(OOC: This thread is a continuation of the Group C Golden Week plot. Those who have left the thread or no longer wish to participate within it, if you do not respond in the first 2 rounds, you will have been treated as though you have also left the thread. Those that remain can go by the usual DATS Plot Case rules, with relevant bit rewards at the end. So far, Eris and Otohime have responded saying they intended to stay. I have yet to hear from Justice and Satoshi, so if you wish to participate, please post when you can).
The vans of the Neo-DATS Riot Squad charged into Hachiko Square from different entry points, blocking off three of the four exits of the location from escapees. Immediately after they stopped, the van doors slid open, and three squads of six heavily armed men leapt out and took their positions. In their hands they carried strange weapons that few had ever seen before - resembling assault rifles but with golden orbs located where the magazines would normally be. Other than that, the Riot Squad were covered in full-body armor, complete with kevlar vests, masked helmets, and ceramic plates covering their vitals, all coated with the black and red colours of DATS. "All digimon remaining in the area!" a booming male voice called from the loudspeaker of one of the vans. "Power down to your Rookie forms immediately or face immediate deletion. This is Riot Squad Captain Maho speaking. If you cooperate with us, you will be treated humanely and without cruelty. If you continue to fight us, we will destroy you." he left the last option for escape as an open option. With the digimon known as "Trigger" felled and unconscious, he was sure that they had earned their pay by capturing him at least. So far, there were five other digimon in the area that they knew of. The first was the Baalmon, who they hoped would also cooperate. The second, a little Gigimon. Two of the Riot Squad members approached, not bothering to raise their weapons. "Aw... you know, sir, baby digimon are just so cute..." one said to the other. "Be that as it may, Nemuri, be cautious, you don't know what they can evolve into." the second responded, but the two DATS members would offer to carry the Gigimon back to their van gently. "Easy now, little Gigimon. Do you agree to come with us quietly? You heard Captain Maho, we won't hurt you if you do." he would speak with truth here. Meanwhile, three Riot Squad soldiers watched the fairy digimon cautiously as she posed like an anime cosplayer. Eventually, one of them spoke up. "Could you please accompany us back to headquarters, ma'am?" one of them asked. If this could be all done nicely, there was no need for any unpleasantries. Following that, the remaining Riot Squad members would secure Hachiko Square. If Satoshi, WereGarurumon, Justice, Vee and Gummy wanted to surrender and accompany them, now would be their chance. If not, it would seem they would be too late.

Eris would flinch a little at the schreeching wheels and loud sirens and lights of the SWAT vans as she clamped her little ears down to try to muffle the noise. Still she didn't flee, but sat flopped tiredly on her creamy belly by the Baalmon's feet watching the DATS officers with curiosity. When one finally addressed her though the tiny red bean would perk up beaming up at them. "I don't mind going with you Mister Police Human Sir, but I gotta be back at the Trailmon station by eight or my Daddy will worry and I promised I would try not to worry him today." She chirped with more energy then she felt as she sat back on her haunches wiggling her two tiny little front legs up at the humans to indicate it's ok to pick her up. Should one of them do so she would happily curl up in their arms thrumming contently.
Only pausing as a thought occured to her causing the little Gigimon to peer up at the DATS officer shyly. "Um. I'm sorry bout the Square Mister Police Human Sir. I tried my best not to let anything bad happen to the pretty statue or any people, but you guys just got here so fast I didn't have time to start helping to clean up. I'm sorry. I'm not in trouble am I?" She questions peering up at them with those big blue eyes.
"My Daddy says if you make a mess you should help clean it up and Mister Baalmon and I really were gonna help promise!" Eris swears with all the honesty and solemn intention of the most sacred of pinkie promises.

Police sirens. A sound that either spelled help was arriving, or they were about to be in some really deep shit. It was a sharp wailing noise that echoed throughout the square until the exterior of the nearby buildings swallowed it whole. Both Vee and Gummy visibly winced at the noise, covering their ears as the screeching wheels came from the armored trucking coming to halt. However, Justice remained perfectly stoic. He didn't move a muscle, not when the van doors open up, not when the heavily armored men came out, and not when all of them had them in their crosshairs with their mysterious assault weapons, apart from a slight twitching in his arm which was involuntary.
When the loud speaker threatened that they'll face deletion if they try and do anything, the twins took a step forward and got into their fighting stances, meeting their gazes with a hot, crimson glare. They didn't know who they are, but if they were issuing threats like that, they had another thing coming to them. Before they took another step, Justice raised his arm in front of them.
"Vee, Gummy, do not do anything," he advised cautiously.
Vee looked up to him with confusion. "Why? We just want to help."
"Yeah," Gummy concurred, "especially when they're staying stuff like that. I like to see them assholes try and delete us."
Justice only responded with giving them an angry glare. "Do. Not. Do. Anything," he repeated. Both twins jumped up in shock. They had never seen their Tamer this serious before. It was like he's a totally different person from whom they're use to. He continued. "They are highly trained police officers who deal with very dangerous situations. This is one of them. They have the right to use deadly force if one of you try as to so much make a move. So check your mouths, get in the D-Watch, and let me handle this before you do something stupid that'll get the both of you killed."
Both Digimon nervously nodded. They then dematerialized into orange and blue beams of data, going into Justice's digivice.
Two officers then went to nicely apprehend Eris, who didn't saw her as a threat gave her a bit of special treatment. The young man only rolled his eyes in response. He then got on both knees and held his hands behind his head, letting the officers know that he was cooperating with them. Justice knows how the police are. He knew it all too well back at home in the States. If he tried to escape, they'll either respond by chasing him, or shooting him, so he didn't want to risk that.

As the sirens grew closer and the Riot Squad made their approach in earnest (after what honestly felt a lot longer than it truly was,) the Baalmon felt a little uneasy, which was...uncharacteristic of him. He glanced down towards Eris. How...young was this girl to be saying stuff like that yet being able to help beat Trigger to a standstill.
"Listen to your tamer. Do not tempt fate." was all that the Baalmon had to say towards his former opponent. He then turned towards the Riot Squad, and the form of Baalmon faded in a puff of wispy black smoke to reveal an Impmon X--the same one that Gummy fought, with the exception of his eyepatch, which was gone, revealing a single red eye.
"Right. I should mention that we're the only ones remaining here that are conscious, and it's better that way. The Terriermon to my right's a damned sociopath, and the same could be said of one of my former associates too. So, I suppose do your thing." The Impmon spoke.

Well, Keisuke's worst nightmares were about to come true. His child was about to be apprehended by a riot squad. It was a good thing the old man was not here to see this. Otohime, for her part, was calm, as much as the Digimon was beginning to sweat from the strain of continued digivolution. "A-a-are you ok, Ryuko-san? We can probably still escape!" "And throw Eris before the dogs? Hell no! We're gonna see this through! And with you by my side, we will succeed." The Spirit gulped as the fused form struck a further pose. "We both fight for justice, citizen. If you promise not to hurt my friends I shall come along with you without making a ruckus." She was still a novice Spirit User. She had just finished a tough fight. Staying digivolved was going to eat into her energy reserves soon. But Otohime refused to just leave. A true hero presses on, even to the detriment of their own health!

The DATS Riot Squad officers that approached Eris smiled from behind their helmets at her reply. It seemed that she had someone looking out for her. Well, their orders were to convince as many as the digimon to come quietly as possible. And the more senior of the officers happened to have a young daughter of his own. And he recognized her mannerisms as well, so he took her offer to pick her up.
"Well then, hopefully we can work something out there." he said, gently picking her up, speaking to her as he would speak to his daughter. "Do you have your daddy's contact details? We can call him to pick you up if you like. And I promise, things might look scary now, but, all we want to do here is figure out what just happened so we can better protect our city, okay?"
He chuckled as she asked if she was in trouble. "No, you're not." he said, shaking his head. "I'm sure you did your best to protect everyone, and that's admirable."
Two further DATS squad members approached Justice, noting how he drew his digimon into his digivice and surrendered himself immediately. While the Riot Squad officers were heavily armed, they weren't inclined to mistreat humans.
"Don't worry, mister, we're not going to cuff you." one of the squad members said, the voice through her mask clearly female. "Just keep your digimon in your digivice for now and follow our instructions. All we want is to take you back to headquarters and ask you questions."
Her squadmate meanwhile was a little more familiar with the police situation in the states and recognized that he might be a little more frightened than normal for being accosted by authority figures. "We're not like how they are in the states." he said, trying to offer some semblance of calm for him. He recognized Justice's accent as American after all and that's what he was going from, even speaking in English for him. "Please enter the van and sit down. We hope for this whole thing to be cleared up quickly. We won't harm you if you cooperate."
Two more squad members approached the Impmon-X. "Alright, thanks for letting us know." one said, simply. In his opinion, the story would eventually be known. But not here.
Next, the three riot squad members approaching Otohime were grateful for her cooperation. "Thank you. We will not harm you as long as you cooperate with us." they assured her, then would indicate for her to enter the DATS van along with the others.
Lastly, the unconscious Trigger was picked up by two remaining squad members and placed carefully in a van where he would be under guard, since he was identified as the most dangerous one.
Once everyone was safely secured in one of the three DATS vans, they would drive their way to DATS Headquarters for further questioning. The Riot Squad made sure to treat all of them gently and politely, even going as far as offering them a drink of water if they needed it. They knew that they were dealing with frightened young humans and digimon, and aimed to cause as little distress to them as possible, while still carrying out their mission to bring them back to headquarters for questioning by the Commander, at the end of this exhausting night.

"Oh! Ok! I'm happy to help! I want the city to be protected and safe too." Eris chirped beaming up at the officers happily before she held out one of her paws showing them the little pouch strapped to it.
"I've got a commlink in my bag if you'd like to call him, but he has a hard time crossing into the human world cause his data is too big." She explains only to pause going a little pale as her stomach lets out a loud rumble. The Gigimon's cheeks going pink in embarrassment as she peers up at the policemen shyly.
"Ummm do you think we could get some food on the way? I'm really really really hungry. I didn't get to buy any of the festival foods like I'd planned." She questioned politely if looking disappointed she'd missed out on all that food due to the fight. Sniffling a little in her sorrow at the waste. She was going to bring some back to her friends too, but she supposed it just wasn't meant to be.

Police brutality is a painful and all-too-familiar concept in America. Growing up in the states, especially in the Chicago metropolitan area, Justice was fairly exposed to heightened scrutiny and suspicion to police whenever he was out with friends, or simply just walking down the street, mainly due to the color of his skin. It was the main reason why his mom taught him and his other siblings on what to do when police suspect them of committing a crime; those rules being putting your hands above your head, comply with an officer with what they say and never, ever, deem themselves a threat to them.
It's ironic really. He was taught at a young age that police were there to protect people, now they were one of things he has to watch out for.
As two heavily armed officers approached Justice, he honestly did not know what was going to happen. Since there's an offspring chance their might be a language barrier between him and police, it was going to be very difficult for him to actually comply with their orders. He hoped that his mere appearance alone would give them the tip that he's not from around here.
Luckily for him, not only that both of the officers actually spoke English, but they revealed that they weren't going to cuff him like some petty criminal. Heck, one of them was even aware of how most police operate in the states to his surprise. This was a massive relief on the young man's mind. But still, he wasn't out of the woods yet.
He slowly got up, his arms no longer above his head, instead slightly spread apart from his pants to let the officers know that he wasn't trying to reach for a conceal weapon or anything, and took a seat in back of the van. Despite them telling they weren't going to harm him, he still had to let them know he wasn't dangerous. That's the social stigma that he was raised to follow sadly.

Caine let out a sigh of relief, as the voices in his head while he was Baalmon were, thankfully, proven to be a touch incorrect with how he predicted the conduct of the officers would be. In truth, they seemed far, far more reasonable than anyone could've expected. Nonetheless, the Impmon only watched closely as one of his former associates was dragged off to the van and placed under careful watch, before he would proceed himself to one of the vans.
Probably the same one as Eris. Someone needed to watch out for the kiddo that took a Golden Triangle head on, after all. Nonetheless, the Impmon X didn't really have much to say that he didn't already offer. If anyone wished for the story, then they would need to wait for when he needed to speak at HQ proper.

BlackFairymon really did look like she needed a glass of water, considering how much she was sweating from the strain. Lesser Spirit users would have de-digivolved a while ago, but Otohime was a woman with more tenacity than a cockroach. She would see this through, for her sake, for Eris', and for Caine's. It was what any hero would do. Jiro remained uncertain, though. He was not doubting his friend's will or strength, but some strains are too much for a mortal human to bear! He did not want her to get hurt! "R-r-ryuko-san, are you okay still? I don't want you to get into a bad situation!" "E-e-e-ehhehehe, I am okay, don't worry little buddy! I know what I am doin'" That was a lie, and they both knew, but there was no turning back now. Once they had arrived, GranKuwaga Mask would step out, still following the DATS agents.

Big data? The DATS officers would exchange worried glances at that news. Still, they would try to keep the Gigimon calm. "Is he above Ultimate level?" the fatherly one asked. "If so, if we call him here, he may be reduced in power or be forced to de-digivolve. Because to protect the city, we've set up a series of defenses that prevent evolution to Mega and Super Mega, and limit evolution to Ultimate. Would you still like to call him here? Don't worry, we'll tell him so it won't be a surprise."
The Gigimon then asked if they had any food. Supposing there was no harm in it, since they were going straight back to headquarters anyway, the officer reached into his pocket and pulled out some emergency ration chocolate. "Here you go. It's not as sweet as regular chocolate, but, it's enough to keep you going for a few hours." he broke off a few blocks and would hold them out to feed to her.
Meanwhile, the two officers that approached Justice would let him get into the van without any forcful interventions, allowing him to keep his dignity.
The Impmon-X was led to the same van as Eris meanwhile. And lastly, the spirit user was led to the same van as Justice. Once they were on the go, water was offered when asked for. And before long, the vans would arrive at the DATS headquarters - the vans entering via the electronic-controlled gate that led to the back entrance. Once there, they would stop, and the occupants would disembark. The Riot Squad officers behaved as though the digimon, tamer and spirit user were guests, and didn't insist on forceful guiding at all.
"Please, follow me." Squad Captain Maho said to them, and would lead them into the building. After passing several offices with opaque windows, it would be clear that DATS HQ was a hive of frantic energy tonight, as staff were struggling to figure out just what the heck happened with this enormous digimon incursion.
Since he was identified as a dangerous digimon, Trigger was taken to a containment cell, where he would be dealt with later. The others meanwhile had a different destination.
Eventually, they were led to a large office. Captain Maho knocked on the door, was invited to enter, then would present those that had been there in Hachiko Square. "Commander Hashimoto, these are the digimon, tamer and spirit user that voluntarily came with us from the battle at Hachiko Square."
"Thank you, Captain Maho." a middle-aged man replied, standing up from his desk. He had greying black hair, as well as a great deal of wear and tear on his serious looking face. He looked at the digimon, human and spirit user, taking in their appearances before speaking further.
"Well then, I suppose introductions are first on the itinerary." he remarked, pacing a little, his hands behind his back. He spoke a formal Japanese, but Captain Maho was willing to remain present and translate to English if needed. "I am Commander Hashimoto, leader of DATS. I'm sure you can imagine it has been very busy here tonight, with what you experienced at Hachiko Square also occuring in Miyashita Park and the newly rebuilt Entertainment District, so forgive me if I sound a little tired. What are your names?"
Hashimoto would determine their level of cooperation for himself, hoping they would respond.

Eris will happily take the chocolate grasping the sweet dark treat in her little front legs as she nibbles on it letting out a happy squeak. Only pausing to consider the nice Police People Sir's words before nodding enthusiastically. " Uh-huh! My Dad is like really big and old and umm...I'm not sure what level he fits in anymore. My Uncle told me that when a Digimon is around as long as he and Dad trying to cal-cu-late their level gets techy-ni-cal." She explains th little bean as she carefully sounds out the slightly more difficult words as she beams up at him. "But if we call he can probably send my cousin! He's only a Mega so squeezing into a smaller form won't be as hard for him." Eris adds glad to have found some sort of compromise not even realizing the implication of her words. Though that did explain how the tiny little red in-training managed to break the mold and evolve so fast. She came from a family of quite frankly terrifying digital powerhouses. With the chocolate in her belly though and tired after a long fight Eris will spin in a circle three times on the DAT's Policeman's lap before she tucks her tail around herself and promptly falls asleep. Dozing the rest of the trip to the station. Likely only actually waking up when one of the Officers likely picks her up and brings her to the office. Setting her down where the tired bean will flop onto her belly with a large toothy yawn. Eventually blinking up at Commander Hashimoto with a look of interest at least until the man starts pacing and then her attention immediately latches onto the closest thing to her eye-level. His shoes...or more importantly the shoelaces that bounce with each step, the aglets tapping and clacking against the leather side and... Really the only warning the team gets is the way the little beans eyes dilate like dinnerplates. There's a split second as she crouches, crimson tail held high in the air like a battleflag clearly warning all of the impending doom that is to happen that is at least were the rest of the team not watching the commander with terror rather then the tiny bean. Then after one, two, three, short calibrating butt wiggles the Gigimon pounces. Launching herself forward where she immediately latches her teeth into the laces, rolling onto her back to tangle her little feet into the ties as she bats at them likely very nearly tripping the Commander and almost getting herself stepped on as she lays there belly up looking very pleased with herself. "Hi! I'mm Erish!" She chirps in greeting to the Commander voice muffled by the shoelace gripped in her teeth. "Ish killed yours feets sneks for yous. No bitey yoush now." The Gigimon explained clearly quite happy she saved the Commander from a horrible death via rogue cloth clothing snakes.

For the duration of the ride, Justice sat in silence, looking down at the floor of the van as it shook back and forth with every bump on the road they would hit. One of the officers started to offer everyone some water. Justice didn't even respond or look at them, continuing to stare at the floor of the van in a zombie-like demeanor. Their sycophancy into being nice to him didn't make him budge in the slightest
His mind was too wrapped up in all of these questions that was surging through his mind like a ranging waterfall: Did he got arrested? Was he going to jail? And did any of his classmates that were there doing the festival saw him being contained. For the latter, he really didn't hope not. If so, word might spread around the school he was attending and he would get kicked out of the abroad program as a result, or worse, get kicked out of school entirely and being send back home to the states.
A wave of anxiety started to hit him. His breathing becoming slightly more audible as his fingers started to twitch in nervous manner. He was so racked up in the what-fi scenarios so much so that he didn't even noticed they had arrived at van's destination until the back doors opened and everyone started to get up.
Shaking his head, Justice would be the last person to exit out as the officers would escort them into what looks like their HQ.
After walking for about two minutes, they were led into an large office, where a man was sitting behind a desk. Justice only looked at him for a few moments before turning his gaze onto the floor. He could immediately tell that the man was in charge, and that now, he was in a mountain of shit.
Commander Hashimoto began to speak and already, there was a problem: the language barrier. Justice could only comprehend little Japanese, so all he got was his name, Hachiko Square and DATS. Luckily another person was present to translate for him, so now he got the whole dialogue clear in his mind.
The man then asked for each of their names. Gazing at his desk and not giving him direct eye contact. Justice would open and close his mouth several times, unable to find his voice. He just has to say his name and that's it right, so why was it so hard to do?
"J...Ju..." he managed to muttered. His breathing started to deepen heavily as it now was become more audible for everyone else to here it. His heart was beating fast in his chest, so much that he felt like it was going to burst out any minute now.
It wasn't helping that the little red Digimon with them was paying with the Commander's shoe laces, like they were a toy or something. Did she even understand the gravity of the situation they were in? Was she that ignorant and stupid? It was pissing him off!
He tried to say his name one more time, once again, the words not coming out the way he wanted. If it wasn’t any clear already, he was already in destress, and the Commander’s authoritative aura wasn’t helping.
”His name’s Justice!” Justice’s eyes widened, he looked down to his D-Watch and saw Vee’s 3-bit image on the screen. A wave of relief brushed over him. It was like having a new lease, a new motivational booster. Vee’s voice was like a bell, clearing his mind of a mystical fog that had almost caused him to have a panic attack. It felt...good.

It was a rather solemn car ride for the Impmon X--also his first ever actual car ride. Or van ride. Seriously, he had only taken the Trailmon before, so this was...new. Didn't necessarily do much to calm whatever nerves he had, though. If the imp was offered water? Well, he'd take it and imbibe upon the source of hydration. Upon arriving at the HQ, they had to bid farewell to their unconscious pain in the ass that was given form solely to cause misery upon everybody in a square GOOD PAL Trigger for the moment as they were taken up to an office and presented with...
What Caine would assume to be the commander.
...Huh.
When prompted to introduce himself, the Impmon held a hand up as if saying to wait, before leaning forward. "Hey, he might need those to walk." he uttered aloud, before he stood up straight and looked Hashimoto in the eyes. "I am Caine of the Fragment Village. I'd like to apologize for the actions of my...unfortunate associates, first and foremost. The ones that I'm going to assume have been detained or are in the process of being detained, at least."

Finally, things were moving on, the interrogation began. When asked for her name, GranKuwaga Mask put two fingers to her visor, the arm trembling from the inner tension. "I am GranKuwaga Mask, Champion of Justice. It would seem I was in the right place at the right time to help out with the Hachiko Square incident. Certainly, I will do my utmost to help justice be done." If offered a drink of water, GranKuwaga Mask would just down it quickly and exhale sharply after doing so. She was finding it harder and harder to keep together. Hopefully, this interrogation would be over soon.
