him to glow as brightly as a dying star.
At this point, any further damage to his body was acceptable. The Optimizer meant endgame, or at least close to it. All he would need to do was spell its end, and whatever was left would be sure to fall next. For that reason, he let out a triumphant laugh as he felt his barbed shoulder and elbow make contact. He had no idea what the extent of the damage was yet, but he could feel paydirt and that was what mattered to him. With no other recourse but to continue he kept pressing forward, waiting until either the Reaper broke or he did.
As he pressed on, he kept his remaining sword clutched tightly in his paralyzed hand. Were he able to swing it, he would definitely follow up with a brutal strike. Instead, he could only use it as a focus of sorts, hoping his grip would be as iron-clad as his will.
Ever-so slightly, particles of atmospheric energy began to coalesce into the sword.
Samudramon takes a direct hit. He is hurt very badly, and can't move his limbs. However, his already-activated rocket pack continues to carry him forward, allowing him to slam into the Reaper's cord with reckless abandon. Unable to retreat from his offensive, or even muster up a proper attack, Isaac begins preparing a very feeble Terra Blade. Terra Blade: Samudramon raises his swords skywards, empowering them with atmospheric energy before slamming them into an enemy. Duration: One Post (Charge). Cooldown: Two Posts.

This was crazy, but they finally got a hit in! Bibi knew that they could win now that it was possible to damage it! It appeared to be utilizing everything on it to protect the cord. She could use that to her advantage. She needed to wait for an opportunity and she might be able to start disabling it's limbs, thus making it easier to hit the cord.
Though she needed to hit harder, she didn't want to just be effective, she wanted to make sure it was done for. If Faluo could push himself to Mega in his state, then she should be able to do it even easier. Well... In theory. Well... She had to do something, she had to think about something, wh- oh right, her twin is literally dying as she thinks... Oh crap, her twin is literally dying as she thinks, maybe she should stop and just make it happen...
She then saw her opportunity appear before her eyes. Isaac went in again and she knew it would react. She just needed to pump out more power now! If she didn't literally all her family could die. Faluo was dying, and Timothy could be next! She had to do this. She wasn't gonna hold any possible reserve back. At that moment, she glowed a bright white. It was her turn now. "Garudamon digivolve to..
Timothy's digivice glowed once more almost blinding him again. He suddenly realized he was sitting atop a massive Digimon digivolving and it was all just white below him as they were all cocooned in flames, though it didn't seem hot, or dangerous... It was comforting... This is odd, Bibi's body changed from a fearsome Eagle-like monstrosity on two legs to something more fitting to a bir- that's a lot of wings. The glow they were sitting on slowly vanished around them as the wings appeared golden, a golden helmet was in front of the two passengers, and the light ended right under Timothy.
"Hououmon!" The phoenix appeared from the fiery cocoon and flew towards where she predicted the Optimizer would attack Isaac from and took a breath. "Crimson Flame!" An enormous cone of fire erupted from Bibi's beak, she was breathing a massive blast right above Isaac since that would be the move viable place to strike, and if it didn't come that way, she'd end up hitting the cord anyways, thus killing at least one (possibly two) bird with one stone.
Faluo's plan had backfired, and that gorey sound was disgusting. Though that didn't matter, he had to keep his movements going if he was gonna beat the wolf, he got in close and now was his chance. However bad this was, he could pull through, and the wolf's one mistake proved that he had a chance.
The wolf began a counter-clockwise slash to his side, he was right handed and his blade wasn't blocked. The wolf left it's entire head wide open in hopes of a deathly attack. However, it did have a way of being blocked without losing the opening, Faluo didn't like it, but he had to try. He extended his left arm out to the Wolf's slash and used his off-hand as a way to stop the slash from moving and to hold the wolf still as he went in for this.
He let the slash cut into his arm, then latched onto the tail with his clawed hand. It hurt a ton, but he had to do what he had to do to win now, nothing else mattered. With his right arm, he rose it and stabbed down at the hopefully disabled wolf. "Celestial Blade!" Once the blade had been shoved deep into whatever it hits, it would shoot off a violent bolt of lightning out from it, from within a foe, it could fry them. One the outside, it'd still hurt, but not nearly as badly.
Bibi digivolved into Hououmon and then used Crimson Flame (A massive cone of fire towards a targeted location) in hopes of hitting and roasting either the cord or a part of the Optimizer.
Faluo used his left arm as a shield from the slash the wolf was sending out to keep an opening to deal some heavy damage with a Celestial Blade (striking the opponent with the sword and emitting a dark lightning from the blade) in hopes of evening the odds a little or even more depending of effectiveness.
Author's note: Sorry this took a while, took an unofficial break from everything last week and grinded in Warframe whenever I was home.
