Calm After The Storm (Carlos/Adrian/Miyu)

Haru felt a pain by her back and side as something sharp pierced its way through her flesh... not once, but twice, and a third time. Soon, a fourth... and so on. The girl was stuck in a perpetual loop of the same identical bit of pain coursing through her body, and no matter how much she attempted to move to avoid it... it always came. The girl kneeled to her knees eventually from pain, fighting back tears as an imposing figure loomed above... their shadow obscuring her before...
The girl opened her eyes, a look of shock in them as she sat up, for a moment too rattled mentally to realize where she was. She remembered... darkness, but the room she was in was anything but. Haru found herself in a white room, partially under some clean sheets as she sat in-bed. She for a moment briefly reached at her side, as if expecting a pain to greet her again... but to her surprise, the only thing to come was a soreness in the spot. She realized her wardrobe was also quite different... wearing little more but a light-blue hospital gown with polka dots on it (and quite literally little more than the gown too), she noted that her hair was let down too... she soon spotted what seemed to be a bag of clothes and her aviator helmet sitting in a chair. She was not alone in the room either... sitting in a small cat-bed was Tawna, specifically in their Meicoomon form. The Champion level had some bandages around their body, though were in a deep sleep as they curled up in the soft pet-bed. Haru's mind was... well, for the most part, a blank. She didn't know what she was doing here for, nor how she got here anyway... but here she was. Half-naked, confused, and a bit sore... but ultimately fine. She'd have tried to stand back up... but damn if her body wasn't dragging her back down into rest. The one time she wanted to be up and about, she couldn't even really manage the strength to stand up. She laid back down on her comfortable pillow, letting out a sigh. What the hell happened earlier anyway? Carlos Rey

As much as Carlos and Dio would have wanted to spend the rest of the day winding down, it seemed fate had different plans in store. The duo had been calmly sitting by the sidewalk, minding their own business, when they noticed a small crowd of digimon gathering close to one of the alleyways.
The two partners shot a quick look at them, but otherwise tried to ignore them. It was only when they listened to them talking that they suddenly became interested in what they had to say.
“Geez, what happened to them?”
“Where they even coming from?”
“Isn’t that the way to Old Terminus? What would a human and a cat want down there?”
“Oh no.”
“Mom, why is the goggle lady sleeping on the ground?”
The man and the imp exchanged glances for a moment, as if silently asking the other if this meant what they thought they meant, too many keywords popping up on the onlookers many conversations for this to be a coincidence.
Granted, such broad descriptions could easily apply to many another unknown tamers - hell, even having a cat for a partner wasn’t exactly too specific a detail, either. After all, it wasn’t too rare for Dio to be confused for a weird looking cat. But…Carlos had to make sure. They both had to make sure. The duo soon got up and began running towards the source of the commotion. At the center of it, behind a group of curious onlookers, was (much to Carlos’ dismay) a pair of very familiar figures...
“How long you think she’ll be out?” Dio asked out loud with a small hint of impatience in his voice, his gaze fixated on the bustling streets just a couple stories down outside the window of the room.
“I don’t know. They were both in pretty bad shape.” The man mused, sounding worried as he shot another look at the girl known as Haru, who was still peacefully asleep on her hospital bed. They had immediately taken both her and her partner Tawna (who was currently sleeping on a smaller bed nearby) to the Terminus General Hospital as soon as they saw them. Whatever the two had been through, it couldn’t have been pleasant judging by their wounds.
Now however that they had received their treatment and (at least according to the doctors) making a speedy recovery. Still, even already having helped out the two reach the hospital, Carlos felt the need to stay just a bit longer, if only to make sure both Haru and Tawna would be fine on their own. As such, he and Dio had been sitting around the room for around an hour or so, waiting for any of them to give any signs of life.
Needless to say, all this waiting around was starting to take his toll on the imp, whom while worried for the other two’s well being, was also getting sick of being locked inside such a drab, boring white room without anything to do. If only Carlos had brought a book along or something.
The imp rhythmically tapped his fingers against the glass in a useless attempt to keep himself busy, Carlos meanwhile to worried for the girls to even physically feel boredom. The (rather annoying) clock kept counting down time until visiting hours were done, the imp looking at it and cursing a bit. Still one hour until they were allowed to leave, this was starting to be borderline unbearable.
After another boring minute passed, however, the Dark Lord had enough, and he quickly turned around to face the white-haired man, an annoyed expression on his face.
“Must we really wait all day for her to-“ The purplish imp stopped his complaining however, as he noticed movement coming from the girl’s bed. She was finally awake!
“Carlos.” The imp quickly said, prompting Carlos to turn and see for himself that Haru was, indeed, very much awake. Seeing this caused him to let out a sigh of relief. Well, at the very least she was still with them on the land of the living. That was a start.
“Haru?” Was the only thing the worried man could mutter out, as he made his way next to the girl’s bed, bringing along the chair he had been using to sit on.
Dio did the same, getting close to the bed with a curious look. “Hey…Gogglehead. You feeling ok?” Leave it to him to cut to the chase so abruptly.

Adrian and Shoutmon were just leaving Terminus Mall, buying things when they noticed the commotion forming along the alleyway. The two looked at each other before following the other Digimon. Why were they all crowding up? Did something happen?
That's when Adrian heard the various comments, like "what happened to them?" or "Oh my god..." Then a little Digimon brought up the term "goggle lady."
"They can't mean..." Adrian gasps, as he pushes ahead to see what exactly the Digimon were all looking at. And what he saw was a very messed up Haru and Meicoomon. The same Haru he had met at the mall in the human world, and Tawna was in her rookie stage...
"Haru..."
"Thanks for the ride, Miyu," Adrian tells his friend Miyu Feng as he and Shoutmon run into Terminus General Hospital. After searching for a bit, they found Haru's room number, and they went in.
"Oh... hey," Adrian says to the strange man and Impmon who were already currently in the room. "You must be more of Haru's friends... I'm Adrian, and this is Shoutmon."
"Is Haru going to be all right?" Shoutmon asks, his voice quiet and somber, the exact opposite of how it usually was. Shoutmon really wasn't taking this whole situation that well... "And what about Tawna?"
"I don't know..." Adrian says in a hoarse whisper. Suddenly, he realized that the tamer and Impmon were reacting to something. He looked up from the ground and saw that Haru had opened her eyes.
"Hey Haru," Adrian greets his bed-written acquaintance, a warm smile on his face.

Miyu and Bloom were making preparation for their next adventure, she found a nice use for her scooter now she could go out in terminus and move faster in the big digital city, speaking of the city it was a little convoluted today, people where talking about something, seemed like a digimon attack a human and while the human survive it was severly damage and bleeding, it was a scary thought that something like that could happen, she lose her line of thought when she find Adrian and Shoutmon, both looked super worried and told her that Haru was the one everyone talked about...
"No... No it can't be..." Miyu didn't want to believe what she heard but Adrian wouldn't joke with something like that. "Jump in, we're going to the hospital NOW!" She move Bloom out of the side car and made space for Adrian and ride towards Terminus hospital
If there were driving rules on the digital World probably Miyu break every single one, she needed to hurry and see what happen to her friend, after a couple of crazy minutes they finally get to the hospital, Adrian not losing time going to see Haru, Miyu and Bloom took a little longer to see her, she was a little scared and didn't want to let her friend see her worried like that.
Once inside Haru's room she find Carlos there and the imp digimon should be Dio, first time she sees him without the holosuit and doesn't even pay attention to the little Imp, she look at Carlos.
"How is she?" She ask trying to hide her fear
Bloom noted that even Tawna was hurt, it must have been one hell of a fight to force Tawna to go back to champion form.
"What happen?" Asked Palmon

Haru's senses were dull from her awakening, perhaps more so than she initially thought. It took the girl actually several long seconds for her to actually notice the other scattered in the room... Amazing how the mind could narrow on what seemed necessary, but miss over everything else. The girl managed to sit up, clutching her skull as a headache pounded against her head. "... Ugh. Wh... What even happened? Where am I?" she managed to weakly mutter as she attempted to concentrate.
She saw all familiar faces... some human, some Digimon. Nonetheless, they all were welcome sights after that nightmarish dream she had just experienced. She blinked twice, shaking her head slightly as she attempted to readjust to her "Errr... hey ya'll. Uh... Care I ask what I'm even doing here?" she asked her fellow tamers and their partners as she gazed down at the loose gown that covered her, she briefly pulling at it. Of course, hearing Bloom put some doubt in the girl's hopes that they completely knew that answer.
In the corner of the room, Tawna stirred as they opened their green eyes... gazing at the new visitors. She... had not expected for they to have so many of Haru's friends show up, and right after perhaps their most desperate hour. Perhaps she had stirred up a commotion coming out of those damned ruins with her unconscious, blood-drained tamer. She didn't even remember much from what the Biomon that ran this place told her... just that she handed Haru over to them while she was bandaged up and allowed to rest. Digimon could patch up other Digimon pretty easy, but she understood that humans were a more delicate matter. The Meicoomon managed to let out a sleepy yawn as she stood up on all fours, jumping onto the bed where her tamer was.
The lone Champion level in the room paused as she stared at her tamer; the common, apathetic look that usually was on her face was absent. She was actually somewhat at a loss for words right now as her emotions seemed like a chaotic maelstrom, she unable to pinpoint just what she was feeling right now as she gazed at Haru... injured, but alive. "... I don't know what to say. Where to start."
Haru was... actually mildly taken aback by her partner's behavior. It was rare to see her partner so emotive for once, especially considering what was the norm for them. That and well, the fact they had degenerated down to their Champion form... That was not a good sign as that cat was stubborn as hell in regards to holding their Ultimate level form.
What has happened?

"You're in the Terminus City Hospital," Shoutmon says, his voice lacking that spark that it had always had. It was clear that he was not in a happy mood. "You and Tawna were pretty banged up."
"We were walking out of Terminus Mall when we saw a bunch of Digimon crowding around something," Adrian tells Haru. "At first, we didn't know what was going on. Then we saw you and Tawna, just lying there, bleeding and extremely injured. I'm really glad you're okay..."
"As am I," Shoutmon nods. His demeanor was much more stoic, as he was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. Adrian almost didn't recognize him... "but we don't know what happened to you either. Like Adrian said, everyone just kinda found you and Tawna lying in some alleyway in Terminus. Something must have gotten you two really bad... do you have any recollection of any of it, Haru?"

Miyu had mixed feelings seen her friend, in one hand she was relief that all in all Haru was OK, on the other seeing her all dizy not knowing where she is and what the chinese girl heared in Terminus really worries her, just to think what happen send shivers down her spine.
Bloom on the other hand had a more serious expression on her face and unlike her tamer she didn't hide her concerns behind a smile, Palmon needed answers, not every day you hear about a digimon attack left a friend half death and shrug it off like nothing happen, besides the attack had to happen for a reason, it's hard to think for Bloom that a Digimon attacked someone just because, she believes that deep down everyone is nice and had a reason for their actions, no one is truly "evil".
Seeing how Tawna woke up too and jumped to Haru's bed and didn't know where to start Palmon decided to give a little help with that.
"For what we heard you guys were attacked by a digimon, seems like it was one hell of a fight as many people out there were concern on the state of Haru describing her severly wounded and blee─" Bloom was interrupted by Miyu who put her hand on the plants mouth to shut her.
"It doesn't matter what really happen, let's just be happy that you guys are fine!" She forced her smile, no need to think on the bad, always focus on the bright side, that was Miyu...
Palmon struggle a little but gave up, it looks like Miyu wont let her talk anymore, hopefully that small push would make Tawna speak a little about what happen.

Yukiko had heard it through the grapevine. First noticing Haru's curious absence in the club's LINE group, asking Carlos had confirmed it: Haru was in the hospital, with nasty injuries. To say the club leader was shocked was an understatement. She was quite devastated! Once she had heard the news she immediately made her way to the hospital!
"Don't you think you overdid this a bit?" Mizu was lazily walking by her Tamer's side, wearing the comfortable cover of a holosuit. Said Tamer, who was carrying a box of chocolate, some flowers, a few of her favorite manga and a helium balloon reading "Get well soon!" on it, just shook her head. "Sh-sh-she needs to know we're all worried about her!" The disguised Betamon rolled her eyes, this was so very much like her dear Tamer. Once they reached the room Haru was inside she knocked on the door and entered. "Oh god, Haru, are you ok??? I heard you got beaten up badly!"

While seeing the injured girl finally awakening from her rest was both surprising and relieving, what really surprised Carlos and Dio was the sudden influx of people that practically bursted into the room moments before Haru woke up. Miyu, Yukiko and their respective partners where expected, what with all of them being members of the Research Club, but the kid named Adrian that accompanied Miyu not so much. He figured it was probably either a friend of Haru judging by his reaction upon seeing the girl, so it was probably fine to let him stick around.
“Woah, where did everyone just come from?” Dio thought to himself, slightly taken aback for a moment. The news sure had spread fast!
“Alright alright guys, she literally just woke up, leave her some breathing room.” The man said, not wanting the sudden appearance of so many friendly faces to overwhelm the still dizzy girl. However, it seemed Haru was just as hungry for answers as the rest of the group. While it was clear nobody there really had the big picture (except possibly the still asleep Tawna), everyone was more than happy to give Haru the shortened version: how the crowd had found them bleeding out (presumably because of a rather brutal fight) on an alleyway leading to Old Terminus, and had to be taken inmediatelly to the hospital for treatment.
Carlos stood quiet for a bit, nodding as the others recounted the events, only chiming in at the very end to add, “Yeah, you guys had us downright worried. Heck, even Dio offered to digivolve just to help carry you there.” He said, slightly patting the imp on the head with just the smallest hint of pride in his tone. It had been a very rare moment of empathy from his companion, but one he wasn’t going to let slide. Having his usually self centered partner worry for someone else was a good sign. Hearing said partner actually offering out to help someone they knew was a huge step in the right direction.
“S-shut up, it was nothing.” Dio stammered, folding his arms as he looked the other way, clearly feeling embarrassed over having his softer side exposed so clearly for everyone to see. "T-the Dark Lord wouldn't allow for a...a loyal subject to die." He quickly added, his tone making the lie even more painfully obvious than what it was.
That said, witnessingTawna act so emotive for once, clearly still shaken up by whatever had happened turned the duo’s expressions even more grim than before. They honestly couldn’t blame the small Champion digimon for acting that way.
After all, unlike the others there, both Carlos and Dio had experienced firsthand just how dangerous Old Terminus was, both for digimon and humans alike. Dio in particular had been through not one but two near death experiences not too dissimilar to that of Tawna during their first visit to the ominous underground city ruin. Granted, he at least had the benefit of having another digimon looking out for him that time, else he would probably be dead now, so it was almost a miracle that they were both still in one piece.
“Who did this? Tell us so that the Dark Lord Dio makes them rue the day they were born.” The imp said, a vengeful tone in his voice, angry at seeing both of them in such a sad state. Clearly, he was taking this about as well as everyone else.
Carlos, somewhat sharing that sentiment, knew it was probably wise to let Haru’s partner be the one to tell them everything she knew, seeing how she was the only one of the two that actually remembered. That said, he was not going to force them to speak any further about this if they didn’t want to share.
“Look, if you don’t feel like talking about it that’s perfectly fine. What matters is you guys are safe now.”

Haru actually blinked twice in mild disbelief... both from the idea that she and Tawna had apparently gotten into a really bad fight, but also with the sudden arrival of Yukiko and Mizu (the tall, tan girl shoving all manners of gifts into the girl's arms). Whatever surprise Haru did have fortunately did at least turn into a warm, appreciative smile directed to Yukiko and everyone else around. "I... thank you, I'm doing fine. N-now at least." she spoke, giving Dio a cheeky smile. Oh god she wanted to pinch his cheek so badly... but she was trying her best to not move too suddenly.
Warm thoughts aside, Haru did wince slightly from Bloom's description, even if it had been interrupted by Miyu. "... Yeesh, w-was it really that bad?" she asked, glancing over at Tawna briefly (whom turned away briefly, their ears tilting downward).
... Guess it really was that bad.
Still, that was a good question... What even did attack them? She... she did remember heading down to Old Terminus with Tawna, but everything else after was a blank. "...? What... what did attack us anyway?" she asked, a question directed towards her partner.
Tawna flinched slightly, her vision drifting off to the side as her tendrils hugged close to her own body defensively. All the eyes directed at her... did make her uncomfortable. At the same time, there was something about this that made her uncomfortable in another manner... but what? She attempted to shake off the feeling in her head, a sharp headache starting to form in the Meicoomon's mind as she recalled both her memories... and that of their foe. "Arkadimon. Tried to kill you. Number 20. I didn't let him." she very quickly spoke, not pausing even briefly.
Haru paused as she attempted to comprehend the cat's words, she noticing the tone shift in their voice. She had known the maine coone long enough to know that there was more to this... but what? "...? You need to slow down Tawna. Can you please explain?" she pleaded the feline, pulling her covers up a bit more.
Tawna's face grew stiff, her body shivering almost imperceptibly... Why was she hesitating now? She didn't even know... In the end, she caved in. "He tried... to kill you. Me too, but especially you. You were to be his 20th victim... human victim." she spoke in her standard deadpan voice, though it didn't match the emotions she was feeling right now. She tilted her head down, attempting to avoid looking at anyone's eyes. "You need not concern yourself with him Dio... I killed and absorbed all of his data, so he will never come back."
Haru... remained quiet, though it was clear that her partner's words had... well, shut her up. Both physically and emotionally.
She felt as if she had just been slapped in the face just now and her mind was still attempting to realize what even just happened. She... actually was at a legit loss for words.

Adrian was surprised by the sudden arrival of another tamer as well. Man, Haru sure did have a lot of friends, didn't she...? Then again, it's not everyday you find two badly beaten people lying in the middle of an alley.
"You really have no idea what happened?" Shoutmon asked, concerned. "And yes, it really was that bad. You looked absolutely horrible, Haru... at least this hospital was able to fix you and Tawna up."
Suddenly, Tawna then spoke up, but she spoke so quickly neither tamer nor Digimon got any of what she was saying. "Uh, come again?" Adrian asks.
He really wish he didn't.
Both he and Shoutmon watched Tawna in horror as she explained what happened. A murderous Arkadimon, who had killed nineteen humans before that... They couldn't believe it.
"Arkadimon..." Shoutmon says, a clear anger in his voice. "One of the most evil Digimon out there..."
"Oh, my god..." Adrian croaks, his voice hoarse from fear. A murderous Digimon...? And he killed nineteen humans before... were they all Tamers as well?
What amazed Adrian the most was the fact that Tawna had WON the fight... and killed Arkadimon.
"I... I..." Adrian mumbles. What was he gonna say?
"They killed humans..." Shoutmon says, tears visibly running from his eyes. "They don't come back like Digimon can... do they? And what if those humans were Tamers... what about their Digimon? How are they going to react?"

Miyu was surprise to see Yukiko and Mizu enter the room too, her smile get a littl bit bigger, it was nice to see how many people Haru had met and were worried about her even if it was just for a couple of days they were there, a nice sign of a good friendship.
Her smile disappear once she heard what happen, it was kinda difficult to understand at first, Tawna didn't seem to tell what really happen but once she did... The chinese girl realize that she didn't even thought about the dangers of the digital world, if a thing like that Arkadimon could exist with a number of victims of 19 and just thinking that Haru could've been the next one strike fear inside her... She couldn't force her smile anymore...
"No Shoutmon... We humans can't comeback like you guys can..." Her voice was a little more gloomier, it make a weird to hear after all she was always so cheerful.
"Nor that Arkadimon will..." Bloom added, like Miyu her voice was different, a little more serious than usual.
Palmon didn't say anything else, it seemed like she had something on her mind but didn't know what to say, Miyu could only look at her confuse, didn't digimon suppose to reborn? Bloom noted the expresion on her Tamer and decided to speak again.
"When a Digimon dies their data re-writes itself to form a digitama and reborn... But it can also happen that someone else absorbs that data... If the data is absorbed it's imposible to turn into a digitama and the cycle of rebirth ends right there... Bloom sighed. "Tawna just..." It was hard for Bloom to say it, she was conflicted on the actions of Haru's Partner... "She just cut the cycle of rebirth... She kill the Arkadimon...
If Miyu's mood wasn't death before that, now it certainly was but she wasn't as conflicted as Bloom, she sided with Tawna on this, if she didn't do that Haru could've died, the chinese girl decided to remain silent for now after all she saw that Palmon wasn't a 100% agreeing with that and starting an argument right now wouldn't be a smart thing.

Yukiko watched as Miyu, Haru and Adrian talked about what had caused Haru to end up in hospital. Arkadimon...a purely evil Digimon...a -serial killer-, even...and it hunted humans...it was an utterly terrifying and harrowing thought that sent a shiver through Yukiko. "O-o-o-oh my, is that really true? A s-s-s-serial killer Digimon?" Mizu's expression was grim, a rarity on her face. "Yes, indeed. Not all Digimon are good people. Some are evil, as bad or worse than any human criminal. And you can never tell who is evil and who isn't beforehand." Yukiko blinked, then stared at the ground. She had figured as much when she met those two criminals and that...-thing- in Whitewater. But seeing Haru like this just brought it back in cold, painful detail. "I'm s-s-s-so sorry this happened to you, Haru...w-w-w-we should've explored together...th-th-then we could've protected you..."

For a short, sweet moment Carlos felt…oddly happy despite what had happened. Sure, Haru had been in danger and had to recover now, but at least she was alive and seemingly fine. Plus she had a lot of people clearly looking out for her. Maybe things would be alright in the end.
Of course, any momentary feeling of happiness and camaraderie was immediately crushed when Tawna spoke again, revealing the grisly truth. Of how they had almost been murdered by an Arkadimon with a kill count of 19 other individuals…and how Tawna had been forced to kill him and absorb him, effectively ending the monster forever.
Both the man’s and the impmon’s reactions were similar to that of the rest of the group, their eyes widening with shock, falling silent a moment later, grim expressions on their faces as the information set in.
“…good god…” Was all Carlos could mutter out, pinching the bridge of his nose as he let out a long sigh. This…this really changed so many things. Sure, he knew the Digital World was a dangerous one, perhaps more dangerous than what it was immediately obvious. But…to know their friend had been this close to actually being murdered, butchered without mercy…it was a bit too much for even the Carlos to take.
Perhaps the information hit them harder than the others in their own personal way, as the duo had been around Old Terminus too. Twice, in fact they had found the place not long after first arriving on the Digital World the first time.
All the while a serial killer, a murderous monster roamed the dilapidated ruins of the city. It was almost a miracle that they had never came across him during both visits…else they would probably be dead now, just being part of the monster’s grim collection of souvenirs.
A depressing silence took over everyone on the room, nobody on the group taking this revelation well. However, Dio soon broke the silence, folding his arms as he did so in a futile attempt at appearing cool and collected, when in reality it was obvious what he really felt..
“Tch. Good riddance I say, that bastard deserved worse.” He said, a purely angry expression on his face.
“Dio…” The man said, sadness in his voice as he opened his mouth to calm his partner down, before being swifly silenced by Dio shooting him a profoundly angry glare.
“Don’t.” He hushed the tamer with a hateful glare and a trembling voice, knowing full well what he was going to say. “He had it coming! He was a murderer, and he was going to murder them both! What else was she to do? Let him go with a warning? Risk that thing coming back later? No. She did just work ending him and making sure he won’t be back.” “If we had been in that situation I would have done the same.” He declared, without hesitation.
As someone that had grown on the Dark Area, the impmon had no such reservations about mercy. Down there in that hellscape, it was kill or be killed, and if you refused any chance you had to become stronger you were only wasting a valuable tool for survival…granted he had never been able to absorb any other digimon before, mostly because he was usually attacked by things it was better to run away from. Regardless, in the end he didn’t care what anyone else thought of him, but he would never judge the Meicoomon for making that call. As far as he was concerned, she was the smartest one there.

Haru remained in bed, her breathing slow and a bit pained as she sure enough, the reactions began pouring in. Shock, disgust, acceptance... all were varying opinions, but Haru could only lean towards the first two. While she accepted Yukiko's hug, it did nothing to relieve that dark feeling inside. Her expression grew pained as she stared at Tawna, a pulsing ache surging in her head. In the end... she could withhold utter disappointment and horror at the actions of her partner... her friend. "... You could have just let the data go." she weakly muttered, sharing somewhat the same opinion as Bloom's. Maybe they were a monster, but was it really justified taking their life for good?
Tawna normally was not one to ever get irritated, especially around Haru... but this time was different. Instead of receiving perhaps praise, thanks, and general affection for saving her tamer's life... she is rewarded with hostility. A genuine look of shock appeared on the feline's face, for a moment unsure what to think as she gazed at Haru... "And what? Allow that thing to come back, to kill more innocents? Or worse... come back to try and finish the job?" she exclaimed, her voice raising slightly.
Haru on the otherhand... well, she snapped. It has been... a long time since she's ever gotten angry, but this was one of those times. She could tolerate a lot of things, but what Tawna did... it was unacceptable. Awful even. "He could have changed! You didn't give him a second chance!"
The Meicoomon's face scowled, she bearing her teeth. "He DIDN'T give all of those people a second chance... He didn't DESERVE a happy chance." she growled, her face growing pained... an agonizing pain rushing into the Meicoomon's head.
"That doesn't mean you needed to follow his footsteps!" the girl screeched at the cat... before pausing as she saw Tawna's face.
They had tears.
Tawna remained speechless with a look of shock directed towards Haru... before bolting out of the room on all-fours. It was only then did the girl's tone in her voice shifted from anger... to regret. "W-wait! T-Tawna!" she pleadingly called out for her partner... though it was too late, for the Meicoomon was already out of the room. The look on the girl's face... it was a look of sheer anguish.
She was at a lost of what to do... the only thing she could think of was attempt to chase after her fleeing partner. The girl hustled to get out of bed, but she grunted as a sharp pain struck her side, making her movements slow.
