“Right, you heard the toad, let’s move! The Dark Lord has no patience to wait around!” The small imp ordered as soon as their three leading members got into the train car, following behind them while Carlos did the same, rolling his eyes as he did so. As much as Dio had been significantly humbled down by the past weeks experiences, he still retained a lot of that typical Impmon ego and need to push others around.
Hopefully the club’s influence would eventually reach him and help making the small megalomaniac a bit more bearable.
The club members took a seat inside the train, everyone at a relatively close distance from each other, and at least three of the digimon (namely Dio, Dr Mikemon and Titania) sitting particularly close. Noticing that, and knowing they had a while before they reached destination, Dio turned to look at the other two. Might as well make some sort of conversation to pass the time?
“Why would they bleeding from their noses anyway?” He asked, shooting a quizzical look at the Tinkermon, unsure why the humans would suddenly start to bleed out without reason. Were humans really that weak? Good thing they had a doctor around then.
Meanwhile, Carlos did as suggested earlier, taking a small paper bag from his black duffle bag, which contained a rather simple ham sandwich. Try as he might he wasn’t really the best cook around, especially when it came to portable snacks (maybe he should have taken up his girlfriend’s offer to learn to cook)
But, it was still perfectly edible food without any risk of contracting a weird sickness, so his cooking skills should be good enough to keep the club from kicking him out for “attempting to poison” them. After taking a small bite out of his sandwich to prove that, indeed, it was edible, he offered the open black bag to the rest of the club.
“Anyone wants their lunch now? Feel free to grab anything. But only one thing each, so there’s something for everyone.”

Mizu chuckled at Titania's nosebleed comment. "Hahahaha, yes, that would be embarrassing! Dunno about the "funny" part!" She laughed again, then leaned in and whispered into the fairy's ear with a frighteningly serious voice. "If you make fun of my Tamer even once I will make you regret the day you were born, got it?" She then leaned back again and smiled wide. "Onward, to the sea!"
As soon as everyone was seated, the doors of the Trailmon closed, and the Digimon chugged onwards towards the southern tropics. It would be a good one to two hours before they arrived, so it was good that Carlos brought lunch. Yukiko shyly took one sandwich and nibbled on an edge. "O-o-o-ok, s-s-s-so the plan is t-t-to swim out to the city, a-a-and explore. This means w-w-w-w-we scan Digimon, map the area with gadgets Ayumi made, a-a-a-and if we find an artifact w-w-w-we will take it with us to examine it back at the club? D-d-d-do you have any questions?"

Ah, yes, the 'Dark Lord' had no patience for those simply puttering about outside the train! At Dio's sudden declaration, Mikemon's ear gave a visible twitch, the briefest of red glints crossing his gaze as he glanced to the Impmon. Before anyone could get a double-take at that, though, the Mikemon just gave a chuckle, a calm smile on his expression as he shook his head.
"Whatever you say, Dio."
Despite that, he got on the train without issue. He gave Naoko space, blinking as Mizu gave that rather dark comment to Titania. Right, he wasn't touching that with a ten foot pole! Instead, he turned to Carlos: "Well, I already had a bit of a lunch, but let's see - ah, apple!" He gave a nod of thanks to the tamer, taking a bite out of the green fruit as Yukiko explained the plan. It seemed decent enough:
"I doubt anyone here can handle the water better than Mizu there, but we'll at least have a Betamon or Seadramon to watch our backs if we need it." Heck, he was starting to understand why they went with the water first!

Titania blinked. This wasn't any sort of blink, but it was one of surprise. "...Devotion. You don't see that very often." This wasn't said with any amount of the sass Titania had exhibited this entire time. Rather, humility. Respect, maybe.
If only minuscule.
"...I'll extend the same to you, then. Insult my vassal, and I'll turn you into kebab. I suppose that's all that needs to be said." She replied to the fish, before smiling just as wide!
Naoko was viiisibly ignoring the partners. Rather, she was focusing on Yukiko. "So...Swim out, scan things, take any artifacts we find back. That sounds simple enough. Are we splitting off into any pairs for this?"

Despite not hearing the underhanded threats thrown between Mizu and Titania, just noticing the way they both looked at eachother was enough for the duo to wisely ignore them and stay aside from that conflict, instead focusing on the mission briefing. Naoko then brought up a pretty interesting point though.
Splitting into pairs? If that would be the case, there was only one right answer in Carlos’ eyes.
“If so we call dibs on the doctor.” Carlos said, half jokingly, half truthfully, then looking at the cat and adding a bit sheepishly "If you don't mind, that is."
Even though he enjoyed the cat’s company well enough, it was largely to avoid a particularly awkward moment with the two overly shy girls. Dio seemed to share the sentiment, or at the very least didn’t voice any sort of disagreement, seemingly too busy loudly munching on a piece of beef jerky he had grabbed from the bag. As long as they got the job done and didn’t get him or Carlos killed, he didn’t really mind going with either.

Yukiko listened to the input from anyone else. The notion of splitting into pairs would make their job that much easier, though the thought of being alone with a guy made her all red. Noticing this, Mizu immediately jumped onto Carlos' suggestion that they'd split up by gender. "Yes, excellent, good idea, Yuki and Naoko will form one pair, you and Mike will form another! That way each of us can explore one half of the city, and we can cover a larger area." "I shall remain on the shore, water and electronics do not cooperate well. I'll keep in touch via comlink, so I can guide you." Usako had just remained silent as they had boarded the train until now. It seems that the quarreling was not something she was interested in joining in to.
Soon enough, the train approached the penultimate stop before Whitewater City: Palm Grove. No civilization beyond the station, but an excellent jumping off-point for explorations to the sea!

They were splitting into teams? Naoko's idea radiated well through the group, and the Mikemon was already picked by Carlos, the cat's fangs too deep into his current bite of apple to get his own two cents in.
Did he mind? Shaking his head, the Mikemon gave a swallow, a chuckle shortly after. "Not at all. You, me, and the Dark Lord will make one group, and the girls will make up the other team. Heck, we can make it a bit of a contest to see who can get the better haul."
The cat was slightly joking, but what better than a little contest to get the adrenaline flowing? "Within reason, mind. We don't want to start to poke at nests we really shouldn't be touching, after all."
Soon enough, the train would start to come at a halt... Palm Grove? If their leader would step off, the Mikemon would follow, his nose catching the familiar scent of salt-water the moment he stepped outside. Aside from clearing out their sinuses, well, if this was where they were heading out, they were going to need their gear!

Titania agreed with the overwhelming...well, agreement that the four should be split into pairs. "Yes, my vassal and I should be able to cover a lot of ground with Miss Yukiko and Miss Mizu." Why was she suddenly referring to them more politely?
Naoko, meanwhile, just...clenched her fists and died a little inside. "...R-Right. Splitting off into pairs." This idea was already bad.
Why did they need to make it worse? The girl was already beet red...
Titania meanwhile looked between everyone gathered. "So, we're all in agreement?"

What initially started as a suggestion quickly turned into the official plan, and the group would be divided into pairs, the boys on one side, and the girls in the other. Carlos nodded in agreement. "I guess it’s settled, then."
While Dio seemed to be mostly in agreement as well (or at least not in disagreement) he didn’t seem to care much either way…at least until the Doctor said the word “contest”, at which point the kid sized Rookie rose up from his seat.
“Great idea Doctor, the Dark Lord’s team shall stomp out the competition and take the prize for ourselves!” The imp proclaimed, fiery determination in his tone. Carlos stared at him silently for a moment, before chiming in.
“Dio…nobody said anything about a prize.”
“Tch, fine, we’ll take the bet money, same thing.” Dio corrected himself, sounding somewhat annoyed.
“I’m pretty sure the doctor just meant as a friendly competition. As in, no betting or prizes involved.”
“That can’t be, that’d be boring.” Dio reasoned, shrugging as he did so. It was only logical right? Why else would one bother to compete if there wasn’t something to be earned from winning?
By this point Carlos figured they would keep arguing forever if he insisted, so he simply rolled his eyes. If Dio was happier believing there would be a reward, then so be it. “Well, at least he has an incentive to actually work for once." He thought to himself, just as the train began to slow down, coming to a halt on. If this was to be their stop, the duo would then follow the rest of the group outside, Carlos making sure to grab the duffle bag on the way out.

Once everyone had finished leaving the trains, Yukiko took the lead and led the group towards the shore they were going to start their expedition from. Ayumi chimed in as soon as they arrived via comlink. "All right, folks, you see that structure in the close distance? That's Sunken Elysium! You're gonna split up into two? Then one group will take the eastern half, and one will take the western half! I will be your mission control for the eastern half, and Solomon will be for the western half!" Usako cleared her throat. "And I shall monitor both groups from the shore. As I said, water and me do not agree." Yukiko nodded, then turned to Carlos and Dr. Mikemon. "W-w-w-would you prefer the Eastern half, or the Western half?"

Sheesh, now Dio wanted this to actually be a wager? It seemed the Impmon jumped the gun a bit on this one - and, fortunately or not, Yukiko nor Ayumi didn't add anything more to the offer. Well, so long as Dio believed that there was a wager going on, or at least some sort of prize, he'd at least keep attention on the task at hand?
Honestly, the cat could only hope. Eventually, the group would make their way a good way down the shoreline, to that 'structure in the close distance'. That was definitely the Sunken Elysium - and for most here, it looked like a particularly long distance to swim. Taking a blink, the Mikemon gave a shrug at the question: "We'll take West, I guess." Actually, he had a reason for preferring it: later in the day, the sun would be nearer their side, letting them more easily see down in the ocean depths.
That aside? "Though I suppose everyone's gotta change and suit up first? And... are we tagging along on Seadramon to get out there in the first place?

Well, seeing as the option to go east (like japan) was on the table, Naoko decided to seal the fate of her part of this venture.
"Weee're going East, then." "What? I was gonna bare knuckle cage match the impmon for the right to go west like the cowboys!"
...Naoko could barely understand what Titania meant at all by that. "No, no. No bare knuckle whatevers." She decided. "...Hope that's okay with you, miss Yukiko." Naoko nodded before she got up and silently wandered off to go suit up. Titania remained, though.
"I'll take up that wager. But not too badly or else my gambling addiction's gonna flare up and hooh, boy, that wouldn't be fun."

As the group approached the shore, Ayumi’s voice would point them in the direction of a large structure in the water, a good swimming distance away from the group. The partially sunken structure rose just slightly above the water, popping out of the ocean as if begging to be explored. Carlos briefly glanced at the sunken building, letting out a short but audibly impressed whistle. When confronted with the option of where to go, it seemed the Doctor preferred West.
“West sounds good.” Carlos shrugged, not particularly minding either option over the other, he was willing to accommodate to either. Dio didn’t disagree, too busy giving Titania a rather smug glare after her comment. “Ha, like you could ever best the Dark Lord in a cage match…whatever that is.”
“I’ll go get changed up, try not to get everyone killed while I’m gone, alright Dio?” The man jokingly stated, grabbing the dufflebag as he walked off momentarily, looking for a place to change into a more fitting swimming outfit.
The impmon meanwhile stayed behind, happy to see someone would be willing to take up the wager idea.
“Fine then. Whoever loses has to buy the winner some dinner. Deal?” The imp said with a cocky grin, reaching out to the small fairy for a handshake, some small embers sparking from his fingers as he did so. Dio always had a flair for making even mundane things be as overly dramatic as possible when he could.

Yukiko nodded, seems that things were settled. She and Naoko would go East, which was fine by her. "Alr-r-r-right, then it's settled! L-l-l-let's get ready!" Yukiko pulled out a competition swimsuit for Naoko to put on, and then moved to change, herself. When she realised she was doing it in front of everyone she froze and blushed immensely. "I-I-I-I-I..." Mizu giggled, and then bathed herself in a bright light, digivolving into Seadramon. The seaserpent then coiled up around Yukiko, shielding her from the eyes of the group. Mizu then winked. "Sorry folks, as much as I can understand you'd want to ogle Yuki's astral bod, I'm gonna ask for some privacy here~"

Well, Dio and Titania had their wager set, and with Carlos walking off in one direction, and Mizu using the Seadramon form to offer cover for Yukiko, Dr. Mikemon was left with the Impmon, to wait for the group to reassemble.
Well, almost: most everyone aside from the Seadramon had to deal with the scuba equipment itself, right? "Guess it wouldn't have hurt to pack a wet-suit - going to be regretting every bit of this later today." Right, cats and water, not exactly a match. Giving a shrug, well, he could only really stand by for the moment. Hopefully they'd get to the water soon!
