There were few places as lovely as candy-land. Where was candy-land? Yume had no idea either, but she loved being there. Surrounded by large sweets of all kinds, and the floor was entirely made of marshmallows that somehow never go dirty. They were basically always soft, always edible and sweet pillows and she wouldn't even have to worry about accidentally swallowing a hair thread. She danced and skipped through the place, happilly gigling and hugging random bits of food, until she felt the ground shake a bit. Large thunder could be heard in the distance, boom, boom, boom, and then suddenly the candy mountains began oozing hot chocolate, enough of hit to swallow a small island whole, as Yume as helpless to watch as the waves appro-...................................................................................................................................................................................... Yume gently opened an eye, not moving an inch from her current location. Her vision was still a bit too blurry to really see even what little silhouettes the darkness of the night would allow. She might not have even been able to tell that one was considerably larger than the other, whereas the shorter one was rather more round, were it not for those few threads of moonlight seeping through the curtains. "-again?""Yes, but try not to speak so loudly of it. What if she had woken up already? Are you ready, Rich?""Always boss. If this is your wish, it is my command. Well, as long as you keep them coming, that is.""Yes, I know. Well, then, 1, 2, 3, digiport open!" Suddenly the two figures, partially cloaked and masked were revealed by a large flash of light that cause Yume's eyes to have to blink at that moment, form the sheer immediate radiant light that had suddenly lit her bedroom. She didn't even witness the whole that opened to those waterfalls in another world, not until she felt her bed suddenly tilting. "What ag you..." She started to ask, clearly taking the taller figure aback, but not in time for any of it to be stopped. In a moment, she was grabbing her blanket, and whatever she could in a desperate attempt to hold on to something as she dropped from her comfortable bed in her cozy bedroom to wherever that place was. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"Well, she had lived a good life. Not a great life by any means. She did have regrets. It was only as the panic sinked in that she realized how badly she had treated some people, ignoring them. How she hated having been such a burden on everyone that knew her. How she couldn't make it to the one passion she really loved in her past. How she wanted to, one last time, hear her mother say- Her thoughts were interrupted by an unexpected blue furry "cloud" that suddenly caught her. She expected to fall and turn into mincemeat, but instead she felt like she had just received a somewhat rushed hug from a mascot at a theme park. She could still feel the wind blowing her hair aside, and many of her things (fortunately mostly just the ones that at worst would get dirty from the fall) were still with her, as she held tighly to them. There was a much more gentle sensation of falling, before this deep, almost awkwardly manly voice spoke. "Are you unharmed miss human?" Yume looked up to see the face of her savior. She was innitially confused by the amount of hair they had, maybe it WAS a mascot from a theme park after all somehow (even though she had no idea how she got there, then again, she did sleepwalk at times), but as her gaze met the wolf-like creature's, she couldn't help chuckle at herself for a second to to have imagined something as silly as what it was, having finally come to the realization that, yes, she was probably still dreaming. It was almosst baffling how it had taken her this long to reach such a simple conclusion. "Yes, mig.Dgeam-wolf, I am. Thank you for ge-rescuing me."The creature raised an eyebrow, but ignored Yume's blunder. "Please, miss human, do call me Logamo-""Shadow Sickle!" Out of nowhere, two radiant blades came flying down towards Yume and her rescuer, who quickly noticed and promptly moved out of the way, carrying Yume like a princess. She shrugged, thinking she might as well indulge in the dream and simply hugged the creature comfortably even as they were chased by that large golden insect through a forest she had just been teleported to on her night gown.

"You're so cool!"
"Can I get an autograph?"
"If I ever reincarnate, I want to become like you!"
The cheers of those they rescued, and of those who witnessed the rescuing, was enough for Logamon to smirk inside and warmly smile outside as they waved their paw to the people. Truth be told, this was just a wonderful sensation. Their two halves, once loving praise, the other lacking appreciation were both enamored with this wonderful sensation of heroism, this adoration they got for being genuinely cool in the eyes of so many now.
Of course, the trick only worked sometimes. Nomatter how cool they tried to be, Logamon was still a simple rookie. Anyone stronger than them could look down on him still, or worse, they might take their "cool factor" as a challenge, resulting in Logamon failing even harder at impressing. Thus they specifically chose to travel through weaker villages, trying to impress the locals with their feats, while the remainder of them weren't even aware that had been in an even slightly more complicated situation, Logamon's show-off nature would have probably gotten a few digimon sent back to the village of beginnings, and not the ones from their enemy's side. But even if it wasn't for the best...
...should they just give up on their dreams just because they couldn't fulfill them in an ideal way?
...........................................................................................................................................................................................
That day, Logamon was travelling when they witnessed a peculiar sight. Above the woods they were crossing, there suddenly opened a whole in the sky. It wasn't that tall a hole, nor that wide. Logamon themselves could probably fall twice of thrice that height and still be relatively fine. But the oddities of the hole just kept piling onto each other. It seemed dark, barely emanating any light, and what little it did came from the edges, instead it seemed to almost suck in the light around it. Then, out of nowhere, a bunch of objects and a human popped out of the hole in the sky and began dropping down like they were tossed off a pirate ship. Logamon didn't have to think twice before kicking the ground behind him and leaping to catch the human, by the voice a girl. Logamon waited for landing before speaking, hoping nothing was wrong with her, and that perhaps she could explain what just happened.
"Are you unharmed miss human?" They inquired, their voice seemingly even deeper than usual.
"Yes, mig.Dgeam-wolf, I am. Thank you for ge-rescuing me." She replied. Logamon raised an eyebrow, wondering if she bit her tongue as she fell. Hopefully no harm was done to her head, as Logamon was truly curious about the current circumstances. However, they weren't given much of an opportunity to talk.
"Please miss human, call me Logamo-" They couldn't even finish their request, before suddenly they were attacked. A large gold digimon with a blade in each arm. Judging with a glance, that had to be champion level. Far beyond what Logamon could handle. That left only one choice, to run for it!
And thus, Logamon took off. yet still they wondered why the human was climbing to them so...calmly... It was almost disturbing.

"Golden Rush!" The insect screamed behind them. Logamon "stepped on the pedal", rushing forward as much as they could without neglecting that they were carrying a potentially fragile girl who wasn't even trying to be careful or cover herself to avoid getting hurt, no she simply kept clinging to their fur smiling like this was some walk in the park. Logamon embraced the girl, ready for impact, a quickly finding themselves curled into a ball with the human at the center, rolling up the grassy path between the trees after getting bashed in the back by the bladed flying digimon that just dropped on him. Objects the girl had been trying to hold up until that point where getting spread all of the place, some broken, others somehow managing to resist the force with which they fell off. To some extent it was a relief, but on the other...
"Aaarg!" Logamon complained in their unnatural deep voice. That certainly was painful. There was no doubt they were confronting a champion, but what did it have against that girl? Logamon would need to go all out to even stand a chance at escaping. They shook themselves, and before the confused-looked gazes of the girl, took off running again, doing their best to move her to be carried in one hand, which she didn't seem to like too much, but it was necessary to do what had to be done: "Anti-trap!"
Logamon palmed two trees as he rushed past them. It was a huge gamble, given they were being tracked by a flying foe, but there was no time to think about that. Logamon set up one trap to be more effective against virus types and the other to be more effective against data types, both triggering upon an enemy passing in front of them. The hole wouldn't work against the champion digimon, the icicles might be another story. As if per miracle, the enemy decided to repeat their attack, seemingly not having heard what Logamon said nor see what they did.
"Golden Rush!" The insect came crashing towards the wolf-like digimon and the human girl. Immediately, the holes opened in the marked trees, and the icicles formed, barraging at the digimon, which was hit by the first few then began scoffing them off with it's blades as best as it could. While the damage was minimal, it had allowed Logamon and the girl several seconds to advance without proper persuit. To the rookie this was enough, they couldn't really expect much more out of one of their moves against a being so far above. Still, it WOULD have been nice if the golden digimon could just have stopped chasing them, but the world was too cruel for dreams like that to become true.
Thus, as soon as they spotted a favorable location within a nearby cave, Logamon ran into it, already panting as they approached it. Logamon had no idea how much they just ran, how long they were from where the hole in the sky even opened. But they fell to their knees. For some reason they didn't feel so good... maybe that was because they had had breakfast early this morning. A fatal mistake, they possibly realized.
"I beg your pardon miss... but I... I need to rest for a bit..." Logamon stated, as he began glowing and light floated out like dust in the wind, leaving an odd collection of a set of three semi-mechanical balls and one fluffy dog-sheep on the ground in their place.

Two in-training digimon found themselves awakening on a soft surface they didn't recall having fallen asleep on. They yawned, still groggy, but it was only as they stared at the orange sleeping gown beneath them that the memories of what happened began returning to them. Outside, the buzzing of the insectoid digimon's wings was still rining, announcing it's ever-present threat. It would not be easy to evade if it was so willing to persist there for them, even through the time they slept.
It was in fact, odd. Sure, for Xiaomon falling asleep was like flipping a switch, but even if he was tired, Puzzlemon didn't tend to sleep with such calm and ease, especially not in a tense situation such as this one. And for the girl, who seemed so fragile, so be sleeping on the floor beneath them, what sort of person had they really found? Puzzlemon floated in front of her, lightly tapping her face with concern. The human girl sneezed, opened her eyes...
"I said just five more minutes dad-" She stopped. She blinked. Her own memories began to return, but she couldn't quite process what was happening. If she just woke up and fell asleep again, was this not a dream after all? What was that floating thing with eyeballs then? What was that soft furry feeling on her back? Where did the wolf-thing go? It couldn't have just vanished! "Where is that Loga-something?"
This was all Yume was able to muster asking. The sudden wave of calm but confused was leaving her extra tired. Not that she normally couldn't sleep in raw rock. The little floaty thing with eyeballs shook it's...whatever it had for a head.
"I am Puzzlemon. The one sleeping on you is Xiaomon. When we merge, we become Logamon. Please, I beg you not to share that with anybody! We are also quite curious as to what happened to you, why are you here?" Yume's eyes widened as the thing spoke. It wasn't the oddest thing she had seen today, after getting thrown out of her bed into a portal to some amazon place or whatever, rescued by a talking blue wolf person and chased by a giant golden bug, who was still outside just waiting on them. Yume sighed.
"My name is Yume, Yume Negai. It's nice to meet you, Puzzlemon? I wish I could answer your questions, but to be honest they are my questions too. But, you don't have to worry. I don't remember things that well, and I don't understand this at all, so I definitely won't remember it. Don't think I could even talk about a blue wolf thing without people thinking I dreamed it...if they cared enough to listen, even."
The eyeball thing, Puzzlemon, looked down to the ground.
"I can't say I don't understand that. People aren't usually found of listening to me either."
Yume raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"What? Of course they would! Who wouldn't even pay to see a talking...whatever you are."
"You don't know what a digimon is Yume?!" It was Puzzlemon's turn to be shocked. Yume blushed a little.
"You say that like it makes me dumb, not knowing what these "dillimons" are."
"No no! I didn't mean it that way, it's just, it's my first time seeing anyone who doesn't know about digimon. I mean I heard rumors in the village of beginnings, but, I never thought I'd ever see a human that actually knows nothing about digimon!"
"You just called me dumb."
"No, you made it so far on your own, without power, you're so awesome! I could only dream of ever being that cool... But I will never be. I'm just a scary lame-o." Puzzlemon looked down, seeming to float a little lower now. And now that was making YUME feel down. She puffed her cheeks, as she wasn't about to have him be a downer after rescuing her like that.
"Well, I think you and Meowmon were-"
"Xiaomon."
"That. You were really amazing back there, inside the blue wolf costume."
"There is a lot wrong with that, but you're only saying it because we were the cool Logamon there, now... woah!" Before Puzzlemon could finish, Yume grabbed him with both hands, not yet standing up because she still had the other one sçeeping on her back.
"Let me put it another it this way then: Puzzlemon, you are really cool."
If Puzzlemon had a jaw, in that moment, it would have dropped. EVen Xiamon made a semblance of motion, a simple yawn and rolling, managing to fall to Yume's side. Before Puzzlemon could respond however, the cave they were hiding in suddenly began to shake, little bits of dust were flowing down the newly-formed cracks.
"We need to get out of here, come Yume!" Yume got up as fast as she could, trying to move to catch Xiamon too, but it was too late, the rocks were starting to fall and crumble. She could have sworn she heard a gasp outside, the buzzing got louder, but from within the cave, there was a shining light and Yume felt herself getting pushed out of it.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Yume complained as she rolled foward. After some coughing and a gasp, she turned back and saw no Puzzlemon and no Xiamon. Just a pile of empty rocks. And above her, a large golden bug.

"No!" Yume protested, running to the rock pile to try to remove the rocks. She didn't even care about the golden bug hovering menacingly above her, all she could think of was that she needed to save those two, the two dreams and ambitions just got crushed under a pile of rocks, along with (if Yume couldn't help it) their lives. So she just grabbed rock after rock, chugging them behind her and if she couldn't lift one, she would move on to the next, and the next and the next, some landing among the trees, others too heavy for her to throw more than a few inches behind herself, and some falling into the waterfall that was next to the cave. Then at last, a couple of the rocks began shaking. Shaking just a little. She was doing something, could they actually still be alive?! Yume rushed to attempt to remove the rocks even faster, now considerably less concerned with weight, hands getting red as she rushed for action, even picking up a rock way beyond her ability, which caused her to stumble backwards, drop the rock, but too late, she was already starting to drop into the waterfall. In front of her, with the reduced weight, a cardboard-box creature burst out of the rocks and threw a large sheep-pillow in her direction. "Yume! Use her!" The cardboard spoke in a familiar voice. Was that Puzzlemon? Yume grabbed the pillow, just in time to notice the large golden bug approaching her. She felt like screaming, but before she could, the cardboard... digimon did he say?... leaped in front of the golden bug. "Take this!" He announced as he punched the bug in face, which didn't seem to phase either of them much other than momentarily delaying the creature, which seemingly drove it into a fit of rage. The golden bug grabbed cardboard box digimon with it's two sickles, even as Yume plummted down holding on to the other digimon. "I am Pillomon." She announced. Yume would consider it a she by the voice, but there was littl time to think about her name change as she saw the water rapidly approaching. Pillomon, to Yume's surprised, got right beneath her as they hit the water and rocks. Moments later, Yume was holding on to the sheep pillow like she was a drifitng log from an abandoned ship. They stopped in a small "island" in the middle of the "pool" of water at the bottom of th waterfall. Yume dragged herself up and was shocked to see the former puzzlemon struggle against the golden bug. She clenched her fist and got up. There was rage in her eyes now, but more than, there was pity. Tears. "Let him go! Please LET HIM GO! What did he ever do to you? Why would he deserve that you treat him like this? Huh? Answer me you stupid bug! Answer and let him go! I don't care what happens to me, but don't kill their dreams! Even if they struggle, even if we aren't perfect, we all deserve to work through our nightmares, to reach our dreams, why are you taking his nightmares and his dreams away you...you...MEANIEEEEEEEEE!!!!"Something in Yume's pocket began to glow, as did the two digimon she had just befriended. From the waterfalls, the two weirdest-looking eggs or totems Yume had ever seen popped out one blue with a black aura, the other brown with a white aura. The white aura floated to Pillomon, enveloping her. The black aura did the same thing with the former Puzzlemon instead. "Bacomon armor digivolve toooooo.... " Yume watched as the darkness seemed to expand the golden bug's grasp as it could no longer contain the growing body of it's captive, which seemed to be released from the cardboard boxes revealing a much more fierce and twisted body, as if an embodiment of terror. "Death-D-Dorugamon!"Behind her too, was a similar sound. "Pillomon armor digivolve toooooo.... Tapirmon!" As Yume turned around, there was no longer a sheep-pillow, but what appeared like a Tapir spirit from folklore. "What's happening here?!" Yume gased in utter shock. "Your dreams... and the nightmares that come with those ambitions... they give us strength, Yume! Leave this to us!""But... I don't..." Yume fell to her knees, helpless to much more than watch. "I HAVE A DREAM!" Tapirmon tapped her paws together, radiant light wrapping around her, forming the image of a tiny demon with a pillow and a nightcap in a silhouette of light. She leaped all the way up to the top of the waterfall. "Hallucination Punch!" Copies of Tapirmon and her light appeared all over the golden bug, becoming truly ofuscating. They all punched it at the same time, causing it to drop the draconic-mecha-zombie that Puzzlemon had become go. "Eletrocute!" Death-X-Dorugamon said, eletricity flashing from his tail as he bashed it into the golden bug, which unsurprisingly seemed to be a good conductor. But more surprisingly, there was another scream, and a person dropped from the back of the bug, who promptly turned around and caught them. "Boss! Are you alright?"Boss? Wait, so these were the people who had opened the portal! How did that bug thing even fit into Yume's room though? "I am, Goldsnimon." The cloaked figure turned to face Yume for a moment before speaking further. "Congratulations on becoming a tamer, Yume Negai. You shall be seeing more of me in the future, I imagine. But for now, as a welcome gift to this world, I shall spare you. Let us go, my digimon partner."The bug, seeingly named Goldsnimon, nodded, and quickly fled at a speed he hadn't even shown before. Were they just toying with Yume and her...did he call them digimon partners? The two digimon were coming back, one carrying the other, and that light enveloped them again, suddenly turning into two small blobs each falling down at its own pace. Yume rushed to grab them both. "Yay! I'm so glad you're both ok." Yume said, giggling, with still small tears of joy. She couldn't help but hold them tight against herself. Especially not the former Tapirmon. Former Pillomon. Former Xiaomon. Ah, this was getting so confusing! "Hey, uhm...whoever you are now, can I like, just give you a name myself? Just something for me to call you."The former pillow nodded. "Alright! Then hum...how about Cloudy! Cause you're all about sleeping like me and you're so fluffy."The newly named digimon nodded again. "Can I..."Yume turned and face the other digimon. He was turned away, blushing. "Can I also have a name? Please. I think...I think cool guys should have names too. And it's not fair if only she gets one.""Sure! Uhm... cardboard? Death? No, silly and scary...hum... Eyes? hum... Oh, hum Toy?""Toy! Yes, I like that! It sounds to nice and friendly!" "Toy it is then." Yume smiled to the digimon. Her legs were already flattering again, and she was struggling to contain a yawn. "Yay! Yay! I'm Toy now, yay!" Toy could hardly feel more joy. He was now...part of something. With his new friend and with his twin. What could possibly go... "Yume!"The two digimon softned the blow, but now that the adrenaline was gone, the girl simply passed out where she was, falling asleep at once. For the first time as Yume, the tamer of the twins Cloudy and Toy.
