This is an MPC I did using the prompts "And For Our First Question..." and thru a wildcard "Surprise! It's Me"
I'd like bits for this, please.
The creak of a couch, the click of a pen. "Let's start with laying out the setting, then."
"A simple white room, two couches, and a coffee table. One couch for me, the other couch for the individuals being interviewed. I'm a self insert and the writer's persona-slash-fursona, and also my own character at the same time - though you can call me Tsukiko - and the character I'm interviewing... Well, why don't we start with you introducing yourself?"
Ophelia would blink a bit. She wasn't too sure when she got here - she wasn't sure if she was supposed to even know at all, in fact. All she knew was that she was now here, being interviewed by what looked to be the lovechild of a three-tailed Renamon, a Blue Coredramon (And/or maybe a Dorugoramon? Sometimes the scales of her wings looked purple when the light set in the ceiling hit them just right,) and a Human. Safe to say, very bizarre. And what did she mean by a self insert, or 'persona-slash-fursona'? And them being characters?
Well... Despite her confusion, she had been asked a question, and the situation didn't necessarily seem dangerous at all, so.... "My name is Ophelia, I'm a Spadamon from the Terabyte Mountains!" She'd chirp, nose idly sniffing the air, before wrinkling it. This room was really sterile - she wasn't sure what to make of it, and it made her think of how sterile Holly's room tended to smell. Nonetheless, she would continue with her explanation. "I have a family of five, including myself; My Mom, Dad, and two siblings - Cassandra - or Cassie for short - and Laertes!"
Tsukiko would nod, writing the responses down on a clipboard (Ophelia couldn't help but wonder where she got it, it wasn't there a second ago...) and lounging across the couch as she did, tails idly twitching and a leg swaying. "And what can you tell us about your family, in particular?"
Ophelia would pause for a second at the mention of 'us'.... She'd glance around, as though expecting to see someone else she didn't notice before, but... No, it was just her, as far as she could tell - no other scents, no unusual sounds, nothing... "... Well... My Mom's a Blizzarmon named Gertrude, and my Dad a Panjyamon named Callus. Cassie is a Gomamon-X, too, and Laertes a Strabimon. Cassie's jolly and friendly as hell, and is usually the one who patches me up after fights, though doesn't know her own physical strength... Laertes is quiet n calm like our Mom, very logical, though he's really relaxed, too?"
"Wouldn't calm and relaxed mean the same thing?"
"... Sort of?" Ophelia would think it over for a second. "It's hard to describe. He's not stoic, but he's calm and logical still! Sorta like my Mom, but he's a bit better with emotions than she is."
Tsukiko wrote down a few more notes, nodding. "And can speaking of your mom - Could you tell me a bit about your parents, too?"
"Yeah! My Mom, like I said, isn't quite as good with emotions as Laertes is- she's a wild digimon, so... She tends to be a bit, closed off I guess? I think growing up a wild digimon, unlike Dad, sort of made it harder for her to express herself like we do. But, she still cares about us a lot, and she does have her ways of expressing how she feels - they're just more subtle, and different from what a digimon outside our family would expect, I think. She's also a bit of a strict and rough teacher, but she's who taught me how to fight, and inspired me to fight with weapons, like her with her twin axes!"
And her dad... "Dad.... I don't believe he's a wild digimon, to start?"
"How come?"
"He knows a lot more about the world out beyond the mountains, about stuff like towns and technology, and has tons of stories about the different parts of the world...! He's never really talked about where he comes from, though - Laertes thinks he's hiding or running away from something in his past... Though I don't really know what!" Ophelia shrugged, flopping back on the couch. "All I know is that he's jolly and happy and jokey, and he cares about us a lot, like Mom! He's taught us just as much as Mom has - though he taught Cassie and Laertes how to fight more than me, since Mom was the one teaching me."
Tsukiko nodded again, tails swishing once. "Speaking of mountains... Living in the mountains, what is it like? I imagine it's quite cold, yes?"
Ophelia would nod. "Yeah, the mountains are damn well the coldest place in the Digital World!" She'd remark, thinking to home. "Not many people come up there - and wild digimon usually aren't keen on others intruding upon their territories, so it was just us for the most part. And the cold - even with thick fur, you have to be careful when the weather decides to take a shit on ya. Whiteouts mean that you can't see a thing even a foot in front of your own face, and sometimes the cold can cut thru even your fur, if you stay out in a storm for too long." Her tail would flick a bit, thinking back to Belphemon, and how his very presence had fucked with the weather in the mountains.
"Was it ever lonely, it being just you and your family?"
Ophelia couldn't help but think over the question for a few moments, pondering it. "... It seems kind of lonely now, now that I've got friends, but back then... I think I was used to it being just me and my family. I didn't really feel lonely, I was happy just living with my family, spending time with them... But now that I've got friends? I want to spend time with my friends, too, just as much as I want to spend time with my family."
"How about your friends? Who are they, what do you think about them?"
"Well..." Ophelia paused for a second, wondering where to start. "I suppose first, I could start off with Eris and Kitt! Eris' a lil Gigimon that I once met, out in the Flatlands. She's sort of my rival! Though she has a hard time digivolving past In-Training, even though she's technically capable of doing it. But she's really energetic and knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to let others know it, and she really likes Kitt. Speaking of - Kitt is a Spadamon like me! He's kinda smaller, and a little bit of a scaredy-cat sometimes, but he's like a little bro to me! And he has spirit deep down, especially when it comes to Eris- he likes her a lot, too! Honestly, I hope they can court eachother without any issue, I think they'd make a nice duo like Mom and Dad are!"
"Next, hmm... There's everyone in KIZNA! Ryouta, Valt, Karin, Freya, Holly... there's so many people in there, but they're all great!" Ophelia would perk happily, rolling over to sit upright once more. "Ryouta's fun to spar and cuddle with, Valt's a great teacher - even if I feel he kinda worries about me too much - Karin is great with a brush, Freya seems interesting too, Holly's nice to snuggle with and has really cool parents... There's also Bu and Fuu, I really like sparring and snuggling with them, and their siblings are pretty cool, too! A nice Dorumon that's their little sister - I think her name is Persephone? - sewed this bandana for me!" Ophelia would puff her chest to proudly show off the bandanna, eliciting a chuckle from Tsukiko.
"A very cute bandana," The draconic foxgirl would comment, before thinking for a few moments. "Hm... Your current situation - the Demon Lord situation - what are your thoughts on it?"
Ophelia would think this over as well - pondering about the mission she had, up in the mountains. "... I dunno so much about the other five Demon Lords yet - but Belphemon... I don't know if I necessarily have hard feelings towards them directly, after figuring them out a bit? Like... I'm still kinda pissed they decided to make their home in the mountains I call home, and that their own presence made the weather crazy and whatnot - but it's not something they're able to control either, I suppose?" She crossed her arms a bit, thinking it over further. "I dunno. My feelings about them are split. Cause it does seem sorta involuntary, but then couldn't they have gone somewhere less dangerous in general...?"
"I dunno. Anyhow, I don't feel the same about Leviamon, plain and simple." Ophelia responded frankly, her tail beginning to lash. "For Demon Lords being supposed to be all tempting and whatnot, she just pissed me off. She oughta be Wrath, not Envy - then at least she could eat her heart out when I make mincemeat of her bullshit remarks." She'd snicker a bit as she thought back to it - she still felt good about making her opinions known! She didn't give a fuck if Leviamon was a Demon Lord, that wouldn't scare her from speaking her mind!
It would elicit a chuckle from Tsukiko, though, smiling wryly at Ophelia's enthusiasm. "A very spitfire little lioness, I see." She would comment, before tapping the end of her pen against her lip as she thought. "Next... Lets talk about the notch in your ear, there-" Tsukiko would gesture to Ophelia's left ear, where a notable notch was plainly visible.
Ophelia felt the ear, thinking back some, before she laughed a bit. "I like pretending this was from some big fight, though honestly...? This notch was from an accident while me and Mama were sparring, once." She would admit. "We got a bit carried away, both of us - and Mom accidentally got my ear with one of her axes pretty good - took a small chunk out."
"Did it hurt?"
"Yeah, it hurt like a bitch - but Cassie was there to patch us both back up at least." She'd chuckle faintly - recalling the chaos that had ensued, between her parents making sure she was okay, and Cassie hurriedly preparing a few healing bubbles. "The ear didn't ever quite heal right, but I mean... It doesn't bother me too much. Just is a little tender sometimes," Ophelia would rub the notch a little, shrugging with a wide grin. "It is what it is; and hey, it looks pretty badass, doesn't it?"
"It certainly does, eheh... Though, this does raise a question..." Tsukiko paused for a second, thinking. "... Don't you think that your Mother could take it easy with sparring and training, if getting carried away led to her wounding you like that?"
This question... Made Ophelia frown some. Her tail flicked a bit, and her ears tilted - brows furrowing. It made her think of how Valt seemingly judged how she and Mom did things, and it honestly made her feel put off "It ain't any of your business how we train." She would respond, crossing her arms - suddenly being quite defensive. "And Mom taught me just fine; it worked for her when she was a kid, and it's worked for me, so where the hell's the problem?"
Tsukiko would take a second to think over the question, before rephrasing the question. "Sorry, let me better word this... Why is your Mom so rough, during training and spars?"
Ophelia still was visibly miffed, though she supposed that was less... Judgemental? "... I never really asked, but I think it's because the mountains are a rough place. I gotta be tenacious, I gotta be tough, I gotta be quick on my feet - else if I screw up, or get too exhausted too quickly, well... Screwing up out there can result in death. The mountains aren't gonna be soft to me, so I can't be soft to em either."
"Has this belief served you well?"
Ophelia nodded. "I'd like to think so, I've definitely had my close fights that I've overcome just because I'm able to outlast the other 'mon I'm fighting."
Tsukiko nodded back, continuing to write down on the clipboard. After a few moments of thought, she'd ask "What is you main goal, right now?"
"Right now? ..." Ophelia thought it over, though it didn't take long for her to answer. "... I wanna get strong. I wanna impress my parents, and be big and tough like them! So I challenge myself lots, I keep pushing myself, and I train as much as I can!"
"How are things looking for you, regarding the goal?"
"Pretty good! I think that I'm pretty damn close to reaching Champion, I just need a good push now I'm sure. Then I just gotta reach Ultimate, and show my parents what I'm made of, and make em proud!"
Tsukiko would chuckle as Ophelia fistpumped into the air, jotting down a few more things, before she decided to set the clipboard and pen down. "Well... Lets call it here, then. I've already done quite a bit of writing - and I think I've got a good idea of you, too. Anything you want to say before we finish this?"
"Mm... Not that I can think of." Ophelia would remark, thinking to herself, and leaning back against the couch.
"We'll finish this up here, then. Thank you for having some patience with me, Ophelia."
"Sure! I dunno what the hell this was all about, but at least y'didn't bite my face off."
I'd like bits for this, please.
The creak of a couch, the click of a pen. "Let's start with laying out the setting, then."
"A simple white room, two couches, and a coffee table. One couch for me, the other couch for the individuals being interviewed.
