For somebody who had seemed so calm and confident at first, this girl was making quite a fuss. Why was she so worried about the situation at hand? Why had —and quite suddenly, to boot— decided she cared? This girl was so weird it was perplexing. But then again, this was a pirate they were talking about; those were supposed to be wild cards to a degree, weren't they? This one seemed like it had a particular kind heart, even if she seemed to be playing the tsundere card right now.
"I have no plans on getting killed today, dear." She replied, serenely. "Nor on the foreseeable future. Your worry is flattering, but ultimately unneeded."
A grin was enough proof that this wasn't a facade or bravado; she meant every word she had uttered; being resolute in the face of a situation as 'dire', as that one would probably be enough proof. Now that was actually taken care of, the brunette lazily stretched her limbs. "But. Your offer was very kind. It'd be a tad rude for me to refuse it. I would rather have a more calm conversation over something like a cup of tea, but I guess we'll have to make do."
She whistled as soon as the girl evolved into a nice-looking Fladramon; quite the cheeky gesture, wasn't it? In any case, and with the information she had been given, it was safe to assume Emilhy would be the safest way for her to get atop the tower without compromising her physical safety; sure, she could have evolved and went back straight were Ziggy was, but there was a small problem with the tower not being big or stable enough to withstand her spirit forms, and repeating the accident that ended up with her in this place again would be embarrassing, to say the least.
Thus, the brunette made herself comfortable atop the dragon's back, making sure to hold fast before the digimon began racing across the entrance. With any luck, this haphazardly concocted plan would work out; it was true that there were a lot of things that weren't quite under Amy's control, and she kinda disliked that situation, but... it wasn't like the alternatives were any better.
"How long do you think it'll take us to get there?" With any luck, she'd be able to catch up with David and Ziggy.

The matter about the bomb was something that seemed to worry Lady Leomon deeply, even getting her to the point of being willing to collaborate with Ziggy until that matter was solved. “Let’s find those damn Ganimons!” She yelled, making her way down the stairs, leading the way.
Although ignorance of the blue-eyed true powers was what fueled Emilhy’s heroine instincts, the bottom line was that Amelie had accepted. Now, the Fladramon ran through the scrappy hallways of the junk tower at full throttle, going up the stairs every time she found any. Naturally, her flashy exit of the dump area had made the dragon a quite noisy target, with many Liamon giving chase. In all honesty, it was surprising the digimon’s speed could compete with the lions, although she knew she could not stop or she would get caught.
As she ran through each corridor, Emilhy would keep glancing at each door she passed by, looking for some signal that showed this could be the room she was looking for. “How should I know? You said you might know where the room where they kept the treasure was, didn’t you?” She asked Amelie, raising her voice to be audible through the mess that was the whole structure right now while she went up another set of stairs.
Finally, the Fladramon reached the seventh floor up since she had started running. This one didn’t have a structure composed of a corridor but instead was composed of a giant semi-sphere-shaped room with three doors to each side. From the stairs at the other side of the chamber, two Liollmon entered. As soon as they saw the dragon and Amelie, a bright burst of light engulfed their bodies and they turned into Liamons.
“Get them!” The pair ran Flamedramon’s way aggressively as they opened up their mouths to release a burst of yellow balls of energy. Emilhy could only guess they were made of some burning substance, and she didn’t want to be hit by any of them to find out.
“Hold on tight!” She yelled, taking a leap towards the eastern side of the room and making sure her legs landed on the surface that encompassed the space. As soon as she did, the Fladramon started running through the walls, dodging the bursts of energy coming her way to the best of her capabilities. “This must be it…” Emilhy muttered. Apparently, and based on how the structure of this room was different from the rest, she assumed this was where they kept the treasures. With another leap, she jumped down from the wall and into one of the doors to the sides of the room.
“Where are they!?” The Liamons, disoriented by the smoke caused by their own techniques, yelled from the center of the chamber. “Check all of the doors!”
The room Emilhy and Amelie had entered was fairly small, although full of different items and chests. “It must be around here.” The Fladramon leaned her back backward to drop Amelie softly, before rushing towards the different treasures and start looking. “There must be treasures inside all of the rooms around this sphere.” She noted. It was only a matter of time before the chasing beasts found them.
“An orange chest… An orange chest…” She repeated, carving through the different items just piled around the room as fast as she could. There were chests of all sizes, but they were all of brown, gray or other non-flashy colors. Why was she looking, specifically, for an orange casket?
Once she was done with that pile, Emilhy extended both of her arms, aiming with her gauntlets to both sides and releasing a burst of red energy to open holes in both walls. “Next room!” She was sure all of the rooms around this chamber had treasure chests, so she just had to find the one that had the chest she was looking for.
The Fladramon went right, going through the hole she had just opened and into the next room full of chests. While she carved through this pile, it became evident her time was over. The door behind her was burst open, flying all the way through the chamber and crashing against the wall, to the other side of the pile.
“C-Crap…” Emilhy muttered, stopping her search and turning towards the source of the outburst.
Slowly, all of the pieces involved in this conflict were coming together.
Standing under the doorway that previously held the door she had just destroyed, Lady Leomon was standing, her arms folded. To her right, Ziggy.
“I found you.” She hissed, her eyes widening up. This time, she didn’t sound that angry but… more like absolutely determined to hunt this prey and get rid of her immediately.
“T-There’s another human, Lady Leomon…” One of the Liamon behind her noted, looking at Amelie. From the floors down below, at least another five Liamons entered the room. “You told me your friends weren’t involved in this.” Sounding evidently angered, Lady Leomon glanced at ModokiBetamon by her side. “Is this one of your friends? She asked, referring to the French girl.
Completely indecisive about what to do, Emilhy glanced at both sides, standing some meters away from the Leomon. Maybe this would be the perfect moment for the rest of the group to negotiate, somehow.
“I was really hoping you didn’t. But I guess there’s not much to do now…” A wisp of fire started dancing around one of the Fladramon’s gauntlets.
It was after hearing her voice that the LadyLeomon seemed to have confirm her suspicions. She knew who this was.
"So it is you..." The beast muttered. "What the f*ck are you doing in my fortress...
...Treasure Hunter Emilhy?"
What side was Lightspeed Rescue getting on? Were they getting on any side, at all? Or did they have their own side in this?
Tension could be sliced with a knife right now. Depending on what happened next, a fierce battle could unfold in just a matter of seconds.

It wasn't every day that Amelie could enjoy hitching a ride to the topmost section of a junk tower; a strange scenario to be lucky, but complaining about it would be a tad too gratuitous. "Wow. You're quite fast." She idly noted as the Fladramon rapidly advanced, all while managing to avoid all the Liamons and their attacks. Not much about to say about this situation; it was all very convenient for the brunette. At least as convenient as a situation like this one could be, that is. "I'm impressed."
Positive reinforcement and all that jazz. Emilhy was doing a good job, and Amy wasn't even lifting a finger for that to happen. Everyone won, right? And while the former human sounded annoyed at the moment, at the very least that made this conversation entertaining. The girl smirked at the aggressive comment directed her way.
"I mean, I figured that you could guess as well since we're ascending to the upper reaches of the spire. That's where the treasures are most likely stored, aren't they? At least that much seems obvious enough."
The chase continued and began to grow direr and direr; Amelie made sure to hold on tight as things became intenser and intenser. "Why are we searching for an orange chest? Anything of interest in there?"
Would that question be answered? Considering that the conclusion to this pursuit drew suddenly, chances would be that it wouldn't; she had finally stumbled upon Ziggy and the female Leomon that supposedly ran this place. Everything was reaching a more or less fitting conclusion.
Since Emilhy had stopped, the brunette took it as her cue to descend, summarily ending the whole trip. "Hey, hey. Why don't we calm down?" Her tone was obviously conciliatory. "This whole issue is just one big misunderstanding. Emilhy over here is just my chauffeur, and was kind enough to get me to this place since your... underlings pretended for me to not get here in one piece. We're even, right? So why don't we just settle down and discuss this matter peacefully? I'm sure that everyone present is civilized enough to reach a conclusion that will satisfy all the parties involved."
Would that work? Prooobably not, but one couldn't blame her for trying! Once she was done, the young woman stared at the ModokiBetamon. "Uh... where's David? Is he fine?"

Down down and more down. Not only in direction, but in general feeling as well. Ziggy had been against everything on this trip the whole time, but couldn't go against his partner's will. Not that he simply didn't want to or felt compelled to do so, but that David's will was so strong he would find a way even without Ziggy at his side. And so, the ModokiBetamon would just go along and try to be as helpful as possible and keep David out of danger. And look where that got him. Surrounded by mon far more powerful who could easily crush him without hesitation on unfamiliar territory in the middle of an ocean.
Ziggy hated everything about this situation. He hated feeling so helpless. He hated being angry. He hated being separated from David. The two had never had a dimensional barrier between the two before and thus were unaware of the time dilation between the two worlds. David's digivice's portal generator would take ten minutes to recharge. However, those ten minutes would be over an hour on Ziggy's end. And, had he known about this fact, would have just served to give him another thing to hate.
The descent was relatively uneventful and silent, making for an unsettling change of pace. Unfortunately, it did not last long as upon reaching the final door, LadyLeomon punched it straight off of whatever counted as junk hinges they had managed to cobble together, revealing Amelie riding atop a Flamedramon. Great. Even more factors to take into account. And it was yet another one that LadyLeomon was aggressive towards. How many digimon did she consider enemies anyway?
After a quick assessment, LadyLeomon posed two questions to Ziggy, neither of which he answered. The first he couldn't say anything to because he wasn't even sure what "this" was or who the Flamedramon is. The second seemed to be picked up more quickly by Amelie who immediately and correctly tried to dispell any tension; an effort that would likely end in vein.
"David is..." He paused for a moment, choosing his words. He didn't really want to reveal everything and take too much time. Time was of the essence here and there wasn't enough of it to be verbose. "At home for a bit. He'll be back in a few minutes." Some treasure is calling. Your tower is falling. Our ship will elude you. Gunna make it a Lightspeed Rescue.

With a simple scoff that seemed accompanied by some type of short laugh, Emilhy acknowledged Amelie’s logic. “You smart ass.” She muttered while she kept going up. Was she starting to like this girl? Maybe. Just maybe… there was something about her that reminded Emilhy of herself. That was in the past now, and both girls had been interrupted in their quest by Lady Leomon. Before she could issue any response to the beast pirate’s question, Amelie interrupted the exchange with a brief, conciliatory speech. “A misunderstanding!?” The LadyLeomon stomped her foot on the junky ground, issuing a rhetorical question with a shout. “So the leader of the Soca Pirates is not in my domains trying to steal from me right under my own nose!?” Again, rhetorical. “You seem to have understood that part alright.” Emilhy admitted in a mutter. On the other side, it seemed like the owner of the fortress had inferred what Amelie addressing Ziggy meant. They were friends. However, she had her hands full to stop and determine if the blue-eyed was a consequential passenger or an actual ally of the Soca Pirates. Instead, she clenched her teeth at the Flamedramon’s comment. The angriness that her preposterous attempt had caused on the Lady Leomon was slowly overshadowed by a realization. Cracking the bones in her hands and her neck, the beast seemed to be getting ready for battle. “Now that I think about it… this is just perfect.”
Emilhy took a step back, immediately adopting a fighting stance. “After all, the quickest way to become a Treasure Hunter… is probably killing one myself!” She yelled as she propelled herself off the floor, going straight towards the dragon with a fist surrounded by energy. As a cat, the beast pirate was extremely fast, shortening the distance between the two with extreme quickness. Emilhy barely managed to jump out of the way of the incoming punch, bouncing to a side and moving towards one of the walls. Amelie should probably move away from the wave of energy released by the mighty strike coming from the LadyLeomon, even if she was not the target herself! “Careful, Lady Leomon!” The Liamons were more than aware that the structure could not withstand the combat that was about to unleash, considering the strength these two had. But no way of stopping it. The determination on both of these parts was too strong, and the battle had commenced. Emilhy jumped again, this time over the lioness’ head, making her gauntlets spin to shoot a round of fire jolts at the beast digimon. In a second, the room had turned into a battlefield and skills were flying everywhere! Definitely not a place to be for a human and a rookie! They better got cover! Could this get worse? Probably… There was one of the parts involved in this whole face-off that had still not made its movement. And they were about to. “Pst! Hey! Hey!” A small voice was barely heard through the noises of the battlefield this had become. “Hey, human girl, ModokiBetamon, over here!” In front of the hole Emilhy had opened in the wall to enter this room, Lightspeed Rescue would stop… Burb and Pak! They were gesturing with their pincers at the pair, trying to go unnoticed from the guards (and pretty much failing at it!). Where had they even been!? “Look what we found, ya’!” With both of his pincers, Burb was holding… an orange chest at least twice his size! This was what Emilhy was looking for! “We found this in the other room.” Pak explained. “Didn’t that Flamedramon say she was looking for this?”From where they were standing, Amelie and Ziggy could read some very flashy yellow words engraved on the chest. What did it say? Well… Aka-Koka family. Re-Re Island.
If that name didn’t ring a bell in the pair’s mind immediately, some thinking would probably bring a flashback to them… “Before retiring, I wanted to do a last treasure-retrieving job for a family whose members have been long-time friends of mine. The Aka-Koka family, from Re-Re Island. You have probably heard of them. The King of Re-Re Island is the leader of the Aka-Koka family, and a good friend of mine. I just wanted to help them recover the treasure Leomon stole from them… b-but…you two seem strong enough! If you take my ship, go to that hideous Leomon’s hideout, take the treasure back and take it to Re-Re Island, I will be able to retire and I will definitely let you keep the ship!”Maybe that felt like it had happened months ago, but less than a day had gone from that! Could the group get a grasp of what this meant? This was not only the chest Emilhy was looking for. This was the treasure creepy coin guy wanted to recover. This was the whole reason behind them embarking on this trip. This was the reason they had seen themselves involved in this mess. And it was now in the pincers of the Mollusca Pirates. How could this affect the crossroad of interests happening right now, and how should Amelie and Ziggy approach this turn of tables to get out of this situation alive? 20 minutes had gone by since David disappeared into that portal. 50 to go. It seemed like the moment of talking was over, and they were on the offensive. They had to make every move count from right now until their captain returned. Go, Lightspeed Rescue!

As of right now, the situation had gotten pretty dicey. Not only the group had found itself in a 'between a rock and a hard place situation', but it seemed like the hostilities were ripe to start. Overall, not something a peace-loving individual like Amelie liked too much. At Lady Leomon's words, the brunette heaved a sigh. "Yup... I guess negotiating isn't gonna work if we begin asking rhetorical questions and getting passive-aggressive. "Why don't we calm down just a bit? Might be for the best."
Emilhy's comment wasn't helping. At all. Why everyone was so keen on beginning to fight? This pirate world was hard to understand, especially since it seemed like the Leomon's new goal was slaughtering the human-turned-Fladramon. Talk about life goals, right?
What about the tower's structural integrity? Pretty much doomed, if Amy had to guess. The recklessness of the people over here was nothing short of surprising, in all honesty. And that wasn't to say that the Leomon's logic was... baffling. "I don't think... that's how becoming a treasure hunter works. But take my advice with a grain of salt. It seems like you're too enthused about the current situation, so..."
Taking a more than obvious step aside, the brunette closed the gap that separated herself and Ziggy, then proceeded to crouch down to face him, extending her arms to offer him her D-Terminal. "I need you to send a message to David. Tell him to not come back until instructed to. If he opens a portal to this place, it's gonna be very dangerous for him. That said... get ready to buckle up."
Bub and Pak's entrance couldn't have been more opportune. Amy proceeded to pick the ModokiBetamon up and began to race where the crabs currently were. "Hey guys, we're bailing! Hold onto me!" As she approached, a ring of fractal data was already forming on her right hand. Once everyone had been safely latched onto her, the young woman finally evolved.
Heraldmon was quite likely bigger than the room where everyone was at the moment, but that didn't matter in the slightest; tearing an exit through the nearest wall would be child's play for the perfect-level. And once that was done? The aberration would jump downward; if the anti-flying measures were still in place, she'd just do its best to cushion the fall without affecting any of the digimon she was carrying at the moment. If they weren't? Well, that'd make things a lot easier, even if she wasn't quite counting onto that.
Alright. It's more than obvious than the negotiations aren't going anywhere, and I'm a person who keeps her word, so... we're going to blow this island up. I hope that's okay with everyone; I'd like to warn everyone that we're blowing this place to smithereens so we can reduce the casualties as much as we can, however. That's going to make things a bit hard, but I think it's doable. What do you think?
The situation was dire enough. Kiddie gloves were off. Some question remained, however. How would everyone react to such an announcement? And most importantly, to the fact that they now held the chest that Emilhy was after?

It was now that Ziggy decided he wasn't on any particular side. Except for that of Lightspeed Rescue, of course. This new Flamedramon and Lady Leomon just went at it with such intensity and anger, and the ModokiBetamon just didn't feel like helping either of them when it seemed like all they wanted to do was make more problems for everyone around. Best to just let them fight it out and leave them to their own devices.
A conveniently placed plot device and escape would soon make itself known in the form of the Mollusca Pirate crew, who had actually managed to find their goal. Finally, some good news. Now they could just take whatever was inside and quickly abscond from this dreadful place. Amelie, however, took this moment to take charge of the situation. She gave Ziggy her D-Terminal and scooped him up, asking to send a message out to David, who had yet to return despite more than enough time passing, to not actually come back. At least not yet. Ziggy held the device carefully between the knee(?) join on his left front leg and tapped at it with his right claw. It wasn't particularly easy, but he did manage to get out a message.
DAGER! Dnt come bak yet. Well tel you whemn.
Close enough.
Ziggy had been putting all his concentration into writing the message and trying desperately to not drop the terminal that he wasn't really paying attention to what Amelie had said afterward, and was caught by surprise by a great sinking feeling as Heraldmon came out once more, nearly dropping the D-Terminal in the process. It did snap him back to reality, and he heard Heraldmon's thoughts loud and clear. As clear as the words an eldritch terror etched directly onto one's mind could be.
I'm actually ok with this. Unlike his partner, Ziggy was not particularly about helping those who refused to help themselves. If destroying everything was the best way to get the parties on the right side of the situation what they want, then so be it. How do we let everyone know, though? Some treasure is calling. Your tower is falling. Our ship will elude you. Gunna make it a Lightspeed Rescue.

Part of engaging in any type of mission was knowing there could be a time where everything went to hell and you just have to improvise. This was probably that moment for Lightspeed Rescue, even if it didn’t involve as much improvisation as it could. Which was honestly a good thing.
While the exchange between the crabs and the humans happened, the battle between Emilhy, turned into a mighty Fladramon, and LadyLeomon continued. The bout went from distanced shots to exchanges of close-range blows, intensity raising in both spectrums. You didn’t have to be very smart to realize this Junk Tower wouldn’t be standing for much longer.
“Hey! Those are the crabs the human kid mentioned!” As stated, Burb and Pak’s attempts to go unnoticed had not been fruitful. One of the Liamons around the room had spotted the grabs and was pointing at them with one of his paws. Another one didn’t take long to notice the most relevant element of this situation. “T-They have the Aka-Koka Box!” And that particular fact seemed to absolutely terrify the guards. “Get them!” Immediately, a herd of Liamons started running towards the invaders. A pretty good time for Amelie to issue her “We’re bailing!” order.
As the coalition of crabs and part of the Lightspeed Rescue crew started moving, Burb and Pak immediately jumped towards the human girl, attaching to her clothes, while Burb still carried the box with his other pincer. “Finally, ya’!”
Barely being able to pay attention to her surroundings while the fierce combat developed, Emilhy managed to turn her head when she heard the lions yelling someone had the treasure she had come here looking for. “They have…!?” Immediately, the Fladramon propelled herself towards the group to give chase to them, only for her to be punished by a mighty punch coming from Lady Leomon, right to her face.
“Don’t forget about me!” The tyrant roared. She was clearly angered. The captain's whole body seemed to be swallowing just from her letting out her rage stored. “Get them. Don’t let her take that box anywhere!” She yelled, pointing at the escaping group with her index finger. “I’ll take care of the Treasure Hunter.”
Arising from a pile of scrap that had left her impact against the wall, Emilhy clenched her teeth. “I’ll have to take care of you quickly. I need that box.” She declared. Slowly, energy started swirling around the Fladramon. Instead of the fiery, red waves of power, this time the whirling energy had a blue color. It looked like… water.
“If you’re using your Astrivia Form... I guess it’s fair I do the same, huh?”
Behind Amelie and the rest, evolution was happening. Fortunately or not, the blue-eyed and the rest of her allies wouldn’t be able to witness the transformation. The Frenchwoman was transforming herself!
“W-What the...!?” All of the lions around stared dumbfounded at the human while she became a giant monster with tentacles. “Don’t let them escape!” One of them called for his partners, who had stepped back for a second, to launch forward and go after her.
While this room was bigger, and therefore able to contain the giant creature that Amelie had turned into better, she still busted through one of the walls, going into the outsides of the tower and… as she expected, falling aggressively due to the Anti-air shields.
“If we’re blowing this place up, we’re going to need our bomb. We need to move towards the southern side of the island to find it.” Pak noted, raising his pincer while they fell to point in the exact opposite direction where they had come from. “It should be over there!”
Amelie would somehow manage to cushion the fall so no one on top of her got hurt. However, it had still been a pretty frenzy landing! Heraldmon bounced against the pieces of junk that formed the ground of the island while Liamons landed swiftly around them. The cats didn’t seem ready to let them escape!
“Uuuh-oh!” The fall had made the crabs bounce off the monster’s body too. While Pak had been able to hold on tight, Burb hadn’t been so lucky, falling a couple of meters away from Ziggy and Amelie. Naturally, the chest landed not too far from him. Immediately, Burb rushed to grab it, jumping and extending his pincers to hold it.
“Go!” It didn’t take long for the chasing beasts to realize this was probably the right time for them to attack. In less than two seconds, Heraldmon had 2 Lialmons around her, both of them mid-air through a leap. Their claws and fangs were shinning in a bright, silver color, denoting they were charged with energy and ready to strike. She better did something about that quick!
Simultaneously, Ziggy would be able to spot another Liamon, running towards the Aka-Koka box that Burb had dropped. Could he stop him in any way?

It was a true pity that nobody present would heed to reason and talk their problems out like civilized beings. Why the sea had to be so unlawful? Amelie could only guess as she lamented the result of this expedition; sure, she had expected something like this to be result, but... she couldn't really deny that David's optimism had gotten to her as well, at least to some extent. Alas, that couldn't be an option anymore. At the moment, the crabs', Ziggy's and her own safety were her most important priorities, and that notion would be taken to heart.
The landing had been rough, but Heraldmon was solidly built and managed to diffuse the brunt of the impact by strategically spreading the tendrils that conformed its lower body and staying flexible in order to spread out the force of the fall. Far from perfect, but at least everyone was more or less unscathed; sure, the crabs, and maybe Ziggy, had bounced off, but that was just a small price to pay for a quick exit from that mess. If it weren't for the lions that insisted on giving them chase, that is. That was going to be quite the hassle.
Honestly... I haven't thought about that. I guess that just shouting that this island is about to explode ain't gonna cut it, will it? I guess that people will see the writing on the wall soon enough, however. Your bomb might not even be necessary, Pak. It's about time you get to meet Lightspeed Rescue's fourth member.
As confident as she sounded, things wouldn't be as easy as they looked. However, the plan regarding how to act in a situation like this one was more than straightforward, at least in the brunette's mind.
Hold fast; this is going to be a breakneck ride.
Fittingly, it all happened in a flash; Heraldmon gained a massive burst of speed as the hostile beasts approached it. Unless similarly fast themselves, avoiding their attacks would be relatively easy, considering the aforementioned factor and that the aberration was a whole level above them; once outside its pursuers' clutches, a gigantic cloud would volatilize immediately afterward. Hopefully, the noxious distraction would give Lightspeed Rescue and its allies enough time to regroup; Heraldmon did its best to pick up everyone again as fast as possible, highly prioritizing the only being that had managed to bounce off its own body, and making sure that the three beings that would be carried were secured in between its tendrils. In a weird way, those could be described as pretty unusual seatbelts, but at least they'd do their work!
As Heraldmon raced towards the shoreline, the very skies above the island began to change in color; the dark blue immediately changed into a sickeningly pale yellow tone. If anyone gazed upwards, they could observe a pitch-black symbol beginning to be ominously etched on it.
Seemingly, that'd be all the warning that the inhabitants of Junk Island would get in order to realize that staying there wasn't safe anymore. If they were smart, they'd take the cue and escape.
If not... could Amy really be held responsible for their lives?

During their plummet, Ziggy tried his best to hold onto Heraldmon. However, the same physical features that made it hard to type on a D-Terminal also made maintaining a grip impossible: no hands. And so when the sudden impact of landfall hit, Ziggy also suffered the same fate as Burb and bounced off, involuntarily distancing himself from the group. With all the grace of an inhebriated feline, he at least managed to land on his feet, albeit barely.
The chest, as well, managed to get tossed off in the landing. When Ziggy noticed, he quickly sprinted over to it. At the same time, another Liamon had the same idea. Ziggy did not stop his race towards the treasure and, when the little lion mon got anywhere close to its goal, Ziggy would use the chest as a surface to launch an Aqua Tower off of. The thing about quadruped animals is that when they are running full speed, there are moments when all four feet are off the ground. Since his attack would likely not do much to a champion level mon, aiming for this particular opening was the only hope he had at making it stagger, allowing him to get to the chest first.
Assuming Ziggy could get atop the chest using this method, he would begin to charge an Electric Cloud without releasing it, thus coating both himself and the chest in a light electrical field. With any luck, this would mean that if the Liamon would attempt to touch either him or his prize, it would be a bit of a shock, causing a reflexive recoil, at least the first time. When he saw Heraldmon racing to pick him up, he would hook one back claw into a handle and raise a front one to be grasped by a tentacle as it passed by. This was, of course, assuming all went according to plan. Should Ziggy not be able to claim the chest with this plan, he'd still be picked up by Haraldmon, but they would have to make another plan for retrieving it, assuming they were going to.
A visual shift in the world caught Ziggy's eye as the group rushed towards the shore. Turning his head skywards, he saw as the night sky began to shift towards a saturated yellow while something drew some black symbol upon it. Was this Heraldmon's doing? It had to be. Nothing else that they had witnessed was as dark- or Eldritch-coded as this form. Who and what was this girl? He would have asked directly, but somewhat feared the answer and the kind of person he had gotten himself entangled with. Some treasure is calling. Your tower is falling. Our ship will elude you. Gunna make it a Lightspeed Rescue.

The next series of events would revolve around things that could be labeled as "true". It was true conflict had escalated. It was true that the aggressiveness of the characters involved in this situation had made things a lot harder. But it was probably utopic to think this could be solved in any other way. In the good news department, the counter-maneuvers executed by the members of Lightspeed Rescue had worked out pretty good! Heraldmon had managed to dodge the incoming attacks of the lions and Ziggy had fended them off with his Aqua Tower. The weak spot he had managed to find, however, was not the element causing the biggest amount of distress on the beast. As any regular cat, the Liamon seemed to be extremely annoyed by water. The lion rolled on the floor while meowing loudly, trying to take the liquid off him. Of course, this would give Ziggy and the crabs enough time to be picked up by Amelie. "Not... necessary?" Burb would have quirked an eyebrow if he had any eyebrow to quirk. The captain of the Mollusca Pirates stared at the former human he was riding, while the crew kept moving towards the shoreline. "M-Major!" Pak raised one of his pincers pointing at the sky, his eyes widening like two plates. "... what the... ya'?" Just like his peer, Burb was just flabbergasted at the sight. "D-Did you do that!?" The box of surprises that Amelie was kept taking the crabs by surprise over and over again. They wouldn't have much time to spend on looking at Amelie's technique, though. In a matter of seconds, the Heraldmon would be struck by a burst of blue energy. It was likely the whole structure that the monster was trembled, making the creatures atop of her lose balance again. From the ground in front of them, a creature materialized, moving upwards aggressively. Its serpent-like body arose towards the sky, stopping at the same height that Heraldmon reached and looking right at her with two yellow, glowy eyes. It wouldn't take long for Lightspeed Rescue to notice this was a wyvern constructed solely by a thick, blue substance. If Heraldmon tried to push forward, she would discover this creature was... pretty solid. The massive wyvern stood in her way, avoiding she kept going. Whatever this was, it was determined to stop her. "What now!?" Burb asked out loud, only to be poked by Pak. "Major, behind us!"Only for a second, the crew would be able to spot the Liamons catching up to them. Another creature, this one a lot more humanoid-like and falling from the sky would release an expansive wave upon making contact with the ground. All of the chasing lions would be sent in all fours and away from the group. "Phew. Those guys are annoying." A wizard-like digimon stood up, holding his staff firmly. He looked a bit surprised to see the water-like wyvern blocking Heraldmon's way. "Why did Emilhy call us if she was going to send Quodra anyways?" The magician wondered, blinking. "So you're the ones messing with our plans. Are you really that strong?" He asked with an honest tone of voice while tilting his head and looking at the coalition formed by Lightspeed Rescue and the Mollusca Pirates. "Well... I had never seen a digimon like this one. And I've lived for quite a while." He remarked, looking at Heraldmon. "Is that an Astrivia f-?" A mighty roar interrupted the sorcerer, echoing throughout the island. "In a minute!" He yelled, looking into the sky. Several meters above him, another digimon could be spotted. "H-Holyd-dramon..." Burb muttered. "She's a bit nervous. I think it might be because of those clouds. She's also having trouble to fly properly because of those shields. My magic is doing wonders to keep her afloat." The Sorcerimon looked at the mass covering the sky a bit concerned. He shook his head and looked at Heraldmon. "Okay pirate boys. Last chance. Hand me the box. The Soca Pirates usually don't ask for things twice."In front of them, a dragon. Right behind them, a Sorcerimon. Above? a Holydramon. To the things that were "true" a single fact could be added: They had the last chance to negotiate in their hands. Combat log: -Sorcerimon is asking Lightspeed Rescue to give up the Aka-Koka Box! -Holydramon is waiting. -Quodra is waiting. -Anti-air shields are on, it is impossible to fly. -Anti-portal shields are on. It is impossible to bring any creature into or out of the battlefield. -Anti-card shields are on. Slashed cards will have no effect.
"I really hope those clouds of you get us out from this one, ya'..." Burb muttered.

With all due respect. The narrator couldn't be more mistaken regarding the remark of this being their last chance at negotiating. Not only Heraldmon had been struck without a warning when it hasn't shown signs of being hostile —except in order to defend itself— in the past. Each attempt Amelie had made at ending this whole deal peacefully had been trampled, mocked and promptly discarded. It came without saying that she was sick and tired of this whole situation and at everyone being irrational and not willing to negotiate peacefully.
The last chance to negotiate had passed. Long ago. The brunette considered herself a patient being, but her ego and sense of self-worth could take so much before deciding to resort to more extreme methods.
The aberration's senses kicked into overdrive; it was time to show what it was capable of, and that trifling with it so casually would be a grave mistake. First off? Its coloration would shift sharply for a couple of instants; the person who had decided that striking her was a good idea would find themselves on the receiving end of the same punishment they had meant to inflict on the monster; a warning to a warning, so to say.
If either Burb and Pak tried to 'speak' to Heraldmon, they'd be confronted by the mental equivalent of the digimon gnashing its teeth. It was more than obvious that she wasn't in the mood to talk, especially when confronted from multiple directions. The situation wasn't... very good, in all honesty.
Cornered, outnumbered and in the care of beings that couldn't contribute to the fight against high-level digimons. It didn't look like a winning panorama for Lightspeed Rescue, but... it didn't mean that the girl would go down without putting a fight.
Those thoughts aligned with the symbol in the clouds finishing completion; the sigil that was as eldritch as it was foul proceeded to give birth to a small sphere of unadulterated energy; it would descend slowly into the island, but while it did so... an a borderline unstoppable pull would look to draw all the nearby and distant matter towards it. Right now, Ziggy, Heraldmon, and the crabs were the only exception to that.
Maybe Amelie would lose this fight. Maybe being outnumbered would be too much of a disadvantage for her. Right now, however? That didn't matter, even though the sad truth was this whole situation could've been avoided if everyone had been more willing to talk and less willing to fight. Pity that hadn't been the case. —Heraldmon finds himself in a hostile situation and is unable to interact with Soca's colorful way to ""negotiate"".
—Uses Reality Hemorrhage to screw with whoever decided that attacking her in order to initiate negotiations was a good idea.
—Decides to stand her ground.
—Gets hit by whatever was thrown her way.
—Ooi has begun executing The Queen in Black, affecting everyone in the Trash Island except Lightspeed Rescue, the crabs, and David's Galleon.

“I-I can see why Emilhy was worried…” Those words were murmured by the Sorcerimon, who seemed pretty shocked at the display of black magic this girl was showing! The rest of the Soca Pirates (and the Mollusca Pirates, too!) just stared at the sky while this sphere of energy descended upon the island. While no one on the territory moved even a bit while the ball of energy went down, the effects of it would become visible as soon as it touched the ground. Around seven or eight Lilamon, coming from the tower located at the center of the island, were pulled towards the mass of energy. Meanwhile, a light blue screen appeared in front of each of the Soca Pirates. There was something protecting them from being dragged in. "Watch out!" Pak yelled. The sight of this sphere touching the ground of the island and the Soca Pirates being unharmed by it would be one of the last Lightspeed Rescue and their allies would catch by now. Next thing they knew, the bomb had exploded, and everything turned to white. Regardless of what happened next, that marked the end of the battle. Combat Log:
-Deep-Sea Veil activates. The Queen in Black now has no effect over any of the Soca Pirates. -Sorcerimon uses prompt obliteration!
What would be the next thing Amelie, Ziggy and the rest knew? Well, it would actually be the ModokiBetamon who managed to open his eyes first and see anything. First, he observed giant pieces of metal floating on the sea, not too far from him. He was, actually, floating on a giant piece of metal himself! That probably meant LadyLeomon's Junk island had been destroyed. But… what else? Well… in the distance, a ship could be seen. Was it theirs? It was! It was actually the ship Ganimon had let them use to come here, the technologic galleon of Ganemon's Rockaboats! This time, it had another vessel right next to it. That one had enormous, blue sails. What else? It was Burb! The Mollusca Captain, along with Pak and Gug, were running right in front of the frog, away from the vessel they had conquered early. In their escape, Burb turned to look at Ziggy. “Hey! Hey!” He called for his ally. “The Navy is here ya'! We need to go! Want to come with us? We can take you underwater'ya!”That was the first offer of an escape Ziggy had. It was obvious whatever decision he took included Amelie, whom by now would probably remain unable to take any decision by herself. If Ziggy took the offer of the Mollusca Pirates:
The crabs would work together to throw both Ziggy and Amelie into the water and he would lose consciousness again. Where would the Mollusca Pirates take them? In case Ziggy refused, the crabs would simply jump into the water and disappear. Another offer, however, would reach him. “Hey, little guy.” It was that Sorcerimon, the same who had confronted them before. To the opposite side of where Lightspeed Rescue’s ship was, another giant vessel stood, right behind the wizard. “You two coming or what? I'm not going to let some fellow pirates here to be captured by the Navy. I know what that's like. Come on, let's go! If you decide to stay, you’ll belong to the Navy now!” On top of the deck of the ship on the distance, Ziggy would probably spot Emilhy, while Holydramon floated above. Did they want to go with the Soca pirates? If Ziggy took the offer of the Soca Pirates: While being carried to their ship by the Sorcerimon, the frog would lose consciousness again. When they woke up, he and Amelie would find themselves inside the ship of the crew they had rivaled earlier. If Ziggy decided to refuse this last offer, the energies inside his body would fade out anyways and he would lose consciousness. When he woke up, the frog and the blue-eyed lady would find themselves in a white, roomy chamber. A symbol was the only thing fairly noticeable and engraved on each wall: “Digimon Navy.”
What would be the decision taken by Ziggy? Where would they end up? How did David fit in all of this? Lightspeed Rescue's adventure continues in their next chapter! Congratulations, Lightspeed Rescue! You have completed the second chapter of the Astrivia Plot for your route: Watch Out!.
Here are your rewards! -9,000 Bits / 15 posts
Both your inventory and the decisions you made during this chapter will carry out to the next one! Thanks for playing! See you at the next chapter!

Once again, I'll take the bits. Ziggy was helpless and outclassed in every potential way possible in this situation. He could do nothing but stay strapped onto Amelie's fleshy belt bits while she shook with every hit taken. There were flashing lights and sudden movements and loud explosions and so many pulling sensations that it was all overwhelming. Quite literally, in fact, as The Queen In Black and Prompt Obliteration and the Mollusca Pirate's bombs all went off nearly simultaneously. The ModokiBetamon found himself blacked out before long.
When he awoke after Jesmon knows how long, he could barely see. The whole world was still blurry, but his other senses told him all he needed to know. The familiar sensation of sharp metal attempting to embed itself in his skin combined with the gentle caress of standing water on his lower half meant that he was floating about on a piece of that damned island. Good riddance.
In the distance was a familiar brown blur that could only be Lightspeed Rescue's ship. Ziggy wanted to paddle over to it and regain himself, but his fins wouldn't respond. Were they broken? No. He was simply out of energy. Despite his wants and desires, he found himself drifting back into darkness. Just before passing out again, he briefly saw something blue approaching that dwarfed his own ship and a voice calling out. What did it say? He couldn't tell. His brain didn't have the time to process it before falling catatonic once more.
Sometime later, he awoke once more, still unconsciously clinging to that piece of metal debris. By now Ziggy could not feel his extremities, the cold water making him almost completely numb. Whoever was here before was now long gone, replaced by someone else entirely. They, too, called out to Ziggy, but he could barely hear them. Even though they were clearly close enough to be heard, it all sounded muffled as if speaking through several thick blankets. Had he known who this ship belonged to, he would have rejected their offer and given the biggest middle finger he could give, which would be impressive as he lacked both fingers and hands. However, the same as last time happened. Despite his best attempts to reach out and ask for help, all that happened was a sort of deflating sound as a low gasp escaped instead of words. He soon felt a great sinking feeling, as his numb limbs began to lose their grip on the plank he had been keeping afloat on. Slowly, Ziggy began to sink down into the ocean and feel his consciousness fade away again. At least he was aquatic.
When he next awoke, Ziggy was no longer in the ocean. He was in a very white room with another humanoid blob shape. "D-David? Izzat you?" His voice was weak and his words slurred together. But it wasn't David. That boy was still waiting off-screen for his signal to return. The figure could have been Amelie, or maybe just a figment of his imagination. Now in a more comfortable environment, his senses would slowly return to normal, and the truth would become apparent. Some treasure is calling. Your tower is falling. Our ship will elude you. Gunna make it a Lightspeed Rescue.
