Her warm smile was met with a hearty, but dark chuckle. The familiar accented voice Viktor carried was barely there. Hidden behind a dripping sinister curl to his words. Like a growl from a beast. But he enjoyed her playfulness regardless.
”Okay, I’m certain of an exit here. Problem is I know the Lessers know about it too. We’ll have to fight through them.”
He began moving silently, like a shadow traveling to escape the coming light. Closer and closer he moved to the sound of howling wind and just as he predicted, a mob of corrupt Digimon all held a vested interest in confining the two;
”Master. Be done with this human, she is slowing you down.”
Viktor set Cas down, then stepping over her to block her from any possible attacks. Using his tails to cover behind her and keeping her between his large legs to cradle her in the event he needed to block forward. It might have been an awkward place for Cas, but it was necessary to keep her safe.
”Get out of my way.” he drew his massive, cursed blade, ”Final warning.”
Three Yaksamon dropped from the ceiling of the cave and rushed the fox without hesitation! The three moved at incredible speeds, so much so that the they kicked up loose rocks and dirt to make their approach. But... to Viktor they were moving as though time had stopped. Painstakingly so. Without moving an inch, Viktor parried all six blades with a single move, sending each Yaksamon flying in several directions, end over end.
He would then attempt to scoop Cas up and let his killer instincts take hold, rushing one Yaksamon and bringing the blade level to it’s masked face. It hadn’t even properly landed before the blade separate the top half of it’s head from the rest of its body. With one more swift motion, Viktor used the counterweight of the falling body to throw it at the crowd!
He looked down to Cas;
”I have a plan. But you’re going to hate it.”

"You know you're really not endearing me to the plan by introducing me to the idea like that." Cas quipped tucking herself close against Viktor's leg her eyes solidly kept on the enemies before them. She really did not want to find out today if the D-reaper fox felt underwear was a priority or not Digimon hybrid or no. Fighting down the blush that tried to stain her cheeks as adrenaline and near death washed away all other thoughts then survival Cas attempted to calculate just how good her chances of making it through the exit was and far enough out into the ruins to hopefully reunite with Cloak and Dagger.
Sadly statistics were not as positive as she had hoped even as she bared her fangs snarling at the corrupted Digimon before her. "I am leaving already you thrice damned idiots. If anything you're the ones slowing us down." She growled out hoping to add some confusion to the mix even as she narrowed her red eyes at them in fury.

It seemed the crowd of indoctrinated Digimon didn't care about letting her go, they wanted her dead! A second Yaksamon jumped behind Viktor and attempted to latch onto his back, vying for Cas! But the corrupt fox was quick, so much so that he whipped around and caught the beast by the throat and lifted him off the ground, then let a terrifying roar directly into the corrupt minion's masked face. He rushed the crowd, using the dangling foe as a battering ram to clear a path.
He tossed Cas as he did, giving her the momentum she needed to at least get in front of them while he would bring his sword around, taking down any foe who dared cross the cordon he had mentally deemed. But one broke through, the last, impossibly fast corrupt Yaksamon that brought his now sharpened blades around. He looked to end Cas with one strike!
Viktor threw his sword to catch the lesser demon, but it wouldn't pierce in time. Cas would have to get creative fast or risk being severely injured or worse. Viktor could only watch as his horde jumped on him, slowly pulling him away back into the abyss of his domain.
They wanted their master, and would do anything for him. Even if it meant 'snapping' him out of this weakness.

"Son of a thrice damned f~" Cas cussed as she felt Viktor grab her by the back of the shirt all, but bodily throwing her forward over the crowd of Digimon and towards the exit like a sack of laundry. Leaving the Doctor to hit the ground hard barely managing to turn her impact into a roll born out of adrenaline as she flipped to her feet running for all she was worth towards the sunlight. Her only hope that they were making enough noise to draw Cloak and Daggers attention if the pair were searching for her. However, the Doctor would hardly escape unscathed.
Viktor was after all fast, but he couldn't take them all and as that blade flashed down the Doctor dodging to the side screaming as she felt the tip of the sword sink deep into her shoulder pinning her to the ground like a butterfly on a specimen dart board as the woman struggled. Her light shield having only taking a fraction of the blow as fingers grasped uselessly at the sand leaving her to half turn throwing the grit at the Digimon's eyes as it hissed and reared back. She was so close to the exit now. So close even as Viktor was pulled further into the darkness.
Then a pair of shadows fell across the entrance of the gave a low feral growl like thunder familiar and dark tearing it's way from a black armored chest as the Yakismon would suddenly find itself impaled upon a blood red lance. Dagger flashing to her side just as quickly as Cloak worked to help free the sword from the Doctor's shoulder and staunch the bleeding.
"Anyone else feel like dying today?" The Duramon asked flashing bright white fangs and murder in his gaze.

As he watched the sword sink into the shoulder of the Doctor, his heart sank. He had failed, and she paid the price of his failure... Or so he thought. Despite her injuries, she managed to make it ever closer to the exit. But she wasn't safe, not even with Cloak and Dagger!
The D-Reaper set to repairing the injured Yaksamon and returning them to the battle to field the Doctor and her partners. Viktor slowly stood, watching as his horde began swarming after them. Not just the Yaksamon, but several other Ultimate level and a few mega level as well! He lurked to the edge himself before displaying to the trio an impressive feat of speed, moving like a ghost before standing before the Duramon. Almost staring him down as he slammed his sword into the ground and held it, then looked to them;
"Go... Now!"
Viktor did an about face, hoping that Cloak and Dagger were smart enough to heed his words and not engage! Not so much for the fact of the horde of infected Digimon who were anything but simple infected zombies, but for the fact that Viktor was doing something drastic.
He raised his hand, looking up at his group as they rushed to attack the trio who were hopefully running! Everything moved in slow motion to the corrupt fox as the horde made it past him, inching every slowly to the Cas who herself was moving in the same motion. Viktor brought his hand down to strike the pommel of his sword as the world sped back up. A shockwave so powerful escaped the blade as it sent faults through the ground and brought down the exit around him and his horde. It also instantly vaporized any Digimon standing within a 20 meter radius to him! He simply dropped to one knee as he felt himself being buried by the massive rocks and sediment! He turned to watch Cas and her partners, getting one more look as his vision was blinded by the debris!
When the dust settled, only the wicked arm and hand of the fox could be seen from the debris as it extended outwards, like it was reaching for something... or someone. The remaining members of the infected horde looked over, then examined it. Many attempted to dig the fox out, others began digging from the other end to free their master. But as hours went on, they had no progress.
Until that corrupted hand clenched and their master rose from the debris, the fox returning to his state of mindlessness and instinct.
For Viktor, it was back to square one.
