A lovely deceit [Akemi/Kath] [Valentine's event]

A tender smile graced Katherine’s face. This was probably the most calmed moment she had since she had received that kiss on the beach-bed. She had been at ecstasy, confused, sad and more; but she had never felt such feeling of tranquility since then. She finally felt they could move forward on clearing things up inside of them to then understanding what they were to each other. Of course, she still felt this was completely insane. But that didn’t mean she wanted to be away from Akemi for a single second. Most importantly, her heart was finally giving her a break, beating at a regular pace.
The only thing that could bring her back to ecstasy was hearing Akemi saying she loved her, twice. Her love felt good. It felt so damn good.
Her fingers playing with Akemi’s, the curly-haired girl gave a nod to her friend. “Well… that makes sense. I also think it’s better treading on solid ground regarding this, as I try to do with everything. But… at the same time, I think we first need to build that ground to then tread on it.” And what’s a better way of building that ground than doing what they always did best: trusting and relying on each other. Of course, as something… more than friends now.
“Huh. I didn’t realize I was done eating until just now.” Katherine’s green eyes went to her now wiped bento. “Maybe I was too immersed in the conversation." A pause. "It was very good, wasn’t it?” She asked Akemi.
Her arms crossed, the teenager stared at the sea. It didn’t look any different than when she first set foot in ‘Paradise Island’: Absolutely beautiful. “We really shouldn’t swim considering we just had lunch, right?” Katherine’s face wrinkled. That sucked. Her countenance then changed into a more joyful one as she turned back to face Akemi. “Do you feel like going for a walk around the beach?”
If Akemi agreed, Katherine would wash the bentos on the sink (this place even had water pipes and everything!) and placed them back on the infini-store (They didn't want to return an infini-store filled with dirty dishes in it to Amy, right?). The girl would affix her own hat back on her head and the duo would start making their way off the platform. Once they reached the soft, warm sand, they would start walking north. What would they find in this little trip?
“So… I think I want to talk to you about something.” Katherine’s voice had acquired a serious tone. It seemed like it was time to talk about business. Yet still, this would now be done with a different approach on the whole thing. Katherine shyly extended her right hand and reached for Akemi’s left hand. No reason to walk next to each other if they weren’t holding hands, right? Holding hands like a couple still felt a bit weird, of course. But it felt mostly pleasant.

Things had calmed. There were no words that Akemi could muster at the moment that could...convey how happy she was about this. Sure, it felt a little chilly, but at the very least, things had calmed. Her heart had calmed. Her cheeks were kind of sort of still on fire, but everything was...slowing down.
Thank god. "Precisely!" That's what this could do. Taking this whole love thing on together could help pave that solid ground for them. This was easy, considering they were already...very close.
Speaking of, Akemi noticed that Katherine had finished eating. She had not. "I...think I forgot to eat. The food was very good, but the conversation was...well, we both had reason to be immersed in it." Akemi spoke as she moved to finish eating, before she glanced up at Kath. A walk on the beach? "Sure! This...happens to be the prettiest beach I've ever seen. So...Yes, I'd love to walk with you."
Akemi rose and donned her hat once more, waiting for Katherine to conclude washing the bento before she began to walk with Katherine. The girl took a serious tone of voice with her, so Akemi felt it was only appropriate to respond in kind. "I'm all ears. What do you want to talk about?" Akemi had to admit, she was plenty curious about what could be spoken of on a walk like this.
The rest of the island, especially on the north, was as idyllic as where they had been spending most of their time. Beach-beds akin to the one they had rested on were present, as were pretty trees. But, as they went ever more north, they'd find...flowers! Flowers of all kinds that you'd find upon an island growing happily upon the ground.
How pretty, huh?

A little beyond their way, a huge bed of flowers could be found. They danced with the blowing wind in a perfectly harmonic manner.
“It’s… beautiful.” Katherine’s green eyes glimmered upon the sight. Paradise Island was a truly magnificent location. “How can these ones grow above the sand? It’s amazing.” Certainly, the Digital World offered some incredible sights. And Katherine loved to enjoy each and every one of them. Especially, with Akemi on her side.
However, this was a moment where she needed to focus on other things. It was true they had come here to enjoy and forget about work (and boy, have they done exactly that.), but she felt Akemi deserved to know every detail of how was her quest going. After all, she had been a part of it, and they had been through a lot. Also, a proposal needed to be issued.
“I wanted to... give you an update on how’s everything going with me since I found Bastian.” Katherine sat over the sand, making a gesture for Akemi to sit next to her. The teenager took a deep breath before starting to talk.
“As you know, when we visited Tayichi’Tai Fortress, our team found a package addressed to Fragment Village, with the name ‘Bastian’ on it. I followed that address and... to sum up a bunch of stuff that happened, I actually found Bastian. I even got a tent for him at our settlement, which he is using as a lab, along with the hideout he already had in Fragment Village. Right now, he’s working on two things: First, he’s trying to decrypt the data of the map he stole from the Dark Army, when he left Paul behind, years ago. Remember? the one Paul told us about back at the restaurant. Just like Paul said, this map leads to the Drum Sanctuary, and it’s basically the only thing the Dark Army is missing to fulfill their goal. They have all the gems right now so, if they get that map, there’s no way of stopping them from whatever they want to do once they reach the sanctuary.”
Katherine made a pause to gather her thoughts and then continued speaking.
“The second thing he’s working on is a way of getting Jazz and I inside the Dark Army’s hideout, back in Terminus. According to him, the key they gave him when he was a ‘member’ has been discontinued and can’t be used to get there. However, he says that, with lots of effort, he might crack the code on that old key for us to enter their hideout.” Again, a pause ensued. Probably Akemi knew where she was going with this already. “Once he’s done with that, I’m going in, to get back all the gems at once.” A firm gaze was thrown in Akemi’s direction. There was not a single vestige of doubt in Katherine’s visage.
“Amy is going with me. But the Dark Army is strong. Very strong.” Katherine tightened her grip in Akemi’s hand. “And we concluded we need… at least one more member for our team. And I can’t think of anyone I trust more than you and Anzu for this.” After all, it was no secret Akemi had no remorse in getting in dangerous situations, right? At least, this time, Katherine would get to be at her side.
Of course, only if she accepted.
“I know it’s going to be dangerous. A-And this is just a… proposal. If you don’t want to come, I’ll completely understand.”

"I guess it's not called Paradise for nothing, hm? Anything's possible in this world, and...I suppose flowers that grow in the sand can be one of those, eheh..." Akemi gave Katherine an especially fond smile, finally squeezing the Spaniard's hand. This island was nothing short of incredible, and...it felt nice to be exploring it like this. She loved it about as much as she loved the girl next to her right now. Though, the latter half of that statement may be...rising. Steadily. Yes.
She had half a mind to try her hand at flirting at the moment, but now was not the time. Akemi took a seat next to Kath with a curious expression on her face, before she listened to this update, with rapt attention. "Yeah, I remember that..." She nodded at the girl after she took the first pause.
So, were they planning an assault upon a part of Terminus? Akemi tilted her head as the explanation continued. She knew exactly where this was likely to head, so she met Katherine's gaze of determination with one of her own. She knew the Spaniard was doubtless. Firm in her resolve.
Akemi had to let her know that she was just as sure of what her response to this was going to be. "I accept. I told you that I wasn't going to leave you alone back then. I don't intend to leave you to face this alone now."
And with that, Akemi tightened her own grip on Katherine's hand. "So, if you're dead set on this--And I know you are, then so am I."

A wholeheartedly smile graced Katherine’s face. Not only it felt amazing Akemi was somehow very aware of what Katherine and Jazz had been through and all of the things Katherine had told her in the past, but the fact that she was willing to help her assault the Dark Army’s hideout in Terminus without even considering it, filled her with joy. It made her feel… loved.
For a second, she thought about asking her if she was sure. But those eyes were telling her everything she needed. In the end, Katherine would do the same for her. And a lot, a lot more, at that.
Katherine’s gaze escaped Akemi’s. She couldn’t look at those beautiful eyes for too long, or it would be hard to concentrate on the current topic.
The green-eyed teenager let out a sigh. Now… the second part of her proposal. Akemi just wouldn’t think that was it, would she?
“Jazz and I… want to surpass our limits. We want to go beyond.” She started speaking again. “As I told you earlier, there’s something bothering Jazz. Something that doesn’t let her go back to her Lopmon form. I think it’s a mixture of frustration and anxiety.” Looking a bit preoccupied, she raised her view, looking at the blue sky. “I think that’s exactly what’s keeping her from reaching the next stage in her evolution process. I really haven’t told this to her yet. Mainly because I think it wouldn't help her at all right now.” It was easy to see this was something that had been troubling the Spaniard for a while.
“But… Bastian told us about an alternative to becoming stronger.” Her green irises went back to her lover. “Have you heard about… DNA evolution?” It was likely she had. But it was very possible she hadn’t, too. Yet still, Katherine went on with the explanation anyways. “Apparently, it consists of two digimon fusing to create a new digimon, known as a ‘Jogress’. The characteristics of the resulting digimon are a mixture of each fused digimon’s traits. However, it’s power level is way beyond the two original digimon.” Maybe it was, once again, obvious where she was going with this.
“I think working along someone else can help calm Jazz down and let her reach a new stage, even if it’s through fusing herself with another digimon.” Unlike the first part of her proposal, Katherine herself didn’t seem too sure about this one. Maybe she just wasn’t sure if it would work. “I think Jazz sees Anzu as a friend, but also as a worthy opponent. It is likely she would agree on fusing with her. Being that Anzu is so strong, I believe they could reach a form with an astonishing amount of power.”
A pause ensued.
“I haven’t really told you this, but…” It was the right time, wasn’t it? ... It was hard, though.
“… Not long after we first met back at the restaurant… one of the Dark Army’s members almost killed Jazz and me. His name is Luke. He's the stronger digimon I've seen so far. He crushed Jazz without even giving her a chance to react. It’s a miracle we got out of there alive.” Up to now, this was something only Amelie knew. And there was a reason for that. “I believe that’s what got Jazz all frustrated. Being unable to protect me. And I can't help but think... if that's what a single member of that army can do, could there even be stronger guys waiting for us there?” The girl's tone of voice turned a melancholic Sad, even. "Jazz is not the only one who feels... frustrated. I also couldn't do anything to protect her back then, and now I can't even help her evolve. If we get to Terminus and something bad happens to her I..." Katherine's eyes were slowly filling up with tears. She couldn't even finish that sentence.
Another pause. “I want us to be prepared for whatever can be waiting for us at Terminus." Katherine turned her head back to Akemi, pressing her lips to refrain from crying. Even if teary, her eyes showed determination, once again. "So… I would like us to try DNA-Evolving Jazz and Anzu, to reach a higher power level. I’m not sure if it’ll work but, if it doesn’t, we can always try something else, right?”

That couldn't be all, could it? Akemi felt like she knew Katherine enough to tell that she couldn't be done with just that. So, she opted to listen to what she had to say next. That...smile, that pretty smile was distracting, though, so she needed a moment or so to focus. Her hand once more squeezed Katherine's.
Akemi was aware that something had been up with Jazz. This was...something that had been an issue since the matter with the two cities. And it had to be something glaring to have lasted this long. "I don't think it'd help her insecurities either, really...Anyways." She began. "I've heard of this. Anzu told me about it--there were two people she used to know that were capable of it. Powerful people, at that. It's primarily built off the bond between the two people performing the DNA digivolution, so the stronger it is, then the stronger the result."
...Was she suggesting Anzu and Jazz fuse? What would that even create? Akemi was for this idea, but she had to consider the semantics behind it. Jazz did see Anzu as a rival, yes, but Anzu...Akemi was certain that Anzu saw Jazz as a friend. A really cute friend. Not quite the same.
But, it was still worth a shot. Akemi raised an eyebrow as Katherine segued into her next topic. Something she hadn't told her? What? Horror briefly...crept onto her face as Katherine revealed that not long after they had met...Both she and Jazz almost died. This was the source of Jazz's current woes.
Akemi slowly moved to pull Katherine into a hug. Being nearly killed by a Digimon strong enough to practically flatten Jazz? This could not have been easy to talk about, whatsoever. And just...admitting this? That...that took something. She released her, quickly, before she spoke once more. "It's...It's reasonable to think that. And it's reasonable to want to be prepared for whatever might be waiting for you there. So...While I'm just as uncertain as you towards if this will work? I'm willing to give it a try. Plus, we could learn a thing or two about DNA evolution itself, considering Anzu didn't...tell me anything specific about it."
And as she spoke, she made a quiet resolution to herself. She'd kill this Luke fellow with her bare hands if she ever had to meet him.

It was a good thing to have Akemi complementing the info she had offered. After all, this technique was still a mystery to Katherine, so any extra insight she could get was very valuable. “That’s… very interesting.” Akemi would soon notice every time she learned something new about the Digital World, Katherine’s eyes showed a certain glimmer. Of course, Undying Curiosity was to blame for that. Katherine just let out a sigh as she wrapped her arms around Akemi. Well, that certainly helped. Could their bond, as tamers, also be important for the DNA Evolution to happen? After all, Jazz had proved to evolve in the moments Katherine showed determination towards her resolve, even in different circumstances. Well, if that was the case, Akemi and Katherine’s bond seemed to be as strong as it could be right now. Not a second after she was released, her arms looked to hug the shorter girl again. Just… a bit longer. With a reassuring nod, Katherine accepted Akemi’s words. This was a trial and error thing. But something good could come out of it, no doubt. Yet, still… she needed to say something else. “Thank you.
I love you.”The uncertainty of what might be waiting for them at Terminus was hard to deal with. But whatever was there, Akemi would be at her side, and that was more than enough to keep on pushing forward. After all, the biggest fight of her life was waiting for her in that city. So it was nice to know she had the right allies. And speaking of the right allies…! “Do you feel like going back? I left my D-terminal back with my clothes at the hut. I would like to text Amy and see how she’s doing with her date.” The green-eyed giggled. “She told us to go check on her once we were done right? It is possible she didn’t have high hopes for the whole thing.” It would be nice to see if they had to go and make a save to get her friend out of an awful date, right? Of course, only if Akemi agreed on this. If she did, they would be back at the hut in some minutes, not after taking a walk back through the beach, holding hands. This was just... perfect. Katherine didn’t want this day to end. Ever. Once they arrived at the hut, Katherine would take a seat next to the bar, after picking a random bottle and pouring one more drink for her and one for Akemi. This one had a bright-orange tonality and it tasted even better than the last one. It also probably had more alcohol. The Spaniard started texting Amy through her D-Terminal. What would she get from this?

She saw it. She saw that glimmer in Katherine's eyes. Was this Undying Curiosity itself? "Indeed, it is. Vague as it is, it makes you wanna go and learn more about it, doesn't it?" Akemi wasn't sure if it was. That was the first time she had ever caught it, but...knowing now what that glimmer could signify?
It was interesting. It was very interesting.
The bonds a tamer fostered between themselves, their peers, and their digimon were all instrumental towards one thing. Evolution. A path forwards. There was a lingering doubt in Akemi's mind, though. What of her bond with Anzu? From what she had seen, she had been capable of evolving on her own from the get-go, perhaps up to Ultimate. Yet...Why not any further?
...No. They'd need to push further than that. They had to if they wanted to help Katherine survive what might be the fight of their lives. Akemi returned the hug after Katherine had given her one of her own. And this time, she gave her something more. The girl moved to kiss the Spaniard on the cheek.
...That was more than a little bit awkward for her, likely! "I...um. I love you too." Akemi told Katherine (was she ever going to get used to saying it?) as she pulled back from the hug. Going back? "You know what? Yeah, I'm kind of curious too. She put us up to this, so...It's only right we check up on her, you know?" Who knows if they would have to save her from a awful date or something?
That'd definitely be a first for her, too. First date, then going to save her friend from a date. Here's hoping things wouldn't come to that. The walk back was just as peaceful as the entire day had been, and...She was okay with that. Once they had actually gotten back to the hut, Akemi took her place next to Katherine and fancied a sip of the the drink she poured for her.
...She liked it. She liked it a lot. "...Hey, have you tried this one? It's great. What's she saying?" Akemi did know it was a little rude to read over someone's shoulder.

Was Akemi… actually starting to understand a bit of how Undying Curiosity worked? Feeling like she was, made Katherine very happy. But... probably not happier than feeling that soft kiss on her cheek. The Spaniard blushed and lowered her gaze. Her heartbeat pace fastened again.
Back at the hut, she scooted towards Akemi, getting close to her, after hesitating for a bit. Somehow, when she was next to her, Katherine's desire for doing certain things was bigger than her embarrassment and shyness. Which was honestly a good thing.
It was also the first time that happened to her. Usually, her coyness and overthinking turned into refrainment. But with Akemi… it was different. For some reason, she had a lot of trouble avoiding to do the stuff she just wanted to do so much. Even if the alcohol probably had helped with that before, there was also something else about it. She just couldn’t quite place what it was.
Katherine took a sip from Akemi's straw, trying her drink. She let out what some could call a very adorable gasp. "It is! It's very good. That's not fair... I like your drink better than mine." Akemi's cocktail had a dark-green color, and it was simply delicious.
In any case, Katherine placed her D-Terminal in front of the two, so Akemi could read what they were talking about. She usually hated people spying on her conversations but she actually wanted Akemi to see this. Huh. She started realizing it was true what they said; love does funny things to you.
‘I didn’t wire the infi-Store, I swear’ appeared on the screen, scratched.
“She… what?” Oh, God. She was kidding… right? Katherine turned her head to Akemi, looking for reassurance.
She was kidding, RIGHT?
Amy wouldn’t spend her own date spying on them… right? Even if the chances were that she wasn’t serious, the blue-eyed was as unpredictable as they came so…
Katherine decided not to answer anything to this. It was too risky. If it was a joke, Amy would probably suspect there was something going on if she answered too seriously, and if it wasn’t… then she was done for.
In any case, time to make another proposal...
“Are you free tomorrow?” She turned her head, facing Akemi. “I think we should bring Amy here. The three of us could spend some very-much-needed time together and also bring Jazz and Anzu to try making them DNA – Evolve.” The same proposal would be thrown at Amelie through Tamernet if Akemi agreed.
“Only if you’re okay with that, of course.” Katherine’s green irises avoided meeting Akemi’s brown eyes. They were too close to each other right now and she might end up doing something embarrassing if she stared at them for too long. The Spaniard let out a sigh.

She got closer to her. Akemi's heart started to race a bit at that. Gosh, what was with both of them today? Was the alcohol really this...strong? There was so much she wanted to do right now, but where to begin? Sharing the drink, obviously. "You do? ...Share it with me, then!" Akemi insisted! "We have more either way, and...Honestly I'm okay with it, too." She added, before she took another sip from the drink.
As the girl began to read with Katherine as she spoke to Amelie, she found herself idly leaning against the girl and trying to rest her head on her shoulder. Of course, she caught the struck-through statement, and jolted upright. "She WHAT." Said at the same time as Katherine. Though much more shocked.
There was a brief moment of silence from Akemi, before she mumbled something that Kath could clearly hear. "She gets off on her friends' feelings for each other? How depraved...." She might have been about to say something else, before Katherine had managed to get her attention once more. "I...actually am free, yes." Plus, a chance to come back here?
That was definitely not something she was going to pass up for anything. "Yes! We should definitely do that, it'd be like killing two birds with one stone!" The girl was grinning ear to ear, and was staring right into those eyes of Kath's. "...Should we bring our swimsuits, though?"

“You… mean that?” Unable to contain it, a slight blush took over Katherine’s cheeks. She was new in doing stuff like sharing drinks with someone she liked, as much as she was new at liking someone, at that. “O-Okay.” She nodded, taking another sip from the cocktail. This was… nice. Even if it was completely a completely unexplored ground for her.
Katherine’s eyes widened up upon hearing Akemi’s mutter. She slowly turned her head towards the shorter girl. A nervous chuckle escaped her. Wait, was this a joke? She hoped it was! Or could it be that…? “You… really think that?” If so, they might have discovered something new about Amelie!
Nah. It was likely everything was a lie to get info out of her. She hoped it was, at least.
In any case: good news! Apparently, everyone was free tomorrow, so the three friends could have their long-awaited reunion. “I think Amelie is free too.” Katherine stated, reading the words written by her friend on her D-Terminal’s screen. “Yes, we should bring our swimsuits." Katherine nodded, slowly taking her eyes away from her D-Terminal. "The sun is setting soon and the temperature is going down, so I think we won’t be able to get in the water today. So we definitely should do it tomo…” While she spoke, Katherine had turned to face Akemi, who was not only very close to her, but also showing her an ear-to-ear grin. The Spaniard just fell lost for words as she stared into the girl’s eyes.
Silence. Not an awkward one, hopefully. Just… Katherine needed a moment to actually admire Akemi’s beauty. She was very pretty. The image of the sunset closing in behind her while she smiled to Katherine made her feel like this was everything she needed. Forever.
Were it because of the alcohol or because of her inability to control her instincts when she was with Akemi, some words just escaped the green-eyed.
“You look… very pretty when you smile.”

"O-Of course I do! Why wouldn't I be honest with someone I love?" Akemi puffed her cheeks, almost a little comically, before she took a sip from the cocktail. She looked a bit embarrassed, but at the same time there was a kind of...glimmer in her eyes. It wasn't unlike the one that defined Undying Curiosity. It was actually similar.
She gave Kath a very, very serious look. "Either she is, or she's lying. She did lie to get us over here..." The girl mumbled. "Or she really is some weird pervert..." What was truth and what was lies? The answer escaped the girl at the moment. It was nice to hear that everything appeared to be set in stone for tomorrow.
Swimsuits, swimming, and trying to get your partners to DNA digivolve with each other. Sounds like a nice start to a love-filled ship, huh? The girl was quick to take note of a silence that descended upon the room. It was kind of cold--but also offset by the fact that the alcohol was making her feel all kinds of warm.
And on top of that? Katherine's words made her blush. She looked kind of like a tomato right now. A slightly inebriated tomato. "T-That's a nice compliment coming from the literal cutest girl in the world..." Akemi mumbled, looking away from Kath some before she practically sprang forward to pull the Spaniard into a hug for the umpteenth time. "I think you're like a work of art that's also the best friend I could ever ask for. A-and more, too!"
...She had no idea what kind of stuff she was saying. Again. But, it...at least felt correct to her. To top it all off? She went to kiss Katherine again. On the lips.
Alcohol's pretty crazy.

Just hearing Akemi saying that she loved her was something hard to get accustomed to for Katherine. It didn’t make it any less heartwarming, though. The Spaniard blushed, and her eyes escaped Akemi’s while she took another sip of the drink. For a second, she caught that glimmer in Akemi’s eyes. What was that? Well, the shorter girl was right about something: Amelie was one cheeky friend! So they shouldn’t put it pass her to be lying just like she did to get them together. Katherine had considered this before, so it didn’t come as a big surprise to her. “Yes. I definitely think she said that to trick us.” Maybe she had managed to outsmart the French girl this time around? Hopefully she did! It would be a change of events, no doubt. After saying her own embarrassing comment, Katherine went back to her D-Terminal to set in stone everything with Amelie again. Naturally, Akemi could read everything she was saying. Suddenly, she was distracted by Akemi’s words. “Y-You can’t possibly mean that!” The teenager blinked while trying to get her gaze away from those brown eyes. Staring at those for too long normally made her say or do embarrassing stuff! Katherine loved being called cute. But being called cute by Akemi? That was even beyond loving. It made her feel amazing. The Spaniard received her lover’s hug without any trouble, wrapping her arms around her too. Giving that they had already set up everything for tomorrow, it seemed like the only thing left to do was… enjoying the rest of this date as much as possible. Akemi had taken the first step towards that, no doubt. Katherine would tell Jazz what they were doing tomorrow once she got back to Bastian’s tent. She would then think about how to make Jazz and Anzu fuse into a single digimon tomorrow. However, none of that mattered, right now. Third was the charm, right? She really had to outperform herself this time around! With the experience of the last two kisses, Katherine corresponded Akemi’s kiss with a long, soft one. Her lips moving around the shorter girl’s probably denoted some improvement regarding her clumsy past performance. What was the cause of this? Maybe it was the experience gained throughout the last two kisses. Maybe it was the alcohol, getting rid of all of her insecurities. Maybe it was her own self accepting her feelings for Akemi and just trying to coexist with them, fueled by the desire of always having Amaya close to her. Impossible to know right now. She was just going to enjoy the rest of this moment. For as long as she could. Forever, if it was possible.

Whether or not the deceit would work on Amelie would need to wait until they actually saw her in person. Neither of the girls could afford to underestimate the cheeky frenchwoman. Akemi made some effort to read through the rest of what was being said over Tamernet, but...
...Things were getting a little blurry, so she had to resign actually remembering everything to Kath. Speaking of? "...Why would I not mean that? It's...It's true. Every time I look at you, I think my heart kind of...skips a beat. It flutters. Every time you smile, I think things get a little brighter than they used to be."
Alcohol or not? Akemi felt like she was pouring her heart out, here. Pouring out how she felt. She wasn't sure how it made Katherine feel, but if anything had been learned over the course of this date? Perhaps Akemi had made a lonely girl feel as though she was the queen of the world.
And she was okay with that. She was okay with this. This moment. This kiss. All of this. Akemi closed her eyes and let Katherine hold her.
There was a great many things that the girl had felt today. There were a great many things that she still had to come to terms with. There were possibilities and impossibilities alike in what had transpired today, but if there was anything that was set in stone?
Akemi Amaya had no doubts about her love for one Katherine Jasso. She had no doubts they would go on to do great things. But for now? They had to enjoy themselves as the sun went down. Today already felt like forever.
So, what's a little more?
