The landscape was unrecognizable, a barren landscape of craters, fissures, smoke and scorch marks. According to the map the lone digimon in the middle of the aftermath - a ToyAgumon - is carrying, however, this should be a lively city. The buildings and monuments have been razed to the ground by missiles, flames, lasers, and other devestating weapons, leaving nothing but destruction and despair. "I... I was too late," he mourned, tearing the map in half. "The Neo Machine Empire has already..." He pounds the earth in rage, howling and roaring in a failed attempt to release the emotional pain.
How could he have failed to stop this? He was Agumaru, the Agumon that would follow in the footsteps of his hero, the protector of Ragebi Hosu Village. He would protect everyone. He would prove he was strong enough, and not just...
A toy. "They... they were right, weren't they?" It couldn't be true, could it? Tiny droplets fall out of his eyes. "They said...I was a toy... a puppet... am I merely...?" Impossible. There's no way. His tears go from individual drops to a continuous trickle."I... am just a toy Agumon. Guh.. nhh..nyh...Ha..haha... gahaahaaa!" His crying morphs into manic laughter.
Something snaps inside of the poor ToyAgumon. "I'm nothing but a toy. My life is expendable. But don't worry, you Neo Machine Empire scum. I'll be there soon so we can play together for the rest of our lives!"
The Neo Machine Empire army would continue to march onward towards Terminus City. Agumaru was sure of it. They would be slow, however, and wouldn't take the Trailmon, so he had a speed advantage. He could easily beat them there with way too much time to spare. However, he was going to make a little detour. he knew where toys belonged...
The Trailmon arrives outside Terminus City just in time. Agumaru steps out to face the oncoming army of metallic digimon. Rows and rows of the gear digimon, Hagurumon, make the large front lines. Behind are many weird robot Datamon, humanoid robot Andromon, construction equipment Kenkimon, and squat armored Guardromon. These were backed up by some heavy artiliary Tankdramon, mechanical wolf BlackMetalGarurumon, huge dragon Machinedramon, and upgraded HiAndromon. In the far back, towering over the army, was the crimson beast itself, Chaosdramon X. Vaguely resembling the Machinedramon, it dwarfs them greatly, with much larger cannons on its back, and a much more fierce, draconic face.
The Chaosdramon X roars at the Trailmon as it leaves. "Traitor! Slave! You're a disgrace to Machine digimon, transporting whoever and whatever!" Agumaru shouts back furiously. "How dare you? Trailmon is no traitor! He never was part of your 'club', discriminating against both the weak and the non-robotic of-"
"Shut up! What do you know? You're just a toy!"
Agumaru takes a deep breath and sighs, closing his eyes. With another deep breath, he opens his eyes once more. "You are half-right. I am a toy. I am not a real Agumon. I am made of plastic. I have accepted my truth and my fate. I am also your destruction. We shall fall together. How will your next lives manage to face the world, knowing at their strongest, they were beaten by a toy?"
Laughter bursts out among the ranks of the Neo Machine Empire. "And how do you expect to do that," their leader crows, "you are one toy against the great army! You are nothing!"
"Heh. I just came back from Toy Town. I can't say I like what you've done with the place, though it seems you didn't stop to absorb the data after razing it to the ground. INFINITE TOYBOX~!"
"Just break him already," the crimson emperor shouts, pointing to a Hagurumon. The gear digimon salutes, then shoots a Darkness Gear attack straight for the fake Agumon. The hit connects, blowing Agumaru apart. "Pathetic." It seems the battle was over.
But why did there seem to be more bricks exploding from the area than what made up the ToyAgumon? And why were some of them shaped different? Huge flat shapes on poles, net-like structures, and large cylindrical pieces seem to spring out of thin air. As they fall, they snap together, and their purposes become clear. Sails, rigging, and most importantly, cannons. This was a fearsome pirate ship, despite its toy nature.
"Yaaarhaar," the Agumon-shaped figurehead growls, "Ye be placin' yer weakest on the front lines, are ye? Hagurumons are expendable to ye? Sorry laddies and lassies, but since yer bosses are cowards, yer gonna meet Davey Jones first." In a blaze of cannonfire and a scattering of data, the front line is quickly decimated. Some of the Datamon and Guardromon are even taken out by lucky shots, before a combination of attacks from the middle line once again disassemble Agumaru. "INFINITE TOYBOX!" he shouts once more, most of the pieces fading out of existance to be replaced with new parts. Much more rounded, mostly lime green and black with some bright orange, they came with some silver bricks that seemed almost like a fusion between the usual plastic and Chrome Digizoid.
The new pieces assemble themselves into a large ground vehicle with rugged tires, topped with two headlights, and tipped with an enormous drill on the front. "You ready to rock? Get ready to feel the thunder!" The drill revs up to high gear, and the machine takes off straight at the thick of the army. Attacks from the enemies are deflected by the hardness and fast rotation of the drill, which bores through them while barely slowing down. The Agumaru drill machine circles around, hitting more of the mixed Champions and Ultimates, until a couple of HiAndromon manage to hold it in place as a Machinedramon uses its Giga Cannons to destroy all of them. "Good job," the Chaosdramon X praises, "that toy was no match f-"
"INFINITE TOYBOX" shouts a lone brick left far from the army, as more Lego bricks appear. This time, there was very little color, but a massive quantity, as they begin constructing a large globe. What could this possibly be? Eventually, the build is complete, revealing a colossal moon. Wait... that's no moon...
The 'eye' of the 'moon', a singular crater on the front, begins charging energy. "What now," the Neo Machine Empire leader groans, as the massed Ultimates and Megas fail to put a dent in it. "I'll tell you what now," the 'moon' responds. "While your empire strikes back against me for destroying most of your army, I bring the Digital World a new hope with this final attack!" A blinding beam bursts from the 'moon', erasing all the digimon it touches.
Unfortunately for Agumaru, he cannot handle such power himself, and the bricks begin to self-destruct. When the light fades, only the normal - and exhausted - Agumaru, and the leader of the Neo Machine Empire remain. "N-no... I can... still fight..." the ToyAgumon cries out. "I won't... let you win."
"You have destroyed my army," Chaosdramon X retorts. "You have made a fool of me. Most impressive, but at the same time, your death will NOT be glorious. I shall crush you under my foot like the scum you are!"
The Chaosdramon X brings its heavily-armored foot down upon the tiny toy rookie digimon, yet Agumaru merely grins as what the crimson emperor things is the ToyAgumon's doom approaches. As foot meets digi, the Chaosdramon realizes why Agumaru was smiling, though he still gets it pointed out to him. "You have defeated yourself, Chaosdramon. It seems you've never stepped on a Lego before."
