OVERVIEW
Levin Peaks, the mountain range on the Northern Prominence. Unlike the other that's more ice based, Levin Peaks is an anomaly in itself. The mountain range, accurate it its namesake, is affected by perpetual lightning storm. Luckily it came equipped with many lightning rods, although there are chances that wild lightning still hit you. The ranges are often used by many as a place to train, second after the Spartan Training Ground. There's a saying by the inhabitant: Spartan Training Ground is only when you're young. The real challenge is here at Levin Peaks. True enough, thin air, the needed stamina to scale it, and the timing of you dodging the lightning would make it an supremely intense training.
The main goal of scaling the mountain are usually two: Training or exploring for raw materials. Considering the mountain also have several unexplored caves, There might be some expeditions that you can do. However, its rare for people to go on treasure hunting because some of these dungeons are supercharged. A protective suit is needed to pass through. Meanwhile, the training will only get more and more intense, until you reached the top where the temple is located. Those who scaled the mountain by themselves and entered through the front gate of the temple will be treated as one of the disciples. The temple also act as the de facto authority of the mountain. Any related business that related to the mountain must be discussed with the temple's leaders. If you think that this procedure is a bit too annoying considering you have to scale the mountain. So for those who don't want to of course there are way to cheat it by using vehicle, or a service run by several highly trained Goatmons that ready to scale the mountain for you with their own special route... Obviously some fees need to be paid for that.
The Digimons that took this place as their main place of residence usually the humanoid one, or the fast moving ones, or machines. Wild Digimons are very unlikely compared to the other 'wilder' area of Digital World, hence attacks from one who want to kill you for noms are unlikely. It's more likely however that you're challenged to duel. For Glory NPC thrives in this sort of place in form of outlaws. Of course there are lot of for fun NPCs too that only want to test their mettle against you in a friendly spar.
When you saw some Digimons with certain attributes to them such as bead necklace with amethyst rod, those are the disciple of the temple on the top of mountain. The more amethyst rod you have, the higher is your rank. None and just pure bead necklace means that you're just a mere apprentice, one denotes a disciple, two denotes a senior disciple, three denotes an experienced warrior, four denotes strong warrior, and finally by adding a magatama means you're a revered figure in the training and may take a disciple of your own. No one have really seen the head of the temple, but it's rumored that he is one of very few Digimon who have reached Super Ultimate by his own strength.
AREAS
Levin Peaks is divided into three major areas: The base, the floating range in the middle and finally the highest peak. Unlike on the middle, the base have it easier. Here, you're exposed to the rough terrain, and strong wind from the storm of the middle layer. The rain might buffeting you if it's particularly rainy that day, and there are some small caves for shelter if needed. Usually, there are plants that growing there that can be easily used as firewood in case you want to dry yourself or stay warm for the night. Attacks are unlikely, but it's still suggested to be cautious. Climbing when it's raining is also considered foolish, but of course no one would really stop you, considering that many also think of it as a training.
The second part is where the true training began. The lightning rods are scattered about, and while they lessened the lightning strikes, there are chances that you'll get blasted if the lightning missed its target. However, thanks to the secondary mechanism of the tower, the lightning bolts are mostly reduced to shock that would lead to no permanent damage. However, it's still very dangerous. As you goes on and on, you'll see floating landmasses. Yes, floating landmasses. These landmasses are kept floating by magnetic field from the constant storm. Some might train by using metallic equipment to make it harder for their body to move. Some often use these floating landmasses as impromptu area.
Prior to entering the last stretch to enter the peak, the lightning storm intensified until it seems at that point you're blocked by barrier of lightning as there are no lightning rod to help you pass. There are of course an 'easy' entrance, but it takes longer to go through it, which is a long path of cave tunnels. Inside would be magnet based puzzles. Regardless which path you took, you will end in the top area.
In the top area, you'll see a temple made for training. A place where you can train as much as you like. People here are honorable and discourage all form of killing and absorbing. When a for glory NPC is triggered on the top area, the NPC will not be killed and instead you would gain data through other means.
PROBLEMS
Like any areas, there are problems here that could relate to the foods. The ground is full of heavy minerals that unsuitable for crops growth. Not only that, the soil is very hard. As much as they want to procure food, most of their food source came from random vending machines around there that automatically replenished. But even so it's not enough considering they have to get money somewhere.
Thanks to this, there are two factions among the temple people: The ones who support ideal that path of ascetic and personal growth must be gained by self perseverance through getting your own food by yourself, and the one who supports that the weak must be helped at all cost for the mountain itself to prosper. Musclehead conservationist and youthful revolutionist, in short. The conservationist argued that if the harshness of life isn't taught then what's the need in training? Meanwhile, the revolutionists argued that slowly they're killing themselves with their elitist view. In the end, the two bickered to no end, and their relationship is quite tense.
