It had been another long night. Natane of course was not opposed to long nights, after all a portion of her relatively hefty income and one of her primary hobbies relied on long nights to thrive. Her ability to let herself fall into the music she spun and lose herself in the lights and sounds and collective movements of crowds filling the clubs she performed at were a large portion of how she was able to keep going despite her crippling shyness, her need for social interaction mostly fulfilled by long hours with her fingers moving across turntables and touch pads. While she never interacted in a face to face, personal way with those that thronged to the dance floors she overlooked some nights, the fact that her music was enough to spur their bodies to move, to bring happiness and elicit responses of all kinds was enough for her.
And when it was over at an ungodly hour and she returned home to her wonderful, secluded penthouse apartment, when she stripped off her mask and her goggles and her trappings of both anonymity and identity to let herself breathe air not full of the smell and heat of countless bodies moving together at once... well there were few things more relaxing then. Natane stepped into the shower to wash off her own sweat and aches from dancing on her own behind her equipment for ours on end and allowed the frenetic energy to fade away.
Here in her home, surrounded by her plants and her equipment and all the signs of who she is rather than who her family wanted her to be. As she prepped for a late, or early depending on your point of view, meal and then bed, Natane heard her phone chime oddly, a strange distorted chirping noise.
"Hmm?"

Natane closed her fridge and made her way to the coffee table where she had left her phone, only for her computer to emit a similar noise moments later. Her steps quickened as she moved into her living room to find out what exactly was going on, brows pinching together with mounting confusion and the barest beginnings of concern. Stepping in, she was momentarily dazzled by the spheres of bright light emerging from the screens of both devices. The one coming from her phone was much smaller, the other larger than her head, and both seemed to glitch around the edges in fragments of splintered colours and patterns, the sounds of TV static filling the air from two sources. Natane stood stunned in the doorway, unable to understand what she was seeing. And then just seconds later it was over, the lights dropped to the nearest surfaces and vanished, leaving objects behind. From the larger sphere a large, strangely egg like object had been left behind. It sat neatly on her carpet, unmoving, perfectly upright, and as thought it had always been there. Natane stared at it even as she moved over to the table where the much smaller ball of light had been. Placed perfectly bedside her cell was a bizarre device, all yellows and reds and looking for all the world like a weird old school handheld gaming system. Natane reached out to pick it up, hesitating with her hand hovering over it for a few seconds as if expecting it to shock her or something. It felt perfect in her grip, as if it had been made to be held by her, and was still slightly warm from whatever had brought it here. For a moment she stood there, the odd object in her hand as she looked at it and then the weird egg, at the device, the egg, device, egg. "What in the...." It was much too late for this. She was way too tired to deal with whatever bizarre dream or hallucination or whatever this was. She turned on her heel and went back to her kitchen to finish her food and then go to bed. This was a problem for morning-Natane to deal with.

Sleep came quickly but was plagued with bizarre dreams. Vast ever changing landscapes plagued with glitching mountains and oceans for skies, oddly coloured photograph artifacts glinting in the constantly flickering sunlight, and always the sound of static in her ears. Despite the oddness the dreams were not frightening, just new a little uncomfortable at first. She woke tired and still a bit stiff and sore, but that wasn't unusual after a night like the last. and for a few minutes Natane forgot anything was amiss, or well, until she walked into her living room with a coffee in hand and spotted the egg sitting there just as it had been last night. Carefully she took a seat and set down her coffee so that she could grab a pillow, press it to her face, and shriek into the fabric to vent the mixture of incredibly odd and slightly hysteric feelings suddenly welling up inside of her at the reminder that last night hadn't been a dream. After screaming it all out, she stood back up, went to her room, retrieved the red and yellow.... thing from her bedside table, and then returned to stare at the egg and sip her coffee moodily.
"If it wasn't a dream then that means that somehow, stuff can come out of screens. What the fuck." She scowled down at her phone, pulling up her search engine and beginning a string of searches that in the end would get her nowhere. Frustrated, she smacked her phone down onto the couch beside herself with a wordless grunt of irritation. All she'd gotten was weird conspiracy sites and a ton of "Error 404"'s. Giving up on the research for now, she made her way to the kitchen, ready to throw her bewilderment and frustration into cooking the best breakfast possible.
Natane was so absorbed in cooking, she didn't hear the egg beginning to hatch.

Her first clue that something was amiss once more was a deafening crack. Natane looked up, startled, from her plate just in time to catch sight of two small blurs of movement come streaking into the kitchen from the living room. The two little creatures collided with her leg with a pair of muffled squeaks and clung there, bobbing up and down, chirping at each other. Utterly baffled, Natane couldn't find it within herself to respond in any meaningful way for a moment, just staring down at the bizarre, blobby things clutching her pajama pants as they stared unblinkingly up back at her. How either of them were managing to hold onto her clothes without anything resembling limbs was impressive part of her mind noted idly, the rest of her brain taken up with wordless but unreleased shrieking in surprise over this new development. Shooting to her feet, she moved quickly over so she could peer into her living room, finding the egg to be nowhere in sight. Evidently, these two little (admittedly very cute) critters had likely come from the weird computer egg thing. And speaking of the pair of unannounced house guests, somehow they were still clinging to her legs, chirping and purring at every footstep as they rode her feet like toddlers. She hunkered down into a crouch to get a better look at the two, gently prising them away from her legs with one hand each. They looked oddly like seed pods or seedlings with eyes, and the resemblance to the greenery she cherished so much caused her heart to soften immensely towards them, despite the anxiety their arrival last night had caused. They were cute damn it, Natane was willing to admit it now, she wasn't strong enough to resist such adorable little eyes. The noises they were making were quite adorable too, almost like kittens or puppies in a way, all small baby animal sounds will of wonder and excitement. She gently tried to scoop the two of them up, and each happily allowed her to do so, letting out a series of noises that sounded almost like laughter as she moved back to the kitchen table. As soon as she set them down, she took notice of their keen attention on her breakfast, and quickly readied a small serving of what she had left over for each, curious as to whether they would be able to even eat it or not.

Seconds later, Natane felt foolish for doubting their ability to eat. In the moments between her setting down food in front of the curious new critters in her abode and tucking back into her own food, they had managed to munch their way through nearly a third of what she had given them. Watching them eat was astounding, especially since she couldn't actually see what the fluffy one was using to consume the food, only that in its wake it was gone. They had a certain degree of personality even newly born as they were (If they were newly born anyway, she had no idea how the life cycle of such creatures even worked) .The one covered in fluff ate with a single minded determination and ferocity that made her fear for her fingers should she decide to try and remove anything from the plate it had claimed as its own. The one that looked like an odd seedling ate just as quickly, but seemed calmer, less likely to take offense to an interference, although that could just be a facade. Both seemed enraptured by the food put before them, and by the time she had finished what was left on her own plate that she had already been half done, they were both finished as well and were staring at her pleadingly.
"More food I suppose? I think I read somewhere that hatching takes a lot of energy so I guess it makes sense you're both hungry. You must've come from the same egg which is kinda weird though. This whole situation is weird you know." Maybe it was their resemblance to plants, or the surrealness of the whole situation, or maybe it was that they'd already grown on her so quickly, but Natane found that none of her usual problems with talking to others seemed to be coming up. Of course it could also have to do with the fact that they didn't look human at all and she wasn't even sure they knew what she was saying. Still, she stood and refilled their plates, watching them munch their way through another serving as she thought on what to do about this situation for today.

Natane's quiet contemplation was interrupted by both little creatures, who had after breakfast begun play wrestling on the table in front of her, becoming enveloped in yet more spheres of light. The odd device that she had unconsciously placed in her pocket suddenly began to vibrate and she scrambled to remove it, watching the word "DIGIVOLUTION" flash across the screen before the light vanished and in its place were two entirely new beings. Or at least, what could be considered older, larger versions maybe? If their previous forms were seeds or sprouts, then these were certainly seedlings, the plant angle was still very much present but they were now a fair bit larger, so still no bigger than the average house cat. Now, Natane wished she could be shocked. She likely was on some level, but at the moment so many bizarre things had already happened in the last 12 hours that at this point she'd just elected to roll with the punches for now. She stared at the two in their new forms (And how could she be sure they were the same? She just... had a feeling) and opened her mouth to speak. "Alright. So this is happening now huh? You two can turn into other stuff too or is it just this?" She hadn't been expecting an answer at all and yet the world continued to surprise her. "Hi! I'm Lanata, I'm a Tanemon, that's Lutea she's a Yokomon right now. Are you our Tamer? You gotta be right since you have that Digivice and we're Digimon and we're here.""Hello." "UH. HI." So much for rolling with the punches. Now they were talking and Natane was feeling a slight spike of her usual anxiety towards social interaction. It wasn't as bad as it was with other humans, again likely due to their resemblance of plants, but it was still there a little bit. "Wh-what do you mean by Tamer? Digivice? What? Oh, also, I guess, I'm Natane, it's nice to meet you..?" "Tamer's are people that have Digivices and partners like us! That's all I really know. I don't know how I know either but I do. I think I was told but I don't know who by." The... Tanemon? Who had called herself Lanata seemed to be the most talkative of the two, which made sense considering she had come from the more confident seeming little fuzz ball. "We only know you're our partner..." And there was Lutea, her voice much softer and quieter, she seemed to almost be hiding a little bit behind her sister, although it seemed like it wasn't out of fear so much as some habit. Can it be called a habit when you've only been alive for a few hours? "Okay. Alright. This is really really weird I just want you both to know that." Natane sighed and leaned back in her chair, fighting the urge to scream to release the weird feelings filling her at the moment. "So now what... The internet's a no-go, I couldn't find a thing on there." She tapped her fingers on the table as the two odd Digimon watched. Maybe the library might have something? It was a long shot but it might be worth it. "Are you two okay with hiding in a bag while I go out somewhere? I have some things I need to look up."

A few minutes later found Natane digging through her closet for a bag large enough to fit not only all of her things, but two passengers as well. After a bit of searching, she managed to find a shoulder bag that would do nicely and began to transfer over everything that was in her previous bag. During the process she found yet another odd new device, it looked a bit like a very old fashioned calculator or perhaps some bizarre computer. She looked it over for a while before shrugging and sliding it into one of the larger side pockets for investigation later. All during the search and transfer process, Lanata and Lutea were nearby, looking around curiously at every little thing they saw. Both refused to be left behind for even a moment, not wanting to lose sight of their new human partner.
Once she was done putting all of her things away she gestured over a the pair. "Alright, let's see how you guys fit." They hopped over, Lanata jumping right into her waiting hands to be lifted up and into the largest pocket of the bag. Lutea soon joined her. "All good? Comfortable? You're not getting squashed or anything?"
"We're fine, it's all good in here!"
"Yes."
"Okay then. We're gonna be out in public so if you two need anything, get my attention discretely please. Let's go."
Natane hefted the bag and slung it over her shoulder, pulling on her mask and slipping on her shoes as she stepped out into the world once more. Destination: Yayogi Library.
