"Hm? Ah, right, the light." Denryu didn't think to mention that part - but really, who could blame him for not knowing that the D-Reaper infection increased her sensitivity to changes in light? Still, both Cassandra and Dagger took the change in locale well enough, Emma giving a shrug at the Zubamon's comment.
"Think of it as another measure of security, if you want. Now, shall we go on inside?"
They weren't going to get anything done outside, as it was: leading the group, Denryu held out his Xros Loader, sliding it across a scanning mechanism to the right of the door. With 'beep' and a click, he stepped in, holding the way open for the rest of the group. On the ground floor, the manor seemed, well, like a home, albeit one with perhaps a few too many bedrooms for its space. Still, there was a spacious ground floor, a well-equipped kitchen, and enough comfort to perhaps forget that this place was in the Digital World.
Renamon, upon stepping inside, simply stretched out an arm in a long yawn. "Well, if you don't need me, I'll just be around. I take it you two are heading to the basement?"
"Mm. Let me know if anything comes up." The fox made her way up the stairs, as Denryu led on to the right, pulling open a door that led downstairs to the basement - to another locked door, this one reinforced. Emma was quick to tap in a code with the keypad, and with a tap of her D-Tector, the space opened up once more.
The basement? Oh, this looked much better equipped, the ceiling and floors lined with metal and the walls with thick soundproofing. Down here, there were a few desktops, as well as a powerful-looking server - or evidence of one, at least, as several ground wires slipped into a secure closet.
"Bit much to take in at once - but there's a few rooms here we can work with, that we can modify however we need."
Emma was quick to add: "Sterile, quiet, and isolated. Luminas could be raided right now and anyone inside, not watching the news or the alarm, wouldn't hear a peep out of it."

Glancing to the side at Denryu to ensure she had the leave to do so Cassandra would step forward. The Doctor reaching out to run her gloved fingers over the walls as she circled the room. Finding the area thankfully up to her expectations and need as she wrapped her knuckles firmly upon the metal taking solstice in the solid barely there 'thunk' of sound the motion made.
"Yes. I think this will work perfectly. I'll need to be able to get in and out of this room at least while we're working together. Since you have technology here that means the room is already temperature controlled seeing as computers work best in cooler climates." Cas murmured turning to face the group once more the first true smile the General had seen yet curling the edges of the Doctors lips her eyes sparking at the challenge ahead of her.
"The D-reaper puts out a lot of heat. Which means in order to keep that cat complacent we need to keep her on ice till I can slap a modified EV suit disk on her. Which reminds me what methods have you been taking to keep that chip she's stored on isolated and contained?" The Doctor asked with a tilt of her head.

With a simple nod, Denryu granted Cassandra permission - and as the room was found satisfactory, the general returned a nod. "Emma will register your Digivice with our locks - though you won't have clearance for everything, of course." Just as Cassandra was weighing her risks, both Denryu and Emma took care to make sure they weren't simply handing everything over at once.
The remark on temperature - and the subsequent remark of Meicoomon's chip - made the General think for a moment. Would temperature really be that much of a problem? "Well, come take a look." Approaching a locked door, and taking the necessary steps to open it, Denryu showed Cassandra the location of the 'red' chip: plugged into its own console, held in a lead case and isolated from the remaining systems. As it was a server room, the sound of several fans oscillated loudly within.
Emma explained: "That's Hunter, right now. In there, the effects of her data are subdued - and should the program fail in any regard, its not as if its in a position to infect the rest of our systems. Though I guess I could install an alarm if the temperature exceeds a certain range..."

"Of course. I can't particularly blame you. You certainly have a rather nice setup as it stands." She spoke with a soft chuckle and a smile. After all she was plenty protective of her own meager set-up not that many would be particularly interested in it. However, at the mention of the chip Cas was quick to follow eyeing the new room on display with a critical eye.
"I'm not as familiar with Xros chips as I'd like. Are Digimon capable of releasing themselves from them or can they only be released by the General? The isolated system and lead curtain is a good idea, but the temperature gauge would give you an extra level of caution. The average D-reaper agents temperature far exceeds that of a humans. If the chip begins to heat up it could signal a potential escape attempt." The Doctor explained giving the array at least for the moment her nod of approval.

"They can, but as it is, she can't." To Cassandra's very reasonable question, Denryu gave a rather confident answer - but of course, it was up to Emma to explain.
"Mm... to spare you too much in technical terms, the program in that server is putting the Meicoomon in a suspended state. You can think of it like a 'stasis' or a 'frozen computer program', if that helps." Emma was giving the server a heavy gloss-over, but it boiled down simply enough. "Its something we've tried with other chips, and the break-out rate is still sitting at zero. Granted, we don't entirely know the rules of the D-Reaper."
"But even if she does break out, its not a total loss." Once more, Denryu held up his Xros Loader: "I've already added Hunter as one of my 'main' partners - because of that, her base power is restricted to around rookie level. In even the worst case, she'll be relatively easy to eliminate - at least compared to her appearance in the Dark Area."
With that explained, Emma would once more close that door, setting a mental note to at least add a temperature gauge to the server. That aside? "That should be about it as far as our agreement? It should go without saying you don't need to ask why we are seeking Hunter as a problem, nor our day-to-day activities as it is."
Just a logical degree of separation - though even mentioning it made it clear things were happening under the level.

"Fascinating..." Cassandra murmured giving the system a much more impressive glance over before she stepped back allowing Emma to seal the door once more. At their request for separation and silence the Doctor let out a sigh lifting a hand to run it through her hair disheveling it somewhat back into it's normal wild mane like state.
"I will be completely honest with you on this. My main concern is with the D-reaper and anything involving it. Beyond that I really couldn't give two shits what you're up to so long as it doesn't personally screw me or my crew over. As far as I'm concerned you've upheld your end of the bargain well enough thus far for a little transparency on my end." Doctor Cross explained as she fished a notebook and pencil from her infini-store. Turning to a clean page she began to sketch what looked like a mix between a freezer and a shower system.
"Unfortunately for the method of treatment I have in mind the Hunter will need to be in physical form. Now we have two methods of restraining her and sadly unless you have a way to safely release and restrain her to the chip at will there may be no way to test whether we need the carrot or the stick in this instance." Cassandra murmured scribbling away at her sketch as she sighed.
"There is a chance that isolated in a room together I register enough as a D-reaper that she will be non-hostile towards me allowing me to safely tag her with a modified EV suit disk and treat her. However if that fails I've come up with a system to effectively flash freeze her by releasing her in a sealed room and pumping liquid nitrogen gas into said room. Then once she's stiff as a board we tag her with the disk and begin treatment." The Doctor explained turning her sketch around to show the group.
"You ever seen Star War Empire Strikes back? We're effectively if all else fails going to freeze her in carbonite." Cas quipped as Dagger peered on with interest.

"Trust me, I have better things to be doing than stepping on your toes." Denryu gave a shrug to accent that flat tone - at the very least, he seemed agreeable to Dr. Cross' terms.
As for the technical aspect? As could be expected, it was Emma who took a closer look at Cassandra's sketch, while she explained her method for treating Hunter. "That's certainly a possibility, but Hunter could just as easily think of you as a target with more D-Reaper data to utilize. Meicoomon, in particular, might not be as 'controlled' by the virus as you theorize." Still, the set-up itself looked impressive, even if only the Spirit Wielder understood the movie reference!
"I'm familiar with what liquid nitrogen can do, but at that point, that sounds like another expense, doesn't it?" Emma was quick to question, beginning to wonder just how much caution Cassandra was willing to pour into this.
The general looked as if he was about to add something - but with a beep, his hand was soon drawn to his ear. "Hm? Fine, fine." He sighed, simply giving a nod to the doctor. "Emma, handle her and give her the coordinates for the island. Doctor, of course, don't be passing this around to anyone else. If its not someone we recognize that arrives here, well, let's just say we're not going to be asking too many questions."

"The liquid nitrogen was actually already factored into the cost. Since containment is as important as treatment." The Doctor explained dotting down her numbers onto the side of the sheet and checking off that which she could call in favors owed to acquire. "That and since it will be pressurized and mixed with co2 we don't need as large of an amount. The system will work a bit like the co2 cartridges utilized by paintball guns and in special effects to produce a cooled cloud effect heightened by the nitrogen." She explained with a fond smile. Despite the seriousness of the project Cassandra did truly enjoy her work and finding solutions for unusual problems had always been one of the highlights of her job.
"While the coordinates are all fine and good I think it'd be wiser if we simply exchanged contact information at least until I finish upgrading my Digi-port. That a way you can open the portal at a pre-arranged time and location. Once I've set-up my assistant to look after my office and we've acquired all the materials we need I can stay on location temporarily till the project is finished." Cas suggested knowing at least in this case the time distortion between worlds would for once work in her favor.

"Hm... I guess I'll have to trust you on that much. Computer tech's more my thing." Carbon Dioxide, Liquid Nitrogen, instantaneous coolant release? Emma's specialty lied more in the technical aspect of things, and as such, she simply wasn't going to question the doctor's methodology in this regard. "Still, it sounds like we're going to have to segment off part of the basement for this so we don't mess with the tech - I'll see to it that we handle that much."
As for exchanging contact information, Emma was on that as well: "Naturally. We need to confirm an account to wire these funds to as it is - naturally spoofed as something that looks at least half legitimate." The General merely shot a glance over his shoulder, nodding at both Cassandra and Emma as a signal for them to 'take care of it'. At that, with a half-wave, Denryu was already on his way up-and-out, Emma writing their contact information down for Cassandra's reference.
"Be ready for these numbers to change quite a bit - we'll keep you in the loop when it does, but try to stay on top of it so we don't have to do too many corrections. As for Denryu?" She sighed: "Expect a lot of this. D's capable for everything he does, but I often think he runs himself just a bit thin."

"Cite the payment as medical back payments and that should keep people from looking at it too closely. You can wire the funds here." Cas explained passing the information over to Emma. The Doctor only sparing Denryu a glance before she turned back to the task at hand. At her side Dagger let out a soft snort of laughter.
"No. We wouldn't know anyone like that at all." The Zubamon grumbles out casting a gaze at his own Tamer who meets his glance with an arched brow. The fact in addition to working herself half to death the Doctor had cut back on meals was always a worrying and sore topic for the trio.
"I promise once I've got the machine up and running we'll take an actual vacation. A real vacation" Cas murmurs reaching out to run a loving hand lightly over her partners head even as Dagger lets out an exasperated huff. Quietly he thinks it's not his Tamer's job to save the world, but he doubts she knows or understands that. Worries she defines her worth only by how much she can give in a world that does nothing, but take.
"All right, but I'm holding you to it this time." Dagger mutters, but reaches up to take her hand.

"Yeah, trust me, this isn't our first rodeo sending money around like this." Taking the detail as Cassandra provided it, and briefly looking over the account, Emma gave a nod. Slipping the paper into her pocket, she blinked, and returned a rare chuckle at Cassandra and Dagger's banter.
"Gotta say, it would be nice for D if he could have someone like that Zubamon around to chide him. Even as his sister, I can't get him to slow down." That tone sounded a bit nostalgic, if but for a moment, but Emma was soon back to her practiced visage. Right, the group had done what they had asked, and until Cassandra had the equipment - and thus, the funds - it didn't seem like there was much left to do on this side. Besides, Cassandra likely had to figure some of this out herself.
"For now, I guess I should be opening you a portal - we can get you to any major city in the Digital World, or to Shibuya, or Tokyo. Any preference? If not, the default's to Terminus."
Well, Emma wasn't exactly a social butterfly, was she?

"Shibuya should be fine. Dagger could you put on your holosuit for me?" Cas asked with a tilt of her head even as she pulled out her own medical mask and dark glasses to cover up some of her more striking features.
"Yeah hold on one second." The Zubamon muttered fidgeting with the device before it clicked on leaving a tall dark haired man in an informal suit. His eyes the same gold as the Zubamon's from before and the same shade as his twins though having not met Cloak yet it was doubtful Emma would realize that.
"We'll be in touch. If the chip starts heating up however, feel free to reach out for me." The Doctor informed her casting the Spirit user a solemn nod as she awaited the portal to open. Once it did she'd step through with little fuss. A message pinging up on her screen as her location change.
'Safe?' It read. Lifting her D-terminal she quickly typed back a response.
'Safe. Returning Home.'
