It was something of a spur of the moment thing for Archon when Levi had asked him what he wanted to do for Valentine's day. Initially, the BlackVeemon had pondered just staying in Rosewood and appreciating its new status as a city. But, as he thought about it more, he had spent more time in Rosewood than anywhere else, and as pleasant and vibrant of a city as it was, it just kinda felt a bit boring.
Archon wanted to see more of the digital world after all. And what better place to start than its biggest civilization? The metropolis of Terminus City? And so he had suggested a night out in that enormous place - to see the sights and the lights, experience what it was like in such a place. Yes, he knew it was significantly bigger and busier there, but, Archon felt a little excited at the prospect of seeing it with his own eyes.
And so the BlackVeemon and his Veemon boyfriend boarded the morning Trailmon that would take them through the Server Woods, over the Mainframe Hills, across the Network Plains and finally into the city itself in time for evening events. The ride there was mostly uneventful. When the initial excitement wore off, Archon leaned in on Levi gently, falling asleep in an afternoon nap, preparing to reserve his energy for events in the big city tonight.
The nap was cut short by an announcement that they'd shortly be arriving. Archon looked at the time, it was 4pm. Plenty of time left in the day. Already the tracks were surrounded by the outer suburbs of the grand digimon city, the Trailmon slowing down as it became a part of the urban metro on its way to the main station in the heart of the city.
"Whoa... those are skyscrapers?!" Archon asked as he looked out the window to see buildings at least 50 floors high in the distance. He had never seen such structures. The sun was still out so they were still illuminated by daylight, but soon the sun would set and the lights would come on. Archon honestly couldn't wait.
"Heh, man, I'm gettin' excited here!" he exclaimed to Levi. "Anything you suggest we do first?" he asked, hoping to get moving as soon as they could. Several hours of sitting down on a train had rendered him eager to get their night on the town started.
