Construction shifts were kind of noisy and tiring. This was something Naoko had come to learn over the past few hours as she did her best to keep up with the group of Digimon assembled. She didn't really know what they were working on but Titania had signed her up for this without her really knowing so waking up just to get dragged out to the East was...quite a start, truth be told. She was really, really tired already and it was baaaarely noon! At least something was starting to take even more shape thanks to her efforts. Except... There lay even more work, while Titania was off...Doing something. Nobody knows what. "...Good grief, is it seriously just me...?" ...It really wasn't, but she seemed alone considering the Digimon (of which there were all kinds) were kind of just letting the hooded youth mind her own business. Otohime was rather grumpy when she arrived for work in the village. This was supposed to be her spare time, but Jiro had signed her up for a shift of construction work! She got enough of that when the old man was telling her stuff, urgh! Not that she could be mad at him, he had only meant well. More bits meant more fancy digital stuff to buy, but her mood was still not the best. She loitered near the construction sites, looking around for a spot where she could help out, and spotted the lost-looking girl in the bunny hoody. Ugh, what a silly outfit! She shuffled over to where she was, stood next to her, and then looked her over. "The fuck are -you- lookin' at?"

Naoko continued looking lost and basically as out of place as a sore thumb, untiiilll....A voice stopped her. A real potty mouth. Naoko slowly turned around to face...Someone who was wearing a medical mask and a eyepatch.
What the fuck -was- she looking at? "Uh...Nothing...?" She replied to Otohime, looking at her with her trademark poker-face, but interlaced in that facial expression was a whole lot of confusion. And some amount of intimidation, too. Of all the times Naoko had to come face to face with PEOPLE it had to be when the darn fairy wasn't here! "...W-What are -you- looking at?" Was she staring at her hoodie? What?

Otohime looked the girl over again. A nerd, eh? She could tell nerds apart, they always wore these super weird clothes. This one seemed a bit jumpy and awkward. But hey, she didn't shrink under her question, that's already like 5 plus points in her book, if not even 4! "Me? I'm lookin' at a nerd. Ya know, the weird, noodly armed folk that can actually think. Which makes me wonder. What's a nerd doin' 'ere? Ain;t this work for people with muscles? Shouldn't y'all be sittin' behind a monitor programmin' robots 'n shit?" While Otohime's look and posture radiated typical delinquent, the tone of her voice bore no malice. It seemed that what she was saying was something she sincerely believed. Which was -weird- to anyone who's had a run in with delinquents before.

Was she being called a nerd solely because she brought her favorite hoodie to the weird world where there's talking, golden poo monsters? "Uh...One, I don't -think- I'm a nerd...And two, I'm kinda here because my partner signed me up for a shift in constructing some building in here and promptly just left me here."
...As cool as programming robots would be, Naoko reallllly didn't see herself doing that stuff. Her confusion persisted, though. This girl sure as heck looked like a delinquent but she didn't really sound like one. "...What's someone like you doing out here?" Naoko adjusted her hoodie a little and crossed her arms. This was indeed weird to her. She did indeed have run-ins with delinquents before. Heck, her sister used to be a bully. "That's...not meant in any way to be disrespectful, by the by. Uh. Serious question. Yes."
Talking to people was suffering.

The delinquent gave her a glare with her one visible eye. "Eeeeeeh? What I am doing here? Why, the same that you're doin'! And my partner signed me up, too! Talk about a tiny world, eh!" She gave her a playful nudge with her fist. "So if yer not a nerd, what's the with the hoodie? Ain't you afraid that pondscum is gonna follow you around an' make fun of ya??" There was an actual and genuine hint of concern in this girl's voice when she asked that. Whoever this weird girl was, she was definitely not the kind of delinquent that Naoko might have seen before.

...
It was a tiny world indeed. Naoko's eyebrow rose when Otohime gave her explanation as to why she was here. "...Isssss...your partner also a really tiny fairy that calls you her vassal and goes on shopping sprees while you take naps?" Naoko had doubt that this girl was actually partnered with anything remotely similar to Titania in the slightest but she did wonder what a mask-wearing, eyepatch-donning delinquent would be partnered with.
...Don't laugh because you're thinking it's a Cutemon, please.
As for the hoodie, Naoko actually hesitated to speak on that. Even when she did, she spoke quietly. "Err...I...thought the hoodie was cute. Don't really care if people don't like it...And...Pondscum?" What? Just who was this girl? Was she some Digimon in disguise?

"Eh? My partner? Nooooononoono, no fairy. My partner is the bestest little buddy someone can have! He's a cool, really nice dragon, an' he signed me up cuz he wants me to have some dough!" Otohime looked aside and grumbled to herself. "Coulda not chosen my spare time, tho..." She looked back up, then pulled out a phone. "Here's a pic of 'im! He showed me how the camera works n all!" She then showed Naoko a shaky picture of an orange Dracomon, who as looking very embarrassed and giving the peace sign. "BFF" was written in emoji at the bottom of the pic.
"Ah, so ya just rockin' it cuz ya wanna? Ya got spine, I like dat!" She was smiling under her mask. Just...who the heck was this girl?

Wait, what the fu-...There's actually dragon Digimon? "Wait, dragon? Like...Uh...What'd Titania call them...Dracomon?" SHE WASN'T KIDDING ABOUT THOSE? Naoko looked like she had just heard the craziest thing in the world for a few moments, before she glanced over to the picture Otohime was showing her. It...looked pretty adorable.
"...That's super cute." Kinda made her wish she had taken a picture of Titania at some point. Where even did she go? Hmm...
"Uh...Yes, basically. It's my favorite hoodie. Take it everywhere I go." Naoko was now staaaaring right at Otohime. Just who was she? "...Hey, what exactly did you get signed up to do in this shift?"

Otohime was all smiles. "Haha, yup, a Dracomon! His name's Jiro! He's the bestest little buddy a gal can have! And he's indeed super adorable!~"She laughed, and then walked past her. "Eh? What I got signed up for? Oh, nothin' much, just some carpentin'."She grabbed a spirit level and checked if wooden support pillars of a nearby house were all straight. "My old man's teachin' me the craft. That's why Jiro signed me up."She then walked over to the blueprints, studied them, and then grabs a horizontal support bar, putting it to the pillars and marking the spot where it was to go with a pencil.

"Well! My partner's a fair-- A Tinkermon named Titania. Styles herself a little like a queen and acts like a brat a lot but I have this weird feeling it's just some kind of act. She's alright. Jiro looks super...uh...c-cute, though." Naoko actually calling something cute that wasn't her hoodie was a very rare occurrence. Though...
...Now that Naoko thought about it, Titania did mention helping out with the carpentry. And then it actually hit her like a Trailmon engaging in jousting. She was supposed to help the weird eyepatch toting not-quite-delinquent with this stuff but she didn't really know how GODDAMN IT YOU STUPID FAIRY WHY DID YOU EVEN SIGN ME UP FOR THIS WHAT THE ACTUAL FU-
Naoko took a -really- deep breath because she had the feeling she might be laughed at or...actually, maybe not. She seemed like a well-meaning individual. "...I got signed up for that too despite me not knowing a thing about that, so...Uh. Where do you start?"

"Eh? Fairies? Tiny lil squeaky flyin gals? They can be spunky? Thought they were all about dresses n ponies n shit. But hey, that's cool! I like spunky folk!"
Otohime turned around to Naoko when she asked where they start. She chuckled a bit. Heh, got signed up for the job but got no clue how to do it! A bit like her back then! "Well, I'm absolute horseshit at explainin', but see that blue plan there? That's what the house skeleton gotta look like. Exactly that, or the whole thing collapses. Our job is to prepare the wooden stuff and to insert it so it is strong and don't fall over. For starters ya can help be hold them bars in place so I can fasten 'em good!"

"Oh, no, this one wears shorts and stuff. She's also the size of my hand and carries a sharp spear." Was Titania really that spunky? She couldn't really...read her too well, probably. Regardless, she paid close attention to what Otohime told her. And then!
The realization that she hadn't introduced herself at all came along. So, while she was grabbing one of the bars and holding them up for Otohime to fasten, she decided to remedy that. "Uh...Also, my name's Naoko. Please don't start calling me Koko or anything."
That was probably one of if not the most awkward introductions known to mankind. Naoko decided not to dwell on this and focused on holding up the bar, which was actually a little strenuous for her. Maybe this was the reason Titania signed her up. Maaaybe...

Otohime nodded at both the fairy explanation and the introduction, too focussed on the bar fastening. Once the bar had been put into place she pulled down the medical mask and grinned at Naoko, baring her surprisingly white smile, broken up only by the toothgap in the lower left (her left) of her jaw. "Nice to meetcha, Nao. Name's Otohime, but please, call me Ryuko, I hate my actual name!" Jiro had once told her that people feel better if they know you got secrets, too. She felt it'd help Naoko if she told her her real name! "Don't go around tellin' anyone my name's Otohime, ok? Or else I gotta kick ya in the family jewels!" She accompanied this "threat" with another grin and a gentle elbow nudge. Then she went back to the blueprint to see where the next bar goes!

Naoko actually managed a small smile at Otohime. The fact that Naoko was even capable of smiling or looking anything aside from stolid or confused was a surprise in and of itself. "Likewise, Ryuko." She decided to abide by Otohime's request.
...Come to think of it, it did make sense. This girl -was- a not-delinquent after all...And her name had hime in it. What kind of ballsy person had a name with PRINCESS in it? Furthermore, the fa--...Wait, fam--... "...Wait I don't even have those. But...Yeah, I can keep a secret." She wobbled a little from the nudge, but she shook her head.
Kind of helps that one of Naoko's favorite anime characters was called Ryuko.
"Where's the name come from?" She decided to ask while she -also- went to look at the blueprint.
