That was more like it. Teasing being followed with comments of the similar vein rather than serious statements was something Amelie could get behind. "Maybe at some point in the future, who knows! Right now, I don't feel like getting my hands dirty, and in a lopsided fight to boot. Those aren't fun, don't you think?"

Was she getting too far? She had no idea; and frankly, didn't care! At least Kyo seemed to be pretty okay with the potential dangers this world could have. That was pretty nice, in a sense, or... could get him killed, but only time could tell that. Still tackling the mysterious adventure world head-on was something the teenager definitely could appreciate.

"Believe me when I say that Greater Shibuya isn't that bad compared to its equivalent in this world. Still, I like that attitude of yours; you'll definitely enjoy this world. Or that's what I think, at least."

What Amy didn't expect, however, was the compliment about her name. Unwittingly, a faint shade of pink began to creep through her cheeks. "Thanks. Kyosuke ain't that bad either, I guess."

Despite her reaction being pretty... well, interesting at the sudden compliment, she still kept her mind in what was important. Finding the city that could be seen a mile away. Were they even on the way? The brunette had no idea.

Kyo definitely knew what was up, and as a result, Amy nodded sagely. "Exactly! Do you imagine what could happen if I broke a nail or something?" An exaggerated gasp followed suit. "It'd be horrible!"

However, a fierce smile graced her face at the mention of a... spar. For a moment, she seemed to honestly be fired up; even if that flame promptly died right away and was replaced by a way more neutral expression. "Thinking about the future so quickly may not be the best of ideas. But... if you still wanna lose spectacularly after that, I'm game."

At this point, she didn't know if things were getting out of hand or not. And honestly? She didn't care all that much. But anyway! Kyo to the Dark Area, huh? That'd be interesting to watch, and even... "Well, I've meant to go to the Dark Area for a while, so if you ever plan on going there, we could go together. At least if you plan on not getting your behind kicked all that much."

There was safety in numbers after all, right? In any case, it wasn't like she was expecting a positive response or anything of the sort. At the mention of his name, however, the brunette just shrugged. "I mean, Amelie is a common name too; maybe not in Japan but, pretty much everyone else goes 'Amelie!? Like the movie?' and, well, yeah."

His nickname, though. Now, her curiosity was piqued. "Take you don't want to divulge any embarrassing nicknames? I'd love to hear, though!"

The duo definitely were partaking in a decent number of interesting shenanigans. Maybe a friendship was forming right now? There was no way for Amelie to know, but the forecast was looking good right now! Whether that was a good thing or not... she wasn't sure of, but that was life was about, wasn't it?

"Yup, a total shame. Especially since you'd have to pay for the manicurist. Things losers do, you know?" She wasn't relenting, wasn't she? Maybe it was just too fun to pass those opportunities up. And Kyo didn't seem to mind, so why not?

Strangely sobering, however, was the comment about the man's desire to not looking at either the present or the past; that was a bit sad, in a sense. And enough for Amelie to say something remotely serious. "If you ask me, setting your sights entirely on what we don't have or haven't done yet is a waste of time. No matter how harsh, there are lessons to be learned from everything we live. Just dismissing those sounds a bit dumb to me."

A strange bit of wisdom in a sea of teasing? Talk about weird, and it wasn't like she would remain like that for too much time, even. Kyo's remark about a date in the Dark area was equal parts flattering and ridiculous; enough that the pale shade of pink decided to climb its way towards her cheeks once again, even if with less power than before.

"You want a date, huh?" The brunette couldn't hold a snicker as she parroted those words. "Sure, sounds like fun. Since you asked so nicely, I'll let you pay for dinner. Ain't that nice?"

Amy just couldn't hold it anymore and began giggling at the remark. Not the most polite thing to do, but it was fun! After the laughter subsided, she took a peek at the back of Kyo's jacket, just to find the nickname. "The Ravaging Wolf"

Not laugh? Too late; not a moment afterward, the fit of giggles came back in full force. "I'm sorry haha." And couldn't stop even if she tried to reign herself. "It's just that it's so funny hahahaha."

Probably not the best impression, but this time at least she couldn't avoid it! Luckily for the two of them, a city seemed to begin appearing on the distance, even though Amelie was too busy laughing in order to notice it.

Kyo's question was probably expected. And so was its answer! A firm nod coming from Amelie's stead.

"Who doesn't enjoy a round of harmless teasing? No one is getting injured as far as I can see and I'd guess you are not going to take a grudge for something like that, right? It's only for good fun, after all!"

Yeah, maybe her fun, but the comment was still more or less true, right? However, there were moments where she seemed relatively serious. "I don't think you're dumb. Everyone has their opinions, and you don't necessarily have to agree with me, even though I'm right more often than not." Okay, maybe not. "I'm not an expert at living; just sharing my own experiences, you know?"

How the idea of the date was seemingly coming too far wasn't something she was entirely opposed to, but neither something she'd take too seriously, even though she couldn't avoid feeling a little embarrassed about it. Teenager stuff! "Okay. As long as I don't get to drink wasabi beer, I think I'll be fine."

Luckily, the conversation didn't stop there, but had to get to the man's pretty... interesting nickname. Yeah, Amy didn't want to continue laughing, but she just couldn't. It was beginning to hurt a bit, even.

Eventually, she calmed down, a bit. Or at least enough to talk. "Fine, fine. I swear I tried to." Hold the laughter off, just a bit more. "But... I couldn't. Sorry?"

Oh hey! Terminus was actually in the distance! Now the brunette could see the clear form of the city really far in the distance. That was a relief. "Look, there! At least that means we'll get there. Eventually."

In the end, a shrug was the final response on Amy's stead. "Whooo knows, indeed.At least I'm glad you're enjoying the company. Maybe you thought I was the most unpleasant person around or something."

Why would he think that when she was actually the cutest and most adorable and helpful person ever? That was to anyone's guess, but the brunette had the sensation that a lot of people would just disagree with her assessment!

It was true that they were essentially two different human beings that probably had lived through different events and had experienced life in their own way. That applied to pretty much everyone, yet... "Well, only time will be able to tell if I end up thinking you're dumb or not!"

And, luckily for her, this person wouldn't make her try wasabi beer! Now that was a definite plus in case this dating thing was actually serious and not some kind of complex joke she struggled to understand. Then again, a date in the dark area would be... pretty weird, thinking seriously about it. "Never been there, personally. But I doubt we'll find unicorns and rainbows, if the name is any indication of what the place's about."

An energetic nod was her last response as Terminus became even more apparent on the horizon. They'd reach there eventually. Or... not?

"I know that you're enjoying my company so much, so I guess we can take a bit of time if you wanna." She said, a hint of a teasing smile on her face. "You know, I'd be scared of being in a city full of alien monsters if I were a newcomer and stuff. So... it's understandable."

Well, smartass was more or less fitting; and, mostly, one of the answers Amelie had expected after all that she had subjected Kyo. An amused giggle ensued. "Nah, no offense. It'd be pretty weird if you didn't call me that after all that teasing, you know?"

It was true that no one liked smartasses, but that wasn't something the brunette cared about at the moment. After all, having fun was more important than being liked, right? Well... probably! At least when the man wasn't bringing a valid question to their conversation.

"The food?" She seemed a bit thoughtful for a second. "It's mostly what you'd find in our world, with the exception of some local delicacies. I'm sure you're dying to taste a meat apple, but don't worry! Maybe we'll be able to get some at Terminus!"

Wasn't he being... a little weird? He was the one that proposed to not to rush there, and now he was the one who seemed bashful about it? As strange as that was, it probably wasn't for the best to question it just yet. Let's just go with the flow. "Alright. Let's get there, then! I'm sure we'll be able to put you into a Trailmon towards the human world." She made a small pause. "No plans coming from here, though; you were the one who said 'I wouldn't mind losing a little more time here'. Sounds like you need to make your mind, huh?"

Of course, the obvious follow up to that response was a teasing smile directed towards him.
