Ryu was shocked by what Elson just said. "Are you out of your mind? What part of causing no further commotion didn't you understand? Besides, I won't do it as I have certain standards..." He then looked at his tamer, who was surprisingly quiet for a situation like this. "Taka, please explain why we can't do this!"
"Actually Ryu, we might have to, I don't really see another way out of here," the human replied, increasing the shocked look on Ryu's face. "There must be some other way that doesn't involve doing something illegal though, this isn't like you!" Takahiro could tell that his partner was upset about having to steal from others, but couldn't fully reassure him as he agreed with Elson on this matter. No, this would take a slightly more creative approach. "Look Ryu, I know you're against stealing, but it's the only way we're going to get supplies for the journey ahead. We already tried trading and offering our services, so I don't know what else you expect us to try?"
Ryu mumbled something to himself and turned away from the group. "Alright, I'm not going to tell you what you can and can't do. I'm in, but only because of you Taka, there's no way I would have done this otherwise..." Relieved that he got his partner to cooperate, he smiled and turned back towards Elson. "If we're going to steal supplies, we should probably not take anything from the poor. That store over there looks promising though," he said as he pointed towards what looked like some sort of general store in the distance, past the marketplace.

"Well then let's..." Elson was saying when a the cave trembled.
"Mamothmon!" someone shouted.
The cave trembled again. Everyone around them was taking cover. Elson didn't have time to react when the door exploded, hurling pieces of wood all around them and letting in the cold. In the place of the door was gigantic, admired mamoth apperantly very angry.
"My general, it seems like a good aquisition." Silversteamdramon commented.
"What?" Elson asked
"For the team. That mamothmon seems like it would be usefull."
"You're... Look out!"
they both jumped off the way when the mamemon charged against them. Silversteamdramon drew his sword.
"I think it needs some taming first." Silversteamdramon said.

Takahiro was expecting a lot of possible complications to their plan, but this was something he definitely couldn't have predicted. Upon feeling the snowflakes and icy wind touching his skin, he shivered and quickly put on the coat he had been carrying all the time. It didn't look like much, but at least it was nice and warm. Maybe Ryu hadn't made a bad deal after all. "This is not the time for daydreaming; we've got to do something!" Ryu shouted as he managed to push his tamer out of the Mammothmon's path in the nick of time.
"You're right, we should probably do something. It's called getting the heck out of here!" a panicking Takahiro replied. Just as the pair was about to high-tail it out of Snowflake Village, Ryu saw Silversteamdramon drawing his sword. "I don't know what that tin can is up to, but I can't just leave him there. Especially considering he kind of saved our hides back at the igloo."
He turned around and started running towards the hulking mammoth digimon again. He quickly looked back at his tamer, who had taken cover behind a small building. "Don't worry Taka, I have a plan. I'm going to try to lure this thing out of the village so it can't cause any more damage." Takahiro nodded, even though he was very worried for his partner's safety. One false step and the Ryudamon would find itself under one of the mammoth's feet. "RYUDA LASER" Ryu shouted, causing a red beam of energy to emit from his forehead which narrowly missed the Mammothmon. This left Takahiro confused, why did Ryu miss his target?
It all became clear when Ryu shot two more beams across the face of the hulking creature. He wasn't trying to hit it; he was trying to anger it and make it come after him. It worked, as the Mammothmon turned its attention away from Silversteamdramon and started charging at Ryu, who had already starting running towards what used to be the town's main gate.

The situation was getting crazy.Ok, it was not getting crazy, because it began by geing crazy, it was even crazier if that was possible. There seemed to be someone trying to kill them wherever they went. Elson whished he had the power to help, but it didn`t seem like that was going to happen. Ryu jumped into action, annoying the mamoth and drawing his attention, away from Elson`s partner. "What are you doing Ryu? I want some sport here. Eletrcial Slicer!" Silversteamdramon jumped and his sword eletrified. However, upon hitting the Mammothmon, it simply jumped from Silversteamdramon`s hand. The enormous digimon simply turned and hit Silversteamdramon with one of its tusks, leaving it a bit dizzy and simply lying on the tusk. Then the mammothmon turned back to Ryu. "Tundra Breath!" the digimon shouted, filling the cavern with the gigantic eco of it`s voice, making several pieces of ice fall from the top of the cavern and almost land on Elson and other people on the cavern. Then the mamothmon spew a cold breath from it`s mouth against Ryu. The gigantic wave of extremly cold air seemed almost impossible to dodge given it`s size and was freezing everything in it`s passage, turning the floor into an autentic hockey field. Elson was just stnding there, watching the scene, hoping that Silvertseamdramon was Ok, an cursing himself for having acted faster.

Ryu just stood there as he saw the wave of frigid air approach him at a dangerously high speed. Takahiro, who was still hiding between two medium-sized buildings and out of immediate danger from being hit, didn't understand why Ryu didn't try hiding behind something. "What do you think you're doing Ryu? Get the hell out of there, you'll freeze to death!"
Just a he was ready to get out of his hiding place and try to save his partner, Ryu looked at him with a smile on his face. "Stay right there, I've got this covered Taka!" he said, bracing himself for impact. Just as the wave was about to hit him, Ryu played his trump card. He somehow curled up to a ball, having most of his armor face the direction of the incoming attack. While this protected him from instantly freezing, the sheer force of the attack flung him into the air - right through the hole where the gate once stood. He landed somewhere in the hilly tundra outside of the town, his fall being cushioned by the thick layer of snow that was there.
"Ryu!" Takahiro shouted his partner's name multiple times as he rushed after his partner, hoping that the dragon digimon was okay and had survived the attack. He quickly ran out through the town gate, praying the Mammothmon wouldn't follow him outside. Luckily for him, it didn't. No, it was much more interested in the other human whose digimon had dared to attack it. The hulking creature stomped the ground a few times and let everyone in town have a taste of it's magnificent voice again before turning around and charging straight at Elson, crushing a few benches, lights and smaller igloos in the process...
(OOC: The curling up is a part of Ryudamon's Spike Strike attack, which works as a damage reduction and retaliation move. However, Ryu couldn't complete the move here due to being too far away, hence the name of the attack never showing up.)

Elson watched powerless as the mammothmon hurled Ryu through the gates. Poor Takahiro he ran after Ryu, not falling too by chance. Elson was still in the same place. Finnaly he realised he had been frozen the while time!
The mammothmon charged against him, in fury. That's when Silversteamdramon came to his senses and, seeing what was happening, jumped from the tusk to cover his general. Unfortunately, the mamoth reached Silversteamdramon first, throwing it against Elson and breaking the ice, which resulted in both of them being thrown off the moutain. The mamothmon didn't even realise, however, that his charging would break a thin amount of ice on tip of the hill, and he too, fell with Elson and Silversteamdramon. Elson fell on the snow, passing out. Takahiro and Ryu were now alone.

Finding himself laying face-down in the snow on the tundra, Takahiro wasn’t sure what just happened. Everything was a bit blurry; the last thing he remembered was running away from the Mammothmon that attacked Ryu. Then he remembered he was looking for Ryu out here in the snow. The poor Ryudamon was blasted out of town as a result of the hulking digimon’s frosty attack. “Ryu, where are you?” Takahiro shouted multiple times after getting up, hoping for a response from his partner.
“Over here…” a croaked voice said. Takahiro instantly recognized the voice as his partner’s and starting moving in the direction of the sound. His left arm was hurting pretty bad, leaving him to think that the fall might have caused a sprain or something. His eyes scanned the icy plain, but it wasn’t until Ryu put one of his claws into the air that Takahiro could locate him. “Ryu, are you okay?” a worried Takahiro asked his partner as he made his way over to where the digimon was laying.
“I’m fine; if I were you I’d be more concerned about that Mammothmon. I can’t sense him anymore, so where did he go?” Ryu asked as he slowly got back on his feet. The Ryudamon looked incredibly bruised and not in any condition to fight for a while. “I have no idea. We should probably make our way back into town and find Elson though. Can you walk?” Takahiro looked concerned, the last time he had seen Elson or Silversteamdramon was when the Mammothmon found the two of them more tempting targets than Takahiro himself.
Ryu grabbed onto his tamer’s leg before answering the question. “I can, but I’m going to need your help for a while.” Takahiro looked at his digimon and gave him a faint smile. “Fine, but just until we get back into town.” The distance to what remained of the town gates wasn’t much, but it felt like an entire hike for Takahiro considering he was practically carrying Ryu and had to deal with the pain in his left arm as well.
Once the pair arrived at the gate, they were stopped by a Frigimon wearing a red scarf. This was clearly another Frigimon than the one they encountered earlier. “Sorry, but visitors are not allowed in until the damage has been repaired,” the snowman-like digimon said in a deep, authoritative voice. Takahiro sighed and spoke up. “We literally just came from here, and our friends are still in there. Please let us in.”
“In that case I’m still going to have to ask you to leave. The town needs repairs, and we can’t trust any outsiders until everything is fixed. Do you have any idea how vulnerable we are to a raid now?” the Frigimon quickly replied. “As for your friends, I suppose you mean the other human and that metal digimon? Last I saw they got knocked off the cliff in the back of the village along with Mammothmon. I wouldn’t bother trying to find them, they’re probably dead. Now please leave,” he added before turning his back towards the pair, clearly not wanting to continue speaking with them.
Takahiro was shocked by what the scarf-wearing Frigimon just told him. Could Elson really be dead? Seeing this, Ryu was quick to reassure his partner. “Even if they did fall of that cliff, there’s still a chance that Elson and Silversteamdramon are alive. We have to try to find them; we owe those two as much…”
Takahiro nodded. “I suppose you’re right. Let’s go,” he muttered as the pair started slowly walking away from the village into the icy tundra.

Elson woke up with a really hard puch from Silversteamdramon. "What was that for?" he asked "My general, I`m sorry, but you simply would not wake up, and you will freeze to death if we don`t get moving. We`re out of supplies and even the coat was lost during the fall." his partner answered "I have been closer to deah by freezing, thank you." Elson remembered when he was frozen by the mammothmon. That`s when it all came back to him "Silversteamdramon where are the others? Takahiro, Ryu...And what happened to the mammothmon?" "The good news is that the mammothmon fell with us, but wasn`t lucky enought to land on snow like us. As he fell, he created and san into that lake you see over there...the bads news is that we fell. In fact, if Takahiro and Ryu are even still alive, I doubt they believe we are, since we not only fell from a mountain, but we fell with the mammothmon, meaning if we survived, then the mammothmon would have killed us." "Well then let`s prove them wrong." "My general, we can`t afford to look for them. We have to go south to reach somewhere we can find supplies." "Why don`t we just climb the mountain agai...oh, right, we almost died the first time." "Yeah." Elson didn`t like the idea, but it seemed like fate had separated them from Takahiro and Ryu and blocked all ways of meeting again. They would now have to explore this world, alone, without the bravery and ethics they`re friends had provided. Would they survive it? "Silversteamdramon it`s time to go now." Elson stated, standing up. "Yes, my general" the machine replied. And they walked away, trying to turn their hearts to stone, to prevent themselves from trying to go after Takahiro and Ryu. [EXIT]

Once they reached a decent vantage point in the form of a small hill, Takahiro and Ryu were finally able to take a good look at the village. The damage caused by the rampaging Mammothmon was indeed quite extensive. The front gate was busted and one could basically see through the village. The cliff Elson and Silversteamdramon had likely fallen off also looked incredibly steep. Looking at all of this, Takahiro wasn't surprised about the digimon of Snowflake Village temporarily not welcoming visitors; they had much bigger problems to deal with.
"You know, I don't think we'll be heading down into that valley..." Takahiro said to his partner, who gave him another astonished look. "What do you mean? Are you saying we're not going to try to find Elson and Silversteamdramon?" The human turned his gaze towards the ground. He could tell that Ryu wouldn't approve of what he was about to suggest, but he didn't want to waste time out here in the cold looking for people who might be dead. "Listen to me Ryu, if those two are still alive, they're probably not going to bother getting back up here. Our best chance is to just head back to the more temperate regions of this world."
Ryu didn't like what his partner just said, but chose not to go directly against him. "It's a long way back to the Digital Core though, are you sure you're up for another long trek through the tundra?" He turned his face in the direction they first arrived from. "If I'm not mistaken, that's the way we need to go," he continued, pointing in the only direction that didn't have mountain peaks on the horizon. "What choice do we have? We could freeze to death here trying to find Elson and Silversteamdramon, or we could bank on the chance that we'll run into them again eventually," Takahiro commented.
"What about the current states of our bodies? I can barely walk and I've noticed you touch and look at your own arm a lot lately. Did you hurt yourself?" Ryu inquired. Looking at his arm and feeling the pain return, Takahiro tried to reassure his partner. "I fell, but it's nothing serious. Now let's go, I've had it with this place." Ryu simply nodded and the pair slowly began walking into the open tundra again, just as another blizzard started to limit their eyesight... [EXIT]
