Tamer's Log. Entry 1
Origin of Name.
This log is meant to keep track of Tetsu and his growth. This way if something weird happens, I have a source to look back on. Because god only knows that my memory is flaky at times. Or hey, if I lose my memory completely I can read this and not freak out over the talking purple blob that is currently eating an empty soda can.
So first entry, I guess that means I need to put in some background info. So yeah, digimon. Apparently monsters from the computer that change shape and stuff. I found Tetsu in my bag along with a digivice, which was really odd because no one seemed to have put him there. Kind of freaky.
He is currently a purple furry blob of adorable hunger at the moment, but from what others tell me, that can change rather quickly. He can talk, but only small words and phrases. He likes to repeat himself a lot. Lots of energy in this one. God its tiring.
Oh, his name. Right that was the entire purpose of this first entry. So I had him at home and I was trying to figure out what he likes to eat (The answer is everything). He ate a bunch of my snacks in the park, but yeah, still hungry. I found some rice and offered it to him on some chopsticks. He bit the morsel just like planned. What I didn't plan was for him to bit through the chopsticks and than start eating them. Little guy likes to eat metal. His fur is kind of course like metal too, so I figured Tetsu would be a good name. Just calling him Dodomon seemed kind of weird, like naming a dog Inu or something like that.
So yeah, he's named Tetsu because he eats metal and his fur is rough like metal. Not exactly the most impressive origin for a name, but hey, sometimes simple is best.
End Log.

Tamer's Log. Entry 2
Meet the Family.
So I introduced Tetsu to my brother. I would like to say that this was my own decision and that I did it because I felt that Shun would get along with Tetsu. Sadly, I cannot say that. My brother found the furry little guy when he was eating a fork out of the drawer during lunch. I had left to grab some take out and told Tetsu to stay in the room. The little guy is surprisingly obedient. The problem was that I forgot that since Tetsu is a baby, he does not remember things for long. He got hungry and decided this would be a grand time to explore the apartment.
I have no idea how he ended up in a kitchen drawer and I'm not sure I want to know. That way lie madness.
So I came home to my brother screaming, wielding a knife, and stumbling around half blind because Tetsu spat iron dust in his eyes in self defense. It turns out that Shun took a swing at him. Luckily, the swing was shallow and Tetsu's fur is actually made of metal. So it didn't really cut him.
So I had to calm everyone down. Sadly, to keep Tetsu from spitting iron dust at Shun and to keep Shun from attempting to turn Tetsu into a rug, I had to sacrifice the takeout I had just bought. Anyways, I explained the situation to Shun and he did the understanding thing and told me to get rid of Tetsu.
Tetsu at this point started crying and well, things kind of went downhill from there. There was a lot of yelling and arguing, but eventually Shun gave in after Tetsu gave him the puppy dog eyes. I think Shun forgave him for the iron dust thing right there. Guy was adorable.
Anyways, Shun knows about Tetsu and is letting me keep him.
End Log.
Below the entry you can see something written in a handwriting styles.
Shun: Hiro, get Tetsu to stop eating all the utensils. I had to run down to the Ramen stand this morning to get chopsticks because Tetsu ate the last ones.
Addition to entry 2.
Note to self, buy wooden or plastic utensils so that Tetsu does not keep eating them.

Tamer's Log. Entry 13
Digivolution (Flash Evolution)
So Tetsu 'digivolved' today. He has evolved from a furry blob with ears to a tiny little fox thing. Apparently digivolution is like flash aging or something. Because not only has Tetsu changed from a baby to what I can only assume is some sort of toddler or child age in seconds, his mental capabilities have drastically improved.
His vocabulary has improved a great deal. He can speak in sentenses now, which is a relief. His short speak was adorable at first (okay so it was adorable the entire time) but it was a little frustrating. His understanding of concepts is a lot better.
Now that I've gotten the basics down, I would like to state my opinion.
Dude, what the hell?! I mean, like, seriously. How does that even work? He just changed. One second Tetsu was bouncing on my bed and the next there's this fox thing there and he could speak like a person. Okay, a child, but still. I freaked out for a bit. I mean, I know Natasha told me about this but still, seeing it in person is weird!
Oh, something of note. Now that Tetsu is Dorimon (Apparently the name changes with every level) he knows a lot more. Like instant knowledge as he digivolves. He was able to tell me a bit about digivolving.
There are apparently levels. Baby, In-Training, Rookie, Champion, and then Ultimate. There might be more after that, but Tetsu got interrupted by my brother walking in and wondering what the hell happened to Tetsu. Oh well, still its scary to think about. Tetsu still have at least three more transformations to go through. What is he, a last boss in a video game?
Man, I hope he doesn't get too big. Feeding him'll be a pain if he gets really huge.
End Log.

Tamer's Log 15
Combat
So apparently all Digimon are not only capable of combat, they're created (programmed?) with combat in mind. When Digimon evolve they change shape and gain power. Dodomon spat iron sand out as an attack but Dorimon can spit tiny iron orbs.
Things hurt like a dickens too. I tried to get Tetsu out of a bag of chips and he pelted me with a few. They left some welts and if I wasn't wearing a jacket I'm pretty sure they would have broken the skin.
I'm a little scared to be honest. Tetsu is still basically a toddler and he is basically equivalent of a BB gun. What is he going to be able to do when he evolves to Rookie or Adult. Heck, if he gets to Ultimate, what is he going to be able to do. It's a frightening concept. Even worse is that Tetsu is rather docile, I'd hate to see what an aggressive Digimon would do.

Tamer's Log Entry 16
The Digivice
Alright, so when I found Tetsu, no wait, right before I found Tetsu's egg in my bag, I found an odd device in my bag. It's a dark blue device kind of shaped like a fist with buttons on it and an antenna. It's called a Digivice.
It's not exactly the most creative name out there and I wonder about the English name for the device, but whatever, Digimon is not exactly a Japanese word either.
So after Tetsu evolved into his In-Training form, he told me the name and the model name. D-3. He wasn't sure about the model name's origin, but I guess it's the third model or something. Which brings me to the meat of this entry. I found out today that there are other kinds of Digivices.
I met two girls on the roof of school today (and doesn't that just sound like a line from an anime or something) and one of them got a Digivice. It was a different model than mine and A.J.'s (one of the two girls who had a cat blob digimon that Tetsu told me is a Nyaromon) and was apparently called a D-Scanner.
So the appearance of a new Digivice kind of sparked me to experiment with mine. I fiddled with it a bit when I first got it, but other than a map function I didn't really find anything. After further experimentation I have found an additional function.
Sadly it was not from my experimentation but from Tetsu telling me after I threw the Digivice over my shoulder in frustration. When Tetsu had said that the Digivice was the representation of the bond between us, he was not being symbolic, but literal. The thing connects us and it allows Tetsu to Digivolve by accessing that bond. Or something like that. There were a lot of metaphors in his speech.
So it's got a map and can make Tetsu Digivolve. I'll add to this entry if I ever find other functions for the thing.

Tamer's Log Entry 17
Attributes (The Rookie Level)
So Tetsu unlocked another level of Evolution today. He had been mentioning lately that he was feeling a lot stronger lately. I had pretty much ignored it like any boast from a child. He didn't seem any stronger and his little BB shooting thing still stung like a dickens.
So it was kind of surprising when I woke up from my nap and found a large fox thing instead of a small fox thing. Well, he was kind of a large fox thing. He could stand on both two feet and move around on four. He went from being rather blob like to being a lot more animal like. He also went from something that could rest on my head to something that would fill up my entire lap.
So yeah. My Digivice gave a lot more information as well. It now listed an Attribute. DORUmon (his new Rookie form) was a data type. Apparently Digimon came in three attributes. Data, Virus and Vaccine. They had a weird rock paper scissors thing too. Data beats Vaccine, Vaccine beats Virus and Virus beats Data.
Anyways, I was kind of freaking out about lugging DORUmon around and keeping him hidden, but Tetsu glowed and returned back to being a Dorimon. Apparently as long as he was with me he could switch forms. It took some energy from 'our bond' or something like that and require the Digivice. I dunno, he got all metaphor-y on me again.
Anyways, Tetsu said his senses are a lot stronger when he's a Rookie, so he wants to head to the Shibuya River again to check on something. It can't hurt to check it out.
