The Riot Squad officers exchanged worried looks as Eris told of just how strong her father was. To them, it sounded like he was a Mega or even a Super-Mega level, and certainly wouldn't be able to retain his form in Tokyo, not with the anti-data network now currently active.
She then suggested asking her cousin, who was apparently a Mega. "Well... that might be the easier option there." the fatherly Riot squad officer answered. "If he can power down to his Perfect level, we can accommodate him here, as long as he plays by our rules. Nothing unreasonable, just don't disturb the peace with digimon powers and we're happy to receive him."
Even after the chaos of Golden Week, it seemed that was still the standing orders of the new DATS.
When in the office, Commander Hashimoto looked down at Eris as she attacked his shoelaces. To the surprise of the other DATS agents in the room, he smiled, letting her do as she pleased. Shoelaces could easily be replaced, trust could not.
"Thank you for slaying the snakes that were about to devour my feet." the DATS commander replied. "You have done well, Eris is it?" he hoped he got her name right.
Next, Hashimoto's gaze turned toward Justice. He noted by his dark complexion and the fact that he only really responded once he was spoken to in English that he was African-American. The DATS Commander didn't react negatively, he simply watched him with patience, knowing he likely had reason to be as frightened as he was.
Eventually, Justice's partner Vee spoke from his digivice, saying his name. Hashimoto gave a nod in response. "Very well. I should tell you, Justice, that you're not as nearly in trouble as you think you are. I don't intend to punish any of you here. I merely want to gather information. I'm prepared to let you all leave peacefully as soon as our conversation has finished here."
Next, Hashimoto's eyes turned to the Impmon, who said that he was from Fragment Village. Hashimoto closed his eyes and gave a nod, acknowledging that he knew that place.
"Thank you, Caine. Yes... the digimon known as "Trigger" will be undergoing a more... thorough interrogation owing to his actions. But since all of you here acted in the interest of peace, you won't suffer that same fate."
That lastly left the individual known as "Grankuwaga Mask". Hashimoto gave a small smile again.
"I know a little about you spirit users, so, no need to keep up that personality with me here." he told her. Still, he wouldn't be bothered if she kept it up.
For now, Hashimoto's interests were getting the full story of what happened here tonight. And so he would state it to the others, careful not to step on Eris as he stood up and paced behind his desk.
"What I would like to know from you people now, is exactly what happened tonight, in your own words." he said. "The individuals involved, the motives you suspect were behind them, the events that transpired. And, lastly, what were your own reasons for getting involved, then staying behind voluntarily to be transported here? Don't worry, I don't intend to harm or punish any of you."

Justice hesitated for a moment before turning to Commander Hashimoto. Thanks to Vee, he was starting to feel a bit more level-headed than before, but still straying a bit far from his usual, nonchalant self. Even though it was just him telling the Commander's name for him, it was enough to put him at ease at least for the time being.
"Ok, with all due respects, sir, you saying that you don't intend to harm or punish us is not making me feel better at all in the slightest." He responded rather coldly. "You can spare me your sycophancy. You're just saying all this to make me feel at ease so you can toss out a lesser punishment to me. The Digimon will get a slap on the wrist, sure, but to me, as a human, ya'll are gonna find some way to legally reprimand me since I'm within your jurisdiction, whether it be through my school back in the States, or whatever. And from what happened tonight, get all that shit from the Impmon since his clown ass was on those Digimon side. As for me, it's frankly none of your business why I was there."
From his tone alone, it was clear as day that Justice still didn't trust Hashimoto, or any of this for that matter. Sure, holding his tongue would potentially spell more trouble for him, but back in America, especially where he came from, snitching was not tolerate.

All things considered, Caine felt like he had to agree with Justice here. Simple assurances did not do much to ease any potential anxieties felt by anyone here. ...However, the attitude being displayed here...
One could not blame him for feeling a bit cross. "And where were you? The Gumdramon was yours, was he not?" Call him a clown and he'd gladly provide some actual humor. Anyways. He had some actual insight to provide here, did he not?
"We, as in Scarab, the Stingmon, Gyo, the ExVeemon, Trigger and I got contacted by an Arachnemon. I'm going to make the assumption that since you deal in Digimon-related affairs here that you are familiar with that species. If not, then think 'spider-lady that can make herself look like the standard middle-aged Karen-type' for appearance. Our orders were basically cause a ruckus to, and I quote, 'stick it to the man.' At least that's what Trigger said. I suspect Arachnemon herself had far more personal motivations, but she was able to play on some pre-existing prejudices that Gyo held."
But was there more to the story...?

GranKuwagaMask gulped. Inside of her, her two voices got a bit worried. "Oh god, oh f*ck, they're onto us! Our secret identity is compromised!" "Ah, c-c-calm down, Ryuko-sensei, they still don't know *who* we are! W-w-we can play this off!" "I hope you're right, Teach's gonna kill me if he has to bust me out of jail *again*!" She then coughed. "The events of the past night? That is simple. It would seem there were Digimon, seeking to forge contacts with humans, to overcome the differences between them, to become friends. But then, one of them went crazy, and started attacking! So, being the hero I am, I valiantly opposed them, to keep the people and the Digimon safe! The Digimon who first came there to make friends are innocent in this!" She scratched her head, still sweating. "No clue why those Digimon did it, though."

Hashimoto was at first surprised by Justice's outburst, but sighed as he understood where he was coming from. In Japan, most young people were raised to trust authority, and, from what he had heard of life across the Pacific, that simply was not the case there.
He next turned to the Impmon, who, while showing a similar level of distrust, provided a lot of useful information here. Hashimoto was quick to note it down, that an Arachnemon was the mastermind of it all. And from preliminary reports from Agent Tiger, that was indeed the case.
"I see. Well, Impmon, since you're here testifying to me voluntarily rather than showing resistance like others in this building, I'm inclined to thank and reward you. I assure you that we in DATS have no intentions of making incursions to the digital world, and we will allow you to return to it freely, despite the rumours that you may or may not have heard."
Hashimoto then turned to the spirit user for her testimony. Her intentions, while in his opinion somewhat immature, still seemed noble to him. "I see. Thank you." he replied.
He then regarded the three of them, wondering what would be the most appropriate response to them. From reports from his agents, most tamers, spirit users and solo digimon were good entities that didn't want to cause trouble. But trouble was caused in Shibuya tonight. And he needed to get to the bottom of this.
But before he could continue his line of questioning, there was a knock at the door. Irritated, Hashimoto said for them to come in. And to his shock, it was none other than his superior, Director Suzuki. Suzuki was a tall, grizzled old man, with greying hair and a neatly trimmed beard. He was dressed in a neat business suit. His sharpest feature was piercing blue eyes.
"Director! I wasn't expecting you here tonight." he said, standing up at once.
"If that's true, I'm disappointed, Commander." Suzuki replied in a curt manner. "DATS's whole operation compromised and you don't expect me to be present in finding out just how this whole fracas came about? Preposterous."
Suzuki then looked at the interned trio coldly. "And I take that these three were involved?"
"Yes, but, they actively assisted us, sir." Hashimoto argued. "And I was just in the process of taking down their testimony..."
"And what a good job you've been doing so far." Suzuki interrupted. "I've been monitoring this interview. So far the foreigner is refusing to cooperate, the digimon has put up a tale that conveniently incriminates the other digimon he was involved with and not him, and the "spirit user" continues with the same nonsense."
"Sir... I must protest!" Hashimoto eventually snapped. "What you're saying here is compromising the effectiveness of this interview! You're threatening these voluntary witnesses when they've been cooperative so far..."
"From what I've witnessed so far of this interview, and from the seriousness of the situation at hand, I think we can get more out of them than what they've delivered so far." Suzuki responded, sneering at them. "How about we go by this? You tell me everything I want to know, otherwise no digimon will be leaving this room alive." he looked pointedly between Justice and Ryuko.
'Shit' Hashimoto thought to himself, realizing he now no longer had any direct sway in this. Suzuki was his superior, he could not override him... at least, not directly.
While Suzuki's attention was fixed on the interviewees, Hashimoto sent a direct message to Agent Machine.
Urgent. Cause chaos in DATS HQ. Immediately. I don't care how, just don't get caught.
Hopefully this could untangle the tense situation here.

Justice scoffed at the Impmon-X. "None of your damn business, shrimp." He said firmly, and crossed his arms. To him, his outburst was justified. But truth to be told, he didn't know what happened since he left; he only arrived at the last second to clean up the mess. Seeing as though he was gonna stay silent regardless, he was getting ready to make his leave, since Hashimoto himself stated that all of them could leave at any time. He didn't even know why he showed up here in the first place if he had nothing to give to them. It's not like he was a hero or anything; he just a problem solver since if those Digimon had continued their assault, it would have affected him as well.
Then there was a knock at the door. The person behind the door was a old man in a business suit, with a sharp gaze that prevented Justice from leaving. The old man, revealed to be the commanders's superior, expressed his disdain for the lack of progress this interview was going. It wasn't until threatening to kill any Digimon who failed to cooperate did Justice's demeanor changed.
He met the older's man piercing gaze, his eyes narrowing in anger. He couln't help be felt like this was his fault for not just admitting to the Commander about what really happened. He suited the Commander more than this guy.
Then, his D-Watch lit up, a blue light shooting out, with Gummy quickly materializing. The Gumdramon barred his teeth at the Director. "I like to see you try and delete me, you old coot!"
An orange light shot out as well, Vee materializing as well. He held out his arms in front of Justice in a defensive manner, his light red eyes starring anger-ly at the Director as well. "So we save the day, and here you are threatening us?" He said, albeit somewhat hurt. "Just who in the hell do you think you are?"
Justice finally spoke up. "And if even if did knew what the hell happened earlier, I still wouldn't tell you! You call this an interview? The interviews I know don't involve threats of any kind!" He turned to Hashimoto. "Now I regret acting the way I was before. You're a nice man, and I should have told you the moment you asked me."
The young man then walked up to the Director's face, not wanting to be intimidated by him whatsoever. "Go ahead. Try and kill my Digimon. I fucking dare you to pull that shit with all of us."

As Suzuki entered the room and revealed himself to be such a charming man, Otohime and Jiro thought the same thing at the same time: "Wow, what a douchebag." "What's with this asshole? Why's he so rude? What did we do to him? We oughta spank him silly until he begs for mercy!" "Uh, R-r-ryuko-san, I don't think that's a good idea. I feel like he'll be mad at us and punish the others, too." "Ghnnnnn, what a coward, hiding behind his weapons!" "I know, I am angry, too!" Their shared distaste for Commander Suzuki had the unintended side-effect of putting pressure off BlackFairymon's back. Synced like this, staying digivolved proved less hard, and she looked less stressed. She cleared her throat. "We already told you all we know, Sir. If you wish to know more, I believe that coercion is not a valid tactic. Perhaps if you don't hide behind your weapons like a coward and speak to us with the respect we deserve as equals, we would be more cooperative. You are currently hindering your own mission." She had crossed her arms and looked Suzuki right in the eyes. She made no effort to look intimidating or frightening. She'd be going for the high ground, to make him the asshole. "And Mr. Justice? Please, calm down. Don't threaten him. Don't lower yourself to his level, you are better than that."

Yeah, no. That just proved only two of these individuals was worth squat here. The Impmon pulled his attention away from Justice and focused squarely on Hashimoto. It was unlikely that anything said towards him would wrench his focus away from him or any other officials that came in. "...For the record, my name is Caine, Commander." The Impmon quietly corrected before the questioning continued, and...suddenly?
Someone that was decidedly unfamiliar showed up, someone with more authority than the commander and evidently someone with differing views. The director. ...That did strike the Impmon as odd. There was already a seeming clash of ideals here. "...You -do- realize there's no reason for me to lie and try to not incriminate myself when everyone can tell you I was among the suspects, right?" He asked the Director. "What kind of strawman are you trying to spin here?" ...Whether or not Caine was applying this term correctly was up for debate.
Elsewhere in the HQ...
Machine was filing away a report on this whole fiasco and the ending of it, three individuals detained forcibly, one turned himself in...And then he had been pinged with a message from the commander labelled Urgent.
"...Wonder what's this abo--" He cut himself off the moment he read the contents of the message. Cause chaos? Whatever for? Still. Orders were orders. "Seifer, run wild. Don't get caught."
That was the message the unrealized Hackmon needed to let his hacking skills run wild. Alarms blared. Sirens rang. Chaos ran free, and sprinklers went off.
But.
There was ultimately one question left to ask here.
Did all of that even work?

Hashimoto noted that the Impmon corrected mention of his name. "Very well, my apologies, Caine." he replied, still keeping polite with the digimon.
Then when the Director turned up and ruined everything, the reaction of Justice was to draw his twin digimon and dare him to make a move. Director Suzuki positively smirked at the prospect, not backing down when Justice tried to threaten him.
"And now the mask drops, eh?" he replied. "Talk tough all you want, kid. If your partners make a move against me, not only will they be instantly deleted by the guards outside, but you'll have proved to the world that all you "Chosen" are are a bunch of lucky brats given power and are willing to turn delinquent in order to keep it. And in case you haven't got it already, delinquents aren't tolerated very much in this country..."
All Hashimoto could do at this point was give a small nod of acknowledgement to Justice when he said it, but, circumstances had rendered him unable to act to protect him here.
Director Suzuki then turned to Otohime. "Equals?!" he repeated with utter disdain, as though the very concept offended him. "You, a random person just like any other, pick up some flashy trinket and declare yourself equal to authority?! Don't think I don't know about you Spirit Users, all of you are just ordinary people with weapons, and weapons happen to be illegal too."
Suzuki looked like he was about to say something hostile to Caine too, but Hashimoto had had enough. "Sir, with all due respect, I think if your intention was to bring this interview to a good-cop-bad-cop strategy you should have at least informed me first." he said, standing up.
Director Suzuki had no idea how to respond to this. He was being back-talked, he knew, but... there was something in the way that the tall, menacing figure of Hashimoto was looking at him that slowed his mind down to choose his words carefully.
But before he could do so, all hell broke loose. Sirens blared, sprinklers activated, lights flashed.
"What in the...?!" Director Suzuki asked, clearly startled by this.
"Sir! It appears we're under direct attack!" Hashimoto said, instantly. "The three digimon incursions were a diversion, allowing for a clear and direct attack on our headquarters while undefended! It's the only logical explanation for this!"
As he said that, Hashimoto saw genuine fear in Director Suzuki's eyes. The middle-aged man retreated from the room, an expression of shock on his face. With that, he turned to the Riot Squad guards outside.
"You two! Get me out of here!" he ordered. They obeyed, escorting him through the premises. With that, Hashimoto turned to those remaining.
"It's no longer safe for you here. I apologize for not being able to keep my promise of your safety." he said. "The only safe way for you to escape this is to use this chaos to leave. Here." he pulled what was unmistakably a kind of digivice from his pocket. With it, he opened a portal in the wall. On the other side, the sight of Scramble Crossing in Shibuya could be seen.
"Go while you can." he said. "Caine, you're aware of the Trailmon platform, right? Please, return to the digital world while you still can. The rest of you, disperse. Go home, and don't let yourselves be caught again. I won't be able to guarantee your safety."
They only had just minutes left before their cover would fade. It seemed that this was their most likely means of escape. If they took it, they would emerge suddenly from a secluded spot on Scramble Crossing, where they could quickly either enter Shibuya Station, or return home elsewhere in the district.

Justice's eyes immediately flared up in anger at the Director's thread, trying his best not to attempt to strike him. "Delinquents?" he repeated loudly. "Who in the hell are you calling a delinquent?! In case you didn't know, these 'delinquents' just prevented a couple of rouge Digimon from causing more damage to the city. If it hadn't been for us, plenty of people could have gotten hurt, or killed as a result. So your ole' midlife crisis-looking ass better watch who you're talking to."
The Spirit User tried to get Justice to calm down. He turned to her with a piercing glare. "Don't tell me what to do! You don't know a damn thing about me! How about you worry about yourself for once instead of others!
With the twins, Vee gave Justice a worrying glance. He wanted to try and calm him down but couldn't find the words what to say. He had never seen his tamer this riled up before. He was so chilled and laid-back and not to mention hilarious at times that his outburst took the Veemon by surprise.
As for Gummy, he merely smirked. His tamers's outburst was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one to him. He'd never picked Justice out to be a feisty one like himself. He too, wanted to teach this old coot some respects as well. Heck, he threatened the delete the both he and his brother, so that alone was enough to rile up his feathers.
Just then, the building's alarm went off, with the sprinkles turning on. Fire? No. There wasn't any smoke in the air. Hashimoto explained that the building was under attack by hostile Digimon, prompting Director Suzki to retreat in fear. Once he left, Hashimoto then opened up a digi-portal, telling everyone to escape as fast as they can. Justice then turned to the man that's been so kind to him.
"Thanks, but no thanks," he said. "My Digimon and I will see ourselves out." With that, he sprinted out of the room and into the hallway, with Vee and Gummy following suit if anyone didn't try to stop them.
"So we're really getting out of here?" Vee asked, prompting Justice to nod his head.
"Oh yeah, we're getting out of here, alright. After I have a little 'chat' with that sonavabitch."
If anyone tried to stop him, whether it'd be those riot squad guys or his allies in the room, he wasn't afraid of using force to get through them. Besides, this was personal now.

Otohime did not flinch when the Director had his little outburst. "Yes, I see you as an equal, for you are human, and so am I. Authority? You only got authority because someone put you into a suit and put you on an office chair. My old man is way above *you* because his actions are respectable. What have *you* done but act like a fussy little -child-?" Before she could lay on further, the alarm rang. A Digimon attack? Whoa, that was unexpected! It broke the tension within BlackFairymon as Human and Spirit had previously acted in unison, united by their dislike for the director. Who was now running away. The sight made Otohime giggle, and her words were the one the Spirit Digimon was uttering. "Hahahah, where ya going, ya old coot? Running for the hills like a child when things get tough! I got more balls than you in my little finger!" Her laughter was quickly stopped, first by Hashimoto's insistence on allowing them to flee, and then by Justice. She had previously just ignored him, but now, it seems he wanted to get himself killed. The BlackFairymon rushed after him, and tried to use her Digimon strength to grab him and hold him in place. "Ok, listen here, you whiny idiot. Are you this fuckin' selfish that you wanna risk this asshole killing Digimon as revenge for you proving him right? Is your teenage rebellion that more important? Like hell it is, you're coming with us, even if I have to force ya!" One might call her stupid for this. That was okay. She was stupid, and knew it.

Director Suzuki didn't care at all for the defiant words he was given in return. Understandable of course. He smirked a little at the back-talk from Justice.
"Oh please, keep on digging your own grave with your words, tamer, this is quite delightful." he would say in return, happy to use Justice's aggression as an excuse to further crack down on the rest of his companions in Tokyo.
"And you too, miss, by all means, tell us what you really feel about the peace and order we have here in our human nation. By all means, stand out there and tell them what you want their lives should be in accepting you, and listen to the unanimous rejection of whatever it is you're trying here."
Director Suzuki's demeanor quickly changed after that, then he quickly fled to safety, realizing that in this emergency that he was not in power after all. However, Justice and his partners ran after him.
Otohime would then quickly chase down Justice to prevent him getting into a fight he couldn't win. And thankfully, one of the Riot Squad guards accompanying the Director was the one that had been extra gentle and understanding toward him on the journey here.
"Sorry. The time to fight isn't now, pal." they said, drawing a spherical object from their belt. "I'm going to have to insist you disengage. Hope to see you again when things calm down."
Following that, they slammed the spherical object on the ground just in front of Justice, his partners and Otohime. In the moments that followed, a portal opened under their feet. This portal would lead them to a safe, quiet place in the Network Plains of the digital world, close to a Trailmon platform. Either way, there was no way that anyone involved could get close to the DATS director this time.
In the meantime, assuming he wanted to do so, Caine was welcome to escape through the portal that Hashimoto had procured and end up in the same place.

Someone who uses their own power to intimidate others was just asking for an ass whooping, and Justice aimed to be the person to do that. It didn't matter if their were repercussions involve--it didn't matter to him. All that matters is teaching this fool a lesson.
Sensing that they were being followed, Gummy quickly reacted to the BlackFairymon's advances towards Justice by smacking her hand away with his tail hammer, giving her a competitive grin. "Sorry toots, but if you're gonna try and stop us, you're gonna have to fight us," he declared.
Vee cracked his knuckles, assuming a fighting pose. "Sorry about this, but that human needs to be taught some manners after threatening us."
Justice pulled out his D-Watch, shooting an enrage glare at Otohime. "If that's the way you put it, then fuck yeah it is," he yelled. "Call me whatever you want, I don't care. A fool like him needs to be put in his place. A fool like him needs to think twice before threatening others. A fool like him needs to know what defeat feels like. I don't care who stands in my way, I'll kick your ass all the same!"
Before either of them could make a move, a Riot Squad guard came in between them. Before Justice could even say a word, the guard slammed whatever he was holding on the ground. A portal began to materialize. "OH YOU MOTHERFU-" was all he could say before, him, Vee and Gummy suddenly appeared in field of lush green grass: the digital world.
"FUCK!" Justice yelled, kicking up the soil in rage. He turned to Otohime, approaching her. "If you hadn't got in my way, I would have caught up to him, dumbass!"
