"work on barricading the doors Cloak, I can try to unlock the terminals. Not a hacker and engineer for nothing."
The Kyrptmon sighed a little bit and placed the sword down against one of the walls with a sigh. He could feel the drag of this form on him more and more. He wouldn't be able to keep it up for much longer. After all it was the strongest one that he had at this time and he wasn't super used to it quite yet.
He'd help brace the Tactimon against a wall for the moment while he spoke to his partners. He wouldn't be able to do much here in this form, so might as well make use of his hands in the proper one. Exhaling slowly he'd let that warped darkness roll over him, his light being extraordinarily faint right now. He'd stagger and let out a small frustrated grunt as he felt his body react to being around again after such a strain.
"Tch... Little frustrating I can feel every bloody ache from that fight."
The man would shake his head and go over to what looked to be the center most command terminal of the room itself there always had to be one and if he was lucky it'd help him reset the systems in here for the moments he needed to get into them.
So he'd start his work simple, introduced about a few dozen looping codes into the terminals outside of their lockdown. Overwhelm the process to activate the shut down protocols that likely came with a system like this. He'd wait for that to occur before moving into the next step.
Setting Cas as the main administrative power of the server, with cloak and Dagger as the supplemental administrative powers. He wouldn't use their actual names but simply stand ins for the mean time. He himself would be registered as maintenance of the server while removing individuals with high clearance from the registered authoritative users within the observation system.
The observation room would of course have some kind of links into the system it oversaw. Being the digimon in the center and everything attached to it. His main focus at this point would be to locking down the ventilation for a short time to stop the spread of that gas in it's entirety.
From there he'd try to spread out as far as he could, trying to affect as many systems as possible from this single point. If the datamon noticed this he could of course try to stall or even halt his progress but introducing as many coding loops as he was it'd be difficult to pin point his entry place unless they tried hard enough.
If the digimon here were anything like he thought they were, they'd have every system sectioned off from one another. But that didn't matter much if you were in the right place. Hopefully... This was that place.
He wasn't the king of the castle, but he'd be damned if he wasn't going to pull a few bricks out of it.

Half of what Cassandra was saying seemed incredibly obvious. Why would the Apocalymon's core be damaged, after all? The second was a bit more of interest: "Hm... part of me wonders if whatever poison they concocted would have even worked. Apocalymon aren't really known for having a stable data structure as it is."
It would be easy enough for Cassandra to clip the wire - perhaps more oddly, though, was the fact that there was no movement to try and activate it as Cassandra messed with it herself. Was the kill-switch ever intended to work? Was there a different kill-switch? Or was the demon right about the mastermind all along? Regardless, he'd simply nod along as Cassandra spoke of the lack of painkillers. The rag was taken, and lazily bitten, as Cassandra pulled at that second IV.
There was simply a small grunt at that motion... and as it was 'all downhill from here', the Apocalymon started to roll his shoulders, spitting that rag onto the ground. "Fine, then rip 'em out. Anything I do after that's gonna be your responsibility, doc." Independent of Kan's actions, it seemed that the machines were doing a bit more 'manual' work in installing the poison. After all, it wasn't as if they had to be concerned about breathing the vapor themselves, and with no resistance to the ventilation room, it didn't take long for those canisters to be put into place. Just as the Duramon would start with the duct tape, he'd hear the familiar, and unfortunate, sound of an air conditioner being blasted on high, a vaguely red vapor starting to rapidly disburse through the vent... it would take at least a minute for Kan to kill that power. As for Kan himself? Well, an engineer as he was, he'd have quite the ability to slow them down as a sudden source - but, there were only so many terminals, and by process of elimination, only one that he would have access to in such a short span. He'd be able to make his trouble, yes, but it didn't take long for a loud, repeated 'bang' to be heard at the door, already threatening to bow and break that blocked door in.
On more than one front, everything was about to come to one moment!

Cassandra was not particularly a fan of having the careful removal of IV's and needles connecting a living being to a poisonous kill switch and a potentially unstable dark artifact referred to as 'ripping out.' In her opinion you could do something fast or you could do it right. Not both. Though gods above the woman was trying as Dagger let out a shout of warning as the gas began to spew into the room letting them know they were swiftly running out of time. Pulling a medical mask over her face the Doctor quietly hoped that between her EV suit, the medical mask, and her own unstable amalgamation of data and dna that it would take the gas longer then expected to probably kill or incapacitate her. Though the Apocolymon's ominous words did little to soothe the woman's mounting concerns with the situation.
"Dagger get into position to take out the throne as soon as we're clear. The last thing we want is them hooking someone new to this thrice forsaken abomination." Cas ordered as the Duramon hesitated for only a moment before peeling off towards the pair and moving to stand directly behind the throne blade leveled.
"Do you think Kan will stop the gas in time?" The metallic golden digimon murmured eyeing his Tamer with concern.
"I don't know. We're just going to have to trust them." Cas explained working through the process of unhooking the Apocolymon from said dark artifact. Disconnecting the secondary wires furthest away from his core first and watching the Digimon for any sign of a negative reaction.
"You'll need to evolve or de-evolve to a smaller form if you're able as soon as I get you free. If you try to just rip your way out of here you're likely to do more damage to yourself then anything. If you can't change forms we'll try knocking down whatever is blocking our signal and get a portal open for you." The Doctor explained as the last thing Cas wanted was unnecessary collateral damage to the civilians or themselves.
"I don't know what effect this is going to have on you or your power levels so if you feel any change I need for you to let me know. If something goes critically wrong I might only have a few moments to save you." Cas cautioned as she steeled herself and grabbing the last wire she had assured was connected to the throne and not part of the Apocolymon himself before carefully disconnecting it as Dagger brought his weapon down charged with a Twenty Slice and aimed to cleave the throne neatly in two. His strike barely missing the Apocolymon Cas was carefully keeping leaned forward and the Doctor herself.
"I swear if we live through this~" Cloak snarled out light briefly infusing his form as he dropped back to his Ultimate level as a Dark Knightmon to conserve energy and health. His armor still looked beat to hell, but he could move his arms albeit slowly and with great pain. Not that he needed them in that moment as he threw himself against he blockaded door trying to slow the enemies attempting to break through it.
Dagger Uses Twenty Slice - Twenty Slice: Focuses its fighting spirit into the blades on both arms and slices the enemy with them cutting them with glowing blades which burn away at corrupted data. Cooldown two turns - Pierce The Heavens: One of the Legend-Arms said to be able to pierce the heavens themselves. It's swords are designed to slice through any substance like paper. As such shields and defensive abilities used to block Durandamon's strikes function as one level lower in terms of stopping it's attacks. Cooldown of one post between activations. (Passive)

Killed the power... made some trouble...
Kan gritted his teeth and glanced at the door with that bang going off; he'd frown slightly glancing to the other in the room. Cloak; an injured Dark knightmon with barely enough power to fight as of right now. But what could he do? What could he do to change this situation to benefit the group as a whole?
What was the biggest problem they would face with how things were going?
It was the actions of the others that they were combating with, the others that they constantly had at odds with and had responses for seemingly everything they were doing. He'd stare at the terminal for a moment before getting to work hearing that metallic sound of Cloak hitting the door to try to buy them time.
"And if we live through this I'm buying drinks..."
A stupid honest statement, the man hadn't been on a mission like this before. He had done things outside of them that many would consider crazed. But with allies like this, that struggled and made way like this? Well he couldn't promise the world but he damn well could promise a few rounds right? Kan started to work through the system, trying to find a connection to the robotic digimon that were no doubt outside of the doors. If they were integrated into the system in some fashion or another he would be able to find them and do what he needed to.
The problem was that the more powerful ones would have the hardiest software, while the weaker ones would take less time but there were more of them. So the question that was posed if he could find just one of those HiAndromon could he hack it quickly enough to come and help them? If it was connected at all? Gritting his teeth he'd try to find that answer and make a simple judgement call.
Come on come on...
The simplest thing would to be to write a line or two of code that would over-write it's other directives. Setting them at a higher priority than anything else. "Protect the observation room" and "Protect the humans" in that order. It hopefully would recognize the threat outside of the observation room, recognize that there was a human in danger and act accordingly. Which would give him even more time to get into the other HiAndromon or introduce further lines of coding to make it go from an antagonist into this venture to a steadfast ally.
It was a chance. A long one. But the only reasonable one he saw.

At Dagger's concerns and Cassandra's warnings, the Apocalymon couldn't help but chuckle and give a grin. Despite the immediate danger, the demon couldn't help but consider this a game, at this point. This whole Colosseum, the challengers, the robots trying to take advantage of everything? As soon as that central wire had been removed, the entirety of it all seemed trivial to him.
What was torment to them was merely a game to the Apocalymon. Cassandra's warning about evolving and opening a portal simply bounced off deaf ears: "I believe I already said, doc," the monster pulled himself up from that chair, cracking his neck: "That what I do is your problem. Now, dismissed!"
So much for expecting that this patient would do anything he was told: the monster immediately bolted towards the front door, raising his own hand, three of its large, metallic claws stretching forth from his bicep. Three of the defending Andromon were quite simply plucked up and crushed into data, as the beast made his way out into the hall - his enormous data signal no longer concealed by the room!
"C'mon, s'that how you treat a guest?" He raised a bare hand, defending himself against the repeated fire of a HiAndromon. The grin on his face grew more and more crazed.
His intent, well, it was simple: tear this place to shreds.
As for the throne itself? Dagger's blade would sink cleanly halfway through, though he would find that his blade would 'stick' partway through the seat. Apart from that, however, the throne itself didn't seem to show any signs of damage: simply a 'chair split in half'. Would it still work?
Of course, not all of the machines were focused on that front door, meaning that Kan and Cloak would still find themselves in a bind!
Re-writing a Digimon's command on the fly was not the simplest thing, of course. Kan had direct access to the database, and in fact, would be able to submit those orders - but the very fact that they were contrary to the previous ones, coupled with the newfound failure of the poison dispersal, meant that only one of the orders made sense:
'Protect the Observation Room'.
The HiAndromon on the outside took that one to heart, a single round of gunfire blowing out the lock on the door, another kick shoving the barrier a good two feet backward!

"Gods fucking damnit~" Cas hissed as the Apocolymon bolted. The Doctor wanted to say she was surprised, but in truth she was merely disappointed as she bolted after the Virus type. More then unwilling to remain in the room currently slowly filling with poison gas.
"Dagger wreck the place. I'm going to go try to steer our loose cannon towards where they've got Kan and Cloak cornered." The Doctor ordered darting out into the hall behind the Apocolymon as she ducked the incoming fire taking refuge against the digimon's still bleeding back as she ignored the weeping data that gradually stained her once pristine white lab coat.
"Enjoying yourself?" Cas quipped over the sound of tearing metal and gunfire. "Mind taking a left here? They've got my allies pinned down the hall in the observation room. Should be plenty of Andrimons for you to rip apart up there." The Doctor requested hoping the Apocolymon had enough wherewithal to remember their agreement or if not could at least be enticed by the chance to dole out more violence. After all she had little confidence in her ability to stop the rampaging Digimon, but if they could wear him out and at least steer his destruction...
It was like a controlled burn, the Doctor reasoned, one could guide a wildfire if they were careful to scorch the earth leaving no fuel for the fire to burn. She'd need a map or location of their enemies for this to work though if she had any hope of leading the Apocolymon deeper into the maze of tunnels and away from the civilians above them.
Meanwhile with a scowl Dagger wrenched his blade free of the throne. There was no spark that he could see. No fading of power or change and from the noise echoing from the hallway it seemed his attack had had no effect on the Apocolymon either. Yet with Cas's orders to let loose the hounds of war the Durandamon set his jaw and moved as far back as he was able. His swords glowing with a bright holy light before he let loose a massive piercing slash of energy centered right on the damaged throne.
"Gods fucking damnit~" Cloak cussed in an eerie mimicry of his Tamer as he was bodily shoved back and away from the door. Leaving the Dark Knightmon to leap back as he placed himself between Kan and the HiAdromon wary of the digimon's next attack.
"Kan...are you able to make them stand down or are we about to have to rapidly relocate?" The Dark Knight Digimon rumbled out in question as he primed himself to grab the spirit user and run.
Dagger used: - Shatter Break: Durandamon launches a blade of energy at it's opponent capable of slashing into Digichrome and steel shattering into thousands of razorsharp shards upon impact shredding everything within a fifteen meter radius. Cooldown two turns.

Did those orders take?
He had maybe a few moments to contemplate what could of come from those when the single round blew out the lock of the door. The following kick shoving their barrier back and giving them maybe a few moments of time before the HiAndromon would be in.
Defensively speaking robotic digmon have armor plating. Sensory would require a more work to cover everything so...
"I could turn off a sub system maybe but a full stand down seems unlikely!"
Turning off the weapon sub systems seemed like the best idea. Unfortunately It wasn't going to be a piece of cake, he could do it to maybe the one kicking down the door but anything following probably would have their weapon systems hot and ready. Gritting his teeth he'd punch in for that particular digimon. Hoping that it'd at least buy them a little time. If the knight digimon could hold them off for a long enough time frame kan could reasonably turn each sub system off one by one.
"Just get ready to move if this doesn't work!"
He was frustrated that the second order didn't seem to take, if it did take they wouldn't shoot out the door. They'd just post outside of it... But he at least had options when this interface was staring him in the face!

Kan and Cloak had less than a minute before the HiAndromon would be on them. Now programmed to 'protect the observation room', it was now his sole prerogative to drive out the unauthorized users - the same users who, ironically, gave them this order in the first place.
Bang. Bang. Bang. Over and over, the HiAndromon slammed into the door and the cover behind it with the full weight of his shoulder, intent on simply barging into the room. And once he had a clear shot, he raised a hand, intent on firing his weapon -
Click. Click. Click.
... Nothing happened. The machine looked down briefly at his wrist, in confusion. Did his weapon systems malfunction? "Oh?"
The Apocalymon gave a grin, at Cassandra's carefully worded suggestion. "They're stuck in a side room, you say? Good, then I can go all-out without worrying about catching them by accident!"
Just what did he mean? Well, the Apocalymon would sprint forward, easily turning the corner: clenching his fist, one of the mechanical arms would similarly close, a tense red energy building up tight within the metal casing. He gave a grin, and forced his arm forward, palm out.
The claw responded, opening up, before letting out a massive crimson beam of energy - one that was even slightly larger than the diameter of the hall. Kan and Cloak would see that red wall of energy tear right past the door, the HiAndromon's figure leaving a brief shadow that soon vanished within the light.
As the attack finally settled, the hall was left in silence, save for the Apocalymon catching his breath.
"That all of 'em?" Dagger's second attack proved far more effective. His first had managed to pierce the throne, and the second blasted the construct to pieces, shreds of metal and ancient wire scattered across the floor.
Though the pieces didn't fade into data, at the very least, the device was rendered unusable.

Cloak tensed ready to lunge and grab Kan and then...nothing.
"Huh," The Dark Knightmon spoke glancing between the gun and the HiAdrimon. "Looks like you're out of ammo." The Ultimate quipped before grabbing Kan and dragging him down to the floor as a piercing red beam of light all, but eviscerated the enemy Digimon.
Cassandra couldn't help the low impressed whistle as she stepped around the Apocolymon resting one hand lightly on his side. "I think that's all of them for the moment at least. I have little doubt the Datamon will send reinforcements if he doesn't outright flee. Hopefully Wolf has caught onto the commotion and gotten most of the civilians out." The Doctor spoke unsure if their enemy would double down or attempt to cut their losses and run.
"Are you all right?" She questioned glancing up at the winded Apocolymon. She doubted they had much time to act now. While who knows how much rock, metal and earth might muffle his data signal to the world above it would do little to stop the residents of the Chaos Arena from realizing his sudden freedom. Likely making the virus type an even bigger target.
"Cloak? Kan? What about the two of you?" Cassandra asked already eyeing her partners harried state as she carefully slid a regenerate card and activated her clinic program.
"Alive. If worse for wear." The Dark Knightmon rumbled out as Dagger, rather disappointed in the lack of 'boom' involved in the destruction of the artifact soon moved to rejoin them. His golden form appearing in the hall behind them as he called out with a wave.
"Well I'm unsure if the artifact is 'dead' per-say, but no one will be using it for quite some time." The Durandamon assured them.

The frustrating order that he put in was one that was going to be difficult to override, kan was scrambling for an idea to stop them when the HiAndromon finally managed to break in. It's hand coming up to fire it's weapon which was followed by...
Click. Click. Click.
Kan took a little bit of pride that his meddling there had at least saved them the pain of whatever attack it was going to use. However he wasn't fast enough to move when that light shone brightly. Cloak saving him as the human got to watch the HiAndromon basically be obliterated.
Kan shifted and sat up rubbing the back of his neck as he took stock of the situation. They had this powerful ally here that was willing to fight in some capacity. Twins and two humans, with some ally up high working to keep those civilians out of the way.
"I'm fine. Seems I know what I can do with this terminal at least."
He'd grunt and stand up moving over to it with a frown. Well he knew some basics he could do. Dragging through the overlay he'd gaze at it and consider what he had to work with.
"See if that general weapon disable command can work for the rest of the robotic digimon hooked into this system... Then broadcast their positions to our big friend here... What else..."

"Reinforcements?" The Apocalymon's hand twitched in interest, the focus in his mask narrowing... before a wide grin stretched across his face. "Oh, I wouldn't be so sure about that. Up above, it sounds like there's a bit of a ruckus going on..."
Compared to the rest of the group, it seemed the Apocalymon's ability to sense data was a grade higher than the rest. "A varied data signal's coming from two sides to pincer towards the center. If I had to guess, those who had already figured out this place was a prison also found out that the Datamon sent down most of the guards here. And now its a free-for-all." He chuckled, in mild interest, before turning around, moving right back for the central containment room.
"Go on. If I come up and fight, I'm not going to care who gets snapped up in my claws - so I'll do you a favor for unhooking me and stand down from this one. Besides, my data signal'll attract the wrong crowd."
That was a reasonable call, and the room itself still held the shape to hide his data signal. All that was left was for the group to return to the ground floor, and try and piece together exactly what happened in their absence!

It was a sound plan. Of that Cas couldn't argue, but that didn't stop the Doctor from having reserves about just abandoning the Apocolymon even if she was pleased that it seemed Wolf had capitalized upon their distraction. "Kan can you pull us up a map of this location and find us the nearest elevator?" The Doctor requested turning towards the spirit user with as she took in his similarly ragged appearance before sliding yet another card. A soft glow appearing around Cloak before a serum materialized in the Dark Knightmon's hands. Blinking at it the Dark Knight passed it to Cas when she motioned for it before handing it off to Kan.
"Here. You can't go into the fight above looking like that." She advised before turning back to her own partners.
"Cloak do you still have the communicator? I know Dagger has mine." The Doctor questioned even as Cloak nodded fishing through his belt to pull it back out and pass it to her.
"It survived the worst of the fighting undamaged," He assured her as a slim smile played it's way over the Woman's lips.
"Excellent," Cas murmured before darting after the Apcolymon while Kan worked, catching up to him to press the little device into his hands.
"We'll be back once things are settled and look into getting you out of here." She assured him even as she gave him a visual once over determining that other then being a little tired his wounds were non-life threatening at the moment. "If you need anything or if anything changes you can call us on this. It should work if we're on the lower levels and once we knock out whatever is blocking communication." The Doctor explained pausing before she would more to rejoin her team.
"Thank you." She murmured words sincere before adding "Also don't touch the remains of the dark artifact those things have a nasty track record of trying to repair themselves or assimilate themselves into others to the detriment of their host and we don't want to take any chances with you." The Doc quipped in a voice that said she had far too much experience on such matters before she dart back towards Kan.

Kan paused at his swiping of the terminal to look over at the Apocalymon as he spoke about a ruckus going on upstairs. He'd furrow his brow a little bit and consider briefly what they could do with a fight going on up there. The problem being if it was too large they would get stuck in the middle. Gritting his teeth he'd rapidly tap on on the terminal trying to find what Cassandra asked for. It wouldn't take long for him to do so no but there was also the chance that the elevator would be locked.
"You have a point, though I can't exactly manage the mega again I can go for the Ultimate. Been a while since I even took that form, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did."
The man accepted the serum gratefully and once he was done looking through the terminal for this location he would digivolve into his somewhat holy esq canine. He looked extremely battered from the fight from earlier as he was still for the most part injured. Wincing a bit before injecting that serum into his arm the now 'digimon' turned his head to the Doctor.
"We have to hurry. If it's a mess up there Datamon will probably try to escape in the chaos."
The spirit looked down towards the terminal and frowned gripping his sword in one hand he'd consider the option of breaking the damn thing but... No they might need it later. It'd be easier just to set it back into lockdown. He'd tap a few keys to 'log out' so that the terminal would be locked again.
Log -Kan digivolved into Silvermon -Kan used the offered nano serum on himself.

The Apocalymon would catch that device in his hands, but would otherwise offer a simple wave over his shoulder. However this turned out, the Apocalymon was confident enough that he'd be on top in the end.
It wouldn't take long for the Silvermon to locate an elevator on the terminal, and, more to the point, it was still operational. This particular one would lead them all the way up to the ground floor. Even before the door opened, the chaotic sound outside proved to be absolutely chaotic! The clash of metal and the sounds of distant explosives filled the room, as a familiar voice would echo out.
"Charge the boss's office! If you're hurt, drag the downed fighters out - we'll figure out something for those nanites later!" The Strabimon's voice echoed close - and as the elevator door opened, Wolf's eyes would lock right onto them. His hand was tensed, and as it opened - "H-hold!"
Thank god, that wasn't reinforcements from the ground floor! Seeing Cassandra - and assuming those with her were allies - the Strabimon gave a nod. "I don't know what you did, but we've somehow broken through their defenses. Still... shit, it looks like you guys've been through the ringer."
He growled - looking down a hallway that led further into the base, before pointing over his shoulder. "Get on outta here, we can handle this ourselves. 'Sides, this place has had this coming for a long while, now."
Primary Mission Objective has been completed.

Drawing herself up to her full height of five foot, and one inches the Doctor met the Strabimon's eyes with a level gaze and a firm clench of her jaw. "Negative Wolf. I set this in motion and I have every intention of seeing it through." The Doctor declared voice firm and every inch the combat medic she had become in her time in the Digital World as a fire she thought nearly lost sparked to life within her soul once more.
"The Datamon leading this operation routed all of his high level forces to the lowest level to deal with a security breach," Cassandra explained as she calmly ushered her twins and Kan off the elevator before turning and calmly sliding a piece of rubble between the closing doors. Preventing the elevator from returning to the depths. "A Security Breach whom is none to happy with his incarceration and with whom they are now currently stuck down there with." The Doctor explained flashing the Strabimon a smile as sharp as a knifes edge. She had a distinct feeling that the Apocolymon once he realized there was more prey below who could no longer outrun him would have a marvelous time.
"However, you should avoid the lowest level. I don't have a way to identify you to him safely and I don't want us to risk losing any more forces." She elaborated quickly lest the rebels attempt to infiltrate the base below and find themselves caught in the cross fire.
"Where is the nearest secured room? Funnel your wounded there. I'll set up a triage center to take care of injuries. Kan if you were able to get a map of the base could you forward it to my D-terminal. I'll port it to my tablet for Wolf and his team to use to cut off the Datamon's escape." Cassandra ordered moving with purpose and beside her Cloak and Dagger stood a little straighter at the woman's nonsense attitude.
"We'll set up a choke point between the front lines and the triage. That a way you have a safe location to fall back to." The Dark Knightmon rumbled out, "I'm still fairly fresh. If it comes to a fight I can hold off any pursuit till we can regroup." Dagger chimed in.
The distance would likewise give Cas the chance to peruse the data she'd gained on the Apocolymon and the Dark throne in the meantime. Finding herself loathe to leave until she'd secured the imprisoned Digimon and stripped the colosseum and the base below for every scrap of information. Her payment wasn't on a ticking clock after all.
