Aparently there are literally apples made of meat and meat farms... "What a weird yet wonderful world" Kyo thought, the more he knows the more he wants to stay and explore, but doesn't seem that exploring without a plan or supplies is a good idea, finally seeing the city and the inhabitants... Amelie wasn't lyinig when she said "city full of alien monsters" they were all different sizes and forms, he saw a lot of thinks, pink birds, robots, bugs, ogres? This city certainly had everything.
