MORNING | CLOUDY | AETERNA BAR - TERMINUS
Aeterna, bar at night slash cafe at the morning, owned by Hikaru the Dorumon. It's, after nearly two years DIgital World time, is open for business once again. Bizarre concoction of the fox dragon has become quite the hit, probably due to how outlandish they can be. Who would argue with drink topped with dessert? But even so, the mood of the cafe that day is a bit solemn. The Dorumon has temporarily stopped working and left his station to the employee. He, a young boy named Tetsu and his partner Gryz, is currently sitting near a boy who's fiddling with his D-Terminal.
"...How is it?" the Dorumon asked worriedly.
"No idea... there's... no answer at all," he answered.
"None here too," Tetsu confirmed. "...I guess we really should move quickly. I hope it's not raining in the Bayou. It's kinda really dark here..."
"Tetsu... What should I do?" the boy asked.
"...Mmmm... I'll give the search team a bit more. Arata, could you wait a bit longer?"
"...It's a pity that Yuuki's not here. He's busy on an exam."
"But Hikaru, even if he's here, he only could evolve you up to adult, right? Wouldn't the Bayou still dangerous for him?" Gryz reasoned.
"...That's true too. Anyway, I'll try to ask around. Maybe some regular could help... or I can ask Nik and Brad, hoping that they'll pick up. Either way, don't lose hope you two..."
Hikaru doesn't like the sound of this. A girl and her partner gone. There's only one event in his mind that is related to this, but if THAT is involved, then he's not sure he'll like it well enough. He would rather lose tons of stranger than a friend, but... On the other hand, for these two, the girl is not just a normal girl. She's a classmate, a close friend. Their participation should be crucial. Tetsu meanwhile... As much as he want to tell the boy to stay put, he can't. There's no one as strong as him currently in KIZNA rank, other than probably Oboro, but where is the other boy? He have no idea.
"...Tetsu," Hikaru called out.
"Aye aye?"
"Bring friend from 7/71st if you can. Owen... Owen hopefully can help. Don't go solo, that's an order."
"...Roger. I'll try my best."
"Good, now let me contact him just in case if he's up for this mission. For now, though... We'll wait."
Hikaru anxiously looked at the door, all while hoping his fiance would pick up the call and at least assign someone to go to the north with Tetsu. Going solo... is dangerous after all.

Aeterna. Sho hadn't even planned on coming here when he took the train through Terminus. And yet he stepped through the door with a plan, having his digivice in his pocket and his glasses polished. He sat down at the with his mind made up, propping open a book and rummaging through his hair with his other hand. There was something on his mind weighing his elbows into the bar while he read, but make no mistake, he was aware. Listening and ever so slightly glancing around himself while wearing this entranced gaze. Like he was just in awe of something. Completely over the moom.
To be perfectly honest, he was looking for something. Trying to figure out why his gut led him here...Sure he wanted to learn more about the Digital World that this place was located in, but he wasn't even sure how similar it was to his own world. If someone had written a book about listening in to conversations in a bar, would they be able to write that kind of experience here?
No. He had to stop deliberating it and just ask if he was going to be this clueless. He wanted food from this place anyway, and would probably need it if he was going to go exploring again...
"Hello there. Do you have anything warm to drink here?" His tone wasn't aware of the grave atmosphere it sat in, indeed, he sat as a patron far removed from what was going on in the place. The silence of those who sat within didn't tip him off, and it didn't seem like anything near that would. His eyes were wide and attentive to any movement that met it.
Maybe it seemed like he was out of it or hallucinating, but Sho always looked like this while he was searching. Hoping that maybe he'd blend in just enough...

A lost human child? Possibly in the Backup Bayou? This would not do at all! Agumaru rips down the flyer and examines it. He was already in Terminus, so he might as well see if they are still looking for help finding her. He then realizes that maybe he wasn't supposed to take the flyer. "Eh...eheh. I'll just... put this back..." he sheepishly says, patting it against the wall. "Good as new..."
He then takes off for the Aeterna bar. It wasn't too far, just a left turn here, a right turn here, another turn... and he was back where he started, which was right next to it to begin with. Darn his sense of direction sometimes! He opens up the door and looks around. "I heard someone is looking for someone to look for someone. I'm someone who can look for someone! I'm also a bit thirsty, do you have any soda or orange juice?"

That was it! All it took was for that Digimon to burst in for him to perk up at anything that came out of its mouth. Just going off of mindliss habit, Sho raised a finger, looking over to the form of blocky confidence that had just made itself known to him.
After shifting his eagle eyed attention back to the Dorumon at the counter, he begins to speak, albeit with a small stutter in spite of his refreshed memory.
"I a-almost forgot! I'm on the same job as he is, or well, I was looking to be a part of it. May I have the same thing they're having, seeing as we're both looking for someone." He nodded along with the meek demeanor he out on, something he was sure would let him get even a little bit closer to the Digimon he was working with...It wasn't like technique ever failed him, Human or Digital World. This would be a cinch!
"I was just looking for somewhere to help when I read the flyer, so I was wondering if you'd be able to give me any more information." He kept going while he rummaged through his bags for something to write on with his pens...

Nik and Brad were curious about this message from Tetsu. Apparently they were to meet up at Hikaru's bar in Terminus City to go on... some kind of rescue mission? Well then, that certainly seemed like an exciting prospect. The two were eager to help out in the digital world now that they had established their bond and Brad had been able to digivolve.
They were also going to bring one of their friends along. Owen the Gaomon, who had once been Brad's comrade as a soldier in a previous life, now just a fellow beast digimon friend that he enjoyed hanging around with. While Brad was small for a Bearmon, Owen was rather big for a Gaomon, and they enjoyed the company of this eccentric canine digimon.
And so, the three of them made their way to Terminus City one way or another, meeting up at the Trailmon terminal. From there, after a friendly greeting, they made their way straight to the pub.
Once they entered, Owen spotted Hikaru and at once ran up to him, giving the Dorumon a great big cuddle, licking his muzzle affectionately, his tail wagging.
"Oh, ah, did I mention that these two are a couple?" Brad asked Nik, a little awkward from the suddenness of Owen's greeting of the Dorumon.
"Might have at one point" Nik chuckled. "Aw, they're kinda cute" he remarked.
"Ah, right, sorry about that" Owen said, realizing that others were there in the pub watching. "Well, we're here as planned" the Gaomon grinned. "Hi guys" he waved at Tetsu and Gryz. He didn't recognize the others there though. Hopefully they would be introduced soon. He turned back to Hikaru. "Well, babe, I've found a couple that can help out with whatever it is that needs done!" he said proudly.
"So then, we hear there's something we need to help out with, right?" Nik asked. "Hope we can do good". He was interested in being seen as a helpful member of KIZNA after all.

"Welcome," what was Hikaru had to say. He's still not focused on the newly coming customer. Deep inside, he tried to apologize to the newcomer. He cannot really focus on his job at the moment, mainly because the thing with the two boys was really serious. It's clear from the looks of it that they're getting increasingly frustrated with the no answer. He hoped that the jobtaker will be here soon.
Hikaru absentmindedly reached for a teapot with boiling water, adding some ginger extract, honey, lemon, and some tea, then let it boil for a bit more before pouring it on a cup for the latest customer. --Before he noticed that this probably what he want to order.
"Oh... whoops, I guess I was a bit absentminded. If you want, you can take that as on the house---"
Before he could really finish his sentence, another guy burst in. This one is a Toy Agumon. He said something about the j--The job! That's it! He's one of the taker of the mission! "Tetsu! We got our first guy here!"
The boy perked up and smiled. "Really!? Welco---oh?"
The first guy immediately revealed that he's too in for the job. Hikaru however wondered if he's serious if he want some orange juice or soda, considering how it's cloudy and he was asking for warm drink before. Oh well, whatever. He slid two drinks, both soda for the Toy Agumon and the youth. Such a strange person...
"...Well, I'll brief you about the job when all th---"
Then the door swings open again, this time with his fiance on the tow!
"Oh Owen we--hey, haha, caaaalm!" Hikaru was happy with the appearance of the Gaomon, but the matter is pressing. "Yo Nik, Brad. Good timing. Looks like everyone's here. Let's move somewhere better, eh?"
Hikaru guided the rest to the meeting room which happened to be just like a dining room with long table. "Alright, I'll leave it to you, Tetsu. I gotta attend to the customers for now, but if you need anything just ring the bell, you know the procedure."
Soon, the door is closed, not locked though. Tetsu is the one who lead the the meeting. Beside him is a boy with hazel colored hair. Both looked the same in age, just one seem to be in verge of tears. The Black Agumon beside him tried to calm him down.
"Alright, hello everyone, thanks for coming. Name's Shishidou Tetsushi, Tetsu for short. Here's my friend Arata and his partner Zero. To cut the chase, I'm sure you already know, but we're looking for a girl named Sachi and her partner Floramon Hana. We're very time pressed. She has been missing for a full day real world time, which mean it's seven days Digital World time. We would like to keep up hope because Hana is at least a Perfect stage. Maybe they're just trapped somewhere... and according to infos we gathered, we narrowed the search to two. I'm going to the north with Owen, four of you gentlemen will go to the Backup Bayou. Up to this point, do you have any question before I continue?"

A murder mystery without the murder...that's all Sho's book-clogged ears were hearing once he heard the concise briefing. Despite the tense tapping of his fingers against his book as he held it against his pocket, his face held no such tension, valuing some needed clarity. After a healthy sip of his drink, he decided to seek that clarity with words coated in a squirrelly and active voice.
"I've got one. In the days before she disappeared, did she have any business or plans she told you about? You did know this girl and her partner well, right?" He inquired directly, remembering the tried and true process of establishing some chain of events, or even a motive that may lead them to the culprit.
But what kept his fingers tapping wasn't if he was asking the wrong question, which he was sure would be brought up...No, it was that inkling of terror that infested his mind when he imagined what could catch someone with a Perfect stage Digimon off guard. He cocked his head just as some neutral body language. Remember, she's still human, and Digimon aren't perfect programs... Sho was sure his thoughts rang true, but he decided something more productive would be needed to get his mind off of things
"By the by, my name is Sho Tsuginaga. And while I lack the book smarts on this stuff to know the official term-" Sho indulged his fidgeting a bit and showed off his bulkier Digivice to the group for some greater help with explaining things. "I do have this kind of Digivice, so if you need to make use of my abilities, I'm here." As swiftly as he retrieved it before, Sho retired his Digivice to his pocket and his book to his satchel.
"Just thought I should introduce myself." He then quietened down, in case he needed to hear anything else.

Perhaps Agumaru's entrance could have used a little more tact and a little less volume. Luckily for him, nobody seems upset about it. In fact, he seems to have reminded one person that he also wanted in on the job, and excited two others who are giving the job! He accepts his drink, guzzling it down and giving twice the bits required for the price. "Here you go. In trying times, it is nice to be nice."
More people burst in - and one of them was an excited Gaomon who immediately showered his fiance with love. "Heh heh, you two are cute," Agumaru chuckles at the display.
It looks like the gang's all here. Agumaru listens to the mission details, frowning. "A whole week with no contact? That's...rough. And you're sure they want to be found, right?" He looks away nervously. "I-I mean... I mean nothing rude by it, sorry, just making sure." Hopefully he didn't just cause a fight or make things awkward...
Sho introduces himself, so now would be a good time for Agumaru to do the same. "Oh, I'm Agumaru. I'm a totally regular normal Agumon. I may not be able to reach full champion - er... well I can but there's something really wrong with it and stuff - but my Armor Champion form is pretty useful!"

Owen of course didn't last too long with his explosion of affection for Hikaru, yeah, he could tell that this was probably a serious matter. So as soon as he broke off a few seconds later, he, Nik and Brad followed everyone into the meeting room where they could hopefully begin talk on what needed to be done here.
When they saw the sad boy and his BlackAgumon, the smiles faded into looks of concern. This seemed like a serious matter alright.
"North... or the Backup Bayou?" Brad repeated with concern. Owen was also rather worried. He had been to the Backup Bayou and had been in near mortal peril several times there, either sunk in a bog (thankfully his diving gear allowed him to survive that without drowning) or attacked by a Sagomon (thankfully he was able to outmatch him).
"Well... if you're sure I should go North, then okay..." Owen began, but spoke loud enough for the room to hear. "When you're dealing with the Bayou though, it'd be best to bring diving gear with you, trust me, that saved my life twice".
Nik meanwhile nodded at that information, he'd hopefully have the chance to buy diving gear at the mall before heading out. He then turned to the next person to speak, Sho. It was then he thought that he should probably introduce himself.
"Okay. I'm Nik and this is my partner Brad" he said. He noted the design of Sho's digivice. "Ah, you're a Spirit Wielder?" he asked, curiously. He had already met one - Toki, and even though he was a new human to the digital world, was familiar with that class of warrior here.
"And I'm Owen, nice to meet you" the Gaomon added. Next Agumaru introduced himself as a "regular Agumon". Owen raised his eyebrow at that, but it was unseen under his bandana, plus Nik and Brad glanced at him as though to tell him not to make a fuss, so he didn't.
"So, we're looking for Sachi and Hana, right?" Nik asked. "Wow, that sounds like a tricky job, but we'll of course try. Would we... uh... be looking for a signal from her digivice?"

Right, everyone have their own question. Tetsu nodded in approval.
"OK, let's get to answering then, yeah. First question, yeah, Sachi is our classmate, but she's closer with Arata here. She's also his neighbor... Do you want to take over?" Tetsu asked his friend, to which he nodded.
"I... um, promised with Sachi the day before that we're going to explore the area. However, Zero is... a newly evolved Black Agumon. He's not strong yet, and that seem to be a bit dangerous. I was... unsure, but Sachi said that we're just going to check. We're looking forward to this because Sachi... well, Sachi seem to be interested on it because a rumor of a ruin inside. Her father is an archaeologist, and she seem want to do some Indiana Jones stuff... um... well, all in all, we think it would be a fun experience...
She did said that she need to do something first beforehand, but she didn't tell me what. She just said she need to do it and it's in Digital World, but... I dunno. I didn't bother to ask. Sachi is the tougher of two of us. She's... also very adventurous. She have been in danger several times, but she always get out of it in the end...So I never thought it would be really dangerous stuff..."
On the Toy Agumon's question, Arata looks surprised, but Tetsu pat his back reassuringly then took over the explanation. "Sachi wants to be found, that's for sure. That girl get bored easily, and she always seem to want to be together with people. She often goes solo to find something interesting, then share it with her friends. Can't see her as a type to not wanting to be found."
...his introduction is a bit suspicious though. Is he in denial? A look at Zero says that he wanted to quip something, but Gryz closed his mouth quickly.
"Signal form her Digivice would actually a positive sign," Hikaru suddenly came after packing some meals for the team. "Try to follow that, yeah. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to know whether it's her or not, considering that Digivice doesn't really differentiate signals. However, If you find her Digivice even without the person, bring it with you. Usually it's a sign of still existing bond. Here, I packed meals for you to be eaten there just in case."
Three meals, with Brad's definitely more sizeable because he's with Nik.
Tetsu looked at the team again before making sure. "Any more question? Please make sure to have no question at all, because after this I'm going to North with Owen."

Sho packed away his digivice, nodding along as his eyes darted between everyone in the room. His ears absorbed each and every one of their words, trying to form a chain of events that anything they find thereafter would lead into...And if mystery novels were to be believed, that signal would surely lead into a nasty trap, or more specifically a booby trap if these types went hunting for some archaeological treasure. He was sure now, they had to get as much evidence as possible before moving into anything they didn't understand!
"I'm ready. And I don't think we should underestimate the urgency of this, guys...Let's keep our eyes peeled for a trail other than her digivice's signal." Sho curtly advised, already beginning to head towards the door but staying at a distance where he could still hear any further questions. As a spirit user...he thinks he was spot on once he thought of a digivice as a representation of a bond. Especially now, he'd have to use just that to help him out. "If anything happens to that signal, sudden movement, complete dissapearance, there's going to be something wrong. So even if we're not close, we need to keep an eye on it anyway."
Sho wasn't even sure what really happened but he couldn't help but bite his lip at the presence of her inexperience. Her adventure most likely had middlemen, and with anything dangerous in the Digital World, it was entirely possible for anyone or anything she followed to not be as they seemed. No. If it happened Sho wouldn't even be surprised. He felt like he just read through the entire case like a prediction, but he wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. He was already sure they'd find some evidence leading to it anyway. For now he briefly looked outside before turning his lensed eyes back to the crew. "Backup Bayou is where we're headed, right? Won't that already slow us down considering the environment? For Sachi it should've done the same, so I think she'll be fine for a good bit until we can find her."

So, Sachi wasn't a runaway kid. She was an explorer, an adventurer, one that planned on getting back to everyone. In that case, it would be easier to find her, but at the same time, that means the risk that something has happened to her has skyrocketed. Otherwise, wouldn't someone have heard something by now?
Agumaru was clearly worried. His fork-like hands were squeezing into balls as his whole body shakes. "I have no more questions, we need to go now! This is... bad. Don't panic, Agumaru, do not panic."
There was a Digivice signal to follow? That was a good sign. However, Sho was right. It was not something to rely on. "Yeah, we gotta find a trail," Agumaru agrees. "I don't even have a Digivice, so I can't track a signal. And the swampy marsh is problematic. Maybe she just got bogged down, but... this might be more of a rescue mission than we'd like it to be."

Nik couldn't help but notice how the younger boy seemed to be taking such a mature way about this. This made the older teen take this mission very seriously, as not only was he wanting to be there to help out a younger person that might not be developmentally equipped to deal with this, but also recognizing the fact that something that makes a child act like an adult is often as serious as things can get.
Owen meanwhile gave an audible groan and a flinch as Arata mentioned that Sachi wanted to go the whole Indiana Jones thing. "Oh geez..." the Gaomon said, shaking his head, but nothing more than that, knowing his thoughts on the subject would just interrupt matters. Namely that his thoughts were that there were places in the digital world so dangerous that an Adult level at the very least would be needed for proper safety in traversing the regions. A human travelling with a locked Child level through those places was often little more than monster bait if they went by themselves.
Nik was really grateful for the packed meals they were given, this could be a long haul thing, and he didn't think he'd find much in a swampy marsh that was edible, well, unless he was deft with a fishing spear, which he wasn't.
"Okay, we'll keep a look out for her signal" Nik affirmed with a nod. He glanced at Owen. "But you don't have a digivice, will you be okay?"
"Heh, I've got something that works just as well as a digivice in detection" Owen said, tapping his nose, a little harder than he meant. "Ow..." he whined with discomfort.
Well, regardless, he'd have Tetsu's digivice nearby to help out so if she was in the North then Nik and Brad were sure they'd find them.
Owen had one more bit of information for the marsh team before they parted though. "Yeah, in the bayou, there's more than bog that slows you down" he said. "There's territorial digimon for one, and... strange ruins for another. Some of them are loaded with traps, so, just make sure you know where you're treading, every step. Might be good to pick up a stick and poke it in front of you when you can".
Nik took this advice seriously, going to make sure he and Brad obtained sticks the earliest they could. Supposing this was the time they'd split up, Brad turned to Owen, giving a smile.
"Best of luck, Owen" he said. "Even though I'm not in the 7/71st anymore, hope both of us do well and meet up after a successful mission".
"You say that, Brad, but, even though you're sworn to a human now, you're never really gonna leave our unit" Owen winked back, and the two beast digimon shook paws, before a parting salute. Well then. That was that done, time to find Sachi and Hana.

Looks like everyone's ready to go. Tetsu nodded. Hikaru gently gave Owen a wolf kiss and a brief lick on the cheek.
"I'm counting on you. Protect Tetsu and Gryz for me, alright? Now, Tetsu, Gryz, Brad, Nik, order. Number one... Don't die. Number two, if you're in serious danger, run. Number three, don't work solo. Number four, prioritize teamwork. KIZNA's oath, is that clear?"
"Roger, Sir," Tetsu saluted. "Well, I'm going. The Team Commlink should be up for communication, right?"
"That's right, I'll act as your operator in this mission. Arata, Zero, you're coming with me, right? Anyway, I'll close the store for the meantime just in case. Be careful, you guys. Nik's the one with the communication device, he'll tell me if thing gone wrong."
With that, the team departed. Until the Trailmon Station, they're together, until they need to go to different place. Tetsu took the train to the north with Owen. "Brad, Nik, I'll be counting on you guys! No matter how annoying, no matter how minor, please keep us updated, kay?" Tetsu requested.
"Beware of dangers, you guys. Godspeed," Gryz added. The duo, along with Owen would depart first. Soon, the train to the Bayou appeared. It's the Angler Trailmon. The trip to go there wasn't that bad, but because it's going to rain, apparently only four of the team riding the Trailmon. Upon arriving there, they would be greeted by sight of the Bayou. Bridges made out of wooden plank, the bog and the muddy water... Whatever the case was, they're here. The signal of the Digivice shows that there are several humans here, every one of them seem to be moving, albeit slowly, like exploring. As Hikaru said, pinpointing Sachi's signal is almost impossible. Their Digivice isn't made to capture specific signature. However, if there is an SOS, those with Digi-FM probably would have gotten it already.... Thing is, there is no SOS signal at all.
"Testing, Testing, come in Brad, Nik," Hikaru's voice came out from Nik's Digivice. "Oh, looks like it's working. You guys arrived already? Good. I have... a bad news for you guys. We have no idea whether Sachi got Digi-FM or not, but assume that she doesn't... this mean she can't send SOS Signal. Neither Arata or Tetsu know whether she got one... But regardless, I got several suggestions.
The locale might know any visitor that came here. I think there's tribe of insect Digimons around here, the locals, I mean. They're a bit uncooperative, though. I also will send to Nik's D-Terminal the last mail Sachi sent to Arata. Maybe it'll help you with some of the keyword."
Soon enough, Nik's D-Terminal would beep.
From: Oota Sachi <SacchanxHanacchi> To: Furuhashi Arata <AratatoZero> Subject: Found it! <This mail approximately sent about two days ago prior to disappearance of Sachi, about seven at the evening.>
Hiyo, Arata! Guess what, guess what? I found it! Another place that's easy enough for four of us to traverse! It's in Backup Bayou! I heard the entrance is a bit submerged somewhere, but I have seen a glimpse of it from the air! Too bad it's hard to get a proper landing there, though... The ruin actually easy to miss from the air, It's very thoroughly camouflaged. Too bad for them, there's this special flower that grows near it. It only blooms at certain time period, but I was in luck! It bloomed just then!
When I found it and about to land on it, I nearly got sucked to a bog! Apparently the flowers made the stone fragile... They're called "Stone Eater" Flower. Bright yellow in color... I don't know what could make them bloom to be honest, The local might know.
Anyway, back to the bog. Luckily with Hana's quick thinking, I managed to get out of there! But even so, when I was there, I felt like... something strange, like my leg somehow dangling on the air? I know it's strange, but I'm serious! It might be the entrance, who knows!
So, anyway, I think between this and the other one at Spyware Cavern, this one is easier. You know Zero hate cold and all, but... I think I'll check the one at the north just in case once more! If it's not dangerous, You can pick! I'm writing this so I won't forget. You know how scatterbrained I can be... ahehe... Anyway, see ya!

He easily departed from the slightly frightening visage of the Trailing into the very beginning of the bayou. Sho opted to test that signal radar function on his digivice to see just how it worked while listening in to Nik's own digivice to get any more information he needed before moving on. In the end, this was just another place he hadn't been, so his eyes couldn't even be bothered to focus on one thing at a time. After stowing away his digivice with a shake of his head, he began to move towards Nik's terminal to see what Hikaru had sent them.
"Stone Eater? Probably has deep roots or something else like it...sounds pretty tough too." Sho entertained his musings, already trying to put something together so that these locals would give them the information he needed...He couldn't help but choke at the fact that there were insects of all things. Of course they hung around some smelly bog! He pinched the bridge of his nose with as he let out a frustrated hum.
"Sounds like this plant will be a dead giveaway to where she was, which'll be the quickest way to figure out where she is!" He announced, dropping his fist into his other hand. "The locals would probably know the time...but in the same vein, I don't know how uncooperative they are. Whether we're talking to them or not, it would be paramount for us to figure out some kind of object related to that place." Sho nodded, continuing...
"Anything that circles back to that cavern will probably be close to the things Ms. Sachi ran into, so it'll be important to find that kind of info. Causing a stir about the place may also give us more information to sift through, which we'll probably need this early on." Sho slid a lock of his hair aside with his thumb, snapping afterwards.
"As long as we pay attention, we shouldn't get swept up in too much. So how's that for the beginning of our plot-...er, plan." Sho blinked, trying to keep himself focused instead of wondering if he stole that line from some detective novel he hid behind a textbook in class...
