He did not know their imminent drives nor alignment, but one thing was certain. If the dark spires were not stopped, it would spell the doom of everyone and everything.

Nodding firmly to Toki, he realized that the lad had his heart at the right spot, but still needed some bravado to beef it up. Though considering how admirably the spirit-wielder had fought today, there was no doubt that this was not a trial he could not triumph over himself. As for John and his partner Casimeir the Tylomon, it was obvious that the aquatic warrior required assistance, and of course Tahir was more than happy to oblige. Approaching the duo, only a single instance of his Stimpak Mist sufficed to give Cas back his steadfastness.

There was bound to be banter during their moments of respite, but ultimately there was yet their prime task which had to be completed. At a leisurely pace, they steadily cracked the black tower without any interference by another corrupted sentinel. Eventually, it collapses as intended, causing it to break down into uncountable particles of data that quickly faded back into whatever life force stream their universe fueled. Perhaps next time, this essence would become something more pleasant, like a fern or digi-dove.

But as many things, that was a section of a different chapter in the chronicles of digital reality.
