Finally, Isaac decided to get serious!
Still feeling the sting of the dragon's scales against the bare knuckles of his fist, Iko gave a glare under his visor towards that incomprehensible language. That wasn't important, but the sudden clarity in Isaac's movement and action were: he'd put more distance between himself and the wolf - as well as the Monitamon - and let out an impressive blast of heat! At once, that Pendulum Feet, previously engrossed in conversation, convulsed on the spot. Unsightly red welts were built upon both its frame and the top of its cable, not quite enough to take it down outright.
Iko's own sprint underneath, however, finished the job: with one cast of 'Crescent Whip', that makeshift blade was slashed right through the cable, leaving the agent helpless in midair. Struggling for a brief moment, and unable to regenerate, it simply crashed into the now-baked sand below, shattering into trash data on impact. However, Isaac's fiery burst had left something else behind, a red sinewy zone of corrupted data around his feet. It wasn't enough to usher forth another agent... but the act of attacking drew another from nearby.
'Horn Striker' - a grounded unit, rivaling the MetalGreymon in size, with a much more robust cable. This one did not mess with pretense, instead moving to charge the MetalGreymon head-on, charging to meet its shoulder against the ultimate's chest!
"Damn it... that one's got armor more like a machine! Try the joints!"
Even with Isaac and Char's respective explanations, the D-Reaper remained quite the bizarre foe - something that Morgan would find out on his efforts to charge right for the Pendulum Feet's cable. It was true that, while regenerating, the agent was largely unable to move - and Mogan's dive towards the cable would likely destroy the agent outright. However, the D-Reaper had one trait, one aspect that the Waspmon had probably not seen or fought against before.
The D-Reaper agents, themselves, had no instinct for self-preservation. Like drones to a queen, they were expendable so long as they achieved their purpose.
Morgan might find that out the hard way, as the Pendulum Feet might have done the otherwise unthinkable - as its cable was approached and about to be severed, the agent gave a click, and gave a direct approach towards that 'Cyclone Crash'. If it hit, it would be torn apart, almost immediately, in contact with those razor sharp winds, and would be turned into that same red mass as the ground below.
A red mass that, if allowed, would cake heavily against the machine type's carapace!
Roger, meanwhile, was about to learn a tricky thing about aerial combat: whoever held the height advantage, held the fight.
Though this theory was a bit muddied by the aspect of the cable, the Pendulum Feet was not about to freely give the Flymon room to simply drop and fly away. Though that slice narrowly missed, as the insect started to go into a free-fall, the agent simply followed right along: a foot behind in pursuit the entire time, a blade drawn, waiting for the moment it could catch up. The bombs themselves couldn't effectively be used... but certainly, Roger would have to pull up at some point, right? The Flymon would have to either do that, or slow down to pull up - at which point the Pendulum Feet could simply lash out in a similar effort to before.
It was a 'predator chasing its prey', so to speak. As those wings opened and he'd shift into a glide, he'd definitely see that cable in front of him - and be right in range of the bladed agent from behind.
It would be tricky: a slash aimed across the center of his back, from his blind-spot. Just what could he do from there?
