Adriana and Kouta had found her way through Server Woods and began to move onwards along the winding path which led up to the hills. As they wandered undecidedly, something large appeared in the distance. As they moved closer, the outline of a town came into view. However, it appeared as if it was still under construction, as there appeared to be piles of wood and stones outside of the gates. A large crane-like apparatus lay at one side to move the materials, assumedly.
On the outside of the gate, two Digimon stood, close together. As if they were talking to one another in whispers. They were small and ferret-like with long black claws and grey pelts of grizzled hair. As Adri and Kouta approached, they jumped as did Kouta, who almost fell from the girl’s arms. “New?” One of the Gazimon said. “Recruit?” the second added. Without further ado, the two Gazimon jumped forward and began to push Adri into the town. One at her back and the other tugging at her front. “What, where are we going?” Adri asked, a little taken aback. “You’re going to help rebuild Rosewood, right?”
Rosewood? Adri assumed that was the town’s name. Also, clarifying it was in fact under construction and now she was being recruited to help out. I guess it’d be at least fun to help out. She always wanted to be useful. “I’m not sure what I’ll be able to do. I’m not too strong and I don’t know how to drive a crane?” The Gazimon ignored her and continued to drag and push, only letting her go as they reached the square in the middle of the town.
“Wait. The boss,” The Gazimon said to one another. “Right… BOSS!” The second called in a louder voice.
As if waiting for the cue to enter. With a stride in his step, ‘the Boss’ walked out from one of the nearby buildings. The sunlight beamed of the shades perched on the oddly round Digimon. A mess of thick and bushy hair around large lips, a curiously muscular physique and the smell of strong spirits made this Digimon extraordinarily strange, indeed.
He seemed a little dazed and confused as it took him a few seconds to wander up to the Gazimon who jumped to attention immediately. “Hey, you. Yeah, Gazimon. How’s my project going,” the Nanimon said, stumbling slightly. He drew to his mouth a very large gourd-like object and poured the foul-smelling drink within into his mouth, hiccuped and then let out a large belch.
“It’s going well, sir. We got us a new recruit,” the lead most Gazimon said, pointing a blackened claw in the direction of Adri and Kouta. The Nanimon caught sight of the Adri and stumbled over to her. “Well, well, well. What do’ we got here,” he said in a deep grumble, continuing to hiccup.
“Hello, my Adriana. But, you can call me Adri for short. Everyone does,” Adri said as the Nanimon wobbled dangerously. “Oh and this is my partner, Kouta,” the little Gigimon nodded politely, but continued to look at the ‘boss’ with distaste. The Nanimon tried to take her hand to shake but missed. Instead, he merely ran a hand through the mess of beard, as if considering them.

Help needed. The two-word phrase that gets Agumaru to stop his training and head out onto the road. The phrase that lights a new fire in his heart. Someone - or a bunch of someones - need his help! Finally, a place of safety and civilization was being built in the Eastern Timberlands, somewhere that Digimon striking out on their own for the first time after leaving the Village of Beginnings. Agumaru can really get behind that, and they need help! "All right," he exclaims, as he reaches to rip down the flyer to take with him. "Time to show that I can be helpful!" As soon as he touches the flyer, however, he quickly recoils. "R-right, no removing and taking them. Heh."
The colorful plastic Agumon finally completes his journey, arriving in Rosewood. Construction was already underway, but they could always use more hands - even if they are shaped like weird forks. "Hmm... what job to apply for," he asks himself, though loud enough that he could have been asking someone else. "I'm good at chopping wood and carrying stuff, though not quite skilled at construction... I could protect against bandits, or -"
Bumping into a human startles Agumaru out of his self-debate. "O-oh, sorry," he exclaims, jumping back. "I really should have looked where I was going. Say... are you here for a job too?"
What was that smell? It makes Agumaru cough a bit. It seems to be coming from... that Nanimon? "Ghrk... hello sir. Are you one of the foremen?"

“Well...” Nanimon began but was quickly silenced by a second voice. Something bumped softly into Adri’s back and made her jump. “You almost dropped me,” Kouta complained from her arms, now almost sideways. “Sorry, but they made me...” Adri too was silenced as she turned to see what had bumped into her.
It was a tiny and very cute Digimon. It looked like a dinosaur, however, a dinosaur made completely of a child’s colorful building blocks. Adri was pretty sure that when she was younger, she had blocks very similar to these. Adri bent down so they were eye to eye. “Wow, you’re so cute. Little block dinosaur?” She said, unsure of the name of said species. “I’m Adriana. But you can just call me Adri for short. Everyone does. What's your name?”
Nanimon let out a boisterous laugh followed by a hiccup which filled the air with the smell of strong gin. “Another one? You’re j-j-j-just appearin’ out of nowhere today. Well, line up with the o-others.” Pointing a gloved finger at Adri and Kouta.
One of the Gazimon bustled over and handled the Nanimon, a clipboard. He imminently dropped it but quickly stooped to pick it up. The strange boss foreman squinted at it with some difficulty and then took another swig of the foul-smelling drink from the gourd. Now, let me see, let me see.”
“Well, we only really have one job at the moment. Don’t you know it,” Nanimon said, shaking slightly. “Don’t worry though, it’s the best one. So, how do you feel about cookin’? Cookin’ us a fancy feast,” he chuckled again, as did the Gazimon.
Without giving them chance to interrupt or argue, the Namimon shouted, “Right, so. The, uh, Gazimon will show you to workstations. I’m gonna go sleep. I mean work on, this here, important paperwork.” Without another word, Nanimon wandered tipsily away back to one of the houses.

Little brick dinosaur!? After a previous incident, Agumaru had taken a blow to his pride, his confidence, and his ability to ignore hints that he might not be a pureblood- well, puredata- Agumon. Could she be calling him a toy, as well? He looks shaken, rattled, and like he is about to blow, but he huffs and recovers. "Yeah... I-I am little, aren't I? And I guess I have a-a bit of a blocky build. But I'm tougher than I look! I'm Agumaru the Agumon! Nice to meet you!"
Gears turn in Agumaru's head - metaphorical ones, despite being a Metal Empire Digimon. "Adriana... are you Adrian but turned into a girl? How'd you do that, I didn't know humans could Digivolve! Or... are you just his sister? That wouldn't be as exciting."
The name of the game was cooking. Agumaru scratches his head. "Cooking, eh? Hm... I don't think I'm too terrible at that! And if worse comes to worst, I could at least make the flame and gather the ingredients, but I think I can do more than that to help!"

The door slammed hard as the Nanimon disappeared from sight, causing the house to wobble almost as badly as the Nanimon did. Adri turned back to the other three Digimon with interest at her upcoming task.
The tiny and rather adorable block Digimon introduced himself as Agumaru the Agumon. He seemed like an ‘easy-to-get-on’ with sort of Digimon which made Adri smile a little more broadly. However, for a second, it seemed like he was angry with Adri for some reason but he soon returned to his former happier state. Shrugging as if she had missed something, she introduced herself which led to something… odd.
Agumaru seemed confused and thought that she was the evolved form of Adrian. She blinked and thought for a second. “You mean that guy with the Shoutmon. He saved me from a Monochromon. I was almost a dinosaur dinner. But, um, no. I don’t know him that well.”
Kouta cut across her, “Oh yeaaaah. They’re related all right. They’re both humans and humans are unpredictably interesting creatures.”
“Hey, that’s not very nice,” she scolded but only half-heartedly. “Ahem!” The Gazimon coughed loudly trying to regain their attention. Adri jumped and turned to look across at the grey ferret-like Digimon again. “Okay, now introductions are done. Let’s go, hop too it. Come on.” Again, the Gazimon began to push at Adri’s back or pull at her to move her along. They were led to a large round building at the back of the village. “This is where you’ll be cookin’.”
The building was surrounded by a small farm area with grew some of the normal things you might expect from a farm. Potato, carrots, tomatoes and the like, however, as Adri grew closer to something else came into view. Large pieces of meat, attached to bone was growing out of the undergrowth. Standing next to this amazing but very strange crop was another Digimon. This one looked like an oversized, red eggplant. A mess of weed-like hair grew from the top of its head and its arms were long and twisted and ended with spiked clubs.
“RedVegiemon, these are the new “workers”. Get them all set up to cook us a delicious meal.”

"Adrian saved you from a Monochromon? Awesome!" Agumaru's pal must be doing pretty well for himself. This made him very happy to hear. "He's a pretty good guy! Hm... Adrian and Adriana not related... maybe you're destined to end up best friends or something!" Because that's how names work, obviously.
Agumaru scratches his head at the supposed 'insult' an Adriana calling Kouta out on it. "What's wrong with being unpredictably interesting," he asks sincerely. "How is that mean? Humans are strange, unpredictable, and overall amazing, and there's nothing wrong with any of those!"
The three make their way to the area they shall be cooking in. The vast fields of vegetables of all kinds, along with the meat plants, cause Agumaru to stare. "Wow.... this is amazing... this is... the best garden I've ever seen!" Spying the RedVeggiemon, he waves over and smiles. "You must have quite the talent for growing all this!"

It was only as Adri drew closer to the unusual building, she noticed what the odd vegetable Digimon was sitting in. Under the rounded body lay a giant pot, at least twice the size of any she had seen in any garden. A thick layer of gloopy, brown soil sat beneath the vegetable. It was also quite apparent that it was also, fast asleep. Gentle snores emanated from the wide mouth, revealing a row of grizzled teeth each time, it opened.
Agumaru spoke first, smiling and waving, he moved closer to the RedVegiemon. The RedVegiemon, however, let out a large snore and did not answer. He was so sweet and adorable in stature and personality. It was almost as if he had been crafted by a child’s imagination.
“Um, let me try,” Adri said, moving closer to the pot and in a loud and clear voice said, “Excuse me, Mr. RedVegiemon? We’re sorry to wake you but...” She cut off as the Digimon released another blaring snore. Finally, Kouta opened his mouth and in nothing less than a bellow, shouted. “WAKE UP!”
The RedVegiemon eyes snapped open. Red and bloodshot. Kouta immediately lost all of his bravado and tried to hide in Adri’s arms. “What a racket. How is a RedVegiemon to get any sleep around here.”
“We’re sorry to wake you. But, we were told to, um, cook a meal by ‘the boss’?” Adri began to explain. But the RedVegiemon cut her off and simply said, “If you want to cook. Then why don’t you use the facilities… they’re… that… way…”
He had fallen right back to sleep, but not before pointing towards a door with the long vines arms which ended in the thick clubs. “Oh, okay,” Adri said. “Thank you for your help.”
"Shall we," Adri asked the tiny block dinosaur. A wave of excitement coursed through her at the thought of all the freedom that came with cooking with all of these vegetables and even the odd meat crop, which she still didn't quite understand. "Agumaru. Do you know much about cooking?"
"Oh and I wonder if we can use any of these crops?" She asked herself more than to her companions.
“Pick whatever you want,” came the dozing voice of the RedVegiemon. After which, they proceeded towards the building he had indicated. “I guess, we let ourselves in?”

Agumaru waves and calls out, but the RedVegiemon is off in dream land. "Hm. Long day?" It seems they wouldn't be getting much help from him. That is, until Kouta shouts and wakes the poor guy up. "Sorry about this! Looks like you've been busy. Your garden is great. Aaaand you're asleep again. Okay then."
At least they know where the cooking facilities are, and that they can use the crops for ingredients. However, Adri alerted him to a snag in their plan. "Um...well..." Agumaru hems and haws, then finally admits: "I don't know a lot about cooking. I mean... I can cook for myself, but usually pretty simple things. With all the stuff in this garden, I'm kind of overwhelmed at where to begin. What to use, what to make, how to make it... just too many options and not enough skill. You think... you think they'll like stew?"

“A stew sounds like a brilliant idea,” Adri said, a smile cutting across her face. “I’ve made a few before. Although, that time I used a cooking pot. I hope they have the correct utensils and containers.”
“I mean, yeah, we’ve got all these products to use. Why don’t we use it to the best of its ability and make something delicious.” With Kouta in hand, she entered the great round building that lay out before them. Only now, realizing it was in the entire building had been shaped like a cooking pot, itself. “That’s quite an interesting design. Are all the buildings in this world oddly shaped?”
She thought back to the buildings back in the Village of Beginnings. They had been shaped like children’s building blocks, just like everything else in that village. Even the floor had been child-friendly, which made sense for a town for newborn Digimon. Adri guessed a giant cooking pot building made equal sense, using that logic.
Inside the building lay a long corridor which led onto two rooms. One was a great dining room filled with the largest table, Adri had ever seen. It seemed to have been crafted from at least one hundred different trees. Upon it lay, empty plates, cups, saucers, cutlery and other assorted tableware. “Wow, I sure hope we don’t need to feed that many people,” she muttered to Agumaru as they peered into the room.
The kitchen lay to the right. Two sets of elegant rows of sparkling metal benches seemingly perfect for cooking food as well as many implements for preparing. Between the two a large and perfectly clean, ironclad sink for washing up, she assumed. "Are you ready to get started, Agumaru?"

"Stew it is then! I can cook up a mean stew," Agumaru boasts. "And if you've cooked stews before, then we should be all set!" He gives Adriana a blocky grin. "I'm sure they have everything we need!"
After heading to the cooking building and realizing its shape, Agumaru chuckles with a hand in front of his mouth. "Well, there's your cooking pot. Guess we don't have to worry about that, though to fill it we'd have to make a lot of stew!"
Though was it really an odd shape for such a building? "Well, it is a building for cooking stuff. It makes sense that it would be shaped like that. Nothing odd about that." He sharpens his claws on each other, eager to get to work.
However, if the dining room was anything to go by, it would be a LOT of work. "You know how I was saying about filling this giant cooking pot," Agumaru asks rhetorically. "Maybe I wasn't wrong." The kitchen looks much more manageable. "Yeah, I'm ready. Let's see what we need. Definitely some Meat. Carrots and potatoes would be good for the stew too. Maybe a little bit of onion? Don't do like my first stew and use whole onions, bleh." He quickly waves his hands around in dissuasion. "No no! Don't worry, that was when I had no idea what I was doing. I'm no master chef, but I actually am great with stews now!"

Adri couldn’t help but giggle at Agumaru’s adorable antics. There was something oddly sweet about the way he acts. He seems to worry but at the same time, he doesn’t let things worry him. It’s quite inspiring really.
It took Adri a second to realize that, she wasn’t helping at all. “Oh, sorry. I was just daydreaming. Sorry about that,” she added, smiling.
“Hmm. So yeah, a lot of meat, carrots, and potatoes. Those are definite. When I was at home, I made quite a few different types of strews for my ad--, for my parents. Sometimes, I’d replace the potatoes with pumpkin. There is a lot you can do with a stew, for sure.” “How about you, Agumaru? What kind of stews have you made in the past?” For a second, she wondered if a Digimon’s diet was different to humans. Although, with all that produce outside. It seemed unlikely.
Kouta simply rolled his eyes, especially as he was smaller than the counter. So, he could barely see anything from down on the floor. “Sorry, Kouta. How about you go and start plucking some carrots and potatoes?” She offered to the tiny Gigimon, who fluttered his wing-like ears.
“Although, how I think about it. I’m not sure how you’d go about, getting that meat out of the ground,” she said, concerned.

Agumaru stares at Adriana who is staring either at him or through him. "Are you okay? Do I have something on my face?" He sighs loudly, relieved to hear it is just a case of daydreaming. "Don't worry," he assures her, "it happens to everybody sometimes! As long as you're fine, we're fine!"
"Stew is the most versatile meal," Agumaru agrees. "You can do pretty much anything with it. Chili is a type of stew, you know. Mine is a bit spicy for some. I've also had it where there was not enough meat around, so I made stew with beans and mushrooms. Lots of different stuff! Never thought about using pumpkin, however. Pumpkin... stew... hmmmm..."
As Adriana gave Kouta instructions, Agumaru stands perfectly still. "What do you want me to do," he asks. "Prepare something? Help with the ingredients? Just let me know what you need." He taps his foot anxiously and nervously.

Adri listened to Agumaru talk about the many types of stews, he had made in the past. "That all sounds good. I guess we should make it simple. I think it'd be safer, huh."
“Oh sorry, Agumaru. Hmm, well. You can do what you feel like,” she said, kindly. “I mean if you want to start cutting up the vegetables?”
Just in time, the little red Gigimon was pulling back several potatoes by the vine. The potatoes were the size of small beach-balls. “Phew, how is this?” Adri smiled as Kouta left again, back to the fields.
Adri offered the tiny block dinosaur, a knife, so he could cut up the vegetables if he chose to do that. “Well, I think this should be a good start,” checking the cupboard and finding some vegetables laying on the shelves. Adri turned around to turn up the fire on the cooker. Tiny orange flames streamed out from the burners, warming the kitchen with an orange shimmer.
"Perfect! This will be really fun. I hope you think so too, eh, Agumaru?" Kouta returned once again, dragging a great many vegetables in his mouth. “Phew, this is going to take some time, huh.”

"Simple stew to feed lots of hungry people fast. Good idea," Agumaru agrees. "Nothing to mess up, and is hearty enough to get through hard work."
It was Agumaru's job to cut up the vegetables. He stares as his fork-like hands, then glances back at Adriana. "Um... you want me to use a knife and not my claws," he asks. "Erm. Hold on a second. I need to do something."
The little dinosaur mutters to himself, eyes tightly shut. "Okay, just gotta convince myself that this is the right time to use the Digimental. Okay. Right. This is... this is hard work. There's no way I can get it done in time, if I have to use a knife with these hands. It is impossible. There's no way. But I won't give up. I can do this. I am... determined."
His little speech to himself seems to have worked, as the toy figure is quickly replaced with a blue armored platypus. His webbed mole hands do not look ideal for holding a knife, but much more suitable than his plastic claws. In fact, once he grabs the knife, he begins chopping like a skilled chef's assistant. Nowhere near five-star quality, but still impressive.
