The slow hike toward the shrine as finally come to end. The massive door of the crystal decorated black stone building opened slowly, revealing solemn, yet very romantic arrangement. There are many flowers in potted plant. They doesn't smell that sharp, neither they smelled too faint. It's soft, as soft as their colors under the light of chandeliers and glowing crystal. Hikaru guided the rest of the party... not toward the the rooftop, but to deeper section of the ground floor. As they goes, they would find a red carpet heading to the courtyard. Flower petals scattered on the on the ground. Hikaru honestly felt a bit confused. It's a bit too extravagant for his style... what's going on? But... at that time, the door to the courtyard opened, and the row of guests revealed itself. They're mostly friends. Haku and Jill is playing the music, accompanied by hired bands. Hikaru's eyes moistened as he saw the projectile playing moments of him together with his beloved 'mon and friends. He tried his best to not cry, but... "Hey if you cry right now you'll mess up in the vow, GAHAHAA!" That laugh... "Stay strong, danchou-dono, lest you made an embarrassment of yourself in this very special day, ~de gozaru." That tone... "Hmmhmm, someone new like me only can say... 'it's OK to cry, but probably best to hold it'?" That cheekiness behind that usual line... Hikaru looked around, finding a Toyagumon, a Hawkmon playing accordion along with the rest of the music player and... a Floramon? The last one smiled meaningfully at him while gently touching her lip with her flower petal inn a sign that she's letting out more today for special reason. The Toy Agumon approached him and pat him on the back. "Before you can say 'how'... let's just say fate plays nicely, yeah?" "I'm glad all of us can reunite in your special day!" the Hawkmon commented. "I never thought that you're the first to tie the knot, but the more we know, eh?" He can no longer hold it in. The fox dragon Digimon sobbed, He wished that his friends are here, with him. He thought that wish was too much... but here they are... here, everyone is with him. He looked behind, finding Valt trying to play it cool, but it looked like he know. Kon-chan and Warg just smiled at him. "...You bastards... heh..." Holding back his sniffles, Hikaru wiped his tears. Hopefully that wasn't too much of a shameful display. |

Logan smiled at his sisters. "I see, good to hear. If you need my help in anything, feel free to give me a call and I'll do what I can. I think I need to dust up on my skills too..." the Logamon looked at his claws with a little blush on his face. "I haven't been in combat or even trained for it for a while. I should probably change that... heck if I know how I even evolved to Champion" he finished with an awkward chuckle. But he hadn't been completely idle though. "Well, while Tadao's been studying, I've been studying too, all about the human world and how they thrive. And I've been curious about how this knowledge could be of use to the digital world..." he was just about to nerd out about his knowledge about crop rotation for example, but probably not the most ideal subject to speak to his newly met sisters at their parents' wedding about. So he just finished with a little grin. Not long after that, the party arrived at the doors of the temple. Owen gasped at the majesty of it. The great crystal doors opening to reveal a scene of celebration, with flowers and many shining crystals as decoration. It was like a fairy tale. The flower petals, the music, the projected images of photos of Hikaru and himself in their most cherished moments with each other and their family and friends. The photos laid an impact on most of them. Luke and Bellamy realized why Owen had asked them to be his Groomsmen at the photo of the three of them sharing a merry drink in Rustport. Brad realized the same at the photo of himself and Owen, arms over each other's shoulder, as they remembered the 7/71st. Logan held back a sob of joy at their first family portrait, himself as an Offmon being held by Owen, Hikaru at his side. Then more family photos appeared, the first one with Bezil having him as a Dorimon seated on Hikaru's lap. The images continued, each one of them making the Gaomon realize that this was the right thing for them - their family and friends were wonderful, and they were right to bond and celebrate for it.
There was even the recently taken picture of them in Rosewood - Owen with Bezil, Bu and Fuu in their home. The Gaomon wondered how that had been obtained, but supposed there was a lot of background effort he didn't know about, so let that thought go for now.
Owen looked at those that caught their attention. A ToyAgumon... he seemed familiar somehow. Was he another from that island so long ago? The Hawkmon too... even the Floramon, but his memories weren't strong enough to name them. He recognized those in the band though. He waved at Haku, then quickly identified the Strabimon as his daughter. Oh, man, he had so much to catch up with! Clearly they meant something to Hikaru though, so Owen waved back at them. He then turned to Hikaru, putting an arm around him proudly. "They're all here, my love. I'm so happy" he said, finding himself unable to stop smiling. As for the others in the party, Colin, Nik, Skye, Hickory, Jorge, Tadao, Logan and Bezil took their seats in audience, inviting Bu and Fuu to do the same. Luke, Bellamy and Brad meanwhile took their places to the right of the altar in their roles as Owen's groomsmen. "Well then... let's get married eh?" Owen said to Hikaru, eager to begin. |

The twins both gave Logan a nod in empathy. "Yes, um...We barely even remember how we got to Rookie, ourselves. Plus, we've also only been in one fight...Well, I have. Bu's fought plenty, and over dumb stuff, too. I guess it just happens after a while." Fuu uttered. "I think that stuff could be good to cross-reference with particular facets of the digital world, but that's just me."
As the ceremony began, the twins could do not much but remain silent as each photo came and went.
They recognized themselves, and were actually quite a little moved. Fuu even found herself with tears in her eyes as she kind of...had a realization. Well, another one she had had before. This was where their family was. This was their home. The duo then scrambled to their seats, ready for the ceremony to begin!

Hikaru nodded and smiled at Owen. Although he still feel like crying, he wiped off the leftover tears and heads toward the altar, where Yuuki in formal clothes is waiting. Come to think of it, Digital World doesn't really have marriage registration doesn't it? But somehow Yuuki made one anyway. He guess it's more to a symbolic one rather than a real one.
"Bastard, you're the one who planned all of this, don't you?" Hikaru accused cheekily. Of course he meant this in good natured way.
"I just want to wipe off that cheeky grin off your face for this one. You're often unflippable when it comes to stuff like these, so... I thought, 'hell, why not?'" Yuuki replied with the same grin on his face.
"I swear I'll reverse this on your marriage day."
"Try me, mate."
"Heh!"
Those interaction managed to fish few chuckles from the invitees. Regardless, the ceremony must start.
"Ladies and gentlemen, today we're here as witness to joyous union of two of our dear friends, Hikaru of KIZNA and Owen of 7/71st. As one of the groom said he doesn't want this to be prolonged any further, so I won't talk a damn lot... but maybe I'll talk longwindedly to give him a taste of how he always talks like this whenever I just want a short reply---"
Laughter rose from the audience, some clapped at the little jab Yuuki did. Hikaru laughed the loudest.
"Ahem... So... today, this canine and fox dragon will finally formalize their wedding. After six kids, whew. Ryouta you owe me 5000 bits. He said it'll be four until they finally tied the knot. I was like 'Nah mate, it'll be like six before then'. You know how much handholding they do."
"Ha, screw you mate!"
More laughter at that. Some fakest gasps could be heard from the audience.
"Well, I think I'll tone down the humor because this is kind of out of character for me. So... Hikaru... It's been a while that we have been together... I don't remember most of it, but ultimately, this bond is real, and you're more than just a family to me. In this one of the greatest moment of your life, you're finally finalizing your marriage to your soon husband to be. For that first I offer my congratulations.
Well then... Hikaru... do you, in health, in sickness, in joy, in sadness, in this life and until 'Hikaru' expire, vow to love Owen, to support him, to tread this adventure, nay, journey called 'life' as husbands, til it's time to part?"
"I do."
"Owen, my partner might have no parents, so I'll stand in for that part. My partner might be the one of the most blabbermouth and I'm poking fun at it even as I blabber about the vow... he might be vain, he might be a bit 'on your face' sort... but even then, do you promise, in health, in sickness, in joy, in sadness, and until 'Owen' expire, vow to love Hikaru, to support him, to tread this journey called 'life' as husbands, till it's time to part?"

Logan gave a smile at that. "Well, let's meet up after today and we can work something out, maybe? I'd love to get to know my sisters better for one thing."
Then the ceremony began in earnest. Colin, Luke, Bellamy, Nik, Brad, Skye, Hickory, Jorge, Tadao, Logan and Bezil took their places, either in the audience or to the side in positions of honor as the wedding began.
As Owen looked up at the temple altar, he saw none other than Yuuki. He was a little surprised to see that he was officiating, but still, the Gaomon recognized that Yuuki knew more about weddings than most digimon, and would thus accept this. He grinned at their little banter.
"Okay, so are we doing this or what?" Owen asked, eager to begin the proceedings. So far as he knew, the marriage involved stating an oath of love to the one he wanted to be his partner for life. And he was rather eager to see how this would be done.
A few of those present were paying close attention. Namely that Bellamy and Luke both had individuals they'd like to perform this ceremony with, and they were excited to see what it involved. So far, they noted that the emblem of KIZNA and the emblem of the 7/71st Recon were present all around the hall on banners. That was a pretty flashy start in their opinion.
Those on Owen's side of the aisle laughed along with those on Hikaru's at Yuuki's levity. Those present enjoyed this. Colin noted that this was the first wedding he had ever attended. Nik was glad to be at the first wedding between two males that he had attended. And their digimon partners and friends were happy to just watch as things went along.
Then came the vows. Owen was a little startled that they begun so quickly. He thought he'd have to make an oath of love of his own, but, as he heard Yuuki ask the question that if Hikaru wanted to be his mate for life, and hearing him say "I do" without hesitation, that made the Gaomon forget all of the words he was probably going to fumble anyway, and instead, his yellow eyes stared with adoration into Hikaru's red ones.
Yuuki then asked Owen if he was willing to fulfil the same loving oath for life. To this, Owen gently held Hikaru's paws, stroked them until Yuuki finished, and when he was sure that the oath of love had been made, the blue dog digimon spoke clearly.
"I do." he said.

"With that I proclaim you two husbands. For the bracerbearers, please step forward."
Haku was first to drop his instrument, and walked toward the altar. On a black and gold cushion is a bracelet. The bands are black, made out of high quality leather. Its clips designed to be resilient and damage resistant, the same as the jewelry part. It's a golden, sizable, brooch-like jewelries. The main gem are ruby, made to be shaped like Hikaru's forehead interface. Five smaller gems are attached to the outer ring. Alexandrite. It shines purple and green under light. Hikaru feel that this is a proper representation of his light element.
And he picked it giddily.
"My dear, it's been a while since our reunion. I was deleted, and gone from this world for more than a year... yet without fail you keep waiting for my return. A true loyalty like that... I don't think I have returned it enough just yet. But I'd like to change that. Husband dearest, our journey as husbands now began, and with that I offer you a bracelet as proof of this new link. Until the day I cease to be, my heart will always be yours."
And then, slowly, he put it on Owen's left wrist. Hikaru brings his beloved's paw to his lips and kissed it. Haku cannot help but to grin widely. Even the normally cold faced Jill looked content. Did she just wiped a tear off? Let's not tease her about it though.
Hikaru poked on the gem, and it opened up, revealing a small projector. Looks like he meant to take family pictures and put it in here, so Owen can enjoy seeing the photos inside.
"...If it doesn't exceeds 2TB I think you can put all of our photo album here." Hikaru teased.

Owen found himself frozen after he had agreed to those vows. All he could do was await the next stage of the ceremony, which of course was the exchange of bracelets.
To the humans in the audience, namely Colin and Nik, they recognized this as a little off tradition compared to their ceremony, which involved rings, but, they accepted the difference in all this. Digimon didn't have human fingers after all.
Owen looked at the bracelet with wide eyes, astonished at the beauty of the gems it held, and the significance of each stone was not lost on him. With that, he was glad that he accepted the advice of Luke and Skye in his own wedding gift in return, and was somewhat pleased that the effort he had made was worth it in the end. Yes, it had been difficult to procure this bracelet, but, now, Owen was certain that it was worth it. He gasped at the revelation it held so many memories of them, but grinned at what it revealed. So many wonderful memories preserved, it was wonderful.
The Gaomon listened to Hikaru's words, and a smile was almost permanently branded to his face at its sincerity. Owen had indeed stayed loyal to the digimon that had brought him the most joy anyone could have ever experienced. And in this moment, Owen thought it was right.
After the bracelet was fixed to his arm, the other bracelet-bearer proceeded forward. Bezil carried the piece of jewellery on a velvet pillow, then stopped and raised it for his fathers.
This bracelet was a ring of solid gold, encrusted with amber, citrine and sapphire gemstones. Amber representing eternal life, Citrine representing joy, and Sapphire representing divine favour. Owen picked it up, then gently slipped it on to Hikaru's wrist.
"My darling..." the Gaomon began. "Since the moment I met you, you've been my light shining in darkness. Every difficulty, every uncertainty I have felt in this life... the happiness I feel when I look upon you washes it all away. I love you, with every ounce of my spirit. I pledge all of my devotion for you, for the rest of my life. I promise to raise the children we have and will create in future with as much love as I have for you, and, I, Owen, accept you, Hikaru, as my husband."

It went without saying that the twins had never seen a wedding before, only read about it. So, as this all went on, they could only really watch with growing...awe as their parents stated their vows, silent as a sleeping mouse. There was a lot to take in, too. Stones. History. Familial history at that.
They cared about each other. They loved each other even when one was dead. Gone. Fuu wondered if she was capable of doing the same. Bu was actually shocked at the year-long deletion bit. Then again, all Digimon differed in some shape or form...
With the acceptance of each other as their spouses, the twins began to applaud them. Is that what they were supposed to do? They didn't know, but did they care? The answer was no. No they did not.

To say that Hikaru is happy is definitely understating it by such way that it doesn't even give it a justice. He was absolutely ecstatic. This elation inside his heart almost threatened to form tears on his eyes yet again. Ah darn. He can't keep on like this. It was threatening to fell when he saw his youngest children clapping on his vow. He really need to spoil them rotten after this.
"You may kiss the groom," Yuuki finally said.
And he did. Hikaru knows that he doesn't have the regular mouth like human, so their kisses must be in form of wolf kisses of gently nibbling and licking one another's snout. After a few good seconds of doing so, Hikaru walked to the altar and pulled a wine.
"SO WHAT ARE YOU GUYS WAITING FOR? IT'S TIME TO PARTY!"
Cheers and applause erupted. The workers appeared with banquets of foods and tall wedding cake. The chairs on both side quickly put on the sides and changed into dining tables. It's a banquet, that's for sure, albeit one with buffet theme. Hikaru hugged his significant other now husband and licks him on the cheek.
"Let's have fun!"
Socializing, dancing and all that... Hikaru first approached his old friends and chatted long. Meanwhile, Jill approached Bu and Fuu with a wine bottle on hand and appetizer.
"I see that I'm not the only daughter of the family. Howdy sisters. Would you like to join me drinking?"

After the vows were made, all that was left was to exchange kisses. Owen did so gladly, gently holding an arm around his husband and leaned down, licking his muzzle in a wolf-kiss. Applause could be heard from all around. Owen's groomsmen Luke, Bellamy and Brad were very impressed. And his children in the congregation also applauded. Bezil did too, putting the velvet cushion on the floor. All were delighted at the outcome of this wedding.
And, so Owen thought, that was it. He had a husband now, he was a husband. He looked down at the armlet again, realizing its significance in his life now. And he was glad to wear it.
As they parted, Hikaru was eager to start the post-wedding party. Owen laughed and cheered his approval. Enough of the formalities, time for some fun!
"Yeah, let's get this party started!" Owen replied to Hikaru at the sentiment. As he said that, Luke and Skye put their plans into motion, quickly directing the musical instruments for the live performance into place, enlisting Bellamy, Brad, Bezil and Logan to help them. Yes, Jill and Haku had already prepared the stage, but the rest of them were prepared for a full live band performance, with all of Owen's friends ready to put their musical input into it.
"Whew, nice stuff, Owen, pal!" Bellamy said, walking up to Owen and patting his back. "You're officially hitched now! How's it feel?"
"Feels like something sure in my life locking into place" Owen replied, frankly. Bellamy chuckled, nodding in understanding.
"Well, we got a whole night of entertainment up for ya, pal" Bellamy continued. "Luke on guitar, me on vocals, Brad on drums, Bezil and Logan even learned the bagpipes for this. Skye's got the violin too, so, this is gonna be a real treat for you all. We've been practicin' for months"
"Wow, really?" Owen asked, astonished. "Heh, thanks, guys, it means a lot to me".
As the temple was gradually transformed for the purpose of a reception, the members of the band got their places set, beginning to practice for the events ahead. Tables were set for the feast that would follow, with the head table being prepared for the married couple to sit. All in all it seemed to be going to plan.

"H-hold on a second, what's this about a-" Fuu began, before Bu just came in like a derailed, oncoming train and cut her off. "NICE, A PARTY." The Ryudamon went to help convert the wedding hall into an appropriate stage for a banquet. Fuu wasn't much for menial work, so she just stuck around to help direct people. After that? The two were approached by a Strabimon. That must have been the daughter they were told about earlier.
"...You must be Jill. We were told about you, um...I'm Fuu. It's nice to meet you." The Dorumon nodded a few times. While Bu was admiring their handiwork in action, Fuu gave her elder(?) sister a nod. "I'd love to. It's a good opportunity to get to know you--I don't really know most of our siblings aside from Logan, Bu and Bezil..."

Hikaru know that he has been voiced it several times that he's serious in asking Owen to walk in this life as husbands... but to think that their friends has prepared for months to prepare for their marriage just made Hikaru all teary.
"Darn it you guys... you're just the best..."
"If you know that, why don't you dance, Pops~?" Haku told his father. "I'm going to gobble some food meanwhile. 'ey bros! Once you finished with playing the music, want to join me noms on some nice morsel? They're delicious you know?"
Considering the Samogaomon already carrying a huge plate full of dishes, looks like he's not going to stop anytime soon. But either way, Hikaru pulled his beloved husband's paw, guiding him toward the dance floor.
"Let's dance then, love. A good song is the one that you can dance to or enjoy to its fullest!"
Meanwhile, Jill pulled a chair beside Fuu. "Not surprising. I haven't been around the other siblings much either. Just Haku." She poured a glass of wine each for the twins. "Not that many know me. I don't think Bezil know about me either. I think Logan knows, but just a bit. Considering that I left the village of beginning before the Swanmons can locate me, that's understandable. Rather than spending time in the village I prefer to find my own parents immediately."

Luke overheard the conversation that was taking place about the band and how long they had been preparing. The Elecmon smiled and looked up at Hikaru. "To be honest, since we heard that you and Owen wanted to marry each other, a lot of us have been looking up to you as role models..." he paused for a moment, worried that he was sounding strange, but, kept his stride for the time being. "I mean, you've formed a stable family, you've got six children, and you love each other very much. With the way the digital world is going these days... seeing you two really makes me and a lot of other digimon smile and look forward to the future, you know?"
Following that, they warmed up their instruments, preparing tonight's entertainment. Bellamy gave a sigh as he took to the back for the first song. It had been a compromise, while he wanted to play vocals for most of the night, their first planned song just worked better as a duet with Skye and his brother.
And it seemed they were just about to start. Owen accepted his husband's paw as they made their way to the dance floor. The Gaomon wondered what the first song would be. He wasn't a very experienced dancer, but, at the very least, he knew how to move with another, and hopefully the first song would be something soft and slow for him to get his bearings. He smiled at his cute fluffy spouse, ready to dance with him. Then the music began, and to his relief, it was a soft piano that opened the tune. Then Skye began to sing her lyrics.
"Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly"
Following this, a gentle bass joined in, as well as a soft drumbeat. Owen began to dance with Hikaru, moving his feet to the beat, not minding that they weren't exactly performing expertly. The Gaomon simply did his best to lead his husband in a simple dance, careful not to tread on his feet. The next vocals were sung by Luke's deeper voice.
"Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared..."
"Beauty and the Beast~"
Skye and Luke were singing simultaneously now. As the song reached the next stage, Bezil and Logan joined in softly with their bagpipes, adding their instruments to the song. Owen found the atmosphere almost magical. He looked into Hikaru's red eyes, realizing the significance of this ceremony today. It was not a light decision, but, in this moment, he knew it was the right one.
All too quickly, the song seemed to come to an end. And as it did, Owen couldn't resist giving another wolf-kiss to his husband to show how much he enjoyed it. As Skye and Luke made the last refrain, they weren't long followed by Bellamy, who took up the position of vocals for the next song.
"Alright! Congrats to the married couple!" the Impmon called. "Now let's all join in! The dance floor ain't just for them! Let's all have a party to remember!"
Bellamy would then sing along to a more lively song, inviting the rest of the guests to join in and have some fun if they wanted. If not, that was fine too. There was plenty of food, drink and festivities for everyone to have a bit of what they wanted.

"Is that so?" Fuu replied to Jill as she accepted the wine. Something that wasn't very known about was that she -did- drink sometimes. Though, unlike Bu, Fuu preferred the finer things. Such as wine. Bu came up and hopped in her own chair, happy to sit by and watch her family have fun.
After all, she wasn't the best dancer in the world, and nobody really needed to see such a horrific sight. Fuu nodded a few times towards Jill. "I see. We never got told who our parents were, considering we left the moment we graduated from that little school they had and evolved to Rookie. We ran into Owen and Bezil by chance while looking at decommissioned Trailmon. It's...a lot less morbid than it sounds, honest." She explained.

...To heard that sort of praise, it made Hikaru's heart flutters slightly. There's just part of him that felt so proud... but mostly, all those pride are aimed at Owen who waited for him loyally. "This guy made it all work," Hikaru pointed at his husband. "Without him I don't think I can make it work myself. If there is anything I'm bad in, it's usually responsibility. I often stretched myself too thin... Balancing between real world and Digital World is really hard, but despite all of that, Owen is still with me, so..." he licked his beloved's muzzle. "He's the best mon a Doru can ask for!"
The first song was Beauty and the Beast, huh? Hikaru watched as Owen started a bit awkwardly, but is soon starting to get used to it. He smiled gently. "By the way," Hikaru whispered. "They singing about beauty and the beast, but I wonder which one of us is the beast?" he teased.
Owen's wolf kiss quickly returned by his husband, who seem to be ready to dance for another one. Hell, he even whipped out his own bagpipe and began playing along, while dancing merrily.
Jill meanwhile stayed on the chair with Fuu, sipping her drink. The taste of wine was sweet, with slight sourness that she liked. "...Decomissioned Trailmon? Excuse me sister, but that sounds like either depressing or quite morbid considering that Digimon rarely dies leaving some sort of carcass... But either way, do continue."
