Tink's Tropical Paradise~ (open)

Is it a bird? Is it a bug? No, it's a bite-sized blondie with a green bow and a tired yet excited smile, coming for a landing to rest her glowing fairy wings. She has picked one of the most gorgeous islands of the already beautiful tropical Binary Archipelago as her recovery spot. The sun shines bright on the sandy shores she swoops over, the bustling tourist town just ahead with the lush verdant landscape of the mainland in the distance.
"Ooh," she coos excitedly as she spies a barely busy restaurant with outdoor seating, "Just what I need, food and sun~" She swoops down into an empty chair and reclines as she waits to be waited on. Being only about six inches tall, the chair dwarfs her, looking almost as if a little girl forgot her doll. Her teal sleeveless top and green shorts show her to be ready for vacation, though her gauntlets and huge boots don't show the same preparedness.
"Wait... is this a check-in restaurant or a 'choose a seat' restaurant?"

When something new catches Haru's eye, she was the type to immediately drop whatever she was doing and investigate. She was always open to new avenues in life... and well, the Digital World was almost oversaturated with new sights. When it came to the fantasy-like environments or even more stylized real-world style areas, there wasn't really a single thing that wasn't making Haru "ooh" or "aah" in wonder.
The gogglehead-wearing dork was wandering aimlessly around the resort isle-like area of the pelago, her eyes widened in wonder at both the briny ocean-air and the breathtaking view of the Digital World's ocean not far off from the seaside town. She was still garbed in her regular attire, not exactly tourist tier yet. "Tawna, I can't believe your world is this pretty! I mean... This is like the kinda place I've DREAMED going to!"
Trailing by the girl (somewhat slowly and grumpily) was a Meicoomon, a rather dull look on the Champion's face, a sunhat haphazardly placed on their head (and not particularly willingly). It was somewhat clear they didn't share their tamer's ethusiasm. "Yeah. Sure is. When do we go home?"
Despite the feline's negative attitude, Haru didn't seem too phased, her attention drawn to a restaurant. "Aww, you need to cheer up... How about we just go some grub? Cats like food right?" she asked, wondering how Digimon cuisine tasted...
Begrudgingly, Tawna seemed to relent at the comment about food, sighing as she followed Haru to the quaint little restaurant. Haru straight up takes a seat down (which could potentially be unfortunate for a certain tiny fae-like Digimon, she had not bothered to look at said seat), Tawna hopping onto another nearby seat.

"What's taking so long," Tinkermon whines, face contorted in an impatient frown. "Where's my food? Or menu? Or anyth-" It then dawned on her that she never even checked whether they were open or not. That is probably good information to know. Well, at least the weather was nice, and she can rest after that long flight. Perhaps it is time to dream of food while she waits for the opportunity to have real food.
Tink closes her eyes and relaxes, angry features softening. "Cheesecake... pie... mountains of cookies... maybe some milk or tea to go with?" Visions of what she could possibly have danced through her eyelids, the thought that they might not serve any of those not once crossing her mind. "And the waiter could feed them to me... give me a wing massage... and find me so cute that it pays me instead of the other way around~" Skewed fantasies are always relaxing.
She twitches as she senses a presence, her eyes flickering open. "Oh hey," she sleepily mutters, "It must be the waiter! Oh waiter, I'm ready for-" In her grogginess, she fails to notice how quiet she is speaking or how the orange grumpy cat or human don't seem to notice her - until she sees the human girl turning around and about to sit on her. "You're not a waiter! Hey, this seat's taken! Don't sit on meeeeeee!"

Haru paused sitting down as she jolted slightly hearing a small voice call desperately out to her, she turning around to see a tiny human-like Digimon with bright-yellow insectoid wings. "O-oh god! I-I'm sorry!" she immediately apologized, having just realized she came very close to just sitting on the poor fae girl.
Tawna's pessimistic attitude seemed to slightly lighten up, the feelers by her neck twitching slightly as the slightest of coy cat smiles appeared on the maine coon's face. "You need to watch where you sit human. I saw her easily."
"Th-then why didn't you tell me if you KNEW she was there?!" the human girl exclaimed, a bit taken aback by how callous her partner was. She almost SAT on this girl here!
"Because, I thought it'd be funny."
Haru could only let out a sigh (taking another seat down) as she glanced down at the small faerie Digimon, an empathetic look on her face. "I-I'm so sorry... I legit didn't see you! It's my fault there..."

That was a close one! Because of that... human... Tink was almost a Tinkermon pancake! "You... you almost sat on me," she quivers, eyes wide and teary. "I was so scared!" While this was sort of true, she is greatly exaggerating her emotional state. She stares up at Haru, placing her hands over her heart meekly, wings fluttering in mock panic. Although she must admit, meeting a human IS a bit of a shock.
Then Tawna mentions how she thought it would be funny. For just a second, Tink glares daggers at the cat digimon. This expression quickly morphed to one of emotional pain. "you... you thought it would be funny? You... YOU MEANIEEEEEE!" Tears start flowing down the fairy's cheeks, 'heartbroken' from that terrible Meincoomon's words. "Why would you do thaaaaat?"
Her tears slow down to a small trickle, then eventually stopped, though her doe-eyed expression of fragile innocence remains armed and dangerous. "It... it's okay... y-you didn't mean it... it was an accident right? You wouldn't be mean enough to sit on me on purpose would you?"

Haru's face was flush from embarassment, not only for almost flattening the poor girl (so small...), but also due to her partner's rudeness. The moment she saw the fae wince up and begin crying though, her embarassment turned into justified anger directed at the feline. "Tawna! Apologize now!"
Tawna actually seemed taken by surprise by her tamer's reaction, it being among the first times they've seen her genuinely upset. "Wh-what? I didn't do anything though."
"It was still really rude! She could have been hurt if she had not spoke up!" Haru exclaimed, clearly quite furious with the cat. Tawna was... a work-in-progress when it came to proper manners. She was about the only one they ever seemed to be not openly hostile or mischevious towards.
The Meicoomon's face seemed to wince, their cross-eyed pupils darting around slightly as they eventually sighed. "... Ugh." they mutter before glancing down at the Tinkermon, the words coming out of their mouth sounding very forced. "I'm sorry."
Haru could only let out a sigh directed towards the Champion level. "We're gonna to have to work on that sincerity of yours." she half-heartedly comments before glancing back at the small fae. "Of course I would not! I mean... I'd imagine it'd be painful! I mean, even though I am not that heavy... or wait, am I?" she exclaimed, but soon grew sidetracked as she seemed to for a moment check her figure...
Tawna could only let out a shrug.

The twin apologies soften Tink's false upsetness just a bit. She wasn't sure if the other Digimon was sincere, but knew that the human definitely was. There was nothing she could do with Meincoomon, but perhaps the human would be nice to her. "I... I forgive you. You didn't think it would hurt me right... Tawna?" That was the name the human called the Meincoomon right? "And..."
Haru's assurance that it was an accident led to a talk about her weight. Unexpected. "Oh good! Thank you!" Tink buzzes up to Haru and hugs her arm tightly. "I knew you were a good person! And... I bet you aren't that heavy, you don't look it at all! I didn't mean to say anything that would make you think you were fat when you aren't! That would be mean!" Tink looks embarrassed, cheeks flushed as she lets go of Haru's arm and puts her left hand behind her head. "I just meant I'm so small and tiny and stuff. That's why I was scared."
She then floats back a little bit and extends her tiny right hand. "My name is Tink! What's your name? I've... never met a human before..."

"I'd be disappointed if it did." Tawna somewhat snidely commented, though she was not lying about that. Any Digimon that was at least a Rookie should be at least fine just beeing sat on... by a human no less.
Haru sighed slightly, glancing down at Tink. "I'm sorry, Tawna's not bad... but she has difficulty with people." Haru apologized, admittingly quite aware of her partner's rather anti-social nature. They somewhat reminded of herself, back when she was not quite as nice a person... If someone like herself could improve as a person, she hoped that even Tawna could as well.
She couldn't help but smile at just how GODDAMNED cute Tink was acting, happy to meet a friendly face. It seemed that not every Digimon was exactly "nice" to humans such as herself... and well, she honestly craved attention like potential friendships whenever possible. Digimon were kinda just like humans after all... well not really, but she disgressed. "It's alright! I think if I were in your position, I'd also had been scare out of my mind!" she spoke, offering Tink a hand to offer a handshake... before realizing how stupid that was and instead changed it to merely offering a finger. "Anyway! My name's Haru, and that's Tawna! To be honest, I'm really new to the Digital World and Digimon in general... you all are so cool-looking!" she happily greeted Tink (Tawna simply adjusting their vision to the side in an apathetic manner), smiling gleefully. "What kind of Digimon are you Tink? I know like Tawna is like... a Maykuumon?"
"Meicoomon. Champion level." The feline swiftly corrected Haru before turning their attention away.
"Y-yeah... Meicoomon. Still not really sure about the whole level thing." Haru could not help but huff, a slight look of bemusement at her partner's grumpiness.

Tawna was right. Getting sat on would have been more annoying than painful, though Tink wasn't thinking about that at the time. Now that she thinks about it, she would have been okay... but that doesn't mean she'll let the human know.
Tink accepts the finger-handshake eagerly, giving Haru her best smile. "It is wonderful to meet you Haru! And I'm sure it will be nice to meet Tawna when they aren't so grumpy at me! Welcome to the super amazing Digital World!" She was surprised to hear that she was 'cool-looking'; she does a little twirl in the air so Haru can admire her from all angles, glittery shiny specks of fairy dust floating down off her wings. "You really think so~? Thanks~!"
Tink then ponders about what to say next. Should she give them her life's story or just what they asked? Perhaps somewhere in between. "I'm Tinkermon," she replies with a shrug, "Rookie Level. Though... I was something else at one point, I think higher than Rookie Level, but that was another life ago and I don't remember the details."

Haru nodded happily, smiling at perhaps her half-foot friend. "You ARE cool! In our world, fairies are just a myth... It's like every little girl's dream to meet a fairy!" she giddily spoke, a bit of nostalgia washing over her as she thought about little Haru. She would have been screaming her head off in excitement if she knew that her own little dreams and fancies would in a way come true in the far future. Then came a rather... interesting statement from Tink. "A- another life?" Haru stammered, somewhat skeptically. She understood Digimon were very weird, but to THAT degree? That seemed a bit absurd... even for Digimon. "Are you telling me Digimon have past lives?"Tawna while had been silent for the most part, she seemed slightly more interested in the conversation. "Well... yes. When we Digimon expire, we simply turn to data. Our data if it isn't deleted or absorbed eventually then reforms into a Digi-egg, from which we are then reborn." the feline calmly spoke, her feelers seeming twitching about as if in interest despite the Meicoomon's blank face. "Is that not humans how reincarnate?"Haru seemed to deadpan, that information being very surreal... adding more the strangeness of this world and it's inhabitants. She shook the feeling away, glancing back at the two. "Uhh... no? I mean, there's never been anything to indicate that we reincarnate? I mean... we don't exactly hatch out of eggs."Tawna just seemed to squint at Haru judgmentally. "Gross." she spoke before turning her head around, noticing a Depthmon waiter lurking nearby inside the building they were outside of. "Haru, I was promised food. Order us something."

Tink's eyes sparkle as she hears the news - human girls adore fairies! She can be popular among the non-digital beings! Could this really be true? A world where she could be adored? Maybe she should go there? But... she still needs to find her 'friends' if that's what they were, and before that, her memories. Speaking of which...
She then receives even more surprising news. "Humans... don't reincarnate? Or hatch from eggs?" Tink gasps, pondering the implications. How could this even be possible? Is it even possible? "Then... what happens at the beginning and end? You come from nothing and turn into nothing? That... sounds... ahahahaa!" Her sudden seriousness vanishes as quickly as it came. She falls over with tears of laughter. "You almost tricked me there! You're funny, Haru!" Her laughing slows down as she slowly stands up to her impressive half-foot height, then flies up to eye level. "I like you!"
Tawna seems to notice something, so Tink looks in that direction. The waiter! The place IS open after all! She waves like crazy to get its attention. "Helloooo, Mister or Miss Waitermon, over here, yoohoo!"

Haru could not help but laugh a bit awkwardly, perhaps simply because her "trick" wasn't really intended to be a trick. Guess it works the other way on both ends... There didn't seem to be a lot either side really knew much about the other. "Hehe ~ Well... the truth is a little more complicated, probably strange to you guys!" she chimed, glancing over at the sight of a piscean-looking Digimon that seemed to be in waiter's uniform, noticing them. How exactly they glided towards them as if swimming through the air was beyond her...
"Ah! We were not expecting visitors... It's not yet quite tourist season yet." The Depthmon spoke in a feminine voice, curtseying towards their table. "Welcome to the White Whamon. How may I start you gals off? Drinks?" they spoke as they passed a couple of menus to everyone (and conveniently a teeny tiny-sized one for Tink) and soon pulled out a notepad and pen.
"Uh... fruit punch sounds good!" The girl spoke, the waitress etching it out in their notes.
"Beer." Tawna dully added in, earning her both a weird look from Haru and a slight glance from the Depthmon (though it was hard to tell their expression underneath their mask). "I AM a Champion level." they reiterated slightly irritably, the Depthmon seemingly shrugging accepting this answer as they jotted it down.

It seems humans and digimon were very different from one another. Tink would have to learn more, some day. As it is, it appears to be time to order. There was even a menu specifically for her! It is like they knew she was coming! Or maybe they just had those for smaller digimon, but she likes the idea of being just that popular. She opens up the menu and listens to the Depthmon. "Hm... do you have any teas, like ginger tea or apple tea? If not, fruit punch works for me too! Or... ooh, chocolate milk! Yes! Tea or chocolate milk! Both go good with... well... whatever I'm going to order!"
Tink's tiny head turns towards Haru, although she still is scanning the selection of food in the menu. "Soooo..." she asks drawn out, trailing off for a bit. ".... um... how'd ya end up in the Digital World Haru? Was there a magic rainbow that you slid down, or a giant trampoline send you alllll the way up to the sky?" The answer was probably less fanciful, she knew, but she both wanted to act cute, and thought those ideas were kinda funny. It would be so hilarious if it was something like that. "Tell me tell me tell me! Pleeaaaaase~?"

"We offer both options. If you are interested, I recommend our passionfruit tea... grown across the islands of the archipelago. A very exotic flavor in it's own right." The Depthmon suggested, nodding at the Tinkermon's ramblings. "Let me start you off with some chocolate milk though and give you some time to think." she spoke before swimming back to the inner part of the restaurant.
With that, it was back to the three of them. Haru let out a slightly sleepy yawn, having been walking all afternoon. "Ohhh...! Uh, we took the train to the Digital World." she began to try and answer Tink's question.
"Trailmon." Tawna corrected.
"Err, yeah! The Trailmon actually! There's like a Trailmon station back in like the mainland here and back at my city in my world. The one in ours though is hidden though... I guess because Digimon aren't actually known by everyone. I think only humans like me can access the one to my world though..." she began to explain, a bit thankful that fortunately the Trailmon rides were free to-and-from the Human and Digital World.
"Not that it stops all Digimon from reaching your world by... other ways." Tawna quietly added, their tail flooping about anxiously as their attention was primarily directed to her menu.

Passionfruit tea sounds delicious, but starting off with chocolate milk would probably be Tink's best option. "Thank you so much! I'll think about it!" She peruses the menu, looking for the sweetest, most sugary things in the menu, while looking for something a little more substantial to go with it. Finally, she figures out what she wants.
"I'll haaaave... a pineapple pancake, a chocolate chip cookie, and popcorn shrimp!"
"Train?" Tink tilts her head quizzically after putting the menu down. However, she doesn't have long to wonder what Haru means before Tawna fills in the blanks. "Oh, Trailmon, right! That makes sense! How was your ride? What brings you here? How'd you two meet? I-"
The excited and excitable fairy realizes she was grilling the two more than fish and steak at this restaurant. She slows down and coughs with embarrassment. "I... unless you don' wanna tell me, that's fine too. Sorry to bug you." She vibrates her wings, saying "buzz buzz" out of the corner of her mouth.
