Adrian nodded at Haru. "I freaked out big time when I met him while he was Shoutmon. Plus, I'd hate to see what the government would do if they found out about Digimon..." Adrian shuddered at the thought. "Most likely use them as weapons of mass destruction..."
Adrian took more interest in the V-Pet Haru mentioned. "V-Pet functionality, huh...?" Adrian asked, observing the device that Haru held up. "I need to get one of those things. I don't trust leaving Koromon at the house at all. He'd either somehow get spotted by my parents or eat all the food we have, haha."
Koromon drooled at the sight of Katsura holding the riceball toward him. He was starving! So hungry, that when he went to eat the riceball, he ended up biting Katsura's entire hand, too!
"ACK! KOROMON!" Adrian immediately screamed, pulling Koromon off of Katsura's hand, the riceball missing from it. "You don't just bite people like that!"
"I wasn't thinking..." Koromon sighs. "I'm sorry, Adrian." Suddenly, Koromon began to shake and glow.
"Oh no..." Adrian says. "Not here! Not now!"

Katsura still unaware of how Haru might feel nodded with closed eyes at the notion that Nyao cares a lot about her.
"I love Nyao more than anything." And then Katsura hugged Nyao tightly proving to everyone that she was sincere that she didn't use any prefix when referring to Nyao should also give a hint. Fortunately if you didn't knew better you'd see a childish girl obsessed with her plushy, at worst it looked like her comfort object. She was so caught up that she didn't notice the conversation between Adrian and Haru though she had already stated her opinion already. As Katsura handed her rice-ball to Koromon, the little thing was apparently extremely excited and hungry because it ended up biting her to get the food.
"Ouch!" Nyao's eyes got a red glow, after getting her hand back she immediately stroked Nyao.
"It's okay Nyao, it doesn't count. She was just very hungry."
The red glow fainted away, you could hear the cat making an annoyed sigh. Looks like they dodged a bullet there. Speaking of Koromon, right after the meal he started to glow and he'd probably be digivolving in no time. Katsura excitedly clung her hands together while making a big smile clearly this was events that meant a lot to Katsura.

Haru nodded slightly at Adrian, at least happy to see he had some foresight in regards to their rebellious partner. Her own parents didn't even know that either of the Toriya sisters had Digimon, and with her having recently left the household to go to an apartment, she was aiming to keep it that way.
The girl did visibly flinch as she saw the Koromon bite Katsura's hand... though fortunately the girl didn't seem to mind at all. Good thing too as Nyao certainly had the same kinda look Tawna sometimes had with others. The look of "back off before I turn you into 0s and 1s."
Haru immediately panicked as she saw the Koromon suddenly trying to Digivolve... she doing the only thing that came to mind. Pull her empty backpack and shove it directly on the offending Digimon in question to try and hide their inhuman nature. "Okay... We need to go. NOW. Somewhere private." she somewhat sternly spoke, a bit of a change from the casual nature of the girl normally. She was usually pretty lax, but this was a situation too serious to just let slide.
She motioned her head over to what seemed to be an abandoned girl's restroom, closed for renovation. It had some tape and a few signs more or less saying that it was a restricted zone, but getting into trouble like that was the least of Haru's worries at the moment.

Adrian nodded, as if to silently say "YES. I AGREE. THIS IS BAD." Holding the backpack-covered Koromon, he immediately followed Haru to the abandoned girl's restroom as fast as he could.
Who cares if it's a girl's bathroom? he thought. It's being renovated, and this is a huge emergency!
He crawled under the "restricted" security tape and entered the bathroom with Haru, which definitely looked like it was going under renovation. Adrian placed Koromon on the floor, and as he did, he Digivolved into his Rookie form, Shoutmon.
"Out of all the times you digivolve, it just had to be in the middle of the freaking mall," Adrian says with a sigh. "Thanks for helping out, Haru. But... what do we do now?"

Katsura was forcefully dragged back to her common sense by the commotion this digivolution caused. Now Haru hid the Shoutmon in a bag and ordered everyone to find somewhere more private.
"Oh right, sorry for spacing out."
She followed after Haru into an abandoned girl's bathroom, closed for renovation. The petite girl easily and unhindered walked under the "restricted" tape as if it wasn't even there. Inside she finally got to see the digivolution and boy did she take advantage of this. She stared Koromon without even blinking while making a calm smile.
"The bond of a human and a digimon..."
Nyao stretched out while this was going on
"Aaah finally I get to stretch out. It's more fun being able to talk you know."
"I know, but we can't have anyone knowing the truth."
"Well it beats being in a bag or inside a digidevice."
"That's the spirit."
At that point Adrian reached out to Haru asking what to do now.
"What do you mean? We're safe in here."

It was good that they managed to hustle into the dirty bathroom as quickly as they did, for that could have gone poorly if they had waited even a minute late. She managed to let out a sigh of relief as Adrian's partner jumped to their Rookie form. "... This was not how I was hoping my day would turn out...
Materializing from Haru's Digivice, a tall feminine figure began to form from data streaming out of the small D-3... the beast woman having a ferocious look to their appearence as they stood above everyone else in the restroom (almost twice Katsura's own height), the stinger tail of theirs lightly swishing around. The Meicrackmon Vicious Mode stretched their body some, as if they had been confined in the Digivice uncomfortably. "... Mmhmm. It's not fun." she softly spoke in regards to Katsura's comment about bags and being stuck in Digivices. "... Hello Katsura. Nyao." Tawna calmly greeted the pair, a mildly-disinterested look on her face as the three Mini-Meis spontaneously appeared by her side.
Haru at the very least seemed happy with her partner's presence, if just because seeing Tawna actually greeting someone was way more progress than Haru was used to seeing! "See Tawna? Being nice isn't that hard." she commented towards the Ultimate level, then faced towards Adrian and Shoutmon. Her face was a bit.. worried, but she wasn't mad at the very least. "Hey, look... I don't mean to sound like a bitch, but you two really need to be careful! That could have gone really badly if we didn't hurry up." she spoke, sighing briefly as she took a seat back down on the restroom floor, pulling back out her laptop. "Just, I guess let's chill here for a moment. Talk if we want. Nyao's the only one that could feasibly be out in public with her current look anyway."

"Trust me, I feel the same way..." Adrian told Haru as he sighed. "And I'm sorry about that whole situation. I shouldn't have brought Shoutmon, but I just didn't trust him to NOT destroy something at the house. I didn't think one piece of food would make him Digivolve like that..." He then turned his attention to Katsura. "Well, I don't have a V-Pet like Haru has. How the hell are we gonna get Shoutmon out of here without being noticed? It's not like we can pass him off as a stuffed animal, because he looks to metallic to be considered one." Then before he realized it, a new Digimon appeared out of the D-3. Adrian was just intimidated by the Digimon's size alone. "Uh..."
"It's not that I want to be getting a bunch of weird looks from random humans," Shoutmon speaks up, "but I really don't want to spend the rest of the day in this place. It doesn't even looked finished..."
"That's what going under renovations means," Adrian told his partner.

Nyao jumped down to fully stretch out, in the meantime Katsura was tripping back and forth on while humming peacefully, she had her hands folded behind her. It was easy to tell that neither of them was worried by this situation at all. Rather they were taking a break in there.
"I donno, this is normal for me." Katsura countered Adrian. In stark contrast the only thing Katsura had to say to the digivolution was an "Oh" and then nod in unison with Nyao to acknowledge the greeting. And then an argument between Adrian and Haru came out. Katsura stayed in the sidelines until Adrian turned to her.
"Relax, we can get out anytime we want."
Nyao rolled her eyes a bit at Katsura
"Katsura, we have been over this before. Not everyone is as adjusted to the digital world as you. Also some people get worried about those things."
"They do? Did I use the wrong emotion again?"
"It's hard to explain, just stop assuming everyone is as used to everything as you. For starters you should mention your portals."
"Oh right, I can make a portal to any place I want whenever I want. That's how I get around usually."
"Much better, now everyone knows why you're not worried."
"Sigh, socializing is hard."

Haru let out a sigh, though it was clear she wasn't too bothered by everything. There's been WAY worse things that has happened besides a small slip-up like this. "It's alright... I don't think anyone saw us really, and I can't say that Tawna's not done her fair share of weird shit. She one time left like five different species of dead predatory birds on my bed one morning."
"It was a gift." the Meicrackmon corrected the girl, though she had since realized that humans don't exactly eat recently deceased animals... at least raw.
Honestly, Haru almost found Katsura and Nyao's conversation kinda adorable in a way... perhaps since it was kind of a weird reversal of what she's seen before in tamer relationships with their partners. For once, it was the Digimon trying to help their partner adjust to things... which honestly, Haru found quite sweet of the black feline to go that little extra mile for the girl. "It's alright Katsura-chan; Tawna has trouble kinda emoting too if that's something you have trouble with. Maybe that's something you two have alike!" she added in, noting that in a way Katsura kinda was a lil' similar to Tawna in certain aspects.
Well, that was convenient that Katsura had what seemed to be a better Digi-Port function if they needed to get out of here without anyone noticing! Originally she was going to suggest like Tawna do some Brane Jumping to get everyone to a less... crappy spot, but that worked too! "Well, that's good! Still, we should make sure they have ways to prevent this in the future." she spoke towards Katsura, turning to Adrian. "Don't worry, even if Shoutmon can't like degenerate on command... there's ways to keep him outta sight. V-Pet of course, but once you go to the Digital world, you could probably buy a Holo-Suit!" she reassured the taller teen, pulling out her D-3 and briefly activating the scanner function (directing it towards Shoutmon). Minor club work on the side while they were just relaxing here probably didn't hurt.

Adrian sighed as well. Things were just not going his way today... or anyone's way today, now that he thought about it more. "I still have a lot to learn about being a Digidestined I guess..."
Adrian took this time to observe the two Digidestined and their Digimon around them. Haru seemed to be the most sane one of the bunch, which was to be expected since she was a college student, while he and Katsura were still in high school. Plus, her Digimon seemed to be in another stage of evolution altogether. Shoutmon explained to him the stages of a Digimon's evolution, and Tawna appeared to fall either into the champion or ultimate stage to Adrian, he wasn't sure which.
"What's a holosuit?" Adrian asked Haru after she had brought it up. Both he and Shoutmon were confused as Haru started scanning Shoutmon with her D-3.
"Whoa whoa whoa, what the heck are ya doing?!" Shoutmon asks, backing up as he got scanned.

Katsura shrugged at Haru's story about Tawna.
"That's what cats do usually."
"I don't, usually."
"You're a special kitty"
Katsura turned to Adrian, who had just commented that he still has a lot to learn. She tipped her head as she looked him over.
"Secrecy is a big part of having a partner, everyone I know have a way to keep it secret but you'll get used to it just like I did."
Nyao sighed pitifully at Katsura, for all her adjustment and corresponding numbness there was a jarring tradeoff in her social skills and ability to relate to others. And it looks like Haru was kinda catching up on that problem too, suggesting that so does Tawna.
"Huh, I thought I was the only one getting emotions mixed up. And need to ask others or... Experiment. Does she have trouble knowing when to be happy or sad too?"
"Umm Katsura? (yes?) that's probably a bit too personal a problem for Haru-san's personal space, let alone Tawna."
"Oh sorry Haru-chan, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."
Katsura then allowed Haru and Adrian to comment on her digiportal a conversation that somehow moved on to Adrian not knowing about holosuits
"A holosuit lets you shapeshift, at least seamly into someone else by putting a photo in it."

Haru actually had forgot to ask the small dragon Digimon to scan him beforehand, realizing just how that could be interpreted as rude. "Apologies, just wanted to see what you are all about! I've never seen a Digimon like you, and I wanted to get some data on you!" she apologized to the red dragon, her Digivice finishing up the scanning process finally. "You see, I'm actually part of a lil' research group that wants to try and learn as much as we can about Digimon and the Digital World! We have a lil' database that we have these special scanners on our Digivices linked to, so it's a real help to us!" she briefly explained, glancing down at the finished information down on her Digivice.

Unknown attribute...? That was a new classification, at least for Haru. She'd have to ask the others about that some time. "They're useful for letting your mon sneak around looking like a human, but Tawna refuses to wear one." she added on about Holosuits, finding her partner's hatred of the device kinda funny in a way.
"It feels like a very tight, uncomfortable sweater." the feline grumbled, making it quite clear about her opinion regarding those things. Haru bought one a while back, but its since gone unused. A waste of 1000 bits in Tawna's eyes.
Haru just lightly shrugged at the cat's negative preference towards the disguise program. That aside, she drew a bit closer to Nyao and Katsura with her D-3. "Do you care if I can scan Nyao? I promise it's just for curiosity's sake!" she ended up asking the two, figuring that may as well get some more info in the databank. Ayumi probably would appreciate that since she's had to sit out on the club's first mission.

"Me? Look like a HUMAN?" Shoutmon asked, taking a step back. "Oh, nonononono! No offense to you guys, but you are probably the most funny looking creatures I've ever seen."
Doesn't mean a lot coming out of you, Adrian thinks as he sweatdrops. "No... offense... taken?"
"Anyways, my point is that I will NOT go around looking like a human. I like the way I look, even if it is weird for humans."
"What about a dog then? Or a cat?"
"No Earth creatures. Period."
"Okay, fine, fine, I won't get a holosuit thing... but a V-Pet is definitely still on my mind. It's either V-Pet or looking like a human, Shoutmon. Which one will it be?"
Shoutmon shuddered. "V-Pet is definitely better, when you put it that way."
Adrian smirked. "Glad we came to an agreement." He turned to Haru. "What does the Digivice say about Shoutmon, may I ask?"

Katsura listened with interest to Haru that club sounded very intriguing to her.
"Huh sounds pretty neat, maybe I should take a look at them one day."
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Of course, Nyao. The digital world is like a home to me."
"Oh okay then if that's what you want."
Katsura listened to the argument between Adrian and Shoutmon, to her it didn't feel right that a digimon should be in a digidevice but at least the duo had come to an agreement on their own.
"You know, some people keep their friend in a bag. She's not going to be much taller unless it's serious business."
It was then that Haru approached Katsura and Nyao to ask for permission to scan Nyao, Katsura immediately turned to Nyao with a questioning expression thus giving Nyao all the decision making. Nyao responded to this by shrugging. So everything was in order.

Despite how alien Digimon like Shoutmon, Nyao, or Tawna could be... they were all in a way still quite human in their own way. "I can understand at least... I don't think even Tawna would want to wear a holosuit period, even if just to look like an animal." she ended up adding into Adrian and Shoutmon's little discussion with one another, at least able to understand WHY Shoutmon didn't want to prance around looking like a human... She'd not want to do the same either if she were in his position probably.
In regards to the scanned data from Shoutmon, most of it made least sense to Haru, though it was curious to see the Unknown attribute. That alone was a pretty rare sight among Digimon, what with most falling under the spectrums of Vaccine, Virus and Data. Their evolution was also pretty curious to see as well... wonder what THAT looked like? "Well, it says Shoutmon Digivolves into... SuperShoutmon? Man, I wonder how these names are made up in the first place?" she ended up commenting as she showed Shoutmon and Adrian the scanner's information, trying to hold back a giggle at the name. It honestly sounded more cute than anything.
Nyao's entry in the scanner was equally weird though... perhaps since it was reading out some info that she previously had thought was defunct still scanner function-wise. Previous entries had Moral Tendency and Sapience Level come up as errors, but here it worked fine! Wonder what that was all about...? "Huh... I wonder what Devotion could mean here?" she curiously asked, showing Nyao and Katsura their info. She also noticed that Nyao Digivolved from a Salamon too, albeit one without the X on their name! How funny! "Wow, I didn't think you were Champion level Nyao! I guess you are just like Tawna as Meicoomon... or well, were like Tawna. You guys even have similar Rookie levels!"
