[attr="class","xenica"] Xenica sat alone in an alleyway, watching her phone with a bored expression on her face. Her new allies installed an application on her mobile device that tracked several hidden bodycams placed on several individuals, without their knowing. You see, they weren't simply hidden on their clothing, no, these high-tech cameras were actually surgically implanted in the eye, allowing for them to stay operational even in the event of a Spirit Evolution. She really didn't like thinking about it much - hopefully she didn't have one of those in her own head. A truly cringe inducing thought. The screen soon faded to black, the owner of the bodycam being soundly defeated and terminated, causing the girl with neon hair to sigh and switch applications, quickly texting an unsaved number she had just recently obtained: " yo, #3's done. can i intercept?" Xenica was certain she knew the two that were responsible for this crime. Getting up from her previously "comfortable" position, the teenager checked her phone again, noticing that the number had already responded with a simple "sure." With that, she quickly made another call, reaching an older lady's house line. With a smile, she quickly ran off, hoping to catch a bus to her destination and beat the two culprits there. ...Luckily, she did, as all of that was around an hour ago. The tattooed girl sat alone on the steps of Akari's house, both of her parents being sent to the other side of town thanks to her phone call. It really wasn't hard, she simply told them that their daughter needed a ride, and she couldn't talk right now because she was taking a...well, lady's business. A taxi soon pulled up, and with how the modest house was set up, they probably didn't notice her from the back seat of the cab. Not yet, anyways. Damn, guess there's no time for another cigarette. Akari had questions. Way too many goddamn questions. Like for instance, what was going on in this world?? Was there more to what was going on in Shibuya than she had ever expected? Tonight was filled with terrifying revelations... That there were perhaps monsters walking among this world, and there may exist another world filled with them.
But why?
Frankly, Akari just didn't know... nor did she really care right now as she helped lug Mao out of the taxi. There were questions she wanted answered, but she knew this was probably already an exhausting ordeal for the nerd... Her first priority was just to try and get them inside so they can least patch her up... She didn't know much about medicine, but fuck it... Down enough ibuprofen and anything is able to be walked off, right?
Unfortunately for her, questions as they were answered were replaced by new ones... Specifically why a certain blue-tinged hair was waiting at her doorstep. "Xen? Hell you doing here this late?" she asked in mild disbelief, though quickly shook her head. "Ugh... Nevermind. Can you help me get the nerd inside? We ran into a fuckin' creepo..."

That explanation made Mao feel like she had explained absolutely nothing worth knowing. And it also invited the idea that she had just confused Akari even further. After she had concluded that, Mao remained silent for the rest of the car ride, before once again accepting the blonde's help with getting out. Moving around still kinda hurt.
Mao was not expecting to find a blue haired girl that was practically covered in tattoos to be waiting in front of Kinuko's home, however. Akari recognized her, though. Xen...Where had she heard tha--...Wait, -that- was Sanagi? Mao hadn't heard crap from or about her since she moved out of Kumagaya.
She just looked kind of shocked for a few moments. "...Yeah, turns out creeps run away quick when you have a knife handy. Then again, that...was a pretty bad scuffle..." Bullshit explanations, go!

[attr="class","xenica"]" Been a while, right? I just thought I'd stop by since I was close during my nightly walk." Xenica spoke to Akari, looking both of the girls, trying to see just how bad their wounds really were. " Wow, Kita, you look like shit." The thin teenager would then go to help Akari being her inside, taking one of her arms over her shoulder. " More than usual, ha." She further remarked as the trio made it inside. It was dark, and nobody was home, so Akari would have had to of unlocked the door to let them all inside. Xenica would release Mao, allowing her to go sit down wherever she pleased. " Hopefully we can put all that stuff behind us, Red. Y'know I didn't really mean it anyways. I was just playin'." She casually spoke to the spectacled teen, while turning on the kitchen light and looking for both some medicine and something to eat. Xen failed to find the latter, but did find some leftover sushi in the fridge that she immediately began to eat, without really asking. Hopefully, her friend was doing a little better job at finding some aid for the injured Spirit User. " You guys don't have to worry, by the way, the police won't come looking for you." The girl with cloud tattoos smirked, alluding to the fact that she knew damn well what those two had just gone through - and done. Nightly walk. Honestly, knowing the kinda stuff Xenica liked getting into, Akari was willing to just shut up and go with it. The girl rolled her eyes slightly as she unlocked the door and got everyone inside. Weird... Weren't her parents here? She had not seen their car, so it was a tad odd.
No wait, it was probably better this way. She didn't need to go trying to explain why two out of three girls looked like they got into a bar fight (and for once, it wasn't Xenica). While Xenica raided the fridge (no biggie, they had tons of food); Akari was busy getting Mao situated on their sofa, even getting a footstool for the neet to rest their feet on. Once that was over, it would be just a quick scurry to the medicine pantry of their kitchen to try and get some bandages and bactine.
It took Akari a moment to realize just what her friend was saying, she actually double-taking their words. Xenica had an odd sense of humor, but this was borderlining creepy... if just because it felt like that lithe neon-haired girl was letting on that they knew more than they should. "...? What the...? How the hell? Xen, you saw what happened back there?" Akari asked in mild disbelief.
Then again... this wasn't the biggest surprise to happen today for her. Not by a long shot. At this point, anything goes.

"Yeah. I know." Seriously, the constant reminder of that was probably the worst part of all this. It was why Mao was so glad to have moved out. Because maybe, just MAYBE? She'd have to put up with some completely different insults or what have you. She didn't really have much else to say to the blue-haired girl while Akari had situated her on the sofa.
Good thing she wasn't bleeding anymore, right? Would be a real shame if she bled allover the nice couch. She glanced over to the two in the kitchen with an expression on her face that read...What the heck? "...I...How?" She -knew?-
How did she -kNOW?-

[attr="class","xenica"]" Like, yeah. I saw everything." Xenica shrugged, casually taking another roll with her fingers and munching on it. Eel, boy, Akari's family sure knew how to live it up. Could've been fresher, but it was still delicious. After she had finished her traditional oderve, she pulled out her phone from the pocket of her dark short-shorts, placing it on the counter-top so that they others could see the screen. After pressing a couple buttons to replay the video feed, Mao and Akari would find themselves watching what they had just gone through, only through the eyes of the enemy. " I kinda needed that dude to do something for me, but now that's going to be a problem. He's kind of dead now." It was now more than obvious that she was connected to what was going on with the Argomon Spirit Wielder. " But like, he was kinda annoying anyways. Maybe you two could take his spot." " Maybe you'd be able to learn to control that spirit better, Red." Xenica commented, right when she began to start to take a beating in the video. Soon it came to the conclusion, where the feed permanently faded to black. " You're probably wondering what's going on, what I'm up to, righto? Well, really, it's simple. I started a gang. We're gonna do what we want and have fun with it. Maybe that's robbery, maybe that's hurting people." She paused, turning her eyes to Mao, and allowing both of her guests to take in the information. " You like hurting people, don't you, Mao?" The serious tone was soon broken, as Xenica took another bite out of the borrowed sushi, prompting her ask a question. " Damn, Akari, this stuff is just making me more hungry. What do you guys want? I can order a pizza, and like, there's a Chinese place down the street too." [newclass=.xenica]width:350px;font-variant:normal;font-weight:normal;font-size:10px;line-height:normal;font-family:Calibri;text-align:justify;margin-top:35px;padding:40px;border;[/newclass] [newclass=.xenica b]color:#71aaff;font:11px Exo;[/newclass] [Googlefont="Exo"]

Akari didn't even know what to think hearing from Xen that yes, she saw it all... and in a way Akari wouldn't have thought possible. At first the girl merely though that Xen was recording everything a safe distance away, but that theory was quickly thrown out the window as she recognized that this was from that freak's perspective... And not just like a few seconds. It was the entire encounter that was recorded.
She knew Xenica was pretty lax about what they were willing to do, but this was a bit surprising for even Akari. A gang. Fine, fine... but what kinda gang had freaks like that guy?! Even the Yakuza would have been disgusted at how deplorable that plant demon guy was... If anything, Akari was just a bit miffed that Xen didn't even try to help them back there. "Xen, I consider you a really good friend... but oh my god, you piece of shit... That guy scared the shit out of me!" Akari angrily snapped, though quieted down pretty quick as she realized Xenica had already had their attention drawn to the fridge.
That was one thing that honestly scared Akari about Xenica. Pretty chill and relaxed person usually, but they could be damn right terrifying... There was a lot of information to process, even as the video cut out with the fatal blow from Mao. Akari shook her head as she clutched it, though not before tossing Xen a credit card. "Go nuts. Just don't do what you did last time and call for fifty supreme pizzas for pickup at Miami like last time." the young woman muttered as she took a seat down. "Okay... Before you go recruiting our asses for some gang... I want to know what the hell is going on. Mao and him turned into monsters... Are you implying theres more people like them?"
She just wanted some fucking answers.

Mao stood up and sauntered over towards the counter, only to be presented with...What she had done in the past hour. The gray Arkadimon beating the tar out of the Argomon. But from his point of view.
Okay. Mao was at least kind of...alright with that explanation. Mostly because it gave her leeway for what she was about to say. "You hired some shit help. Guess I cleaned that up." She noted, heading back to and promptly reclining on the sofa. Was she mad? Yes, yes she was. But at least she got to throw barbs!
Hurting people...?
"I wouldn't say I like it. I have a...tendency to end up hurting people either way, but I wouldn't say I like it."
You and I both know that's not true. A familiar voice rung out in Mao's head. Vemmon had finally 'woken up.' Something that the other spirit, Arcadia, had taken note of! Funny thing is, you're right! Hurting people seems like something you love!
...
....
"...Shut up..." Mao grumbled. Yeah, now she was sounding like a crazy person.

[attr="class","xenica"]" Alright, fine, no pizza then. We'll order Chinese." Both Mao and Akari continued to comment on how terrible, deplorable, and generally terrible at his job the Argomon Spirit User was. Well, like, yeah, that's what she just said. " Look, yo, I wasn't like really down to hire that guy, but he really wanted in." Xenica almost went on to talk more about the gang, but it seemed like that would have to come later. These two were basically in the dark, well, at least Akari was. " I can tell you want some answers. I ain't never been one to be vague, so let me tell you." The violet eyed teen took a deep breath, realizing how stupid she sounded every time she had to do this conversation. " What you like encountered, and what Mao is, is called a Spirit Wielder. Still probs doesn't make a lick of sense to ya, so yeah." She reached into her leather jacket to produce another mobile device, only this one looked more like a virtual pet, colored a striking blue and fuschia. " Now shuddup and listen. This is called a Digivice. I don't know exactly how it works, but it gives you a ton of power. Some people use it to turn into monsters, some people use it to control monsters, and some can even lead weird fusion armies with them. Please don't ask about that last thing, I ain't really understand that one either." Onto the next lesson, " Those monsters are called Digimon, short for Digital Monsters. They come from like, the Digital World or something, which is a totally different dimension created from all the electronic shit we have on this planet." That was everything in one go. There was more stuff her comerade filled her in on, but it wasn't really important right now. Xenica moved to the living room, as they would all be leaving very shortly. " So to answer your earlier question, Akari, there are more of us." She considered Spirit Evolving to show off, but it took too much time. " Digimon are a hundred times stronger than anything from this planet, as you've seen. With them, we could do literally anything we want!" She began getting excited, as she was actually very thrilled to get this gang off the ground. Mao wasn't exactly somebody she ever respected, but with the power she displayed, she could certainly be more than an asset. Akari. Well, it would be nice to have somebody on board that she was already close with. She didn't seem to have a Digivice, but that could perhaps be worked around... " Well think about that, I'm gonna order now." Xenica pulled her cell back out, making a quick dial to the place around the corner. [newclass=.xenica]width:350px;font-variant:normal;font-weight:normal;font-size:10px;line-height:normal;font-family:Calibri;text-align:justify;margin-top:35px;padding:40px;border;[/newclass] [newclass=.xenica b]color:#71aaff;font:11px Exo;[/newclass] [Googlefont="Exo"]

Shit help. Yeah, she was willing to agree least with Mao on that one. That guy was a metaphorical monster... She honestly didn't even have a bloody bit of sympathy for the bastard... He deserved to die as painfully as he did. "The world's better without one less bastard like him." the young woman bitterly spoke as she applied a bit of bactine where she got cut before handing the bottle to Mao. "Take it easy there Kita. Try not to get stressed and move around too much..." she spoke, mistaking the spectacles-wearing girl's mumbling as frustration over the events that had transpired.
Well, least Xen wasn't too happy with the deceased's actions either... That alone least bought some relief to Akari's nerves in regards to tonight. Xen was a weird girl, but damn if she wasn't reliable. Not too many people Akari was willing to trust so wholeheartedly, so it wasn't difficult for her full attention to be directed at Xenica's explanations... as far-fetched as they seemed.
Initially, Akari was confused seeing what seemed like a cross between a clunky 1990s cellphone and a Tamagotchi... Though turns out it was not without a purpose. Well, at least it somewhat helped tie the pieces of this puzzle together, such as how Mao had became that fleshy abomination... Actually, Xenica's Digivice looked like the exact same kind of model as Mao's! Shit... Least she hoped Xen's forms were less gross and weird as the other two examples of Spirit Wielders she has seen so far. "You can turn into them too..." Akari mumbled, taking full notice of the manic young woman's excitement over how dangerous Digimon were.
Power WAS an alluring and intoxicating thing... It sure beat the doldrums of day-to-day life, that was for sure. It wasn't really surprising honestly to Akari that someone like Xen would take such delight to such nuances when possible.
The girl sighed in deep thought as she took a seat down, her shoulder feeling a little better now that it had time to numb. It... It was a lot to take in. "Oy, Mao. Since Xen's busy... Enlighten me if you can? Where the hell did you get yours? Your Digivice I mean."

"...Pfffthahaha! Yeah, let's order chinese! You saw what I told that guy, it's actually funny!" Mao actually let out a laugh at the suggestion. It was the most joyous she had been since coming here, really. "...Anyways, yeah. He's better off...gone. I guess." At least all three were in agreement.
That guy was nothing.
"I tried explaining on the car ride here. Except I was...too out of it to say anything that made sense, I guess. I got mine after I fell into a hole that was in front of my computer. That day was...uh. Weird. I didn't necessarily 'get' it. It just...came to be." Should she explain that the Arkadimon wasn't her primary spirit?
...
"The thing I turned into isn't...the one I could become at first. It's...a space alien." Mao left it at that. She was mostly trying to breathe and take things easy. It was true, Vemmon and now Arkadimon were...strong. The latter seemed capable of healing from even the most grisly of wounds. The former was, while not of this world, certainly effective against the denizens of the other world.
What could she do with all this power in her hands?

[attr="class","xenica"]" Yes. I do want extra garlic. I am absolutely sure." The neon haired teenager was never exactly the quiet type - even when talking on the phone, she had to speak just a little bit louder than whoever she was conversing with. " Definitely no steak. Ew." the conversation continued as Xenica walked into the other room, her voice becoming quieter and quieter as she paced further into the house. The other two would have a couple minutes alone, at least until she finished making her extremely picky order. About ten or so minutes later, she would return to the living room, now finished talking on the phone. " How's that sound to you gals?" She recovered most of her things and got ready to leave the house. After all, food had been ordered, and it wouldn't be too long before Akari's parents got back home. " If you're in, we're leaving soon. We got food to pick up and people to meet." It wasn't what that old dude told her to do, but she was aborting the current mission in favor of recruiting these two, people she knew and trusted far more than the random criminals and thugs that initially flocked to her idea of an organization. Sure they had the grit, but the brains were basically non-existent, and none of them could stand up to her one on one, let alone that messed up angel. " Look, I trust you two more than these ex-cons, I hope you make the right choice." Xenica went for the door, preparing to go back out into the streets, with or without them. [newclass=.xenica]width:350px;font-variant:normal;font-weight:normal;font-size:10px;line-height:normal;font-family:Calibri;text-align:justify;margin-top:35px;padding:40px;border;[/newclass] [newclass=.xenica b]color:#71aaff;font:11px Exo;[/newclass] [Googlefont="Exo"]

Well... Akari never would have thought Mao had that kinda sense of humor... Guess there really was more to four-eyes than she originally thought? It took guts what Mao did back there, and Akari was able to respect them for that.
Honestly, she wasn't really sure about the specifcs on what Mao was saying regarding how they got their Digivice, but at this point she was willing to let it slide. There was something more to this world than she initially knew of, and honestly that was actually a bit exciting. "I always knew you were part alien when I first looked at ya." Akari somewhat snidely joked, though it was mostly in good jest.
All that aside, it seemed Xen had their order done... Though now an important decision was needing to be made. There was something huge going on here that she would have never known to exist had she not been a part of the events that happened here. This was her chance to walk from all of this, but did she really want to? No... Walking away from this would have been a mistake... She wanted to learn more about this strange new world, and Xen was right now her lifeline for that.
She trusted Xen. They had a good eye on what was a good deal when they see it... and they seemed to have faith in her and Mao too. The choice was up to them... She glanced at Mao as Xen began to head out. "Hope your leg is gonna be fine... I think we should follow." she spoke, willing to help the girl get up so they could get moving... but there wasn't time to waste. They really needed to not dawdle if they were gonna catch up with Xen...

Mao didn't really think too much of what she had said back there. Just that it was a funny coincidence. Her demeanor quickly went back down to earth with that snide comment. She shrugged in response to that. There were bigger fish to fry, though. " Where are we headed to?"
If she was going to have to fight anything else, she'd actually be in an even worse spot. She didn't really trust either of the girls. But, it was better than staying at someone you hate's house alone. Mao revealed that she could get up and move alright, and moved for the door as well.
