Sportsball Field
Built due south to the Spartan Training Grounds is the Digital World's newest, most extravagant sports arena where digimon train their whole lives to be. This field was built on the commission of a mysterious benefactor (or MB) who nobody's seen, heard, or even knows the name of (but is totally good for the money, we swear) who enjoys the concept of exercise and sports more than anything else. A variety of sports from the human or digital worlds played here, with teams playing round the clock and every one broadcast on the digital world television channels: DSPN and DSPN2 with announcers on the lines to watch every second and referees to record every detail. Retractable, mechanical walls allow for the gigantic field to separate by sport, players, or even audience should the need arise. At least 17 teams alternate here, from the Dark Area's Badmen to the Folder Desert's Shades, each as unique in their abilities and play-styles as the last. For added fun, the fields can be changed if viewers in the crowd swipe enough of certain Terrain Cards. Sports can be played under human rules or Digimon rules (in which players are encouraged to cheat or be as unethical as possible).
Baseball
Just as Japanese and Americans love baseball, so does the MB. The default baseball field holds non-flammable astroturf and asbestos bases, designed for even the heaviest hitters and fastest runners of the digital world to score runs to their hearts content. Themes for this arena include Fire, Ice, Desert, and Factory.
Football (European)*
Everyone loves football (except Americans, we'll get through to them yet though)! So many Chosen Children of the past have wowed digimon with fancy footwork and speed and grace, it was only a matter of time before the digital world took it up. Titanium nets define who scores what in a game so simple a child could go pro. Themes for this Arena include Underwater, Medieval, Volcanic, and Foods.
Bowling
That's right, Bowling! Once only considered a sport only by overweight Americans, bowling gladly stands in the digital world due to the ease of access for digimon of all types, ages, and sizes. One of the sports offered to visitors as well as pros, the bowling alleys are custom made with multiple sets of lanes located next to the concession stands for an "Authentic bar and grill experience". Do good enough, and you may even show up on DSPN2! Themes include Old West, Toyland, Mountaintop, and 1950's (The human's version, that is).
Tennis
A sport that encourages you throwing things at one-another and hitting your opponent as hard as you can? We're not talking about dodgeball, we're talking about tennis! Another sports accessible to visitors, tennis is a fast-playing, easy watching sport the whole family can join in! Singles, doubles, and triples matches are as easy as one, two, and three. Themes include: Jungle, Giant World, Burning Building, and Outer Space.
Golf
Don't look away quite yet, this is another visitor sport sure to get you excited. Human golf is slow, tedious, mind-bendingly dull, but Digimon Rules golf is played with the whole team and a set of live explosives! Instead of a ball, a grenade**! Wherever the grenade explodes, you can play your next swing, so be quick and be efficient or you'll be blown away! Themes are Castle Dungeon, Far Future, Shopping Mall, and Underground Caverns
Cricket
How does it work? We don't know, but we do like hurting each-other and a large rubberized metal ball is one of the best ways to do it. Players choose to go with or without armor, swing the ball and run the bases and try not to lose consciousness in the human world's most violent sport. Themes include: Australia, Antarctica, Cul-De-Sac, and Carnival
Boxing
Admittedly, in Digimon Rules it's more like Backyard Wrestling than Boxing, but the concept of two mons fighting with whatever they can grab keeps everyone well-trained and entertained. Pugilism is a newer concept to the Digital World, as most digimon are born with claws, explosives, supernatural powers, and guns practically welded to their DNA, but nevertheless Human-rules boxing remains a popular novelty spectacle. Themes include: American High School, Parking Lot, Prison, and Gladiatorial Arena
Casino!
If poker is a sport then we're world champs. The Digital World's finest slots, cards, dice, and roulette are present to be played amongst champs and amateurs alike. Visitors can enjoy the thrill of vegas without the risk of being exposed as a Digimon and being dragged away by men in black to mysterious labs that they claim don't exist. Only human rules apply here, and cheaters will be severely dealt with. Themes include: Stage Magic, Big City, Heaven and Hell, and Fallout Shelter.
Sportsball
The game that gives the arena its name, Sportsball is the Digital World sport sweeping the nation! The rules are simple, teams of five are split amongst 5 randomly chosen sports to compete against each-other. Unlike other sports, no human rules are observed in Sportsball, and everything is legal short of assaulting the viewing audience. Playing fields intersect and equipment and players swapping between the sports is common practice. For obvious reasons, humans are not allowed to play Sportsball. Any combination of themes presented earlier can apply to the fields, leading to a unique experience every time.
Seating
Every sports field has state of the art seating with retractable seats, head and foot-rests, and vendors for all the food and drinks you want. For Golf, hover-seats are available to see the game as it happens, and state of the art light screens protect the watchers from any flying debris kicked up by our champion players.
And much more!
Don't forget to visit the concessions to purchase memorabilia of your favorite teams, players, and weapons. Go through the halls to learn more about the players, where they come from, and who their inspirations were, an educational and fun experience for the whole family! Who knows, some of the champs might be there to sign autographs themselves. Be sure to check the play schedules for special, once in a lifetime events and promotions!
*Football will be replaced with Hockey as weather permits
**Flashbang or dummy grenades can be provided upon request, humans are not allowed to play Digimon Rules golf unless accompanied by an Ultimate or higher and with these grenades
