We got here, now how do we get Home? [Cole/Cas]

The early morning sun still sat low in the sky, casting shaded beams of sunlight across the village Tsuki lived in. Behind Tsuki's house was the tent our group had taken rest in the night before. The beams from the sun was lighting up one side of the tent--ironically the side Cole was facing. It was just like the morning before, 'cept at least that time he was able to sleep in a bed in Cas's living room. Now he'd wake up sore from sleeping in the tent, sleeping bag or not, it was no comfy bed. Cole's eyes would stir, before opening slightly. At least this time it wasn't direct sunlight in his eyes, just the glow on the tent. He'd stretch and sit up, yawning silently as he pushed his arms out. He'd wince once, looking at his right hand...the bandage Cas put on it hours ago reminding him of his recklessness.
After he seemed to get his body in mostly working order the man would sit with his legs crossed, remaining quiet to let Cas and the twins sleep. He'd fish into his pocket and snag his D3, the man looking at the device. 'Don't suppose it tells the time...' crossed his mind as jaded jade hues looked at it half lidded. He set it down and pulled out his pocket watch, the chain making the slightest sound as he did. He opened it and looked, but only found an impossible time on it. Great, time works differently here, good to know. He rolled his eyes and held himself from an annoyed sigh to keep quiet instead. He put it back into his pocket and once again looked at the D3 next to him...
In the house the tent sat behind, Tsuki was already awake. She'd gone to sleep pretty quickly once she went to bed, the BlackGabumon was busy making breakfast for everyone. Pancakes, something she knew Humans liked for breakfast. She knew the meal lastnight wasn't great, this should fill up the group a lot better then some fish over the fire. Soon enough she had stacks made for everyone, and the smell was starting to make its way out and to the tent. Cole sniffed as he sat fiddling with his Digivice, blinking. "...That smells good." he said near silently to himself.

There was little sign of life from Cas or the twins. At some point in the night the woman had pulled the sleeping bag mostly over her head leaving just the tips of her blonde hair to be seen and the two lumps on either side over her sleeping form that were undoubtedly her digimon. One lump though was beginning to stir as Dagger, the Sakuttomon struggled his way free blinking groggily and nose twitching as he scented the air in excitement. He knew that smell though it had been a rarity in Cas's home given that she and Cloak were more waffle people, but the little in-training would never forget such a sweet scent.
"Pancakes!" Dagger whispered yelled in excitement bouncing up and down beside Cas and Cloak earning a pair of muffled groans and a "Go back to sleep damnit!" From his brother as Cas and the remaining lump that was undoubtedly Cloak seemed to try to curl in even tighter to block out the sun, morning, and Dagger's general excitement.

Cole noticed one of the lumps within Cas's sleeping bag start moving only a moment after the smell hit the tent. Sure enough as Cole guessed, Dagger emerged, the digimon excited and even calling out what it was. This was met by clear annoyance by Cloak, and he sighed. "These two..." he mumbled quietly. He'd push himself to stand up, at least the best he could in the somewhat small tent. Wouldn't call it cramped...but probably good Tsuki wasn't there to take up what little room there had been between where Cole slept and Cas and the twins did. He shuffled his way over to the doorway of the tent and unzipped it, stepping out and standing upright, arching his back to get it to pop--causing Cole to wince.
About that time Tsuki came outside--she had a plate in each hand...all 4 hands. She'd walk back to where everyone was, setting the plates out on the benches by the campfire and looking over to give Cole a smile. "Ohayou" she chimed, oddly in Japanese. Cole blinked...the only reason he knew what it meant was the closeness to the name of the State he lived in years ago back in the U.S. "Morning..." the man said groggily. Tsuki glanced down, seeing his hand was wrapped up. 'Good...Cas took care of him lastnight.' Tsuki thought to herself, smiling. "I made enough for everyone so dig in." she'd say, he jogging off back towards the house to grab her own plate.
Cole sighed and walked over, picking up a plate and sitting where it had been sat on the bench, laying it in his lap as he took the fork and begun cutting into the pancakes. A moment later Tsuki returned with her own, Cole was already on his 2nd bite by now. "Thank you Tsuki." Cole would say before getting into his third bite. Tsuki nodded as she started munching on her own, hoping the others would come join them. Soon enough Cole finished, he'd been pretty hungry and pretty much scarfed it all down quickly. He'd lean his head back, trying to relax a little.

"Casssss Cas pancakes!" Dagger whined nudging the lumps that were Cas and Cloak even as he peaked out the open tent door spying Tsuki with the plates as his mouth began to water.
"Cassss I don't have fingers....." The in-training keened seeming to hit a new octave only capable of being heard by fangirls and dogs in his hunger as the woman finally struggled from the sleeping bag with a yawn. This earned a disgruntled growl from Cloak, but scooping the Caprimon up Cas ambled out of the tent doing her best not to stumble as she flopped down on the grass next to the plates.
"Shush Dagger. It's too early for this much noise." Cas muttered cutting up the pancakes as she shoved a fork full into the Sakuttomon's mouth to gain his silence before working to feed herself and Cloak.
"It's too early for any noise." Cloak griped curling himself up in the Doctor's lap upon her skirt with a sigh. At least her normal clothes would be dry by now though the Caprimon would be sorry to see the end of his Tamer dressed so prettily, but he really was worried she might hurt herself or get tangled up in the woods with such an outfit.

Cole seen the trio of Cas and the twins pile out of the tent, Cas visibly annoyed with Dagger's antics this early. He almost wanted to laugh lightly but didn't, giving the woman some time before he'd say much to her--letting her start feeding dagger and maybe have a moment to collect herself from just having woke up. Frankly Cole felt the same, luckily he was a bit more of a morning person then Cas it seemed. This was two mornings in a row he'd woke up before her, despite going to sleep later both times...granted only by minutes this time.
"Morning Cas..." he'd say to her with a nod in her direction. He still had what she'd said on his mind from lastnight before he went to bed...but he wouldn't bring anything up. Tsuki would be finishing her plate by now, she had a big mouth...she could've ate them in one bite if she didn't have any shame. She'd see how sleepy the two humans looked, tilting her head. "I could get you two some coffee or tea if you'd like?" she'd offer. Cole looked over to Tsuki. "Some coffee might be nice." he'd respond, Tsuki nodding then looking to Cas for an answer.

"Morning Cole..." Cas answered with another jaw cracking yawn as she shoved food into her two in-training companion's faces. The two Digimon relatively quiet with the prospect of being feed though Cloak still appeared rather grumpy. At the mention of two however, both Cloak and Cas perked up and even Dagger paused in wolfing down his pancakes.
"Tea please." Cas murmured earning a chorus of "Yes please!" From her two Digimon. Both of them long since having become spoiled for morning tea with their Tamer's taste in brews. Not that the likes of Dagger needed Coffee anyway. The idea of the little bladed Digimon having that much caffeine enough to make Cas shudder.
"Honestly I'll feel much more alive after a hot cup of tea." Cas muttered sleepily before taking a bite of her own pancakes and trying not to make a face a the fluffy food.

Tsuki nodded after hearing the answers and hopped off. Cole was forced to yawn after seeing Cas do it, damn thing was contagious...He sighed quietly. It'd be a few minutes, but eventually Tsuki returned, just like earlier--a cup in each hand .Wow that had its advantages at times...Cole would stand and meet her part of the way to at least alleviate her from one of the cups--the only coffee among the 4.
Tsuki brought Cas, Cloak, and Dagger cups. The ones she made for the twins was in more like a bowl-cup so it'd be easier for them to drink without Cas's aid. She'd set them out for the two in-training 'mon, then handed Cas her's, smiling at the woman. "Hope you slept well." she said happily...how could she be this cheery this early? Tsuki was a bit of a goofball even if she didn't realize it. Cole sat back on one of the benches and drank the coffee, after a sip he tried to hide it...but he burnt his tongue and his facial expression told it all. He set the coffee down, Tsuki sat down on the bench Cole was sitting on. He'd look over to her. "Tsuki, you seem to know a lot about the Digital World...do you know of any ways me and Cas could get back to our world? I...don't think we wanna try that portal we went through at the river--even if it was still there..." he'd say, thoughts of falling into the Shibuya 'River' just to end up in a real one sounding like just a bad thing all around.
Tsuki tilted her head. "Well...You could take a trailmon to the station in Terminus...A station you can catch one at is only bout a half hours walk from here. I heard there is a trailmon at the Terminus station you can take from there that should bring you back to the human world safely." Tsuki explained, giving them an idea of what they could do to get home...Cole grunted. "...Another train...great."...he clearly had a distaste for trains and subways, why? He must have some reason for this...he tried to avoid them like the plague and here he was within 2 days needing to get on a train twice. He grumbled out his frustration about trains as he took a sip of his now cooler coffee. "Thank you for the info though Tsuki, I do appciate it." he'd say. Tsuki smiled. "Mhmm!" the BlackGabumon chimed. "Well...what you think Cas, should we try her idea?" Cole asked, looking over to the woman.
"Oh, that reminds me, your clothes are all dry now." Tsuki said as she hopped up and went to get Cole and Cas's clothes off the clothesline. She'd bring them over to them, setting them down where they could easily get to them to change. Cole being a typical guy didn't give a damn and grabbed his shirt, quickly turning his back to the group and stripping off the one he had on, this would reveal the large and rather beautiful mural of a blooming Sakura tree across his entire back in ink. Tsuki blinked seeing the tattoos before Cole had his own shirt back on and would turn back to the group...he'd go change his pants later somewhere it was more appropriate--like in the tent or something.

Taking the cup of tea with a smile Cas slowly warms her hands around the porcelain mug sniffing the rich liquid lightly before taking a sip and letting out a content hum. A noise Cloak and Dagger soon echo as the woman's eyes go half-lidded in pleasure as she sips the drink. "Thank you Tsuki." Cas murmurs content to be silent for now as she listens to the Digimon's suggestion and watched Cole scowl at the prospect of trains with amusement. Trying to resist the urge to yawn yet again as she enjoyed her tea Cas nodded along to the conversation.
"It seems like the best and safest bet as far as I can tell." She suggests savoring her drink before rising to collect her clothes from Tsuki. She'd set them inside the tent to change into in a few moments, but settled instead back on the log to finish her breakfast and tea. Not nearly the rapid eater Cole was even though Cloak and Dagger and pretty much decimated their own meals leaving Cas to wrap up hers a bit more slowly without her digimon's starving pleas.
"Will you be coming with us Tsuki? I'm not sure we'll know the way without a guide." Cas suggested already suspecting the BlackGabumon to be Cole's partner.

Tsuki was glad when she heard the content sounds coming from Cas and both twins as they seemed to enjoy their tree, making the BlackGabumon smile warmly. "You're welcome sweetie" Tsuki responded once Cas thanked her, Tsuki giving a happy nod with her response. Cole was visibly annoyed at the prospect of getting on another train so soon after they'd just taken the subway, but he kept his complains to himself, the man taking another larger dink of the coffee from the mug that Tsuki had provided him. He sighed in slight annoyance but this was the last peep out of him about it, the man taking this chance to go ahead and go into the tent and change back into his jeans while Cas was still eating, and seemingly had a question for Tsuki
"Well I figured I'd show you guys to the station, make sure you get there safe. After that I don't know...I kinda protect this village, sure I'm not the only protector here but I like to stay around here." Tsuki explained to Cas. Obviously Tsuki didn't get this same feeling Cas secretly had, that Tsuki was Cole's partner--and even though in time they would come to find this out to be true, for now Tsuki was unsure how long she'd be sticking around the group. She thought a moment. "I wouldn't mind it though...getting back out into the world and traveling would be nice--but what about when you go back to the Human world? Surely I shouldn't go there...I know most humans don't even know us Digimon exist." she'd go on to question, looking back to Cas. It'd be about this time Cole returned from the tent, finally in his own clothes...still missing that button up shirt, it was a lost cause, washed away by the river yesterday. As he walked out he appeared to be trying to fix the bandage on his hand that Cas had done up last night before bed, it came a bit loose when he was changing and he was trying to tighten it back down.

"Come here Cole I'll fix that for you before I go change." Cas muttered setting her tea aside as she motioned the man over. Should he come settle beside her to let her fix the bandages she'd make neat work on re-tightening them and reapplying the tape. "There." She murmured glancing up to continue her conversation with Tsuki. For the moment at least Cloak and Dagger were content to laze on the grass in the sun enjoying their tea, full bellies, and the warmth.
"Well no most humans aren't aware of the digital world, but it's not too hard to sneak a Digimon around if you're clever about it. I've had Cloak and Dagger for a little less then a month without too many complications." She explained glancing between Cole and Tsuki before shrugging.
"Well we'd certain appreciate you guiding us. Just seems a shame we might not see you again or that you can't explore a little more." Cas murmured finishing up her tea as she rose to take her turn in the tent leaving Cole and Tsuki to talk on their own or at least as on your own as one could be with a pair of napping in-training digimon nearby.

The tall man was still fidgeting with the bandage when he heard Cas call him over, the man looking up and over to her. He paused a moment, as if he was going to deny the offer for help with it. But thoughts of what Cas said the night before crossed his mind, and Cole would give one nod, stepping over to the sleepy female in the pretty blue dress and holding his hand out to let her fix it for him. "Thank you..." he said quietly to Cas once she fixed the bandage for him.
He'd listen to Cas respond to Tsuki, a little lost as to what the two girls among the group was talking about at first until he could pick it up from context clues, having been in the tent changing when Cas and Tsuki started this conversation. "Hmm....well either way I'm still gonna at least stick around until you guys get on the train. I'm not sure how well I'd do in your world, even if you could manage to keep me hidden." Tsuki would respond to Cas. Cole glanced between the shorter blonde and the BlackGabumon, gathering what he missed out of what they was saying. "I think it'd be good for you Tsuki, sometimes....its not so bad to get out and experience new things." Cole chimed in, a rather odd choice of words coming from a man who spent most his free time hidden away from the world...but with his adventures the last couple days...the man was changing his mind on some things.
Despite all they'd been through in the last 48 hours...Cole was somewhat happy, not about the situation--it sucked--but...happy to get out...to see the world...to meet new people. "I mean...just a couple days ago I didn't know Cas and the twins, you, the Digital World...and yeah this place is dangerous, I don't like it here...but at least its new...something different in my life." he'd go on to follow up with. Tsuki looked to Cole, tilting her head...she'd smile after a moment. "We'll see" she responded, likely about the time Cas went to go change in the tent. Cole would walk back over to where he'd sat and re-took his place on the bench, grabbing the mug of coffee he still had some left in and drinking it, yawning afterwords.
Well, this was about as awake as he was gonna get...now if only everyone else was ready to move. He knew better then to rush Cas, that...could only end badly, so he just patiently waited for her to return from changing. Admittedly, he would be sad to see Cas return to her normal outfit...the man liked blue, and thought Cas looked better in the dress. Tsuki hopped up and started gatherng all the dishes from breakfast, Cole deciding to go ahead and help by grabbing some as well and helping Tsuki take them inside--the two returning only a minute later, hopefully about the time Cas should return.

Cas carefully laid out her now dry clothes within the tent. Taking a moment to make certain everything in her pockets had survived the sudden dip into the river and carefully breaking in the leather of her jacket which had grown a touch stiff between her hands once more. It was strangely soothing this careful sorting and assessment even as she looped her belt off of her waist and set it with her things once she'd changed back into her pants and normal shirt. Checking the pockets of the dress once more to ensure she hand't missed anything though would turn up an unexpected complication. A digivice.
"No..." Cas whispered softly gripping the device with such fury and conflict it was amazing it's screen did not shatter outright as she fought against her innate urge to throw the object as far away from her as possible. She hadn't wanted this. Hadn't needed this responsibility and now here it was. She didn't even need to ask to know which digimon the device was connected to. Not when she could practically feel their bond humming.
Closing her eyes Cas fought to breath through her nose and not have a panic attack as she shoved her feelings down into the deepest darkest part of her mind to be dealt with later. Much like the digivice which she shoved into one of the unused zip pouches of her cargo pants as she pulled them on and got dressed. Face emotionless she hefted her bag and stepped out of the tent once more.
"All right let's go." The Doctor murmured softly.

Cole and Tsuki had just returned, the two standing over near the twins by the time Cas would return, Cole catching the slightest hint of her emotionless expression as the woman came out of the tent. She was trying to hide it, and did a good job for the most part, but Cole got an odd vibe when he seen her. He'd quickly put it to the back of his mind though, Cas seemed ready to go--which he was glad to hear. Cole nodded to her in response, then looked to the BlackGabumon beside him. Tsuki had looked between the two, head tilting. "Well...if everyone is ready. There is a Trailmon station in the next town over, so we can head there." Tsuki would inform everyone, the 'mon shifting and jogging over to the entrance to the woods behind her home, a path cutting through the trees not too far from where they'd camped. She'd stop and wait here for everyone, turning to look at them.
Cole would walk about half way between the camp and Tsuki, stopping to turn and look back to Cas, just checking to see if she had any trouble rounding up Cloak and Dagger. He doubted she'd have any issues through, and he'd turn to follow Tsuki. Tsuki waited only a moment more for them to catch up to her before turning to go down the path and walking along it. "Its not too far of a walk luckily." she told them as they went on along the path through the woods. "...Why does it have to be a train though?" Cole griped quietly, huffing a sigh. He'd glance over to Cas, then reluctantly look forward. "But if it means getting us home I guess thats all that matters..." he said, putting away his hate for trains...for now. "...Wait...you called it a Trailmon, does that mean the train is...?" "Yes, A digimon just like me...well, a lot bigger then me, but still."

"Some of my clients have mentioned Trailmon before. They apparently make track as they go and while typically reliable will sometimes decide to go where they want rather then where you need to get to." Cas murmurs shrugging at the prospect of a walk, but stooping down to scoop up Cloak and Dagger settling Dagger on her back to perch on her backpack and tucking Cloak in her arms. She'd let them trade off in a bit after some walking.
"Still trains aren't that bad and if we're lucky we'll avoid anymore hostile digimon." She adds trying hard to make light conversation and put on a false cheer, but whenever someone wasn't looking her face would slide back to a rather thoughtful and pensive look. At least with Tsuki leading them the group was unlikely to get too terribly lost. A boon for them giving neither knew the woods very well nor the world for that matter.

Cole heard what Cas had to say about trailmon, it really didn't put the man at any ease...great, a train with a mind of its own, how can that go wrong? His head dropped at the thought as he walked. She added onto this a moment later once they'd gotten into the woods and was on their way. "Yeah its the safest way for anyone to get around, Trailmon are large and fast, even if not meant to fight other Digimon usually leave them be." Tsuki explained, Cole's head rising to look ahead at the BlackGabumon. "...But its a train." he said quietly enough most likely no one heard it.
They'd go on, a silence falling over the group for a few minutes as they walked. The village was no longer in sight behind them--Cole glancing over his shoulder to see this. In this glance he caught Cas in her look of deep thought, as if she was in her own mind and shutting out the world for a moment. Tsuki had been basically jogging and Cole's legs was longer then Cas's, he naturally walked faster then her, but he'd look forward while slowly making his pace slower--eventually dropping back to come to walk beside Cas. He'd remain quiet though, eyes averting off to the side.
