The sun shined bright on the hilltops of the Mainframe Hills, a peaceful area of the Digital World. It was a vast area, where you could see the entrance of the Server Forest, a lake, and even a very faint view of Terminus in the background. And what were Adrian Boriker and his Digimon partner Shoutmon doing on such a nice day?
Training, of course.
Using the Shadow Boxing program installed on Adrian's Digivice, Shoutmon was now fighting a shadow clone of himself, looking for new tactics and strategies to use against his opponents. They were so close to the final stage of evolution, Super Mega, and they wanted to at least try and reach it.
The shadow clone kept swinging his staff horizontally right at Shoutmon's head, but the real Shoutmon bobbed and weaved each time. "Too slow! Whooop! Almost got me! Haha!" Yeah, Shoutmon did love making snarky comments in the middle of combat...
Since the shadow clone was so busy swinging horizontally, Shoutmon took his chance to backflip right over the clone and swing at it from behind. The clone would then flip right onto his belly, allowing Shoutmon to hold his mic staff over it. "I win!"
"Nice going Shoutmon," The dirty-blonde-haired teen congratulated as the clone disappeared. "Should we try again in one of your other forms?"
"Yeah! It's been forever since I was OmniShoutmon!"
Kayden walked with the twins on either side of him through the mainframe hills, completely in their own little world- well, more so Kayden and Yin. Yang was the only one who was always aware of the surroundings, always on high alert. It's because of this that he spotted two figures, one obviously a human and the other a small dinosaur shaped figure.
"Kayden, Yin, over there." Yang pointed, making the other two look.
"Looks like we aren't the only ones out here." Kayden rubbed the back of his head before he felt himself being nudged forward.
"Come on. Let's go say hello!"
"Yin is right. You need more allies- er, friends, in this world. We can be cautious though."
Kayden stared at the two before sighing and, after hesitating for a minute, made his way over to the two figures with his partners behind him. "Uh... Hello..."

As the two of them were making plans, Adrian and Shoutmon both heard the sounds of someone walking up to them. They turned to see another human and two Digimon with him, both of them variants of Agumon. The human seemed to be just entering into high school, based on looks alone. The Digimon themselves definitely looked distinct, the normal Agumon having a happy-go-lucky kind of face, and the BlackAgumon with a more serious look.
The BlackAgumon and Johan's partner Dokamon would make pretty good friends, Adrian thought.
The human shyly said hello to Adrian and Shoutmon in English. Adrian just gave a nice warm smile to the human, speaking back in English as well. "Hey there! Don't be shy, we don't bite... unless you're made of chocolate. Then Shoutmon will give you weird looks."
"Come on, I'm not THAT bad," Shoutmon argued with a slight laugh, "besides he's clearly not made of chocolate. If he were, he'd be all wrapped up and not walking around... and you know, not being alive."
"Whatever you say... anyways, I'm Boriker Adrian, and this is my partner Shoutmon. What are your names?"
The aura of this person would most likely be very intimidating to any up-and-coming new Tamers.
The corner of Kayden's mouth twitched upwards at the joke and the words between the guy and the other Digimon. Once the human introduced himself and his partner, Kayden knew that it was his turn to do the same and so, he did.
"I'm Kayden." He introduced. before motioning to the twins. "This is Yin and that's Yang, my partners. It's...nice to meet you."
"Hey there!" Yin waved happily.
"Hello." Yang grunted slightly.
Kayden glanced at his partners before looking at the human in front of him, now at a loss of what else two say. He absolutely suck at trying to keep the conversation going after the whole introductions were over with and it usually gets awkward pretty quick for him and he always hated when it gets awkward.

"Well it's nice to meet you Kayden. Not trying to come across as rude, but you seem to be a new Tamer. I can tell, as I was a newbie just about two years ago. How long have you had your partners?"
After getting an answer for that, Adrian would then kneel down to get a better look at Yin and Yang. "I like the pun on your names. It's like the Chinese symbol that expresses conflicting forces being interconnected. You know what I'm talking about, right? Although... their names are reversed."
"Yeah, in the symbol Yin is the dark side and Yang is the light side. But here... Yin is the light Agumon, and Yang is the dark BlackAgumon. That's gonna be confusing."
Shoutmon would also get a good look at the two Agumon brothers. He had definitely seen an Agumon before, but the other one was a mystery to him. Was he just wearing a different coat of paint? Did he have different moves? A different type? Adrian was right, these two are confusing!
"So, what do you two like to do? Are you into fighting?"
Kayden rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Uh...I had these two for a few weeks now."
The twins watched as this new human knelt down and listened to him before looking at each other and then looked back at him. Then, Yin puffed out his chest rather proudly. "I'm the one who came up with our names when we were Koromon so it would be easier on others."
Yang just rolled his eyes in response to his brother until Shoutmon spoke up, asking what they liked to do and if he and Yin were into fighting. A small smirk curled at the corner of his mouth.
"We like to eat tasty things," began Yin. "We like to spend time with our partner...And we are into fighting!"
"What do you say we have a friendly match?" ask Yang. "You can choose which one of us you wanna fight first or even both of us at the same time. That's up to you."

"A few weeks? So you're VERY new to the Digital World then. Has everything been going alright for ya? I can probably answer any question you have so far." Adrian remembered what it was like to be a newbie Tamer, so he wanted to help out Kayden as much as he could.
The Agumon, Yin, proudly claimed to have come up with the names when he and his brother were still Koromon. Adrian chuckled and poked Yin in the belly. "Well they are very unique names indeed."
In response to Shoutmon's question, Yin stated that they liked doing the usual stuff, like eating tasty foods, hanging out with Kayden, and of course fighting. Yang even asked if they could do a spar together. Of course Shoutmon wouldn't say no to a friendly spar, so he smirked and summoned his mic staff, spinning it around like a baton before pointing it at the two Agumons.
"Say no more! I'll even let you two make the first move... now come and hit me with your best shot!"
"Yeah, everything's been going fine for us." Kayden stated, glancing over at his partners. "This actually the place where I met them."
Yin rubbed his stomach where he was poked by the human.
The twins perked up when Shoutmon had fullheartedly agreed. They glanced at each other with and, after giving one another a small nod. Then, Yin was the first to charge, heading straight to Shoutmon. He curled his claws into a fist- well, as much of a fist as he could with his claws- and threw a punch right at Shoutmon's stomach.
Yang hanged back, his eyes narrowed, calculating, waiting for the opportunity to rush in when he had a tactic form to fight against the other Digimon, his body tensed and at the ready to join at any time.

"You met them here in the Digital World?" Adrian had asked Kayden when he brought up that they were in the area where they met. "When I met Shoutmon he and my Digivice just jumped out of a TV. Scared the living shit out of me, I'll tell you that much."
"Of course NOW he knows how truly epic I am, and definitely not scary at all," Shoutmon added on, all while a big goofy grin was formed on his face. That expression then almost immediately turned into an expression that pretty much was the "wait..." face. "Well... at least most of the time."
Shoutmon was excited when the twins had agreed to a spar. Adrian and Kayden would stand off to the side to cheer on and potentially help their partners from outside of the battle. Immediately Shoutmon knew something was up when only Yin came running forward, with Yang hanging back and just observing.
Alright, so he's gonna be watching my moves. Better be a bit... unpredictable then.
Unpredicable was not a word that could be used to describe Yin's tactic, which was just to run up and attempt to punch Shoutmon in the stomach. Immediately Shoutmon would summon his mic staff and thrust it upward right into Yin's chin, potentially sending him upwards a few inches and definitely stopping his attack.
"That's like, the number one thing you can't do: go right for the gut-punch. Gotta be more creative than that."
"Yeah." Kayden nodded before he listened to how the other and his partner, chuckling at it and at Shoutmon's input. "I bet."
Yin was sent flying up in the air, seemingly out of it...before he opened his eyes and grinned down at the red Digimon. "Are you sure about that?"
Then, Yang was right there, having used Yang's charge and Shoutmon's attack as distractions to run up on the other Digimon. He balled a fist and uppercut the other Digimon, potentially sending the other stumbling. He had decided to go for an unpredictable move that he doesn't usually do.
Yin landed on the ground and went to Yang's side, still grinning.

"How about you, Kayden? How did you react to seeing Digimon for the first time?" Adrian enjoyed hearing other Tamers' experiences with their first Digimon encounters. Makes him feel like his own reaction was justified, at least somewhat.
Shoutmon's attack on Yin was a success, as he managed to launch the Agumon up slightly into the air. What Shoutmon didn't know was that while he was distracted with Yin, Yang would run up and uppercut Shoutmon from out of nowhere. It would have worked.
Keyword: would have. Shoutmon was tipped off by Yin's smug "are you sure about that?" kind of reaction. Thanks to Shoutmon's quick reflexes, and knowing where Yang was beforehand since he seemingly just ran in a straight line right towards Shoutmon, that gave him time to swing his mic staff right into Yang's gut as well.
"I'll admit I didn't see that coming," Shoutmon complimented the twins, now keeping his eye on both of them, "and it would've worked if Yin just kept silent. My reflexes are quicker than one would think."
"Well, at the time they were two pink blobs when I woke up-Yin jumped on me to wake me up- and let's just say startled is an understatement." Kayden chuckled as he watched the sparing match continued. "Eventually, I view the meeting as one of the best things that happened to me."
Yang grunted, stumbling back when he was hit, rubbing his stomach before sending Yin a glare.
"What? I saw it work before, even with me saying something!" whined Yin.
"Oh yeah? Where?"
"One of Kayden's movies."
Yang stared at the other before he face-palmed. "I have an idiot for a brother. An absolute idiot."
The brothers turned back towards Shoutmon and this time, Yang attacked first.
The fireball went straight towards Shoutmon and Yin bolted after, flanking his the other Digimon and waited for the fireball to connect and when it did, he tackled Shoutmon to the ground.

Adrian laughed. "Yeah, I'd be surprised if someone met a Digimon and weren't at least a little bit surprised. But I agree with you, meeting Shoutmon was the best thing that ever happened to me. I gained so many more friends and I feel like life is more worth living now. Aside from all the horrible stuff going on, that is, but what else is new?"
Shoutmon smirked when he saw Yang rubbing his gut from the attack. He felt pretty proud of himself for being able to fight off two opponents at the same time, even though their plan would have worked if Yin just shut up.
Speaking of, Yin commented that speaking during a surprise attack would have still worked, with his evidence being one of Kayden's movies. An anime bead of sweat rolled down Shoutmon's face as he overhears their conversation. "You two need a better fighting teacher than movies..."
Shoutmon regained his fighting stance as Yang shot a Pepper Breath at him, with Yin running right alongside it. At this point, Adrian would pull out a card and slashed it to give Shoutmon a bit of help.
"Digi-Modify! Musimon card activate!"
Charged with energy, Shoutmon would bop his head and tap his mic on the ground to the beat as a catchy beat surrounds him. He would then hold the top of his mic towards his mouth and unleash that musical energy towards Yin and the Pepper Breath attack. "MUSIC HOUR!"Adrian slashes the Musimon card (Cards remaining: 6/7)
Shoutmon uses Musimon's Music Hour attack on Yin and the Pepper Breath attack.
Music Hour!: The target Digimon shouts a shockwave of musical force at an opponent, dealing very minor damage but knocking them back.
"It's like no matter where you go, there's always baddies doing horrible stuff. It's tiring." Kayden sighs, shaking his head and adjusting his goggles slightly.
"Please ignore my brother." Yang grunted, a embarrassed tone making itself known.. "He's an idiot."
"Hey!" yelped Yin, glaring back at Yang before he continued on.
Kayden looked over at the other tamer, seeing a card now in his hand and scanned it with the digivice, making Kayden blinked. He had never seen something like that before. He turned his attention back to Shoutmon and watched as the red Digimon did his attack.
The Pepper Breath was pretty much snuffed out and when it hit Yin, he yelped and was sent flying back and landed on his back with a groan.
Yang took a deep breath and sent a barrage of Pepper Breaths as Yin got up, a little dazed but he quickly shook himself out of it.

"Yep, but it's the life you gotta get used to. No such thing as Happily Ever After, after all," Adrian said with a chuckle, adjusting his own goggles above his eyes. "Y'know, before I met Shoutmon I never noticed how many people actually wore goggles like I do."
Shoutmon chuckled when Yang called Yin an idiot. "Hey, nothing wrong with us idiots, right? After all, we may just be hiding something special underneath our lack of a think-thing!"
Adrian grinned when he noticed Kayden watching the Digi-Modification process. Surely Kayden must be curious, so he explained it to him. "My Digivice is a special one called a D-Arc. You can get them at the Terminus Mall, although I've seen people just GET them a couple times. They let you use special cards to upgrade your Digimon and give them special attacks or buffs."
The red dragon Digimon smirked at how the Pepper Breath and Yin were both counterattacked by him, but his cockiness allowed him to be pelted by a barrage of Pepper Breaths. Luckily since he was a fire Digimon they didn't hurt him as bad.
"I gotta learn to stop being so cocky..." Shoutmon laughed with a smile. "So you guys like fire, eh? So do I... FIERY FASTBALL!"
Shoutmon had conjured a music note shaped fireball in his hand while he was talking and threw it right at Yang, which would hurl right at him at a wicked speed.Shoutmon used "Fiery Fastball" on Yang.
